    The driving is great as always, but the selection of cars is many variants of the same cars and the MTXs are a joke. OK they are not essential, but the game is a grindfest and has predatory pay to win mechanics, which isn't on in a full priced release.

    Real shame that this game is a cash grab as the graphics are decent and more importantly the mechanics are decent too.

    I was so excited and pumped up for GT7, i had even preordered it last year. What a fool i was taken for. This game is a huge disservice and stab in the back for any long time GT fan, or any fan of racing games in general. This game looks fantastic and plays well, no faults there. Please do not get lured into buying this money trap of a game. This game is nothing but a big stab in the back to us all.     Beware, this is not the game you grew up with. I was excited to play this when I saw all the reviews. However it is a constant grind and the races hardly pay anything at all. The always online is a definite problem as seen by the servers being down and not being able to play a $60 game. Microtransactions ruined this title.     At launch this game suffered from awful music, terrible menu system and the worst campaign ever.
    Forcing you to spend in game currency on cars you don't want to progress the campaign.
    The whole café is abysmal and now with the in game money reductions and server issues this game can not be recommended.

    Never thought Sony and PD would go for this type of greed. Off road racing is broken. Always online. And now they cut the credit rewards in halve to push mtx. They totally destroyed my lust to play this game. Wish i could get my money back. I feel scammed.

    This game actually deserves to get negative reviews if it were possible based solely on the fact that a different game has been provided to critics and professional reviewers. Not a single reviewer had 99% of the single player portion of the game blocked if no active internet connection was provided and there was no free to play monetization present during the review period.

    A mostly single player game, from a series that has been mostly single player focused since its inception, cannot and should not ever have an always online requirement, especially it is implemented with the sole purpose of forcing ludicrous monetization on players who have paid full price for the game. There is no way to play off the disc with the console off-line to earn credits properly as the game locks you out of content unless you are online and up to date to its latest patch. Absolutely unacceptable. I returned my disc for a refund and I am hoping there might be an attorney out there who loves GT and decides to do a class action lawsuit for the dishonest, shady and anti consumer garbage Polyphony and Sony have pulled with this game so they’ll have to rethink continuing with this garbage and going down this path with other games going forward.    … Expand

    I purchased GT7 and then four days later they cut in-game income by more than 50%. As it was no longer the game I originally purchased I requested a refund, but Sony told me to jump in a lake. Unfortunately, leaving a review is now the only recompense I am able to take.

    Sony should be sued for fraud, what they’ve done is awful and a big middle finger to their fans. Definitely ruined trust in a company that I thought I could trust. Will be certainly waiting for the next God of War now, who knows what they’ll do with that after it launches. Cannot trust Sony ever again!

    Os gráficos são excelentes, assim como a resposta no controle, mas o jogo só funciona online, servidores offline por mais de 24 horas depois de uma atualização que diminuiu os prêmios pra te obrigar a comprar créditos ou ficar horas repetindo a mesma coisa pra poder pagar as micro transações no jogo que teve preço Full é no minimo desgastante.

You can play and earn the money or pay with real money to get money credits in GT7. But they nerfed EVERYTHING to get money that it’s worth to get. I PAY $70.PLUS TAXIt’s fun at the beginning. Exploring everything they throw at you but after a period of time you start to realize that you REALLY need to start buying credits with REAL money to get what you want. And i know it’s a choice. You can play and earn the money or pay with real money to get money credits in GT7. But they nerfed EVERYTHING to get money that it’s worth to get. I PAY $70.PLUS TAX lol for this game. I've always loved the GT franchise, even the not as good titles have been great games. GT has helped grow my love for cars and racing, so I am not taking this lightly. GT7 has the potential to be the best game in the franchise. You get some missions and of course the license tests but the available races are lacking in variety and never mind the low prizes (that they cut back once the Devs found out that people were grinding half ass decent money to get the stupidly priced cars!!!)

    On the car prices, sure I can **** a bit, but the actual costs of vehicles would be a moot point if the cars stayed in the dealership... like every other GT game!!!

    BTW, you can't play the game offline...??? Another blow to the gut!!!

    GT is not worth the $$$ please buy something else or save your hard earned $$$ and if you do own it... DO NOT PAY REAL $$$ for their cars!!! This is a total MTX scheme that has destroyed the gaming experience!!! Sony and PD are crooks and have ruined the game. You have been warned!    … Expand

    The game is designed like a cash grab phone game with horribly slow progression. They weren't bilking the players for enough money so they slashed the race rewards to try and force players to spend more.

