    This game is really fun. I haven't played anything for a long time that felt this good. It seems like a lot of games recently just lack the "need" to improve and keep playing. This game has that. I miss when games were fun and this brings it back. It has some silly bugs and stuff but if you look past that.     Everyone complaining about the performance mode needs to slowdown. I play on resolution mode in 4k l. Yeah it's locked at 30fps but it looks and plays great. Just turn on grain effect and the visuals are fantastic. Especially at night. As a dying light 1 veteran I can proudly say I'm enjoying it so far.     The game is released in an outrageously half-baked state. It's a disgrace that the developers and publisher thought this is right. I have the PS5 version, ~15-20 hours in and I haven't seen a single cutscene that would actually play as it should. Camera is moving into the wall and into other character's groins, Once I saw a character I was talking to standing and her head was twisting around like a propeller. I haven't seen a SINGLE CUTSCENE in the game that would play as "intended". Sometimes I was just talking to a bottle or a baseball bat, in worst cases, there are new characters introduced in audio but I don't see anything from a 2 minute cutscene..
    Regarding the PS5 version: To be honest my first reaction was that damn, that graphics look dated as hell! Textures are blurry, trees especially looking bad. Some textures are amateurish, looks like they tries to compensate detail with chaotically layering noise on top of everything. You could easily tell that it was made for PS4, the level of detail on models id very low, looks like it was optimised for PS4 heavily. It is NOT USING ANY OF THE PS5 FEATURES.. Why call it a PS5 game then? Sometimes I felt the trigger is harder to pull but there's no sophistication behind it, just a blind value. And nothing else.. It plays and feels last gen, including the gameplay..
    The gameplay reminded me of Far Cry series in a bad way.. No matter how powerful you are, your character is forced to be a dumbass in the cutscenes so other characters can get a hand over him, beat him, take his stuff etc.. This kind of a storytelling is lame and should not be allowed.. If you are building a power fantasy about a parkouring high jumping zombie killing hero, showing him get beaten up in every cutscene is just a kick in the balls for the power fantasy of the game.. Absolutely bad game design..
    Characters are introduced in the beginning as they know each other, but let's be honest this is the N+1-th zombie game nobody remembers the first one or their characters that much.. Playing the "familiar card" in this case was a waste of effort..
    Most decisions in the game you have to make are either arbitrary or outright illogical, like destroying a power generator. Really? would you really destroy a power generator in a world where UV light and Power generators literal difference are life and death?
    To be honest, I found all fractions equally irritating, so I made my choices in a way when I anticipated more people to die, but there's no misanthropic choice, the game just forcing you to be enemies with one no matter what you do.. The fractions itself are quite "on the nose", "good people in the church" "bad people are the police". Really? Can you be more cliché?
    Game systems are predictable and outdated..
    Just so I can tell something good too, character models are reasonably detailed, but since the cutscenes are **** altogether, you cannot really enjoy them, unless you like to view them from 1mm up close since the cameras are all over the place..
    The very first running music in the first cutscene is a steal from Ghost in the Shell, from a relatively unknown album called Megatech Body. I mean it was a straight steal, not even just a variation..
    I understand the makers desire to showcase the weapon models they worked on, but removing repair is a ****ty way of doing that.. They could just increase the loot count and make every weapon model useful in a way.

    All in all there' some value in the game, but it would need another half a year or more to fix the bugs, another year to properly make this a PS5 title. In this state I'd not recommend it to anyone except fanatics of the first game.. I'd not recommend it mostly because the Publishers and the Developers were confident to release the game in its current sorry state. I mean none of the cutscenes are working in your MAIN STORY!! How the hell is THAT slipping through QR?    … Expand

    I wish games were released in a presentable condition these days.

    This is another botched release, akin to Cyberpunk 2077 and Battlefield 2042.

    Unless you want to throw even more money at them, make sure you don't get the special or deluxe edition. You can't redeem the in-game items that come with it.

