    I know alot of people have alot of issues with the game but I am going to give it it's own space to build itself up. For me the game is overall good. I may be one of many who enjoyed the beta and is just being patient until the game updates itself. For us who like the avengers and is going I with an open mind I think you'll enjoy it.     Keep your expectations well put and the game could surprise you.     The multiplayer is decent but will hopefully improve. There is promise in future favorites such as Captain Marvel, Black Panther, and Spider-Man. Also the work done with Kamala Khan comes across excellently as you experience the highs and lows of what she goes through in the story. And I believe one of the best things I can say about this game is the campaign is engaging. The combat is best em' up with cinematic platforming. Throw in some RPG elements and customization and you have a decent game. But it's a good game likely due to the promise of more to come , but for how it is right now it's great.    … Expand

    I am giving it an 8 out of 10 due to the great single player campaign. It's multiplayer is still better than anthem. It's not as bad as people say, it's really pretty good, just needs a little more polish. I don't like games as a service by The Division 2 I love so it's growing on me. If they would've marketed the single player more it would've had a better score. I would rent it first.

    This game is a lot of fun! Excellent campaign, each team member plays differently, more stuff to come. I don't really play multi-player so if that's buggy, oh well. lots to do, and it's just really fun. looking forward to seeing how it evolves down the line. Back to it!

    If your looking for a fun game this is a great purchase. Yes there is a couple of bugs hear and there but will ironed out over time. nothing major in my play through. You can play as any avenger level them up and yes there is a diffrence in your power when you level up. There are microtransactions but you can unlock it all through the challange card abyway.     Marvel's Avengers is not the best game and not the worst game ever. I have had a fun time playing the game, but the story of the main campaign seems a bit rushed, when sitting back. I played a few hours since the release on the 1st of September and already finished the story without relatively a lot of trouble.

    There are the issues of the overly overpriced microtransactions, but it is not something that I care too much about, but it is a valid criticism and I would have appreciated that a Legendary skin didn't kost 14 dollars. Some people will be buying them, while someone will just go through the incredibly slow loop of ways to get cosmetics in the game without spending any more money.

    It is okay compared to other kinds of Marvel games in the past, but doesn't come near to the quality of Spider-Man PS4, but what did I expect? I bought the game, because I had been intrigued by the story through the beta and wanted to play more and I did like the gameplay, but I would have wished that it isn't so repetitive, when thinking about you have to do everything over and over again in order to get enough money for cosmetics.

    I had expected that I would have gotten enough units throughout my playtime, so I could buy a legendary skin from the cosmetics vendor, but I only got 2500 units and a legendary skin costs 7000. The grinding in this game will be insane. I just hope that the future updates and heroes will bring new fun into the game, so I don't get bored of it too fast.    … Expand

    I genuinely waited for this game and was very excited for it . I played the beta and was kind of disappointed but when the full game released I really enjoyed the campaign & had a blast using all the characters. In the beta some characters felt boring or not fun but in the full game they all feel fun , I have no idea if they changed something or I wasn’t playing right . But all in all II genuinely waited for this game and was very excited for it .     Does it have flaws, sure. But it has a good story, the graphics are great, the voice acting is wonderful, and I think this game was made for next Generation Hardware. There a lot of annoying little things will get fixed in the next few months. I think over all, as far as games as service go it has the best platform for growth and its the most complete launch to date.

Unfortunately all the missions are typical linear dungeons... Characters are quite balanced. And again... unfortunately, there is not enough content at the moment and the multiplayer coop does not work well.Pretty good game.     The game is great and have a lot of room to improve. Frame rate drops in PS4 version when your fighting a lot of enemies. Other than that the story mode was better than I expected and the characters play just how you would want them to play. Thier is a lot to do in the game before and after the campaign.

    One of the best games of the year. Great story, so much to do, and knowing that they will keep adding new stuff makes it totally worth it. Great job Square Enix!

I’m a huge Spider-Man fan, but I don’t think I enjoyed that game as much as this. It’s definitely not as risky. You may read some criticism that it is very similar to destiny. To an extent there’s a lot of truth to that. I’m not one who enjoys Destiny. But I would say thatThis game is a masterpiece. This game is made with a lot of heart. What really interested me was the interactions between Marvel characters. Most of the characters speak and act as I have always read them to. And i’m excited to see what the new roster will bring. I don’t think people who like the MCU may enjoy this game, but authentic comic fans will be thrilled to see this new narrative. I have already put in 30 hours and feel like I’ve barely touched the surface. With new updates incoming soon, I am finally enjoying 1 thing in 2020.… Expand

    This is a really well made game especially for comic book enthusiasts. The game is surprisingly well made and is really good despite the criticism it has gained prior to it's release. If you are into comic book superheroes and certain looter and RPG elements, then this game is a must play.

    Then there's co op, where the game pits you with 4-players in a open environment to collect loot and help NPCs. Its a decent arcade style looter that can be fun in short burst, however It lacks content to really make this replayable, as all you do is mop adds, secure a zone, destroy and progress to an escape route, in random order.

