    I am not agains microtransactions, but if you are going to charge me a lot of money to have the "complete" game experience, then don't sell the game at full price at the beginning.
    Fortnite is doing billions by giving the main game for free.
    If I pay $80 for a game, I expect it to be complete.
    This is the worst Gran Turismo so far.
    Stay away from it.

    A disgrace of a game! $70 bucks for a something that expects me to grinde as though it is f2p!!! Looking to refund. Would rather play Forza Horizon 5 on gamepass, a least that game respects my time.

    I cannot believe the audacity to sky rocket car price, cut earn rates and offer microtransactions all in one go, corporate greed ruining a visually beautiful albeit under development car racing sim.

    GT7 would've made a good base to be updated and has great graphics, it is easy to play in a semi relaxing manner and often simply customising and modifying new cars is the joy. However the    I cannot believe the audacity to sky rocket car price, cut earn rates and offer microtransactions all in one go, corporate greed ruining a visually beautiful albeit under development car racing sim.

    GT7 would've made a good base to be updated and has great graphics, it is easy to play in a semi relaxing manner and often simply customising and modifying new cars is the joy.

    However the car prices and microtransactions ruin this side of things as you won't be reaching those customisations without grinding the game for hours on end or spending real money on an already full price release.

Was an issue on its own, patch 1.07 FURTHER REDUCES payouts for races that have been most rewarding!!! First GT in which you can't sell cars.     Could be a 9/10, the gameplay itself is pretty good. But ... minus 4 points for online only. Minus 2 points for the lacking campaign. Minus 2 points for the grind and minus the last remaining point for the MTX. Sad to say but not recommended in its current state.

    The outage...OK fair enough, but the communication to the community was appalling.

    The fact that Collector Level means what? Nothing....you are supposed to earn credits (or buy them with a credit card) and buy cars and this raises your collector level...it takes so much to raise this and you get zip, nil, nada for it....so why both with it...was it just to fill a gap on the screen?

    The need to be ONLINE or you can't play is predatory.

    No true endurance races...where's the ones of 30-50 laps races...boring with current selections!

    The advertising states you can sell cars...you cant! - But there is an achievement that wants you to buy the same car 10 times....guess what, if you do this you are left with 9 cars you cant use...and can't sell...LOL, what a joke!!

    RIP Gran Turismo franchise...the party is well and truly over.

    Let me know when someone starts a "Class Action" against Sony and Polyphony Digital. 'Fraudulent Misrepresentation' and 'Breach of a Constructive Trust' come to mind.

I like a lot about the game but I really dislike that it has to always be connected to the internet to really play it and the micro transactions are on another level. It would cost well over $100 to buy some cars in the game and that is just absolutely rediculous.

    Primer GT que juego y esta siendo una decepcion! Gráficamente no me parece un escandalo, físicas meh, encima le añades una conexión PERMANENTE(que sin esa conexión y si los serv estan caídos estas jodio), mantenimiento durante 2 dias, micropagos...una "pseudocampaña" corta

After the long install and then a huge update followed by a day and a half before a 3 day outage and yet another update I finally got to what should have been smooth, fun, fast driving. Sadly that is not the case. Not even    TLDR: Do not buy this game.

Sadly that is not the case. Not even close.

    The 'permanent' online 'feature' is about as stable and reliable as a recent US president. It drops out so regularly that one wonders if they are running the servers on a raspberry pi with an acoustic coupled 2600 baud modem? This wouldn't be so bad if it didn't instantly kick you out of everything you've been doing and lose your hard earned awards.

    Then there's the excessive load times between functions and features. This only exacerbates the frustration because you spend so much time just trying to carry on with the game. There is a massive lack of actual playable single player content and the multiplayer content is less playable than the previous versions. It is still annoyingly policed by some ai which has some 'creative' choices on rule application.

    The only bright spot is that the new rendering in race is beautiful, but that on it's own is not enough for the cost of a PS5 and this game.    … Expand

    The only tangible addition to this Gran Turismo over the previous games in the series is the predatory micro transactions and exploitative gameplay loop. Do not buy, but if you already did then refund it.

    What is it like to play this game? It’s like paying £70 and PD and Sony reach in to your pockets demanding more. For a game that you can’t play for an undetermined amount of time every week while they do ‘server maintenance’. I bought a PS5 at launch for this game, and now I’ll be selling it.

    Beautiful gameplay and details. But the always online and severe mtx ruins the game. Sony seems driven to get a piece of mtx money. Next thing you know, god of war will have mtx for weapons and skins. Hopefully they make some changes. $70-$90 game plus mtx is ridiculous.

    Broke my heart - I've been a fan from the very first game back in 97' and now greed has taken over. Snake-in-the-grass tactics. Wait for release of top review scores and then update it with championship credits cut in half.

    Total slap in the face to gamers, we need to stick together as a community and boycott this corruption that is happening in our recent times.

    Think twice before purchasing.

It has microtransactions, you can't sell cars, and it's buggy on last-gen consoles! Shame on you, Sony and shame on you even more, Polyphony! You're nothing but lies!     I already paid for the game, and now I supposed to pay for each car separately? I don't have the time to grind 5 hours for a "basic" car, nonetheless 20 hours for a "super" car. And no, I don't have the money to buy these in real life, but not even in A GAME? The first time ever I want my money back... And I even pre-ordered Cyberpunk.

    They have roulette tickets that are earned by driving 40 odd kms each day but the spins are rigged. Generally 4 out of 5 spins you will collect the least valued prize on the wheel.
    If you have poor internet connection you can forget about playing this game even as a solo player because they make most of the game inaccessible.
    Did I mention the maintenance downtime? One time it was down - making it nearly unplayable for 32 hours.

