    I've been excited for this game forever, after playing 100+ hours I am very disappointed. "Play your own way" is play the meta or play the worse build. Even without a build guide, I was planning on an earth druid but after finding the pulverize legendaries and trying them I had to change my build because it was just better, no contest. Each class has 4 core skills, and other than the mageI've been excited for this game forever, after playing 100+ hours I am very disappointed. Each class has 4 core skills, and other than the mage classes it feels like those are the only way to do damage. So it's pick your core skill and build around it, all other skills feel like support skills. Running around the world almost every character was playing 1 or 2 builds for each class.
    The game feels like it is trying to slow you down. Grinding levels is very slow, and the only content is helltide and nightmare dungeons. This feels very much like rifts and grinding the open world from D3. I'm wondering if content was removed so that they could use it in season events.
    I've run into crashes and bugs, the amount of stash space is basically only enough for a single class, the horse hardly works. This does not feel like a finished game. I wish they would have extended the beta and allowed us to play longer and up to the max level. The passionate players would have pointed out the many flaws this game had, and they would have been easier to address.
    Overall, the art is amazing. I love the character designs and cosmetics. While the game is working, it feels smooth. The early game is the most challenging part of the game, after it is not challenging and so grindy and repetitive. There is not enough to do, and the most of the skills are not worth building around. This game feels like it was built around the shop. Blizzard is prioritizing micro-transactions, and this unfinished game was just an afterthought.    … Expand

    As an old Diablo fan, I am extremely disappointed about Blizzard. D4 should have huge potential to be an excellent game, but they have ruin it and make it just like another Chinese P2W mobile game

Würde auf Steam für solch ein Spiel nicht mehr als 25€ ausgeben! Grafik ist keinesfalls mieserabel, aber selbst die Standards aus dem letzten Jahrzehnt lassen sich in D4 NICHT finden. Ich glaube da haben sich ein paar Praktikanten zusammengeschlossen, zuviel Jacky Cola intus und nach einem Wochenende steht das Spiel. Ich habe dokumentierte (das meiste auf Videomaterial) Abstürze von MINIMUM 18 Stück am Tag. Unzählige mühsam stundenlang gefarmte Items sind nach den Abstürzen allesamt verschwunden ohne Aussicht auf Wiederkehr. Season 1 hat das ganze entsprechend verschäft. Womit ich wieder bei der Praktikantentheorie wäre. Zum Glück kenne ich keinen Blizzard Mitarbeiter, aufgrund der Erfahrungen verschiedener Spiele dürfte dies aber kein wirklicher Verlust sein.

    - Grafik akzeptabel aber keinesfalls Hochwertig (RTX)
    - Ständige Spielabbrüche und abstürze bei unterschiedlichsten Parametern (andere GraKa, anderer PC, anderer Bildschirm, Systemupdates, Neuinstallation etc.
    - Alptraum Dungeons sind praktisch nicht spielbar. Mein S1 Char ist jetzt auf 78 und ich habe 2 Glyphen auf 5. (Das auch nur nach mehrfachen Abstürzen usw.) Ich brauche die Dinger nichtmal öffnen.
    - Insofern ist das Spiel welches einen absurd hohen Preis von mehr als 100€ aufweist NICHT spielbar. Das ist nichtmal eine BETA. Alpha anfang. Sollte umgehend von den Servern entfernt werden, korrigiert und in einem oder zwei Jahren wieder vollfunktionsfähig auf den Markt zurück kommen. Ich habe Blizzard mehrfach darüber unterrichtet, dass ich bitte mein Geld zurück haben möchte, sämtliches von mir erspieltes Material kan unwiderruflich gelöscht werden. Reaktionen darauf gibt es lediglich: "sie freuen sich auf meine Anwaltsschreiben). Blizzard hat sich bei Immmortal bereits den Jackpot geleistet und setzt mit Diablo IV nochmal einen darauf!
    Bis mal jemand nichtmehr frisch im Schädel ist und dort Amok läuft. Dann ist das geschrei groß.

    Mir ist zum Glück bewusst, dass dies eine strafbare Handlung wäre, weswegen ich nur noch eine allerletzte Schlussfolgerung daraus ziehen kann: Blizzard hat einen jahrzehntelangen Kunden auf ewig verloren. Ich wünsche allen beteiligten einen rechtleitenden Weg.

    Campaign was good, side quest entertaining. Everything was fine until we learn about the pointless loot table, the renown reset, and the preseason 1 patch.

    Very disappointed in this release. Graphics are cool, but the game goes nowhere. It is just the same experience throughout the game. Enemies never get easier as you gain experience. The most challenging part of the game is to mix up your weapons and abilities just to survive.Very very BAD STORY is not good and d4 is always lagged connection is not good and not good s1 is very ****

    A live service train wreck. Shallow and Soulless. Nerfing you’re builds so you have to re farm,
    and killing XP gained to stretch out the content. Just before trying to sell you, the battle pass.
    which is so hollow. It needs you to replay side quests
    and start everything all over again.

    If you have any respect for your own time, don’t touch this hot mess..

    Diablo was always a great game until Activision bought Blizzard and I got greedy. You buy a game for 80 euros and then the developers ask you for money for battlepass and skins. I might even overlook it if the game wasn't so extremely buggy and unfinished. Graphically it's beautiful but technically it's a horror. Blizzard should take a cue from Larian Studios.

