    Hello and do not be bored, this game is very beautiful and excellent can entertain users for hours. This is a very low score for this game. Please review the game again. I think it should be 94/89.

    This game will not make you feel like an Avenger. It's combat system is cluttered while the story and characters just feel cheap. It gets even worse with its repetitive missions/AI's and its cynical in-game microtransactions. I tried liking the game, but it was too passionless.

    I’m not super far into the campaign but I love what I’ve played up to this point. This game looks and feels amazing. I cannot wait until more characters are added, hopefully more missions in campaign too. Don’t listen to the negative feedback, check this game out. There is only one drawback and that keeps me from giving it a 10, and that is micro transactions. Now it appears so far thatI’m not super far into the campaign but I love what I’ve played up to this point. This game looks and feels amazing. I cannot wait until more characters are added, hopefully more missions in campaign too. Don’t listen to the negative feedback, check this game out. There is only one drawback and that keeps me from giving it a 10, and that is micro transactions.     Who asked for a Destiny kind of game with the Avengers? I wanted something similar to Spider-man or the Batman Arkham saga, not this Frankenstein of a game conceived in a meeting room full of greedy.executives. Also, technically the frame rate is choppy.

    Great story mode, well written and full of heart. Great actings and beautiful soundtrack.

    Also, co-op missions are entartaining and well constructed.

    One of the best Marvel Games ever made!

    Just wow. You can tell this was made by marvel fans. The graphics are unreal and the story is incredible. Gameplay is perfect for each character. Overall one of the best games I have ever played. Can’t wait for what’s to come

    A loot box game of the avengers lol. Even though it's a game based on popular characters, I don't see it going far. This is going to die fast. I went to twitch to see the popularity of this game and I was not surprised to see it just being the tenth most viewed game, it is boring and repetitive as hell.

    This is Anthem all over again but with the Marvel IP. The screen-shake is unbearable, the camera at times is awful and the combat is akin to a mobile phone button masher. GaaS will be the death of this game because content will be dry within a month with the endgame challenge being "add more enemy health" which is an artificial difficulty

    So, played a little more, and it's still so terribly clunky. and if you put a foot (or hand) wrong you have a longer than reasonable loading screen before you can get back into it. This kills any flow you might have and really it just feels like a poorly polished knockoff of so many other games. The camera and movement is still skittish and laggy. It just doesn't feel great. The environment design is nice, but that's about it. Deleted it in the end. Rare that i don't at least get through a campaign, but i think i was spoiled by Tsushima and The Last of us 2 , which are infinitely more polished.    … Expand

    Im only playing campaign mode now at 30 hrs of play. At first I didn't like it but after 10 hrs of gameplay it gets better slowly but surely. Good graphics(environments are gorgeous) and voice acting is awsome, and the music is awesome, gameplay is ok not great. I really enjoy playing as Hulk & black widow.

    Amazing game. Story was great. would recommend picking it up! Few bugs and glitches which will most likely get fixed in the next patch.

    The game was fun for 10 minutes, then it got very repetitive, the story is short and boring, and overall a cashgrab. clearly there was no love or passion put into it.

    I love love love the game. I like the graphics, the gameplay, fighting is very exciting. I have been playing Black Widow and at first thought her moves were limited but now that I have got her up to level 22, it's a whole another story.

    The story/campaign is more entertaining than I thought it would be. I did not have high hopes for liking Khamala but she definitely grew on me. The    I love love love the game.     -read about glitches that others have experienced. my only glitch so far has been Khamala appearing bald in a cut scene
    -matchmaking in multiplayer was still a bit slow during early release. hopefully that will pick up today 9/4 on release day    … Expand

    This game from the story aspect is AMAZING!
    I love the characters and the voice actors are doing a great job. For the online it can get a bit boring when your alone but with 1 or 2 friends it super fun. For marvel fans this game is for you.

    The gameplay is so boring that the story of the game becoming uninteresting. Much of time is spent on weak enemies without absolutely any challenge and staying in that looping is frustrating.