    Great game. Parkour is significantly more fun than in the first game and the voice acting for some of the characters, particularly the first baddie, is fantastic.

    If you enjoyed Dl1 then you'll love this game and it's only going to improve as it goes.

    It’s a amazing game been playing it non stop and I’ve only ran into maybe 1 or 2 bugs but that’s when I was playing in quality mode and not performance… I’ve noticed performance mode has less glitches..?? At least in my experience playing love the open world and loot.:. It’s literally my favorite game I’ve played

    La sufficienza solo perché tutto sommato è divertente il lato parkour e buona la possibilità di poter giocare la storia in Co-op (che tra l'altro è pure rotta perché devi rivisitare ogni posto scoperto poi nella tua partita e non si salvano i progressi).

    Literally only came here because of some of the reviews I have seen. The game is great. I am a fairly picky gamer. I have played so soo many games it's not even funny. I have played boring games and games that get stale like Assassins creed, or far cryThis game is not far cry, it's a dope game. Buy it.

    Game looks old, writing is really poor, loot and enemies fall through the map, enemies will spawn out of thin air, weapons cant be repaired..like really this is bad game design this game was clearly released broken.

    Here's the deal, if you liked dead island or dying light. You'll love this. You can tell the devs put a lot of effort into this game. I haven't run across a bug yet.

    People need to stop giving DL2 a 0 because there’s no Italian. It seems to me that they can understand and speak English just fine but here’s my review. I love this game, the parkour is fun, the story is very interesting. I’m not very far into the game but there are a few bugs but that’s fine because none of them are game breaking.

    Dying light kept me playing for months and still SO hooked on this game. Part 2 surpasses all my expactations and beyond. Amazing graphics, fluid parkour controls and the music is again outstanding. The only thing i dont like so much is how "floatly" the jumping is ...

    Techland did it again! If you liked Dying Light 1, this is all that package but elevated to the next level. Parkour is better, combat is better in some aspects, story much improved compared to the first one. To top it all off, the city level design truly makes for a parkour dream. I only encountered minor issues so far that did not break the flow of the game. Playing this game at 60fps isTechland did it again! First part was one of the scariest zombie games you could ever find, it has an amazing plot and gameplay. Second part is just for a little children: no more blowing heads or scary zombies, no more interesting evil characters or normal plot.     The game is very good, but the fact that I can't play with my friends on ps4 ruined the experience. I'm playing alone because all my friends are on ps4 and only me on ps5. And downloading the ps4 version, the save is not shared between generations!

    Optimization in this game, very even nothing. I don’t have very good hardware, it’s a little higher than the minimum, but it plays at stable 60 frames, but in the city there were drawdowns up to 40, but this can be pushed to my PC. There are enough bugs in the game, but it can be forgiven, because the game itself was released a couple of days ago (in the same cyberpunk it was much worse), I think there will be much less of them in the near future.

    Dying Light 2 é claramente uma evolução do 1 tanto em fluidez de parku combate com zumbis e humanos e dinâmica na customização de personagem e modificação de armas mas, como em qualquer jogo tem seus problemas técnicos como textura, física etc. Contudo creio que em breve vai melhorar nesse quesito já que a desenvolvedora prometeu suporte durante anos nesse jogo.

    I didn’t liked DL1 - but DL2 is different story. Great game, really. Graphics is not mind blowing,but gameplay is absolutely 10/10.

    So, we finally know why there were so many delays: Techland needed more time to downgrade it all to PS4 standards. It's evident from the get-go that this game was not designed, not optimized, for PS5. It's not as broken as Cyberpunk was at its launch, but that's not saying much. I guess we just have to accept this sorry state as the new normal of game business.

