    Lo malo: A pesar de ser una buena , es muy corta y la variedad de enemigos clasicos es muy poca.

    MULTIJUGADOR: Bueno aquí vienen los peros del juego, el multijugador a pesar de ser divertido al jugar con amigos y ganar recompensas, es muy repetitivo, las misiones siempre son lo mismo por lo que con el tiempo te aburrirás, ademas, que carece de propósito, te sientes vació al terminar una misión, eso a pesar de ganar trajes muy bonitos. Se supone que a futuro habrán eventos.

    JUGABILIDAD: Algunos diran que es un machaca-botones, pero no, porque junto con los esquivos y las diferentes formas de contraatacar con cada personaje, existe el arbol de habilidades, que no solo mejor el daño o cosas asi, sino, que agrega una gran variedad de combos. Sin embargo no es perfecto pues, no es un combate fluido, puedes estar peleando y al esquivar o hacer un combo que no combine con otro y te quedas ahi parado frenando la fluidez del combate, algo que se pudo haber hecho al estilo de los ARKHAM.

    BUGS: Demasiados bugs y errores con las texturas, en pocas ocaciones tendras que volver al punto de control para desbuguearte.

    TRAJES Y DISEÑOS: Los diseños y trajes originales de la historia estan muy bien logrados, mejorandolos de las primeras version, pero los trajes que se ganan en misiones o en la tienda son muy simples en su mayoria, pues no varian mas que en el color en la mayoria y para que hablariamos de los precios excesivos

    GRAFICOS: Graficos mas que aceptables, incluso con algunas pocas mejoras desde la demo del 2019, sin embargo, se pueden ver una gran variedad de errores de carga de texturas.

    CONCLUSIÓN: Marvel Avengers es un buen juego con una campaña y gráficos casi perfectos pero que su multijugador carecería de variedad, teniendo un sistema de combate simple pero efectivo aunque no muy fluido. Este es un gran juego pero no es perfecto, le falta mucho para eso.    … Expand

    OMG....this game is sooooo horrible. the story is probably written by a child and that annoying nobody kamala khan is seriously obnoxious.
    the gameplay is super repetitive and boring af. the level designs are utter trash. thanks square enix for making this **** so bad...that i will never digitally preorder a game ever again.

    Probé la beta de este juego y me encantó, quizás tiene cosas repetitivas o la historia es corta pero si se juega en coop con amigos se hace mas divertido además de las próximas actualizaciones, estoy consiente sobre los bugs pero todos sabemos que a medida del tiempo se arreglan esperemos

    Marvel's Avengers is a good game.
    The story was fresh and nothing you knew from the cinema. Admittedly the endgame is a bit weak on the chest, but if the constant content updates are well implemented, and not only throw a new hero into the round, the endgame will surely be better.
    I'm looking forward to seeing more heroes and will put more and more hours into the game. The only thing I    Marvel's Avengers is a good game.

    I almost didnt get it because of the negative comments but someone went ahead and bought it for me and thank God they did . I almost missed out. It's a fantastic game I have it on ps4 so I didnt experience the massive bugs folk speak of I reckon the PC folk suffer more of the bugs.     Fantastic combat! Each hero plays uniquely different and when they're fully upgraded feel truly heroic. Good story with all-star voice acting. The story mode is a bit short but sets up the multiplayer loot grind which is the real focus. Endgame grind/loot is a bit lackluster at launch and the game is severely lacking content but with time that shouldn't be an issue.

