    I'm sorry I just don't understand why new games don't enhance their older versions. Why are we going to slowly over time get a good game? Why doesn't it have ALL the greatness from the previous games? This game is an actual joke. Its clear they are working their way to introducing microtransactions like their famous mobile version.

    Forced to play in online multiplayer at all times in a game where group-play doesn't really feel all that satisfying and I primarily play alone. Add that to all the bad changes and I think I will be abstaining in hopes that this gets sorted out and after a few years becomes half as good as diablo 2 is now.

    The game had potential upon release, however with Season01 around the corner it is painfully apparent that all their balance and tweaking decisions are purely driven to sell battle passes and attempt to create artificial retention at the expense of any enjoyment and fun.
    They do not have your best interests at heart, they are loyal to their shareholders.

The picture quality is excellent, and the PC optimization is not bad. The CGs are captivating. Savage was also pretty much what I expected. But until these **** plots to feed you **** over and over again. You will find that you are not playing D4. Until 1 day ago they released the patch for the first season. I really doubt that these schemes are deliberately trying to make players leave the game? I doubt that these planning teams have played D4 at all. Just pick a few from their email to "cut down". I sincerely advise players who are still maintaining a wait-and-see attitude. Don't buy a pile of **** like this. If you really like the Diablo series. Please wait at least 2-3 seasons before purchasing him. Oh, right. For some reason, they fixed the "camel won't bark" bug. I guess they are supposed to report to the boss "Look, I am also working hard to fix this small bug"… Expand

    Solid game while leveling to about 75 - 80 - Great graphics, sounds and some campagin stories are writen well (like Donan's). the bad starts if you found the desired gear by the 70-80th lvl, than it feels kind of akward continuing to play as it feels you're punished for leveling. Chests for the loot are to small.     It's a totally trap. From beta until now, the player experience becomes worse and worse. In the beginning it was interesting and fun. Then more and more changes come to the game and make the game more and more painful. So don't buy it. Because you will feel the inflation through this game. Your money just worth less and less.

    There are a couple of reasons I’m going to give this game a 0/5 stars. The combat systems is fun but is gutted by the fact that you need a dumb amount of time and resources to change anything so their “play your way slogan” goes more to play optimally or be forced to spend more time and in game resources than you could imagine to build a bad version of a meta build as we don’t have theThere are a couple of reasons I’m going to give this game a 0/5 stars. The combat systems is fun but is gutted by the fact that you need a dumb amount of time and resources to change anything so their “play your way slogan” goes more to play optimally or be forced to spend more time and in game resources than you could imagine to build a bad version of a meta build as we don’t have the storage space or organizational tools to effectively store what you would need for a second build. PvP is fun and rewarding but gutted by the fact there’s no limit on who you can attack based on level difference so you can be one tapped at anytime by bored maxed players for just playing the game. This also means unless your build is meta you are getting one tapped by anyone who spends a fortune in time and resources to min max their gear. hell tides were some of the best endgame content I’ve seen in a game and they promptly merged it into the ground to a state where it’s unplayable. Anytime it was working better for the players than it was supposed to hotfixes were instant. They knows it’s bugged and delivering 60% of the loot it’s supposed to and they tweet but do no hot fix. They needed everyone on the base game into the ground as a shameless move to push people into their seasonal content to feel like they aren’t weak so they can push seasonal buyables. While they said it was for balance everything is weaker than before. They needed leveling into the ground so now casual players aren’t maxing during the season so the sweat lords will definitely run pvp so the only end game content left is nightmare dungeons which they aren’t good enough to make interesting so they just buffed it’s base stats without adding any variety making them a stat check only made difficult by their unilateral nerfs to the player base. If you want to play a game where everything fun is nerfed, you literally are dumb for picking at least 2 out of 5 classes and with the exception of rogues you’re trash unless you go one of few builds, and the dev team balances the game like abusive parents foster love through trauma then still don’t play this game, just get therapy. Even if the game is somehow balanced by a blizzard employee, a wild concept, at best you’ll never get to the endgame or get thier and just be playing inventory management simulator because there is not enough storage in the game to play the game fluidly… Expand