Same crap as Far Cry: New Dawn, boring world with boring weapons, boring people problems. They chose the worst part of the apocalypse, rebuilding a world where nothing happens. I personally don't like it. You can choose between 2 sides you want to help. Survivors and Peace Keepers. Both are stupid idiots, one looks like beggars and the other like paintball kids playing soldiers. You can't manually save so if you glitch into a wall during some missions and die you fail it and bye bye. Most of the characters aren't very interesting and the few that are worthwhile aren't super essential to the story. The zombies feel like they are just there to fill out the world, you almost don't have to fight them, the main opponents are humans. The physics and behaviour of the zombies is disappointing, you just sneak past most of them anyway so they don't see you and when you do fight one you don't break their bones with your punches and they don't X-ray like in DL1 which was one of the best features, you don't break their bones with every punch like in DL1. You're just taking away the Hp's that levitate above them to die, also almost everything here defies physics and zombies, humans and Aiden fly through the air like nothing. You can't throw weapons here, stomp on zombies' heads, my favorite two-legged kick is basically useless and difficult to use here. Overall the skills here are boring and useless.… Expand

    playing. Games hardly ever hold my attention anymore. Running at a silky smooth 60fps this game plays and looks like a dream to me.     A very good game, I like every element, and the most unique is parkour, combat, music. Villedor looks very good and has a great atmosphere in the city especially at night. Without revealing too much of the plot at night there is an adrenaline rush and a chase element which gives a lot of satisfaction. It's just a good game, I had no bugs, time well spent.

Upgrades are limited and for most part are useless. So they wasted all attention to weapon design because you use weapons like a junk that will break And you have no guns.     Estou jogando e curtindo muito o game. A gameplay dele me agradou e a história também, e único bug que encontrei foi na fala dos personagens sendo cortadas bem no final da frase. Sinto que o jogo ainda precisa ser otimizado mas até com esses problemas ainda a experiência do jogo na minha opinião está ótima.

    Singleplayer works i guess but COOP is so broken, desync, duplicated objects like chests, gastanks, explosions not syncing, Keypresses not working, the worst of all is that your [Q] button just stops working all the time so no scanning. And this delay/bug also works for other keys so many times you fall to your death because key stop working in COOP. Singleplayer no issues. It looks like they try to sync your Keypresses to the host but that should be Client side, As soon as the matchmaking server goes offline you lose your connection. P2P anyone??? It is very VERY frustrating to play in COOP.

    Also it is a CONSOLE port game, everything is taylored to Console and controller. Your weapons, tools etc must be chosen with a long press, no easy weapon swap with scroll wheel, no they add scroll wheel to your trowables. It is such a shame, DL1 was EPIC. this is just a sloppy secondhand game. Too much focus on Story which is really bad, very bad acting, sound design is very bad, Adults do child voices it is sooo cringy.

    The gameplay, parkour zombieslaying is the only thing that is OK. the rest is soo cringy and bad. DL3 will be a NO buy next time. Such a shame    … Expand

    I'm having an absolute blast with this game. Love it, can't wait to see the years of free add-ons like they did with the first one. So happy it came out. I have bugs, yes, but they will be fixed and they aren't game breaking.

    I was a bit sceptic a few days ago with all the bad reviews going on from little butthurts becuase I was already pre-order it, but everything was as I expected, great graphics even in 1080p, great and improved gameplay, good story, nice skill tree and everything. This is a game from techland, will improve it better, they've always considered peoples oppinion. Overall is better than the first one.

    Yesss wrey good game top 10 pleyed on series S Initially, the story is not particularly thrilling, however, it takes off in the right way when Aiden ends up in the last city - it is in Villedor that he makes an effort to answer the questions that haunt him. Techland's writers prepared the story quite neatly

    It plays well! Interesting locations and it's just looks good. About gameplay, I can describe it like: "Dynamic, and sometimes hard" So i think that you should buy it, if you haven't do this already

    Always been a fan of the first Dying Light. I love zombie apocalypse games with thick atmosphere and brisk gameplay. The first part was supported by the developers for many years, saturated with events, content, additions.
    The second part was ambiguous: parkour, combats, some side quests, some story quests, lore presentation, level design - turned out well, some elements: the storyline in    Always been a fan of the first Dying Light. I love zombie apocalypse games with thick atmosphere and brisk gameplay. The first part was supported by the developers for many years, saturated with events, content, additions.
    The second part was ambiguous: parkour, combats, some side quests, some story quests, lore presentation, level design - turned out well, some elements: the storyline in general, the depth of characters - turned out to the third.
    In general, I can give the game "4 minus" out of 5.
    Some have complained about the optimization and crashes - so far this has not noticed.
    The game is good, give it a chance.
    Who liked the first part, the second part should like it.
    And those who are not familiar with the first part - will discover the excellent combat, parkour and juicy picture of "green" postapokalisis.