    Not as great as Marvel's Spider-Man, but it's a decent game, combat is really enjoyable, character models are better than i expected, campaign is fun but a little meh, hopefully the new DLC improves that, after testing Kate Bishop i can't wait for the upcoming characters.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's a game that do have its fault due to its live service model. But it is unique, giving us a great origin story for Kamala Khan AKA Ms. Marvel and having some of the voice actors from the animated show Avengers (which was in the same universe as the Drake Bell's Ultimate Spider-Man and later Marvel's Spider-Man 2017. Kate Bishop's arrival into the fray has only made the game even better since we now have a archer on the roster after the previous one was missing on A-Day (but later found and is now in a coma and most likely the next DLC charcter) and the game can only get better. Luckily the combat is fresh and awesome and every hero feels unique and has unique abilities. Hulk is tank and has a rage meter where he is invulnerable for a period of time, Captain America has his shield and there is may ways to kill enemies with it and his special move where he would throw his shield when your fighting an enemy. Black Widow can turn invisible has different modes for her guns and can extend her escrima sticks into a Tim Drake-like Bo Staff. Kamala can enlarge and heal people. Iron Man can do a hyper beam, shield himself and get the famous hulkbuster suit. Thor is by far the most exciting with his hammer and lightning and depending what you use for the Bifrost special ability, you can either have the fire realm fire surrounding the Bifrost landing site or Jotunheim's frost or even Alfheim Light where your charcter and teammates can heal without orbs. Kate has teleportation and uses both her sword and bow and arrows. To say the least the charcters are unique as hell and if you aren't a fan of the story because of (iT's ToO SjW-ish despite comics like Marvel and DC having political left leaning topics since the 60's with the X-Men and Gaurdians of The Galaxy and Luke Cage and Black Panther etc) political reasons than the multiplayer elements which you can play offline will appeal to you since you will be treated with fighting enemies in various different missions and leveling up since it's basically a MMO inspired RPG.… Expand

She learns to believe in herself through the power of friendship and all that BS. It's okay though, because the writers throw in some Hulk and Iron Man levels. And they even eventually remember the other Avengers by the third act, also.

    Every Avenger feels exactly the same to play. It reminded me of a fighting game where there are about three moves that are unique to each character and the rest is just light and heavy attacks. Granted, it's cool to fly around as Iron Man-but they throw so many enemies at you that even that gets tiring.

    And the enemies are so irritating! First off-they are incredibly repetitive. You'll fight waves and waves of these robots while trying to defend a certain point or destroy a larger robot. And you'll do this in about three different rooms repeated with minor variations. Every time I heard the world "AIM base" I sighed with frustration.

    It also felt like I was doing a miniscule amount of damage, for some reason. Even as I leveled up and equipped better gear, even considering that the Avengers are basically god-like, I was still just slowly chipping away at the smallest enemies. It makes no sense that the Hulk's giant fists would need so many hits to actually smash anything.

    The DLC doesn't improve it much, either. the Hawkeye DLCs are just more AIM bots, but with a bow this time (which still barely scratches anything). And the Black Panther DLC just adds a crazy amount of difficulty, with multiple defense missions that are incredibly tedious and a new effect that blurs your screen so you can't see anything.

    I only really gave this a shot because I really liked the Guardians of the Galaxy game, but this one is nowhere near that standard.    … Expand

    Whoa. This is one of Square Enix's best games, in fact, it's probably their BEST GAME of all time, and of 2020. I LOVE playing through the gameplay and looking at the beautiful character designs. Truly one of the best Avengers products ever, Laura Bailey did an AMAZING job developing this game and writing the story and planning out the gameplay. Buy this, not that Lego Marvel trash! (Can'tWhoa. This is one of Square Enix's best games, in fact, it's probably their BEST GAME of all time, and of 2020. I LOVE playing through the gameplay and looking at the beautiful character designs. But the story is great because it’s not following anything from the movies or the comics it’s a new story and I love it, the story kind of reminds me of Captain America Civil War because of much the Avengers hate each other. I love the voice actors as well because they all mostly fit there characters in particular Troy Baker as Bruce Banner, it’s cool to see him in a role like this being more quiet then anyone he would normally play. Sandra Saad as Kamala Khan was one of the best part of this movie because she is a kid trying to deal with these powers and it’s amazing. But Nolan North is the perfect person to play Iron Man I mean he’s Nathan Drake, Deadpool, and so many other funny characters. I also like Lara Bailey as Black Widow who was Nadine Ross in Uncharted 4. Overall I love this game so much man, great story, graphics, great voice acting. Ranking Masterpiece.… Expand

    It's perfect game for me I have this game on my PS4. And I am really glad that this game is PlayStation exclusive. I love this game this autamun spiderman comes to the marvel's avengers. And few days ago square enix released new game marvel's gaurdians of the t on these plantforms and and that's great. I like gaurdians of the galaxy.

    I understand the hate and I hated this game for 600 hours. Its really well-made for what it is. The bugs haven’t been game-breaking for me, but rather funny. It’s so much fun with friends and I want them to make another game like this but better. Stop the hate on this game. Thanks.

