    Honestly, for a long time GT fan, since GT 2, I am very very very disappointed with this game. Making it micro transactions central is a no no, payouts suck, the whole online system sucks. This is by far the worst game and I did not buy it and will not buy it. I went ahead and bought forza and F1. Will be looking into Grid too.

    The reason this is getting a 1 from me purely for the DRM use the lack of feeling like a game when it comes to the menus. Used car lot is awful, can't sell cars (that used to be a good way of making money in game) can't win a prize multiple times from re-doing championships .     Disgusting predatory microtransactions that aren't "micro." Online DRM. I wanted the same feeling as GT3. Good music, lots of cars, not blinking from racing for hours. I couldn't play the game for days and you are trying to force me to pay more in addition to the price I've already paid for the **** game.

    Great game but it fails to deliver. Graphics are not great, urency broken, lack of diversity in races. I hate grinding the same couple of tracks, with the same 4-5 cars all over again. It fails to deliver. And the daily rewards are unmotivating. I regret buying the game!

    What a sham this game turned out to be all because of greed. The progression of this game is totally broken all due to micro transactions. Not to mention the always online requirement even for single player campaign. Nothing makes sense here if you take greed out of the equation.

    I was big fan of this series since the first GT game. I could enjoy this game till GT6.

    In patch 1.08 PD made it harder to make in-game money by reducing race rewards in hope to force people to pay real money for buying expensive cars

    That's ridiculous.

    If Sony refuses to refund digital sales, then class-action lawsuit; the product was altered after sale/reviews without user consent or choice, in a manner that fundamentally impacts enjoyment of an entertainment product. If that's not some kind of implicit contract violation I don't know what is.

    I've been a fan of the GT franchise since the first game, I've bought and played everything to date, and it's unfortunate the treatment pholyphony is giving its players, out of sheer greed. My desire is to return my game purchased in physical media.

    The micro transactions are absolutely ridiculous, the always online is ridiculous and the game was down for more than 30hrs just so they can decrease the money earned for races to incentivize buying cars with real life money, is the scummiest things I’ve seen. Worse than EA imo.

    Ruined by low payout that was nerfed in favor of microtransactions. The biggest issue for me is that you can not play single player mode without conection to the server. Server was down for 2 days which ment you can not play the game that you paid for. And why do you need server conection to play single mode???

I remember GT6 obline where you got weekly missions to make some extra money and that is gone. I am selling the game and going back to GT6 and I am 37 old and I was the biggest fan of GT series from the first game 25 years ago. I even planned to buy Ps5 just for this game alone. Luckily I could not get my hands on ps5.

    Oh, and to play an offline single player game these days means you have to be online.
    That means that when their servers are offline, guess what, the game that you paid $154 for is unusable.    Greed Turismo 7. A real shame. They told me they couldn’t because the game was downloaded to my console after purchased and suggested for me to reach out to the game’s developers instead.     I finished the "career mode" last night. Only took a couple of days of playing to beat that. I earned 72 cars from it, a few good ones. Now I have 1.7 million credits and the career is over. There are still 352 cars to collect many costing 10 to 20 million each. Credit payouts are low, The career mode is weak. Gotta grind or spend cash on micro transactions.     Firstly the game feels really good to play and the races generally feel exciting... Edge of the seat stuff especially on the 'Ring with varying weather conditions. Scapes mode as good as ever has been extended to add more scenes. Single player is great giving you a breadth of experiences in different cars and tracks. Love the cafe card idea and gives you a wealth of varying classes andFirstly the game feels really good to play and the races generally feel exciting... Edge of the seat stuff especially on the 'Ring with varying weather conditions. Scapes mode as good as ever has been extended to add more scenes. Single player is great giving you a breadth of experiences in different cars and tracks. Love the cafe card idea and gives you a wealth of varying classes and marques as you progress through and a nice set of cars once complete. Missions are a nice addition too and add an extra dimension. In general it's a good game which could have been great if not for the in game economy and always online requirement.

    Recommended if you love the series and are happy to accept the couple of points above. Best Gran Turismo yet in terms of the racing and handling. Had more exciting racing in this against the AI than any other GT so far.    … Expand

    The basics of the game OK its gran turismo, its good ! BUT the campaign stops abruptly without endurance race in it. I'm disappointed with the life of the game. The difficulty of the permits and experience of the circuit is questionable. I hope next patch will be better .. Online not tested yet.

    I went into this new Gran Turismo title expecting many things, as one would with the reputation the series has built up over the past couple decades. And my expectations were met with a great simulator with a fantastic feel and love for cars, until about a week into the game's lifespan since release. Gran Turismo games are heavily based around their single-player campaign, this has beenI went into this new Gran Turismo title expecting many things, as one would with the reputation the series has built up over the past couple decades. And my expectations were met with a great simulator with a fantastic feel and love for cars, until about a week into the game's lifespan since release. Gran Turismo games are heavily based around their single-player campaign, this has been the norm and a large part of the appeal for many fans of the series. The problem is that with GT7, the expected "campaign" seems to be completely unplayable in this title without a constant internet connection. This game is Unplayable, inaccessible, and impossible to progress unless the GT7 online servers are up and running, and unless your internet connection is stable.