    I'm having a blast playing DL2, great graphics, runs smoothly, im pushing to unlock the drop kick asap. Haters gonna Hate and we will enjoy this game 10 times more.

If you look back at Dl1 special infected each of them have iconic design like toad(spitter),fireman(goon),child(screamer),big Army(Demolisher), big green blister (Bolter). Zombie with opened ribcage(Bomber) . we can easily recognize em by just looking at their silhouette. Im seriously having problem with the slowness of the parkour, its too slow, lack of impact feeling, sometime doesn't grab ledge you looking at. Techland said its to prevent motion sickness is not true, it's very irritating and giving me dizzy even more.… Expand

    Beautiful game. Not only is it fun but it takes all aspects of the first game and upgrades it. The combat, parkour and music all combine together to make a masterpiece. Although the story is a little dull and there are some (minor) glitches in the game Techland has done an excellent job in maintaining the quality of there games. The open world in this game is boring and repetitive. The physics are beyond horrible. There are too many bugs and glitches. The trees look like trash. This game looks and feels like an off-brand Far Cry game.

    The co-op in this game is trash. Too many framerate drops. The greedy developers didn't even bother to make a PvP mode, despite the previous installment having PvP. The developers would rather brag about the game being 500 hours long. It's 500 hours alright, 500 hours of boredom. How about they spend time giving us PvP, instead of 500 hours of meaningless content. I don't recommend this game at all.    … Expand

    The Parkour in this game is outstanding, and the open world/online multiplayer can keep you and or you and your friends entertained for hours. On the downside with it being a new game it has some glitches and bugs, disappearing enemies, etc… also being frequently repetitive you can guess what most things will happen during the story.     I don't have a really good Pc: gtx2060, I7 7700k & 16gbs of ram but i still get 80+ fps on medium settings.. In almost 30h into the game i've had to restart my game maybe twice after an alt+TAB.     This game is really good. I see what they have done in 7 years, and it's amazing. Personally, I love the combat. Parkour is wonderful. The story isn't that good, but it's okay. Also, I didn't meet any bug in my 25 hours in the game.

Techland Games is one of the rare 3rd Party Studios which was transparent with their gameplay and it delivered where other 3rd party developers continue to scam consumers and put developers at crunch. The parkour in this game along with the immunity clock as well the stamina meter makes the game unique compared to other zombie survival game. However there are some flaws, the dialogue expression is kinda bland and simple which doesn't express the story in a good way. In my opinion it could've been better and I hope they improve that in the next Dying Light game or in their DLCs and game support that they promised for the next 5 years. Overall I would definitely suggest you to try this game out as it's a game you would definitely regret not keeping it into your games collection.… Expand

    I wanted so very much to like this game for what it was. But they’ve stripped everything you ever loved from the first one out of the game.
    I heard the CEO and his family were demolishing Techland, though never thought the end product would end up being this unremarkable.

    It’s almost impressive how badly this came together.

    Techland should be embarrassed about what their game looks like on next gen. 1080p60 on PS5???!!!!!??? What is this 2012? Be warned this game is NOT OPTIMISED for next gen. Has a lot of potential to be great but they NEED to make it 4k60. The game looks like a xbox one game from 7 years ago.

Combat, while heavy feeling and satisfying when facing hordes of zombies, is simultaneously very basic, particularly against human enemies. Dodge, attack, dodge, attack, win. You find yourself deliberately getting into dangerous situations just to artificially create the feeling of suspense and adrenaline.