Gameplay is amazing, combat works perfectly with the genre, one thing that can be critized is the lack of endgame content... If you try to make an online game that has a long story, you are going to need more time and effort to make it. It doesn't make it short of a ride and amazing. Buy the deluxe edition 4 times and you'll get 4 receipts in your email. It's amazing, getting not one, not two, and not three receipts but 4 RECEIPTS from Playstation?! This gameWow, just finished the game.. This is honestly the greatest game I've come to know. The fighting is great, the story sucks, and the multiplayer has its problems. It doesn't make it short of a ride and amazing. Buy the deluxe edition 4 times and you'll get 4 receipts in your email.     When the game is set free in September, I imagine playability improves.

    The single player story is decent enough. Typical superhero fare, better than amateur fanfiction, passable as a story in its own right. Had the rest of the game been this way, it probably would have been much better. Instead, this game is like Jekyll and Hyde (or Banner and Hulk): Two disparate experiences that only have strands of similarities.

    Once you get through the relatively short campaign, you hit the live service grind and, well, that's where all the Anthem comparisons begin. Sluggish, buggy combat. Boring, generic locales. Uninspired gameplay loop and reward designs. Braindead, predictable AI, both enemy and ally. Buggy textures and models. Broken matchmaking and multiplayer. Framerate drops. Shoddy camera. SYSTEM CRASHES.

    The game tries too hard to be a live service game, throwing everything and the kitchen sink at you -- but they forgot to include rewarding gameplay. All of these games are repetitive by their very nature but the best live service and looter style games find ways to make these loops enjoyable and something you WANT to come back to. With Avengers (much like Anthem), the combat and loot loops are so mundane, so boring, and so buggy that you'll become numb to them within a matter of hours. Not days or weeks or months -- hours. And that's where the real disappointment begins to set in.

    I can't help but wonder how much better this could have been if Crystal Dynamics had been allowed to make this game in the same style as their Tomb Raider series instead of having to push the "live service" model. Just as I often wonder what could have been with Anthem had BioWare been able to just make it a standard BioWare RPG rather than EA's attempt at a Destiny clone. And that's the final, possibly most damning, comparison: Avengers is CD's 'Anthem' in that their publisher wanted a game to try and suck up those live service dollars going to Destiny and Division and others, so the publisher pushed their dev studio into a game genre they have little to no experience in. The end result shows. This is no longer 2014 and 2015 when we were at the start of a new console generation, looter shooters were still new (-ish, Borderlands notwithstanding) and people were willing to give games like Destiny and Division time to right their wrongs and mature. No one waited for Anthem to mature, and no one is going to wait for Avengers to mature -- especially not with the new generation of consoles right around the corner and new experiences to be had.

    I give the game a 4 solely for the story mode. It's not worth anything higher than that. If you want to play the story, give it a month and it'll be on sale. Give it two to three months and, like Anthem, it'll be bargain bin.    … Expand

    Expectations exceeded. Great story, 10-ish hour campaign, multiplayer is a blast. There's polish that needs to be addressed but the dev team is competent and communicative. Looking forward to checking in on this one every month to see the further developments with the story and trying new heroes.

Having finished the single-player campaign, I can say with confidence that this game is a mess.

    The good: the characters play and feel like they ought to. There is no PVP mode forcing character balance, and that's a good thing. It also avoids the pitfall of using heroes' powers as add-ons, instead of making them the base gameplay. Sadly, that's the end of the good points.

    The bad: the story is based on the flimsiest of premises. It also relies heavily on Ms. Marvel, a character I didn't care for before, but after playing this game, have grown to really despise. Her power set is derivative and her backstory appears to be some Marvel writer/editor's self-insert dream. The supervillains, regular enemies, and stage backdrops are extremely limited, 3-5 of each. The loot system is not compelling in any way. It uses the standard white-green-blue-purple-orange color system to denote rarity, but none of that seems to make much difference. There are no cool cantrips or bonuses, and no buffs on the loot seem to do anything. The multiplayer matchmaking is awful, and for a game that is built around playing with other people to accomplish objectives, that alone is killer. The load times are also some of the worst in recent memory, rivaling Horizon: Zero Dawn for most time spent not playing.