    It's kinda fun, the VAs are nice, and the suits look cool... but that's about it.

    The story is meager, the graphics aren't impressive, the enemies didn't have any characters (just robots), I can't take MODO seriously,

    The game is horribly buggy (wtf facial animations), the multiplayer is a mess, and I doubt new heroes will make the game any better

    Been having fun for the past couple of days on Marvel Avengers either solo or playing in Co-op with my wife. The gameplay for each character is perfect and make you want to try them all and have different built for various play session. Thanks Crystal dynamics and Square. Can't wait for the upcoming heroes and missons added post launch for free I must add. As a huge fan of this medium, IBeen having fun for the past couple of days on Marvel Avengers either solo or playing in Co-op with my wife. The gameplay for each character is perfect and make you want to try them all and have different built for various play session. Thanks Crystal dynamics and Square. Et j’insiste bien sur les FANS car ceux qui ont regardé les films du MCU vont être déçus les Avengers ne sont PAS au cœur de l’histoire et sont belles et bien des personnages SECONDAIRES mais c’est une merveilleuse façon de raconter le scénario du jeu et d’introduire pour une de ses premières en jeu vidéo Kamala Kahn. L’histoire est digne d’un bon comics ou bien des derniers films de la franchise en somme un BON FILM DE SUPER-HÉROS. La variation de gameplay en fonction des personnages ce ressent vraiment car il est extrêmement different que l’on joue Hulk, Iron Man ou bien Black Widow. En effet la ou Hulk est lent et dispose d’attaques dévastatrices, Black Widow quant à elle est rapide mais fait peu de dégâts de zone on sent que l’on joue un personnage différent à chaque fois et c’est intéressant. Cela nous force a apprendre les combo correspondant aux différents personnages et à s’améliorer à chaque session de jeu. Alors OUI il y a des bugs et le jeu est parfois mal optimisé mais il faut garder en tête qu’il s’agit d’un GAME AS SERVICE et qu’il sera constamment suivi et corrigé (comme ce fut le cas de Destiny qui était loin d’être bon à sa sortie). Toujours est il que Marvel’s Avengers est un bon jeu qui correspond à un public particulier (ceux qui aime Farmer les loots et/où sont fans de comics) et saura je pense trouver son public et former une communauté sur la durée.    … Expand

    A me è piaciuto molto sia per la storia che per l'endgame, però ovviamente dato che io ci gioco su una ps4 slim non posso godere delle massime prestazioni purtroppo. Ve lo consiglio se siete fan degli Avengers anche solo per la storia perché secondo me merita.

The only strength of this game is having popular characters, which will not exist thanks to you, Spider-Man, who is a popular character for Xbox. Of course, gamers The Xbox did not lose much because the game is not worth that much.

    This is an awful cash grab. Full price base game with $10 battle passes for each character , exclusive outfits to random brands and Spider-Man being cut off from 2/3 of players. This wouldn’t be so bad if the game was good unfortunately it’s a bland games as a service game. Don’t buy this game it’s just a cash grab save your money and just rewatch the MCU films you will have a better time.

All locations is cheap copy of each other...Story is so short, im just started and after 3 hours i think it’s almost over.     It's also pretty clear that they don't want you to play this game single player. Once the missions start, it turns in to a co-op game. When playing single player, the computer takes control of the other player and does so poorly. The game might be a little more fun if you play with friends, but the fairly broken combat system will still ruin your experience overall.

    Let's talk about the combat system for a minute. The game tells you to do specific things to use abilities and such. Half the time, you can't get the abilities to work. When they do, they may not trigger when you want them to. To top it off, there's a ridiculous amount of additional animation for most move, which just leaves you completely vulnerable with no way to cancel out. This makes fights much more difficult than they should be.