    The patch had only one effect making me return to PoE making me regret having abandoned it for these 5 weeks and making me wait even more hype for the presentation of PoE2.
    As for WOW, Diablo 4, personally, is done with me too... they will be able to release all the seasons and DLCs they want but the point is that by now we can no longer trust Blizzard and that band of developers who after this patch have shown that they have never played the game they developed themselves.

I cannot believe at this current juncture that any of the developers who designed and implemented these changes have ever played the game. With this level of poor leadership and incompetence, this game is on a fast track to irrelevance.

    I beat the game and didnt even know i was at end of the game, the whole thing felt like grab 2 items to open a door and a super slog of killing the same **** over and over. I wish i would of just spent my money on POE cosmetics instead of buying this game.

You would also constently get into a CC loop that you would have to wait about 6 to 12 seconds to get out of and most likely die. They decided to make you take twice the amount of damage now and do halph the damage you use to so now you have no chance of killing a group of mobs prior to getting CC'ed to death. This is punishing not enjoyable difficulty. To add insult to injury loot is a joke 99.99% of loot you get is trash and ends up selling to the vendor so there is no real gear progression. I will still play season 1 only because the battle pass with the game purchase, After that I will dedicate all my game time and money on POE which I consider to be a more complex and difficult game than D4 However it is enjoyable, rewarding, and not punishing. If you are thinking of buying this game I will tell you the story is a good story however after that the game is not worth it, I would save your money and wait tell the game is highly discounted to purchase and play the game.… Expand

    Blizzard took everything that ARPGs did in the last decade and more or less ignored every bit of the good details. And started making their own garbage. The latest patch literally nerfed the entire game.

    This game is such a meme, That if anyone finds a broken OP build for any character. Somehow, In some sadistic blizzard style. Barbarians will get nerfed.

    Boring, no real content, multiplayer doesn't really exist (no matchmaking). This game is incomplete.

    Despite Diablo IV having a lot of potential, the recent pre-season 1 patch was extremely disappointing to say the least. For the primary D4 customer base, casual gamers, it was incredibly unwise to 1) make all classes weaker, 2) make all monsters stronger (already getting one shot killed by random NM monsters pre-patch), 3) make it harder to get loot/gear, 4) not fix the most apparentDespite Diablo IV having a lot of potential, the recent pre-season 1 patch was extremely disappointing to say the least. For the primary D4 customer base, casual gamers, it was incredibly unwise to 1) make all classes weaker, 2) make all monsters stronger (already getting one shot killed by random NM monsters pre-patch), 3) make it harder to get loot/gear, 4) not fix the most apparent issues (e.g. resistances, stash space, bugs, etc.), 5) "fixing" the damage bugs (that no one wanted to be fixed) that makes the game fun to play, 6) not providing enough end game content, 7) decreasing the ability to gain experience/levels (not all casual gamers have the time to grind to level 100), and 8) setting the uber unique item drop rate pretty much to 0% (increasing the drop rate will go a long ways in incentivizing players to continue playing). Diablo II was one of my all time favorite games so this recent patch/ the end game content was quite sad to see.… Expand

Well, I'm done for now, until they revert or add things that would make the game fun, not grindy slogs.

    I was so close to being able to enjoy this game, then they rug pulled with 1.1 It's an expensive game that wants you effectively "play" .... errr "work" 40 hours per week just to get anywhere. Then they want you to buy "micro" transactions which are actually horribly expensive.

    Oh.... and you won't find Diablo in this game.

    Unfortunately Blizzard is what Blizzard does and the philosophy apparently again is nerf what is fun and feels good in order to balance instead of buffing and bringing what is bad up to a level were it is good and usable as it ought to be. Games should be FUN, otherwise what is the point? Especially non pvp ones where players should be allowed to feel a bit overpowered after hours and days of leveling, grinding for optimized gear and tweaking builds.

    This all peaked with the latest 1.1 patch before season 1, which made the game almost unplayable in terms of overall feel. Especially having experienced the pre patch version.

    All classes (yes I have them all on high level) now feels very lackluster and just underwhelming.

    More or less none of the Quality of Life changes that has been begged for by the player base for a good while now were implemented.

    Frankly I no longer have much interest in playing this until this is reverted and massively fixed towards the buff side so it feels good and fun again.

    Oh and did I mention they made the entire useless grind of leveling take a LOT longer with this latest patch as well, nerfing all the experience you can gain? The game does not even really begin until you are done with the story and hit level 50. And then there are 50 additional levels to grind up that already took forever. Especially frustrating for alts after you already done it once on your main class for anyone so inclined that wants to experience everything the game has to offer...

    I'm OUT, at least until such a time as the power level of this game is back and surpassing what it was pre-season 1 and not least until Storage space and structure has been thoroughly fixed.    … Expand

All that time and money down the drain, I knew I should’ve listened to my gut on this one, but they got me again. Oh well, on to the next one.

    They pretend to care but don't,

    For gods sake they nerfed minions into ground based on lvl 25 beta feedback and then on live the minions suck ass at end game and they refuse to buff them. etc. their just idiots.

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]

    Diablo is back, and taking no prisoners. The top-quality, lengthy campaign will be enough for some, while the endgame should prove a welcome obsession for others. [Issue#30, p.84]