    The ugly: So, so many bugs. Others have said this game should have stayed in development for another 1-2 months. That's being nice. They should have taken at least six months to polish this up. So many graphical bugs, disappearing loot, rolled back microtransactions, game-breaking gameplay bugs...you name it, Avengers has a bug for it. For a game to have had such a big beta test, it is astounding that it was allowed to release. It's bad enough that going forward, I would never pre-order a SquareEnix/Crystal Dynamics game. Yes, it's bad enough to be that drastic.

    Further ugliness: microtransactions. I might get some hate for this, but I'm ok with microtransactions as long as they are done right. I have 1200+ hours sunk in Marvel Heroes and spent heavily on that game. Even more so for games like Marvel Future Fight. But even I couldn't justify spending real money on what Avengers has on offer. $14 for a single skin, and of course you can't just buy $14 in currency, you have to buy $20. The skins are unimpressive for the most part. There's also a lot of 'garbage' items for sale like emotes (have yet to see one used) and nameplates for your online profile. There are skins and the like available for 'free', as long as you grind through a character's "character card". Unfortunately, many bugs revolve around undoing card progress, so good luck with that.

    Overall, the game has some appeal for big Marvel fans like myself, but the many limitations, missteps, and severe lack of polish cast an inescapable pall over the proceedings. There are is a lot of potential here, and future updates could pave the way to a really enjoyable Marvel experience. I just can't recommend it in its current state. As this game is supposed to be a 'games as a service' platform, maybe they should have just released it for free. Regardless, wait for a severe price drop if you are curious, or at least wait until you see that patches have addressed the bulk of the dozens upon dozens of bugs.    … Expand

    Take one part Ultimate Alliance and add one part extract of Destiny, then stir vigorously. Bake until only half-done, then cover with a thick layer of F2P jank and pointless microtransactions. Serve with a fat blunt garnish, and try to imagine that you're playing a worthy successor to old-school superhero brawlers.

    Combat is good, there's this brawler combo-style combat, like dodge, then light attack to counterattack, and there's defensive mechanics. What they could improve on is the amount of skills, currently there's just 3 abilities per hero, that you can augment through the skill-system. And then after level 15 there's even more specialization. In which you choose 1 out of 3 augments to a skill or ability.

    Story is alright, it does introduce you to the characters one-by-one, and force you into playing as one specific character for the story. Once you unlock the wartable, there's some missions, side missions, that you can pick whichevery hero you want. Else there's a choice between 2-3.

    If you think this game is "easy", then you should play on "Brutal" difficulty for the story. And Challenge V for the multiplayer/side missions. I've yet to see anyone BREEZE through on those difficulties on Twitch or YouTube. If you have, please link me to where you have seen, or if you have recorded such gameplay. I'm interested to see if there's any hold to the arguments that this game is easy.

    What this game get's minus for, from me, is the exclusivity stuff, consoles are prioritized clearly. Some movement things, like it doesn't move according to camera, but according to the character, which is a console issue thing when porting this to PC. And PC version doesn't have a chat, and default it's OPEN mike. But the MTX with costumes and battle pass are all fine. You get all characters and content that's coming with this title. So it's the store who will hold this up only with cosmetics. They get a huge plus for that.

    Some missions seems to have the art and assets reused. But this is a solid title for what game is perfect on launch these days? It'll be better over time, right? Let's hope!    … Expand

They recycle levels, the gameplay is very repetitive, and combat is pretty lackluster. What I dislike most is the gear system; it's very confusing and it seems totally pointless. Bottom line, they should have focused more on diversifying the gameplay and less4 hours into the campaign, and I'm already playing a "new mission" set on a map that I've already played previously in the campaign. Took me about 4-6 hrs to complete it this way and I had fun. Certainly not as terrible as some of the reviews here make out, but it is a disappointing title when you sit it next to the finest of the generation (ie spider man and batman!). Might be worth waiting for it to hit the bargain bins tho!    … Expand

    It's an ok outing featuring some of Marvel's most beloved characters. Enjoyed what was there, but throughout my time with the game, it felt like it could have been so much more at launch. I will say, however, that the characters are unique enough to differentiate from one another but despite this, combat and missions eventually feel repetitive.

    Entertaining story-driven game that reimagines the Marvel universe in interesting ways. Gameplay can be repetitive but it is beautiful and I really enjoy playing as the different heroes. I bought it on deep discount during the holidays and it has been worth every bit of the money and time I have invested.

    Cons: The game has several performance issues and bugs. There is currently no option to reset talent points, lack of variety of enemies.