    With that issue, there comes another fundamental problem with GT7, and that seems to be a mix of various gameplay restrictions that are new to this title specifically. In past Gran Turismo games, the player would be able to sell their cars in order to attain in-game credits used to buy cars and parts. These cars and parts are integral to progression, as the upgrade mechanic allows for older, more affordable cars to be modified and "grow alongside the player" so to speak. GT7 does not allow you to do this whatsoever. GT7 is the first Gran Turismo game where the player is unable to sell vehicles. This new restriction may be due to the new car collection-driven progression mechanic that Polyphony Digital has introduced, which makes sense on the surface. But this makes even less sense given that the various track payouts throughout the game have been heavily decreased, and car prices and part prices have stayed the same.

    Polyphony Digital wants the players to grind too hard! It's as simple as that. This is a cause for concern for players who happened to spend $60-70 on a driving simulator game expecting full access to all the features of previous titles, and much more.

    The most painful bit of this entire mess of issues is the microtransactions sector of core gameplay. With the issues stated prior, Polyphony Digital and Sony seem to have given players an escape from this incessant need for a perilous "grind". One can spend a very significant amount of real world money in exchange for little in-game currency.

    This tells us players one thing: Polyphony Digital and Sony expect players to complete the immensely short and dragging "Cafe Mode" tutorial/career section, then grind and grind to attain better cars, be incapable of grinding with the steep prices afterwards, and then buy egregious amounts of currency to be only slightly closer to building a proper car collection necessary to progress.

    As a player and long-time fan, I believe and can firmly state that this is akin to an elaborate cash-grab. This is Sony's leap for monetary gain disguised as a polished and well-designed racing simulator.    … Expand

    Am I playing the PS original? Because GT7 certainly doesn’t feel new. The only thing worse than the PS5 is the Xbox series X! There’s a reason the Switch (much less powerful) system is winning the gaming war. Great games! Classic games upgraded to make them instantly familiar, but more advanced. PS and Xbox should be embarrassed.

    Always online is the worst especially if we paid full price for the game! We players want full control of offline content! cost of cars, pay outs from racing is ridiculous… SONY please fix this because I really want to enjoy this game!

    Completed the cafe campaign but only got 69/400 cars. The graphics look great. The interiors of the cars look amazing along with cars themselves. The dynamic weather is also cool, being able to race in early morning until the sun shines is amazing. The license test are helpful and very challenging. There is no story or career mode. You complete missions that award credits and vehicles. Completing a mission and learning about a vehicles manufacturing is enlightening. There are rally races which add to the game. The games physics, feel good racing , along with the haptic feedback, which is done surprisingly well, make this game races fun and exciting. The problem is the "campaign" is short. There is no endurance races and there are no F1 or kart races for campaign.The game seems unfinished to get you to buy microtransactions and buy all the cars. The campaign does not offer enough for the amount of cars needed to complete your collection . The game is online only, and there are bugs that stop progression. One of the bugs prevents you from tuning a vehicle, which was a mission in the "campaign". Other bugs, prevent you from saving tuning loadouts and also change tires for a dirt rally license test. The User Interface does take up alot of the screen and cannot be customized. In multiplayer they have people that ride the walls without time penalties, this allows them to keep their top speed around turns. There is a two player split screen which is great, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE ONLINE FOR THAT. Changed score from 4/10 to 1/10 after they nerfed game… Expand

    It's a wonderful game with an economy targeted to create a feel of ownership of your vehicles instead of them raining on your head like in the previous title. 30 hours in I've not had a single incentive to use their microtransactions so really don't get the review bombing - just play the game.

    Everything has been said. I just returned the game and i would recommend everyone doing the same. Nevertheless, i still love the actual game play, so if the fix the issues i may come back to it in the future. Till the then Goodbye GT7!

    Game is amazing, microtransactions suck but this is just pathetic, doesnt deserve this bad of a review cause of a thing they will fix with simple social media backlash. Microtransactions are also optional, whats the fun in a game where you dont have to grind to unlock new things, if you got everything for free right away that would be insanenly boring

    The game constantly reminds you that you can top up credits with real money. The game uses psychological tricks (invites for premium cars) to try to tempt you to buy them, adds artificial scarcity into the game to pressure you to buy things - all the while constantly reminding you that you can pay real money to get credits fast. On top of that, the latest patch reduced the amount of credits earned in most of the top awarding races by a huge amount.

    It feels shady and underhanded, and I wish I could refund my copy.    … Expand

    Absolutely criminal that they think this is the way to go. An awesome game totally ruined by greed. What is wrong with these people? We play games like this because there is a very slim chance of ever owning these beautiful cars, it's an utter disgrace.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