    On the positive side, the game does look pretty nice on the PS4 Pro. I'd image the PC version would look even better. I only got the PS4 version since I got it for stupid cheap with due to a pricing error on Amazon. Even for the price I paid, I don't think the game was worth it or the time I spent playing it.    … Expand

    What starts as a celebration for the famed heroes soon turns tragic and the game picks up five years late in a world where the Avengers and Heroes are no more. A corporation known as AIM has acquired Stark Industries and maintains their version of law and order through specialized forces as robotic Synths. It is revealed that a reactor powered by a new source was to blame for the A Day disaster and it has created Inhumans as a result.

    Kamala finds herself able to stretch her body and upon learning that things on A Day were not as the world has been set to believe sets off with AIM hot on her heels to unlock the clues and save the Avengers.

    Along the way players will play as several of the iconic characters and will encounter group missions where players may be matched online or assigned A.I. companions.

    Each characters has their own unique skills and timed special abilities which recharge after use and can be a game-changer as enemies become more numerous and difficult.

    Each character also has their own combat moves and abilities ranging from ranged attacks to close quarters combat. While The Hulk can throw objects; he is better suited to get in close and mix things up. Iron Man while capable of delivering punches is better used flying and hovering and blasting everything he encounters.

    Part of the joy of the game aside from the engaging story is learning new ways to defeat enemies including some team based body slams and other enjoyable moves.

    Players are based on a Helicarrier and there are plenty of things to explore and naturally numerous cosmetics, upgrades, and such which players can obtain via looting or at many of the vendors they encounter.

    Missions are assigned via a War Table and players have the option to select campaign specific missions or to mix in some side missions as well. Upon completion of the main game; players will have the opportunity to play more side and extra missions and can use a Quick Match open to play with other players as well.

    There were a few glitches along the way on my PC build but while a bit annoying a first they became less frequent as the game went along. Some people may have issues with the look of the characters as Tony Stark for example looked to me more like a young Ben Affleck than Robert Downey Jr. but with so many interpretations of the characters over the years this is a minor issue as I was enveloped by the gameplay quickly.

    Missions are enjoyable and the timed jump sequences are not unreasonable and players looking for a challenge will be able to adjust the game difficulty to a setting that best suits their style of play.

    I first played the game at an invite only meeting during PAX West 2019 and after getting some gameplay time; the developers outlined to us some of the long-term plans for the game from new characters and cosmetics and so on. The game sets up further adventures well and I found myself enjoying the game and characters from starts to finish. The game does a great job establishing Kamala and building her character while giving players plenty of time as the classic Avengers and has more than a few nice surprises along the way.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. FYI I was playing on a PS4 PRO with a 4K TV. I also have an upgraded Firecuda SSHD.

    If you were a fan of Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Marvel Heroes, this game is fantastic. I think the best way to describe this one, is Marvel Ultimate Alliance meets Destiny. You get much more character customization/depth similar to MUA, but you also get a new 3D world rather than a top down ARPG. Could it be more expansive? Sure.... But lets face it, we're on extremely outdated tech at this point, and this game pushes that hardware to its limits. In its current state, this game should get a 7 but with all the flat out hate for nonsensical reasons, I'm going to boost my score to 8.

    And all you 0 point reviewers out their... These guys put some serious heart and soul into this game and your dumping all over it. Sure it has its rough edges, but a 0? Keep acting like children, and there wont be devs to make "your" games anymore.

    CONS

    Lets first start by separating fixable problems that are only a temporary issue VS the actual game itself. This way in a month when most of the issues are fixed, people can those aspects into consideration.

    Fixable issues that NEED to be fixed:
    -Matchmaking is BAD
    -Super clunky graphics for movement/moving objects at times
    -We've also had some game crashes and frozen screens, as well as menus being stuck etc
    -More characters!!!!!

    Things that wont be fixed/changed
    -Micro transactions - Yes, there are cosmetic micro transactions but you CAN earn the currency in game, albeit slow. I personally could care less as long as its not P2W, and its NOT in this game.
    -Its not much of a single player experience. The story is actually pretty good, surprised people are complaining about it, although it seems most just disagree with the main character choice (This bothers me, because its preference. I like Ms. Marvel quite a bit, so I liked it a lot). But in the end, this game was made for a co op experience. (But this inst anything new if your a Marvel Ultimate Alliance fan)
    -Load times are pretty terrible. Like really terrible.