    Pros: You choose your gameplay the way you want. Ex: You can be ranger Iron Man or melee or mixed. All heroes have unique abilities which will make you choose your main hero to focus on the final content. Kamala Khan is the strength of the campaign mode.

    Gameplay/Missions: 5/10
    The gameplay loop is fun for the first hour or so, it quickly becomes boring and repetitive. There isn't really any strategy involved in the combat. You mash square, triangle, and your long range attack while dodging sometimes to win fights. While every character looks different, they all basically play the same, besides Iron Man who has the most "unique" kit. This makes it easier to pick up the new characters as they join the team, but it makes the non-ability combat super bland.
    The hero abilities are the only real thing that set the heroes apart. Every hero has 3 abilities that range in usefulness. Most of the abilities just boost your damage for a short time or lets you dish out a huge amount of damage in one flashy attack. The most varied in these abilities is probably Black widow, who can stun a cluster of enemies, turn invisible, and then get an electric staff for her ultimate. Every other hero basically just has a damage boost, a one-shot move, and an ultimate which does one of the previously listed. There are some exceptions, but that's basically it.

    The missions in this game are as repetitive as the combat. Most of the time, you go to some big factory or some other kind of high tech AIM building and take down waves of the same bland robots you've been seeing since the first couple campaign missions. Speaking of, the campaign missions were mostly pretty boring. There were 4 really notable missions that I really liked; the opening A day mission, the Stark house mission, the mission where Thor appears, the Tony in Space mission, and the final mission. Those were all pretty damn fun and made me not regret the purchase. However, all of the other missions were decently bland, which is not good considering how all of the post-campaign missions are laid out almost exactly like them. I don't see a point to continue playing the game because of this. Besides to level up your heroes, there is no point. I will continue to play all of the hero updates, but for now I think I'm done with the game.

    Graphics: 4/10
    On my base PS4, this looks like a late PS3 game most of the time. During combat, the screen is completely blurry and fuzzy. It's sometimes hard to tell whats going on thanks to the millions of projectiles being shot at you from all directions at 20 FPS, and that's another problem. There are CONSTANT frame drops, even during cut scenes. I have never seen a game released in the past 2 years look and perform this bad. Textures also pop in and out randomly. In almost every cutscene, there is a very obvious texture that is not loaded in. I even had a glitch where Captain America's face flapped all over the place when talking, making a serious moment of the game make me laugh at how weird Cap looked. When the very rare moments come when this game does run well, it looks okay. Nothing super impressive, but passable for this late in a console generation. I have seen some PC clips and the game looks amazing most of the time. (I would have gotten it on PC if it weren't for Spider-Man...)

    Other Notes and Nit Picks:

    1. The micro transactions in this game seem useless. They're there only to get impatient people to buy skins they can unlock by playing.
    The cosmetics in this game are not the greatest. I only really like the pre-order skins and the final mission skins that make everyone look badass. I do not have any incentive to finish each heroes "battle pass", the skins just aren't that appealing to me.
    The nameplates and emotes seem very out of place. You see the nameplates only in the menus and the lobby, yet they're things they want you to be motivated to get? There's really no reason for emotes to be in the game other than to have more useless stuff to jam into the battle passes.

    2. The voice acting can be a little weird sometimes. They're the same big actors from every triple a game, but it seems like the voices don't fit the characters. Kamala, Tony, and Bruce have passable VA, but the other characters just sat weird with me. Same with the character designs, they just look like knock offs of the MCU actors.

    Overall, this game is a disappointment. I expected more from Square Enix. This game really isn't anything special, I would suggest only getting this game when its on sale.    … Expand

Frankly, I believe I have looter fatigue from Destiny 1 and can't play Avengers for long periods because of it.

    Campaign was ok, just ok... it wasn't mind blowing, but it was serviceable to the Avengers, I did enjoy all the banter that Kamala had with everybody. Her voice actor is PERFECT for her character, unfortunately it seems there is no way to replay the story.

    The post-game grind is not bad. BUT and a huge BUT, is that matchmaking for whatever activity you want to play is either broken or just doesn't work. I have yet to be able to get into a squad of 4, and at most was able to get a squad of 3 together once.

    The social hubs were pretty hidden, and not easy to find at first, they should be available to the campaign playlist too.

    Lastly, there are quite a bit of bugs, considering most of the pre-alpha was done from home, this does not take away from the score, but other decisions are baffling and not okay.