    welp, the game was so fun at first, played it for 20 days straight but if you are an endgame player and have lots of time, you will not like this game. The Itemization and Endgame is incredible boring. Balancing is terrible, there are builds which are just overachieving by 10000% and other builds are so bad you cannot even level with them in world tier 1. So if you want to have fun in thiswelp, the game was so fun at first, played it for 20 days straight but if you are an endgame player and have lots of time, you will not like this game. I think this game is a very good foundation and could potentially become a Godlike ARPG but blizzard once again destroyed all Hope with their latest patches and updates. They simply dont play the game. THey nerfed Sorc so hard even tho the class was broken and has like 2-3 Functioning Builds. Lightning not being viable at all and they nerfed Lightning the hardest, wtf. Even the Sorcs Paragon board has multiple logical fallacies, the game feels unfinished to me. Story is pretty boring, not much interesting stuff happens and its mostly baiting you out of your time. Thats why I will never play the story again. I will now try Season 1 and I will try once again to just go for a random Build I wanna try, if it doesnt work I will just quit the game. I dont wanna be forced to play the Meta Builds just in order to be able to play the game, makes no **** sense. Blizzard hire me and I will fix it for you, no problem.… Expand

    I've played Blizzard games for 20+ years. Blizzard Entertainment is no longer the same company that became famous for "Blizzard polish" on the games they make. Blizzard is simply a name that Activision can put on a product using nostalgic intellectual property to lure you in, get your money, and then fail to deliver on any aspect of the game you thought you were buying.

    Disappointing doesn't sum it up. This game had so much potential that was missed out of because Activision prioritized profiting off of seasonal content as much as possible instead of creating a genuinely fun and engaging experience.

    I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone seeking the same feelings they felt for Diablo 2. It isn't that type of game at all anymore. One day I will learn that just because it's a franchise I grew up loving, released by a company I grew up loving, doesn't mean either of those things are relevant when Activision (Microsoft) is involved.

Why they have so many bugs and glitches that they “can’t fix immediately” is beyond me. Loot hunter with boring loot [and awful management], An MMO with no social aspects [poor guild matchmaking, no group finder], A dungeon crawler that feels more like a game of fetch the stones and put them on the pedestals."

    Graphics are good. Campaign is fine with a couple of excellent cinematics - however the campaign falls off a cliff with the final act and ending. Once you finish the campaign there is very little to do. There is no reason to try for better loot and, even if you get it, there is nothing to do with it. Most importantly, Blizzard continue to nerf the xp gains making the levelling processGraphics are good. If this review was written a week after release I would have given the game a 6 / 7. With all the recent changes I just can not recommend this game - unless Blizzard revert these changes and make massive quality of life improvements… and add an end game and end game loot.… Expand

The campaign and initial leveling experience seems fun, but quality of life and ability for player to be creative at endgame are terrible. Huge issues with inventory, saving builds, changing builds, crafting, tuning, the list goes on.

Been diablo binge playing since 2000 first time ever i stopped playing after 2 weeks. Gane dies once campaign is done. Loot is atrocious lack of build diversity . This doesn't even solve vuln damage, crit damage, or cooldown reduction being required, in fact it made it even more necessary. This game has no direction and the devs can't even implement the fixes they've used in previous games like capping crit damage while boosting theGlobal reaching nerfs have done nothing to promote build diversity and in fact hurt the less viable builds as a whole. This doesn't even solve vuln damage, crit damage, or cooldown reduction being required, in fact it made it even more necessary. Some I agree with, but most of it made me think, WHY? Crit and vulnerable damage were overpowered, but you guys nerf it 50% or more but did not buff the other damage—multipliers in an equal amount.     I was very supportive of Diablo 4, I drove my whole gaming group to jump on it. But now after patch 1.1 they have all uninstalled and refuse to trust blizzard. we are all reminded of Diablo 3    Like many power hungry developers (Ala Wizard of the coast with Dungeons and Dragons, and Gaijin with Warthunder) Blizzard has lost its way in regards to what their customers want, and enjoy.