    The story is, again, mediocre. Painfully so, to the point where you zone out of cutscenes and making choices just so you can get back to moment-to-moment gameplay again. But even that gameplay is ruined due to a 'countdown' mechanic, where you need to return to base every few minutes or you'll die.

    It's not all bad. The parkour is as good as ever, and in some ways improved. The environment is great but ruined by all tension being taken out of everything due to a type heat vision through walls and ceilings telling you EXACTLY where every enemy is in every building. Compared to Dying Light 1, this is chalk and cheese, especially at night where the first game had a genuine feel of dread/terror at venturing out at night. DL2, definitively, does not.

    Unless you're a mega fan of this world and absolutely need to play something in it, wait for a heavy sale on this one.    … Expand

    I have only made it to just after getting the binoculars and so far but I am quite impressed with the size and vibrance of the world this time around. The RayTracing and DLSS seem to be well implemented as far as I can tell as it runs great on my 3060Ti at 1440p Ultra RT, DLSS balanced.
    I'm not really playing for the story, so I'm not expecting anything to blow me away on that front.     Performance is extraordinarily bad, walking through different areas basically rolls a diceroll to determine a multiplier for your fps. In a span of about 15min, you can get 60fps in a dense city area, walk indoors to get hit with 30fps, then walk back into that same dense city area to get 15fps. The glitchiness and bugs are worse than Cyberpunk's at launch.

    Everyone in my Discord server playing it at launch was on a cycle of playing in 30 min stretches before needing to restart for various reasons. Some times the menu freezes, sometimes the game just locks up, mission critical AI or prompts just completely break. This is made infinitely more terrible by the complete exclusion of manual saving or even the basic ability to restart from checkpoint. You have to either quit to menu or Windows to access checkpoints, which makes the game's bugginess infinitely more unbearable.

    The graphics are wildly inconsistent on a spectrum that ranges from Far Cry 3 at worst, 4 and 5 for the most part but admittedly giving Far Cry 6 a run for its money every so often. The whiplash from experiencing the last two generations of Far Cry games within a 10 minute stretch of gameplay is on par with what I'd imagine time travel would be like.

    Cyberpunk fell on its face doing actually actually attempting technically mind-blowing graphics, art and storytelling. This game is just nowhere near ambitious enough for me to even make baseline excuses for what a mess it is. The actual game seems like it's a ton of fun, can't wait to play it in 3-6 months.    … Expand

    If you liked the first dying light then you should love this. This has a more RPG feel than the first game. The choices you make do effect the world and environment. Story is solid and graphics are good. loads of places to explore. You could spend hours just looting buildings. A must have for any action RPG fan.

Parkour is lot better than the first game, at first the parkour is a bit slow, but after you level up and get more experience the parkour reaches new heights. The story is good and there's a lot of choices, that you can make. The nights in dl2 are amazing, a lot toDying light 2 feels very fleshed out. There is a lot of content and I see myself playing this from start to finish many times.     1080p to get 60FPS on next gen console is a joke. The graphics basically looks like Nintendo Switch in a docked mode. Playing at 30 FPS does not make any sense with that much parkour in the game. Poor graphics optimization and not the best use of system's resources.

    My expectations were high and the game still exceeded them for me.

    i'm 29 hours in, and loving it. The soundtrack is awesome and the parkour is satisfying.

    Very disappointed they released the game broken. On ps5 you can't play online no co op which sucks as this is a important part of the game.

    Dying Light 2: Stay Human looks more like a DLC to the first game than a whole new one. This does not mean it is a bad game, but it is not one that you should rush to buy. It looks and feels like you are playing the same Dying Light from years ago, and despite the storytelling being solid and entertaining, it is not enough to justify buying it right now.

    Delivering a huge improvement on the first title, but lacking with new features, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is quite fun, brutal, rewarding and a game of exceptional quality when it comes to the open world. Minor issues still exist here, but Techland successfully manages to live up to the hype surrounding the game.