    Buying this now is effectively entering into a early access build.    … Expand

    After 2 months this game is a massive failure. Nowhere near all the hype and EVERYTHING CD and SE promised will not be available any time soon. Copy and paste content. Repetitive mission type. Broken matchmaking, corrupted save games with real money credits not being addressed by the devs. Generic and overpriced skins. No roadmap nor new content coming soon.

Although the game is an Avengers game at heart, the focal point of the story is centered around Kamala Khan and focuses on introducing this semi-new character (created in the early 2010s when Carol got her Captain Marvel revamp). To its credit, the story - while being your standard Marvel comics fare - has got some heart to it, and manages to do the unthinkable: it makes MODOK into something more than a hammy supervillain whose pinnacle of achievement was an appearance on the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster. However, the enemy designs run on the derivative side, and by the end of the game, you might be noticing if you played Ultimate Alliance 3 that the AIM trooper designs don't actually vary too immensely from those in MUA3, and the mechanical enemies such as Adaptoids feel very familiar to those who are used to seeing the designs of Marvel robots. Indeed, the artistic design never strays too far from familiar territory (with the excepion of each character's endgame Stark Suits, which are excellently-designed), and vibrant and memorable character, enemy and NPC designs are more the exception than the norm.

    With that out of the way, the gameplay loop runs the gamut from predictable to amazing depending on situational context. In my experience, the open air 'Warzones' are where the game's best qualities lie, especially in multiplayer, and outside of some overzealous enemy respawning, represent the game's most enjoyable, stress-free experience. Side note: enemy scaling can be a bit strict, and there's obviously an aspect of power fantasy to playing a superhero, so if you ever feel like letting loose and enjoying yourself, absolutely don't be afraid of dropping the difficulty to Challenge I (although I recommend not changing the Campaign Difficulty to Easy unless you're truly struggling, as Easy difficulty goes all the way to making every attack blockable, which while a true boon for struggling players, can come back to punish players who will eventually want to jump up in difficulty and may end up being unfamiliar with which enemy moves to block/parry and which to dodge). There will be people who will want to play 'for the challenge', but the actual mechanical playstyle is in no way altered between difficulties; namely, the changes are in damage and power level. Higher difficulties do net better gear, but not so much that lower difficulties are punishing. So I would recommend playing around with all mission difficulties until you figure out which suits you best.

    Now, the gear system: here's where one fault lies, but none so damnable that it can't be understood, as it's generally the same fault with every looter shooter and Diablo-like, even Diablo II itself. In general, your best bet is to auto-optimize your gear for the highest stats and scrap or bank the rest in storage. It can be a bit tedious in that way if you aren't used to looter shooters, but the smaller loot drop rate and inventory carry rate helps with that: generally speaking, gear is always scaling upward, and you can go quite a few missions without filling up a section of your inventory unless you're specifically hunting for gear. That said, the game *really* needs an auto-dismantle shortcut.

    There is some weakness in the HARM Rooms and especially in the smaller Threat Zones, but the weakness is less low-quality gameplay, and more repetitive gameplay. And there is at least one main story mission with a boss that utilizes that infamous bad design choice of dropping waves of enemies to inflate difficulty, but the game does that far, FAR less than Ultimate Alliance 3 did, and I can actually only think of that one boss fight when it comes to it being done to the point of tediousness.

    Best of all, while the prologue portions of the campaign are required, everything else is totally optional: if you only want to play for the campaign, you can. If you want to skip ahead to the postgame multiplayer-focused content, you can (but will admittedly start at a disadvantage). So, is it worth it? While I don't feel 100% confident in saying so, I at least feel more confident in saying than the gamut of reviews that claim 'worst game ever' or spend their time finding fault in the Metacritic aggregate system that many of us have already acknowledged. And I can say that if you're even a casual Marvel fan with a dedicated group of friends for multiplayer, 100% yes. As for everyone else, the game could at least warrant a rental to play through the campaign or a view through the campaign on a Twitch stream, but this isn't a knock on the game's quality. It utilizes some Uncharted-style scripted action segments, but the perjorative 'walking sim' does not apply here.    … Expand

My fear for the story has also come true: Mary sue character which is the red-line of the story, anti male, childish and just very amateurishly told (typical Disnely lately).. This is not a passion project, this is a short deadline rushed game for the young masses. Stay away.

