    Blizzard is a shell of a company. Most of the missing QoL will likely be sold to players in the future. The company is still trying to figure out how the game works and really seems as if the game was released early. The company also seems to value the time played stat of players instead of overall enjoyment. Why else increase the dungeon timer length?     They complete destroyed the franchise with this game. The cinematics and scenery is fitting but that's about it. They give no player choice for playstyle despite what they have claimed over and over again. The builds lean into the same uninteresting required skills to function and you need to use meta guides with theory crafted and play tested builds to even have a chance at a good time.They complete destroyed the franchise with this game. You cannot simply pick it up and play builds you make from within the game. Aspects are a terrible design choice and they are overly oppressive in terms of cost scarity and flat out design. You will need these aspects and put them onto rare pieces of gear to proceed in the game. Many of the good aspects are only random drops you would likely need to pay to extract, pay to place on a item, and then when you replace that item in the next 10 minutes you would need to find another aspect as you cant use the one you extracted more than once. Due to recent patch barb and sorc are unplayable. Necromancer the class pictured everywhere as a summoner is a class that does not work at all because minions are so terrible the ai on them is bad, they dont have colliders to block for you so enemies just walk past them and hit you. The ai is terrible for them. The damage is terrible for them. Necro only survives via bone spear build and that was recently nerfed as well. Blizzard has made it clear they don't care about making a fun game. Diablo 4 is just a battle pass and in game store receptacle to drain blizz simps of their money. They have no interest in making a fun/interesting game for the average person.… Expand

    Blizzard always ruins everything.. the game was ok in the begining but after some patchs.. the game is ruined! What you guys think you are doing? The game isnt cheap and how can you penalize the players with these stupid ideas? TERRIBLE!

    Diablo 4 is an absolute disappointment. I deleted this trash game. In almost every aspect, the game failed to meet even the most basic expectations, leaving me with an overwhelmingly negative experience.

    Horrible Game. The development team learned NOTHING from diablo3. Horrible gear balancing, does not scale with levels. horrible maps, same layout all the time with very little diversity. Horrible character builds, no choice in looks or appearance. Horrible game play, same thing all the time. They made a $70 dollar game with almost zero substance, and once people blew through the small amount of content there was, they made the game significantly more tedious without implementing any quality of life changes.     400+ hours in because I enjoyed this game before 1.10 now I hate this game. Its unfathomable how poorly thought out this patch was. I wish I could give constructive criticism but thinking about this game makes me furious now. Revert the nerfs

    Unbelievable failure by blizzard, outputting a half-baked game in development for many years, horrifying grinds (rep repeats) especially after nerfs (helltides, etc.) all while sporting an incredibly predatory and disgustingly bad battle pass (the worst i've seen in any game). 2x lvl 100 on eternal realm pre season 1, quit after. Might be good in a few years when they copy what they must from PoE.

    Game full of game breaking bugs. They break economy, class balances and every aspect of game. This incompetence of developers is absurd. They probably don't have any Q&A team. There are 3 out of 5 playable characters, gem which bugs all damage from everyone in radius which also throws any damage balance out of window. Also there was bug for infinity gold loop, so economy is dead. And I'mGame full of game breaking bugs. They break economy, class balances and every aspect of game.     Developers have disappointed me. Sorcerer is always my main class and I enjoy trying different builds, but there are very few possible builds that are truly viable. The last update made this class even more difficult to play. I stopped playing until they correct the sorcerer and make the game fun again. And the sorcerer problems are just the tip of the iceberg, I am so saddened at theDevelopers have disappointed me.     I enjoyed the pre season playing the campaign, then diligently levelled my character to 100 getting quite bored in the process doing the same content over and over again.

This is why blizzard tried to slow everyone's progress, because there is nothing fun to do after it is finished.
    Endgame is pretty much empty. You run the same helltides, the same nightmare dungeons and the same whispers over and over again.
    I'll pick it up again in season 3 or 4 to see if they've actually made some endgame content yet, but if you've not bought it yet, don't bother, it's a waste of money and time.    … Expand

    I feel so sad I bought a Ultimate Edition. Diablo 4 is not worthy to play. I give 1 score for main story. My Sor is so weak and diablo4 team nerf my level 80 sor again , that's .... Anyway, don't buy Diablo4, just wait for another 1 or 2 years. Then if you still interested, you can come back and check. Diablo4 is a mess right now. Don't buy diablo 4.