My wife bought me GT7 as a super-random and unexpected present, because I was so hyped due to reviews and I already had made some game purchases this month so I didn't want to spend anymore in games for a while, but I really wanted to play the game. I came home after work, opened my cloths drawer and there it was. What a beautiful wife I have. Played the game for hours and hours... then the weird "you can't play your **** physical game because of some server **** happened. I was quite angry, but it was like: you know? Elder Ring, Triangle Strategy... **** GT7 today, I'll come back tomorrow.

    Only to find that a patch was released, making the game so ****ty I'm short of words. It's an absolute insult for the players. An insult for the franchise. An insult for a **** sane brain. But the worst **** thing in the world is that I have this horrible feeling because I don't want to tell her that the game she bought me with all her heart has becomed a huge pile of **** because of a greedy company that will charge full price and then throw you to a microtransaction hell, just because the huge sales success are not enough for them.

    Spinning wheels are rigged, which I realized after... 7 throws? It was like: c'mon, in Forza Horizon I get like 1294814 cars with this thing. I can't be THAT unlucky, can I? You feel cheated because you are been cheated, and the publisher won't say a **** word.

    I'm so **** sad. When Cyberpunk came out (I had it reserved because I loved Witcher trilogy and the company in general) it was bad. Felt really bad, but it was my money. And I have played literally thousands over thousands of games in my life to confront that feeling.

    But I just can't manage this horrendous feeling of someone stealing from my wife. I assure you I could punch the responsibles in the face, no matter the price. They deserve a big slap in the face. Let's bury them until they rectify and make GT7 a proper, true, DRM free, single player game. And go demand the press that they redo their reviews in order to adjust to today's reality, because the game they reviewed is far from the one we have in our hands now.

With prizes halved. This is a joke. In professional motorsport you need to buy all kinds of racing tires. Make us buy every single set to use ...     Best GT games yet! Awesome atmosphere and real driving feeling. Graphics could be a bit better but it still looks very good.

    It's my third decade that I play GT series and I should mention it's awesome, of course there are some cons in the game like there is no time trial before starting the race, but I really don't understand why it's got so many 0 scores, by the way those who played GT series know how this game is and 0 scores will not avoid them to experience this game.

Ok, you can race Goodwood-Track and gain 52.500 € in about 5 minutes per race... so in only 353 races and 29.5h of pure fun you get your F1 for 18500000 credits... how absurd is that??? laugh...

    The game is not bad at it's core gameplay, but the gamemodes feel a bit barebones. However, some otherthings are just unacceptable.
    Turning on MTX after review phase is really scammy. In general, the amount of MTX is unacceptable for a 80$ game. Instead of making it a blatant cash grab, just make it a f2p game and noone would complain.     First racing game I've bought since GT2. I'm an adult now and don't have much time to play but wanted to give this ago as I played it with my siblings and father. While I enjoy the gameplay, I don't understand why every car isn't unlocked by default in some "free-play" & co-op mode.     I had a plan in how I would finish the game one by one, first play trough the GT cafe than all Gold in the license test than all Gold in the missions than than finish 1st in all Event Races than all Gold in the Circuit Experiences and last a platinum trophy.
    After I finished all the steps except the Trophies, I checked what I need for the platinum Trophy and I realized that with update    I had a plan in how I would finish the game one by one, first play trough the GT cafe than all Gold in the license test than all Gold in the missions than than finish 1st in all Event Races than all Gold in the Circuit Experiences and last a platinum trophy.
    After I finished all the steps except the Trophies, I checked what I need for the platinum Trophy and I realized that with update 1.08 that made it harder to obtain platinum because I need to buy specific cars which are now harder to get and because they are so expensive.
    I lost my joy to play anymore, thanks PD for your greed for the monetization.
    I was joking to my wife that I spend so much more time with GT in total than with her in my life but it looks like every dream has come to an end.    … Expand

    Game is online only. Paid 100 euro's for 25th anniversary edition, only to not be able to play the career when there is a server maintenance. Stop pushing those microtransactions! Get it out of the game and give us a normaal ingame economy like we did with earlier GT games.     You are basically forced to buy cars with real money. $70 ( game ) + $40 ( car 1 ) + $40 ( car 2) + $20 ( car 3)...etc. you could end up spending $500 after paying $70 for a a game. Also, THIS IS AN ONLINE ONLY GAME. You can't play without being online. Developer and Sony screw the gamers over by reducing the payout and increase the car cost. STAY AWAY FROM GT7 until they have fixed this.

    I love this game but the crappy raffle system isn't at all fair as you'll 95 percent of the time get the smallest prize, and the recent update makes it even more of a grind fest. Further to that, you can't even play the game unless you're online on their servers... Please sort this out!

    Great graphics and game play but like everyone else credits way too tedious to obtain. And what's with all the old models of cars??? Thought Audi had released a few more models since the old TT. Where's the rs6, rs7 and that's the case with most manufacturers eg McLaren Volkswagen Porsche. Cmon guys!

    I’ve been looking forward to this game for years. YEARS. And I bought my PS5 for GT7 but after playing it I can agree with all of the other reviews in that the way this game has been built is impossible to win at and is no longer fun to play. When the server went down and I could no longer play the game? That’s not ok for a game of this price.

    Disgusting, predatory and anti-consumer practices. It's beyond words how disappointing this is for what was for decades the greatest racing series available. I hope there is a day where we can play offline without any microtransactions but the reputational damage being done right now feels equivalent to the death of a family member. Trust is easily lost and difficult to win back.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]