There are some cool bits as you run into each of the Avengers, reassemble the team and get to explore each playable character's arsenal, but the missions are just so boring that I didn't feel like getting through the rest of the content.

    Its disappointing how uninspired everything is, from the tired, repetitious level design to the drab environments, nameless enemies and the unnecessary loot structure. Although each character has a fairly unique moveset, the combat doesn't have a good feel to it and the fights lack impact. The game also runs very poorly on the PS4.

    Overall this is a very middling package and one that falls way short of the mark given the source material. Marvel's Avengers is a live service but I don't believe it offers enough compelling gameplay to warrant sticking with it.    … Expand

    I'd say a 7 in it current state, I have 3 heroes to 50 and 2 Over 120 gear score. It is "Destiny" Avengers you grind gear run the same missions over and over to get better gear. If that is a good thing or bad thing that is up to you. It definitely needs more villains and variety , but so did Destiny at the beginning, with more content this game could be much better.     My expectacions were very low and still I am disapointed.
    Story is OK, but sometimes it's not that good. Side missions are boring. Leveling your characters is not interesting and getting new equipment from loot or merchants is not displayed.     When you die in jumping sequence, you need to wait a long time to get back to playing. Better looking games get this faster. I have PS4 Pro and there is a lot of framerates drops and when playing the game, it looks like I have my own quinjet in my livingroom.

They have a plethora of great villains to choose from in the Marvel universe, but choose literally only three mediocre villains and a bunch of AIM robots.     (only played solo campaign) This could have been one of the best superhero video games ever created. The story is amazing (but really good). Voice acting is great (Hulk and Tony's voice actors do an incredible job).The gameplay is fun, playing with each Avenger is very special (some better than others, my favs being: Captain America, Kamala and Black Widow). But the game was clearly rushed(only played solo campaign) This could have been one of the best superhero video games ever created. The story is amazing (but really good).     You get your favorite superheroes from the original Marvel's Avengers and maybe people are being a bit generous with this however the repetitiveness of story missions and progression is just boring and the in game currency is laughable and yeah there are microtransactions for cosmetic items. Multiplayer and Story seem fun but after 20 hours there's no much more to do maybe some DLC down the line?

I have found the game to be very fun the campaign is a bit short but the main meat and gravy is the coop anyway.     The game initially shines in MP - the Avengers initiative allows you to buddy up with three other players, AI filling up any free slots (unless you match make) and it works pretty well. SADLY, when you hit level 130 on your character - the game becomes a needless grind-fest, and you will quickly find resources to upgrade are getting scarce and upgrade costs become a joke!

    Sadly, the game gets stale really really fast - there are only so many times you can attack the same objectives, on the same maps, getting hardly any loot; before you really have to question whether this is a good use of your time!

    This game is not worth 70 bucks. Or 60. Or 50 for that matter. But half off it’s felt worth it, for the fun gameplay and story alone. I hope this game has time to become what it should be. As of now, I think it’s around a 6, but I can imagine a version of this game that gets closer to an 8 or 8.5, with a deeper endgame, reworked loot system, and more diverse enemies and activities. There’s a fun video game in here somewhere, and if you get it at the right price, it’s worth it for sure.    … Expand

    GaaS problems aside, the actual Avengers feel like cosplayers - there is no diference between the impact of Thor's mighty Mjolnir, Hulk's fists and Black Widow's... poitny glowing sticks. Characters play more or less the same with very little genuine personality and that's perfectly in tone with the bland, generic locations you will visit and the bland, generic enemies you will face.

    So is the story good at least? Not really - it feels like a decent, inconsistent and quite short (barely 8 hours) 6-issue series. There are some fun and quite exciting moments where you get a glimpse of what this game could have been but then you go straight back to the multiplayer prep which the story really is. Most of the characters are well-acted and look cool but the overemphasis on Kamala hurts the game badly - 70% of her dialogue is painfull cringe and the rest is just bland. There are a few convos between her and Avengers members that feel decent but it mostly feels like bad fan-fiction written by a kid who never got any attention in school. There are barely any villains - Taskmaster and Abomination are used for 5 mins each and never seen again and MODOK... is just MODOK, his origin here is cool enough but he isn't interesting as a character. Oh and Monica... you know Monica right? Yeah... Monica's here too.