    PROS

    Honestly I think overall this game is really good, and its going to be an easy 8 or 9 after they fix the bugs IN MY OPINION AS A CO OP GAMER.
    -Although they can have artifacts at times, the graphics are actually very good on my PS4 PRO on a 4k HDR TV.
    -The game actually runs pretty well for being 4k on the outdated PS4. There were some FPS dips for sure though.
    -With the artifacts from movement, its apparent they focused on precise and responsive controls over graphical performance. I don't see that as a bad thing though, as this is nearly a fighting game and you rely on responses to enemy attacks. These will also likely be optimized over time, and go away.
    For the people who enjoy character customization (as in gear, skill trees etc) you'll be happy to know that each character gets extensive skill trees and gear options (with really cool modifiers we're used to).
    -Characters feel completely different from one another, even their basic attacks, So much so, im actually extremely impressed.    … Expand

Occasional bugs are no big deal (I guess I’m not that nitpicky) with a game this size (there is A LOT to do), and nothing that made it unplayable or that can’t be fixed with a patch.     It's a button masher through-and-through. This game gets very repetitive with levels repeating with different skins over them. Same with the characters- per my name I was very excited for one of the characters and he had as much depth and dimension as single piece of paper. I think the game really got more interesting as soon as Cap and Thor were playable. I think there should have been more variety in locations and more interesting boss fights but the game is still better than expected.     Really wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do. Story is cool, combat fun, looks and sounds incredible. But at the end of the day it's a live service game. You're either into these or your not. And you don't have to purchase micrograms actions, atleast I never do.

    Our whole family loves this game. The reviews scared me away but our youngest really wanted it so we took a chance. Glad we did. Looking forward to more from this but this is a really fun game.

    You play through the story of a girl that become inhuman and sets out to make things right.. good vs evil story of coruse, this is a super hero game.. but youll play across this campaign as a variety of characters which is what I love most about marvels avengers.. its cast of charcters stop this game from getting as repetitive as it would have without them… the campaign is very linear feeling like an interactive movie with dashes of collectables for you to find, but again the gameplay isn’t deep enough for me to even care about that, I was focused souley on getting hrough the campaign, and I actually enjoyed my time.. getting to play as different avenger members, all with their own unique feel and play stylethis made fighting these repetive and boring enemies not so repetitive and boring, unlocking new abilities for my avengers, finding different items to equip them with to boost their stats… these things are all great.. sadly though the gameplay agin isn’t deep enough for any of it to really matter outside of leveling up and unlocking new moves.. so it really comes down to this marvels avengers should be viwed more as a single player experience with co optional content… because if you play this strictly for the multiplaer aspect youre going to be disappointed.. that being said.. the campaign wont blow you away either.. not a lot of crazy moments or cool levels, the campaign is definitely lacking on creativifty, but it does switch up the charcters enough to not overstay its welcome, and because of this, it was enjoyable, even the story was enjoyable and that’s coming from someone that hasn’t seen any of the marvel movies… so the ip isn’t all that made me enjoy this game…
    Marvels avengers is far from game of the year, but this is a nice refresh for the marvel universe in the gaming world,

    So far the only true complaints I’ve seen are a mix between hating the fact that Ms Marvel is the center point of the story, but after like 4 missions you’re free to do what yo want. Get over yourself the game is built fantastically! Each character has their own unique skill set.

    This is a must-buy for anyone who likes marvel. It has its technical problems like frame rate dips when the action gets intense but the overall story, combat, and comic book content make it a classic game that would be a worthy addition to any superhero fan's collection.

    Incredible♥️. Better than Marvel's Spiderman 2018. On PS4 Pro there is even a performance mode that, when motion blur is deactivated, runs much smoother than those 30fps. Well done Square Enix!