Tracks unlock through these menu completions, and so you never have a lot of choice in what youll be driving or where you'll be racing. The daily workout reward doesn't seem to be affected by the number of days in a row you've completed it, and the roulette tickets are absolutely terrible because they're weighted towards the worst prize even though it looks like an equal chance. I've gotten maybe 20 of these, and 18 of those i've gotten the lowest cash prize. The other times, i received a car part for a car i'll probably never own (and cant sell the part), and received a car i already own (and can't sell). In past GT's, the roulette wheel was something to look forward to! Now it's a wheel of misery.
    It's a true shame, because the core of the game is good, they just messed up how all of these core game pieces interact.    … Expand

    A fantastic simulation of motorsport needlessly vandalised. I want my £90 back. That amount of money will net you a copy of GT4, Tourist Trophy AND a used PS2 to play them on.     I paid around £80 to be able to drive incredible beautiful cars which I could never hope to even touch in real life. Instead, I’m forced to grind under-rewarding races for hours just to buy a single nice-ish car. Or, of course, I could pay even more money on micro-transactions. Disgusting. A car collecting game where you can’t afford any of the cool cars. I will never buy a GT game again.

I would rather pay seven month of XBOX game pass which at least is more honest in their policy than this game.

    If we are striving for realism, in real life wouldn't a driver have sponsors paying for cars? Wouldn't a driver be able to get supplemental income through endorsements?

    All the fun driving gameplay in the world (it's admittedly a fun driving experience) can't make up for the dread you feel knowing that you either have to pay money out of your own pocket, or play for an obscene amount of time, if you want to buy the cars, pay for the upgrades, and pay for maintenance.

    I made an account for metacritic in order to rate this game. The devs are starting off the year strong lol... Their mistreatment of the fanbase and overall lack of responsibility makes me think EA had a hand in the development process. It's 2022 and game devs are still taking notes from the worst.. I thought they knew better.

GT Café offers a great look into the history of manufacturers, cars and race series. Though legendary cars might be difficult to obtain for people that don’t have a lot of time, the grinding is something that always played a role in the history of GT games.     But not in this game, after completing the campaign you hardly earn any credits to buy cars and the in game prices of cars are so high that there is no other choice then to buy the extreme expensive micro transactions.

    Absolutely onacceptable and completely destroys the image of sony and their flagship game gran turismo.

    Some actual examples:
    - after 24 hours of racing i earned 3.5 million credits through the campaign. 2.5 million of those credits were needed to buy cars and tuning updates (which are also really expensive) to complete the campaign.
    - after the campaign credits were lowered to around 30.000 credits per race or if you want to play the arcade mode on professional level to create your own challenges the credits earned are lowered to around 5000 credits per race !!!
    - then the new cars came for sale, there are two cars now in the dealer for a 6 days period that will cost you 12 and 18 million credits (a total of 30 million credits), that's impossible to get with the ordinary gameplay, you can't earn that amount of credits in 6 days as a casual gamer.
    - So if you want those TWO!!! cars, you have to buy credits online. This will cost you 300 Euros for 30 million credits !!! So to have those two time limited cars sony expects you to fork out 300 euros for two cars.

    That's a psychological game (the time limit) where sony should be ashamed off. If this is the road sony is going to take for there GAAS platform then it's over for the sony playstation brand. People can't afford that extensive kind of microtransactions greed. I think that people at microsoft will be very happy with these direction sony has taken now.

    conclusion,
    the game is a great game in base, but the fact that the game is locked behind a never seen before high paywall after completing the game makes is a useless game. If you want cars after completing the campaign expect to pay thousends of dollars on micro transactions, the current pricing of 300 euro's for just two cars shows how greedy they become.

    The gran turismo history of 25 years is destroyed with this release and i'm really sad about that.    … Expand

This game turned itself into a full scam after the 1.07 update, it was hard enought already to earn money and they just made it even harder. I think most people are review bombing this game for the wrong reasons , I preordered this game and have been excited for it since it was announced way back when,and have been playing it since launch ,and yes I was disappointed when the game was “Under Maintenance” for over 30 hrs but I understood the reasons behind it, as far as the gameplay goes I think it’s the best racing game ever created( a Masterpiece, if you will),I have already put in over 100 hrs since launch , I’m addicted to everything from the racing , menu books, customization, tuning , saving up for “Legendary Cars, etc.,and the developers have a lot more planned for those that are mature enough to stick with it,as far as “Grinding for Credits goes , I believe there’s enough variety here already not to have to keep racing the same high payout tracks over&over again and finally the “Micro-transactions are what most people aren’t angry about and in my opinion that’s understandable, but no one is forcing you to buy into them, it’s a choice ,one that I choose to never participate in, the fact the game is always online is starting to be a trend in video games as a whole , and like it or not , everybody should just get used to it , Sony isn’t budging!Thanks for reading , GodBless… Expand

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]