    Overall Avengers feels like a free-to-play game which should have asked 10$ for it's mediocre story and nothing more (considering the absolute robbery going on in the marketplace - pathetic). New Avenger characters might bring some life into this husk of a game but unless each one comes with his own 2-hour campaign (LEGIT CAMPAIGN, not the half-assed missions from the middle of the OG story), you're essentially swapping skins and that gives little to no additional content.

    Avengers could have been so much more and still has the chance to fight it's way up to being a sort of good game if the devs play their cards perfectly post-launch, but as it stands right now, it's just a bland cash-grab that makes use of the Avengers license to mask a poor Destiny clone.    … Expand

    Если кто то ждал сходства с фильмами, то обломится. Герои не имеют ничего общего с киношными образами. И если в Spider-Manе это прокатило, так как если не ошибаюсь вышло три фильма с разными Паркерами, то в Мстителях актеры были одни и те же на протяжении четырех серий, не считая сольников.
    И так, что же мне не понравилось. Ну во-первых геймплей. Он здесь за разных героев. Короче привыкаешь к одному, а тут на тебе играй за другого, снова привыкай. Целостность игры сильно страдает. Когда открылись все герои то понял, что Iron Мan это такой имбовый вариант. Он хорош в ближнем бою, хорош в дальнем, у него неплохие суперспособности, он очень быстро передвигается. Плюс ко всему он летает и в отличии от Тора, летать на нем удобно. И полет в игре очень помогает в бою с огромными боссами, а также доставать всякие сундучки! Я начал прокачивать Iron Мanа и вдруг игра закончилась! И это второй недостаток, очень короткий сюжет.
    Визуально игра звёзд с неба не хватает, выглядит хуже Marvel’s Spider-Man с которой игру часто сравнивали до релиза, но ошибались. Сравнивать надо было с Agents of Mayhem, игры близки и геймплейно, и визуально, и концептуально.
    Да в игре есть побочные миссии, но выглядят они и проходятся абсолютно так же как и сюжетные, причем на абсолютно тех же картах. И это ещё один недостаток игры. Я насчитал всего четыре различные карты.
    Порадовал сюжет, за персонажами приятно наблюдать, но и это умудрились спустить в унитаз, так как сюжет слишком короток и к этим самым героям не успеваешь привыкнуть. Вообще меня порадовало начало игры за мисс Марвел, но всё это упёрлось в местный хабчик (летающий крейсер Химера), как в Anthem, и начались унылые задания типа: пойди найди, пойди принеси, пойди освободи, пойди подними уровень.
    В игру можно играть в кооперативе, но думаю это вряд ли сильно улучшит положение.
    Резюмирую. Всё выше сказанное просто разрушает то, что делает игру затягивающей и интересной, а именно атмосферу самой игры.
    А без игровой атмосферы, проходить данное произведение, просто скучно!    … Expand

    The gameplay can be a little repetitive but having multiple heroes to choose from can freshen the action.     There's a good game in here somewhere. Game play is....okay at best, story is decent. If this game had another year or two in development. All in all, this game is aggressively mediocre. I'd stay away until it drops at least 50% in price.

    It could’ve been a great single player title. The publisher chose to go down the game as a service path though, and those who prefer to play solo need to tackle run-of-the-mill co-op missions. The multiplayer on the other hand is messy, chaotic and in the long run boring. When the developers manage to fix the most pressing bugs and find a way to bring more variety to co-op, this might become a solid game. Right now, I can only recommend it to the biggest fans of the Avengers. [11/2020, p.26]

    This is the perfect example of "Games as a Service" done right. Marvel's Avengers offers up a superb campaign story to play through that is promised to be expanded on in the future. The gameplay may be repetitive, but it includes just enough to keep players interested and invested in the endgame content that is available now to keep this game going until the next step in its roadmap. The possibilities and potential in the future here are hugely exciting.

    There have been plenty of moments during my time with Marvel's Avengers where I’ve genuinely had a great time. But this game keeps finding ways to drag itself down- at times it almost feels like it goes out of its way to do so. There’s just so much here that I can’t overlook, no matter how hard I may try. An unnecessary and broken loot system, a litany of horrible technical issues, uninspired and one-note mission design, and a story that fails just as much as it succeeds- it doesn’t matter how mindlessly fun the combat is, it isn't enough to overcome such a heavy list of problems.