    A lot better game than the scores show, atleast in November 2020. The combat is a lot of fun, mechanics are deep enough, gripping story and amazing graphics. Sure the live service wanna be destiny is a bit odd, but the game is a lot of fun. Got it on sale for 29.99, 100% worth it

    Best 2020 game for me out there! Amazing! Entertaining and very capturing gameplay, with many ways to kill an enemy, dozens of special moves and very complex combat system, great graphics and interesting storyline!

    The game loop is basically find your new level clean it up, do some sidestuff (which is basically all the same: either unlocking a door for loot or finding loot). The levels are too bland especially the ones now in a city. Again, the visuals are impressive but the gameplay felt so boring to me. Also one thing I realized is that I didnt feel like skilling into anything because the skill descriptions were unintuitive. So I pushed my specials most of the time. I felt like missing out on stuff but it felt really complicated.

    The other thing is that the missions are quite repetitive and for the story missions you have to swap between characters (you are forced to) which is kind of nice because you play them all at times but the item and level system feel so enraging because every new character will be level 1 and naked. So you level them again, the enemies scale to you so it is okay but you loot yourself through crap over and over and over. And there are like.. more then a handful characters. The campaign length with the latest Future Imperfect DLC feature around 20hrs of playtime if you dont rush through and so some side stuff (not 100%ing everything).

    My verdict is very undecisive. I had fun with this game. I love the sound and the visuals. But the game loop and the skill system feel horrible to me. I liked the characters a lot but levling and looting them all over again sucked. I bought it for around 20 bucks which seems a fair price, even 30 might be okay. I m no hardcore fan so it was okay for me but I feel some really die-hard fans will be very disappointed. I think they missed a huge opportunity with this game but it is still by all means not bad.    … Expand

    This is not a good game. Very poor level design that makes repeating missions very boring. Loot system shallow, you dont even see changes on your character when equipping different loot? Discusting microtransactions praying on young kids who are addicted to marvel. Story was ok that's why I gave a 3. Although characters are very bland wile talking. Just not a good game.

    While the game has flaws they are quickly being patched out. The release was a bit buggy but this game has an amazing foundation, when all the kinks are ironed out this will go down as a triumph of superhero media

Lots of forced running bits and QTEs like tomb raider, but also the beat em up/hack and slash from devil may cry, the graphics on the Xbox Series X are absolutely amazing! Top tier quality! The story is good and it's nice seeing some of the landscapes from the films like tony's house from iron man 3. TheI don't mind it at all, feels like a cross between tomb raider and devil may cry.     Do not touch with a 100-foot pole. People have been losing their files and the game spent months with huge issues. This game has too many issues, even after all of the fixes, some of the same issues persist

    It could’ve been a great single player title. The publisher chose to go down the game as a service path though, and those who prefer to play solo need to tackle run-of-the-mill co-op missions. The multiplayer on the other hand is messy, chaotic and in the long run boring. When the developers manage to fix the most pressing bugs and find a way to bring more variety to co-op, this might become a solid game. Right now, I can only recommend it to the biggest fans of the Avengers. [11/2020, p.26]

    This is the perfect example of "Games as a Service" done right. Marvel's Avengers offers up a superb campaign story to play through that is promised to be expanded on in the future. The gameplay may be repetitive, but it includes just enough to keep players interested and invested in the endgame content that is available now to keep this game going until the next step in its roadmap. The possibilities and potential in the future here are hugely exciting.

    There have been plenty of moments during my time with Marvel's Avengers where I’ve genuinely had a great time. But this game keeps finding ways to drag itself down- at times it almost feels like it goes out of its way to do so. There’s just so much here that I can’t overlook, no matter how hard I may try. An unnecessary and broken loot system, a litany of horrible technical issues, uninspired and one-note mission design, and a story that fails just as much as it succeeds- it doesn’t matter how mindlessly fun the combat is, it isn't enough to overcome such a heavy list of problems.