    I rather go back to play diablo immortals with the new class added and the huge PVP content, not to mention the social interaction and the lot of end-game stuff to do. i haven't logged to D4 since 2 weeks waiting for the S1 to start, i was just stucked as hell with my rogue lv 84 and my druide lv 70 and start to be bored of this game in just one month of playing time. And now afterI rather go back to play diablo immortals with the new class added and the huge PVP content, not to mention the social interaction and the lot of end-game stuff to do. i haven't logged to D4 since 2 weeks waiting for the S1 to start, i was just stucked as hell with my rogue lv 84 and my druide lv 70 and start to be bored of this game in just one month of playing time.     The game WAS great. Patch 1.1 completely ruined the game in more ways than I care to list.
    If the developers listen to player feedback and revert these changes then the game might be worth picking up. For now, don't waste your hard earned money.

Sure there were some problems but it was good enough and some aspects were very good like the campaign and the promise of the Eternal Realm where you could always play the standard game.     I just logged in game.... and boy it's rubbish! To introduce myself, I become a casual player cause of real-life struggle and because of that i don't have 12h a day like it used to to struggle through leveling... My point is when I logged into the game a few minutes ego I got destroyed by mobes! I know that I don't have best gear etc. but really, I must get the best gear to just enjoy theI just logged in game.... and boy it's rubbish! I could also be seeing this all wrong, maybe end game for blizz is how they end the game, except for the most desperate folks who just can't find something else to do or better to play. Again, don't trust a 'we will fix it', they might just do that, in a few seasons. Meanwhile, everyone should move on to other games.

The game is awesome, played the game from beta test i was impressed and the game was looking good, after the release the problems started : to much time waiting just to log in and play the game then the laags started and disconects and many other problems that was making the play time to be worse and worse and then they tried to fix the game and so on and we make it throw the end game, now with the first season on being released they released a patch (patch 1.1.0)before the season start
    time and that was the worst patch i have ever seen and that made me quit the game i could not take it anymore , to much **** in that patch. Therefore this game become from Awesome to worst game play.

But in the end, it will turn on you and betray everything you believe in. You will take to social media to protest, but it will be met with deaf ears. Blizzard doesn't care about you.     **** i can't even play my Druid companion build anymore because every time I use my wolfs primary attack they end up floating above me while I get destroyed. Or my necromancer who wasn't the toughest but could always pull through, now just gets obliterated. Level capping Tier 4? Why not just make Tier 5? Diablo 3 sucked assssss but you could atleast play 16 different torment levels and it made sense.  You guys even made Gems useless...seriously..

They say one thing in their developer talks aka Campfire chats and do another by saying they'll add buffs or things to help the game and do a complete 180 and nerf "make the game artifically harder" or slower instead. Their leading developer Rod Ferguson says extremely inappropriate nonsense that is very unprofessional in these "developer talks" or campfire chats talking about his actual rectum and colon which not a single person asked about. Rod is the lead person for this game. He is a failure of a leader and he needs to be fired... not promoted elsewhere... he needs to be fired. This is the very last blizzard game I am ever buying and I've been buying Blizzard games since Diablo 1 and Starcraft... never again!    … Expand

    First hours felt great, nice gameplay, cool act 1.
    But after some hours you see the downside of the game. The balancing sucks, no endgame, so many missing QoL features. Scaling doesn't work as you assume. So I was disappointed.

    The campaign was good, not very challenging but good, although it has in my opinion several writing flaws. The game visually looks very good and the mechanics of some classes specially the rogue are actually very good, but so far those are the only wins of this game.     The endgame is non existent, after you finish the campaign there's nothing else to do than to grind the same dungeons over and over and over again and the same events until you get to level 100. all the time investment that you put on your main character is worthless as every season requires you to start all over again with a new character (in my opinion this is the most stupid idea ever for a game of this kind), unique items feel worthless and not unique, itemization is awful and the last patch was the last nail in the coffin.

It was also meant to have people sucked into the game to kill themselves with. So if you like your mental health and hygiene don’t get this game totally isn't worth and saving you money.     Everything was OK ish until I went into a cellar and I couldn't kill the elite. And I was with a clan member. Vampiric elite that just replenished its health before we could even drop it below 50 percent. I saved the clip. It's so ridiculous. It's summer anyways. I guess I needed an excuse to not play games for a bit and enjoy the weather. Thanks Blizzard. Microsoft is in good hands

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