    The worst game I've played on PS5 with
    constant lag and crashed! I couldn't understand the point of making Diablo 4 with the need of server connection. This is not a MMORPG. I can only see the fact that Blizzard wants to earn as much as they could with season content.

    What a complete disappointment. With D4 being released into a timeframe with other massive releases at least we get to experience proper, well designed and finished games this summer. Blizz deserves all the hate they are getting and maybe just maybe they can figure their **** out and produce something with substance which will take years, if at all. The only good thing about the game was the campaign/cinematics but then you go look at the predatory microtransaction page and see what they are charging and how much of a rip off it is and then even the fun feeling of that goes away because a 100 dollar game is still trying to suck every last dollar out of you.

    I regret ever buying this dumpster fire. I am actually getting mad as I type this out that is how pissed I am at myself for giving them money. Worst part of it is that they don't care.     Blizzard apparently released a buggy, unfinished, unpolished product and then starts nerfing indiscriminently without even understanding or listenig to the extremely unhappy playerbase.
    Just look at the extreme discepency between the "bought" critic reviews and the player reviews.

    Game released to early. Key elements of the game not working or as intended. Resistances, mount, spells, aspects, etc. Social connecting is terrible on this, no LFG etc... I have a list of about 50 items i sent in during beta along with bugs that are just being addressed. Sad that blizzard didn't improve on this release. Lesson not learned with diablo 3.

On top of the gameplay issues, it now crashes constantly. Again, no issues initially, but as I progressed, the game started crashing more and more. Now I can't play for five minutes without a crash, and that is with graphicsI was really excited about this game initially.     Tout en commençant déjà à introniser des mécaniques de rétention, ce qui clairement n'augure rien de bon, surtout que certains élements de QoL demander, vont apparaitre en item limité dans le season pass, comme des token pour reset les tableau parangon.

    As a single player game to make the campaign and enjoy the story is a great game, however that is not the main goal of the game and what was designed for.
    I was designed with multiplayer, character building and progressing and dungeon crawling for loot in mind and at that if fails miserably compared with the past blizzard diablo games.

    Last patch completely killed the game. I paid $100 for this game, started out enjoying myself, only to have them pull the rug out from under me a month in. I’ve uninstalled it, and have finally learned my lesson: no more Blizzard slop.

    I can’t believe it was even possible to make such horrible game. These are not the people who made D2. I won’t repeat all arguments why it is bad in all its aspects. I want a refund. Most of the affixes do not present a way that is game changing during lvling process and the resource mgt is not fun until u come up with something like the mother embrace ring.

    There seems to be no testing for class mechanics before release and it persists post-release judging from the gaps between necro, druid and sorc.

    I did not really like the potion system in D3, D4 is worse because the low cap at start is worse than potion cooldown.

    The horse cooldown and shuttering start at release is annoying as hell.

    The only thing done right maybe the starting trailer which has good bgm, the story line is soso.

    The fact that the game designer(s) in chief celebrated this game success is kinda sick joke, completely outta touch.    … Expand

I got to 74 because i was playing with friends. Was gonna try something different for season one but looking at the direction of the game i will just take a break and allow them to either find the right path or just kill their game.    … Expand

By the time I was good enough to join the old Blizzard, Blizzard had sold it's soul to a children's gambling company called 'Activision'. Even if i had gotten my dream job at Blizzard as a dev, as blizzard is now, i would have hidden it on my resume in 2023 because any company seeing 'Blizzard' on my resume would only use it to reject me while actual gamers would hate me for destroying the games i also loved. This company is embarrassing.

    I am so happy that Baldur's Gate 3 came out around the same time as this game to really show how terrible D4 actually is.

    If you accidentally hit 'a' on the seasonal page of this game, it automatically charges your card for the 'battle pass'. Blizzard knows they made a terrible game and need to scam their players with these 'ooopsies, you accidentally bought something' tricks. Don't play this & don't let your kids think that this is blizzard you grew up on.

    Pre S1 game was mid , but the latest update killed my will to ever log in.

    Even double goblins would've been better.

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