    I REALLY dislike how the loot is pure stat based and the cosmetic is entirely separate - lots of separation here.

    When its all said and done, the biggest hurdle Crystal Dynamics has to overcome is its consistent bug issues; clipping through worlds, camera running amoke and game break bugs that haults campaign progression. Avengers is exciting and you should look forward to it, but don't expect it to be a seamless experience, its not.    … Expand

    The story is good, the gameplay is good, but missions are repetitive and bug and performance issues are a real problem. Hope that with post launch updates the game can become less buggy and more variegated. For now it's a good game with some problems, but higly enjoyable

    I don't understand everyone hating on this game. All the characters feel amazing to play and are very different from each other.     So far the best Avengers game released. I only wish it had either kept the exact style and feel of the MCU movies or go based on the comics instead of creating something that takes inspiration from both.

    Crystal dynamics did good work here. The story is good, the characters loveable , the combat deep if you truly want it to be , the action is a fun time , the voice acting is top notch , and everything else " multiplayer " is a extra bonus . Not to mention their monatisation model is actually pleasently fair " everything is gribdable " .

There were moments where I could really relate with Ms. Marvel, who is a big fan of the Avengers.

    One of the core strengths of this game are the heroes. They are so well designed and unique. The skill trees are expansive and offer the possibility to customize the hero to you play style. There are also a lot of enemy types, and every one of them attacks with a different timing and range. So it will take time to master your hero and know when to block, vault or dodge.

    This is a looter shooter, so gear is kinda important. But I cannot comment yet on gear as the game is only in early access since tuesday, but I can see it has a lot of potential.

    I absolutely love this game, but there were some cons. I experienced some minor graphical bugs and sound bugs, but nothing game breaking. The vaulting system to jump over an enemy has improved a lot since the beta. Which indicates to me that CD really is listening to the community and adjusting where needed. The dodging and blocking mechanics could use some more love too.

    I play on a base PS4 and had an overall good performance, there were some missions where I had frame drops, so I do hope they will keep optimizing the game on all platforms.

    With the announced operations and updates and much more heroes and content to be added in the future, I will definitely keep returning to this game and look forward to play it on my PS5 at the end of the year. If I could describe this game in one word, it would be FUN. Im really having loads of fun with it, and that is the most important thing, therefore I assemble a user score of 9/10!    … Expand

    Extremely great. Loved the campaign from the start to end . Bugs have been fixed and game now runs really smooth .Square Enix with Marvel have done a great job.

With all the updates that they plan to be coming, for free by the way, I can see a good future for this game. I have played this game from, each beta and also got the 3 day early pass. I have not completed it yet but still doesn't mean I can't say how I feel because sheeple will cry and a good game can fail, so you should ignore the review bombs and actually try it out yourself. Wait and see what the Critics say from IGN, Metacritic and where ever else you trust. It is a great game. Its fun. Who does not want to smash as the Hulk or fly through the air as Iron-man or even the new character who I really like aka Ms Marvel. Lots of great things with this game and that's what you should be focusing on. I am sick of the negativity with the games and how these people create their games, Yes there is microtransactions at your discretion to do it or not. I believe them to be all cosmetical, so different suits or emotes. I haven't really checked out the microtransactions yet because I'm still learning the game and playing it. I believe there is also a way to earn to buy cosmetical items. I mean they are going to keep this game fresh and put up a lot of updates, so microtransactions just gives them a little bit of money to keep that going, help out the workers and artests who work hard on this game, which I'm fine with. I don't mind buying a cool outfit every now and then if they keep it fresh and updated.

    So I'll leave you with this, it is a great game. Obviously there's going to be bugs and issues but they are listening to the people and I believe they will fix them. Instead of listening to negativity about it listen to the positive. Search or watch it for yourself and decide yourself if you want to buy the game or not. Don't listen to what people say, your opinion can be different than the next guys. I'm enjoying the game and I can't wait to dive deeper into Marvel's Avengers.    … Expand

    Great campaign. Probably the best superhero videogame ever (with Batman: Arkham series). I love it. Co-op is very fun if you play it with friends. Gameplay feels good too with every character. I'm so happy with this game. And I can't wait to play with the upcoming new heroes.     The campaign story is excellent and really well written, the characters have unique set of skill that make each of them fun to play
    The only downside is that the campaign locks some characters until almost the end of the story and that the price for skins is WAY overpriced

    Great fun but the campaign is a little short. Obviously will improve once DLC stories are added. I think it should of had at least one dlc on release. I’ve experienced a few bugs and glitches but nothing major and will definitely get patched soon.

    This game DOES NOT deserve the hate it gets. It has the best campaign I’ve played in recent years and each character is so unique that I keep going back to each one for more! I would highly recommend this game.

Do research about the game, the official website is right there, actually read about it.     I want to hate this game, because I aee exactly what everyone is complaining about, but after completing the single player campaign and dipping my toes into multiplayer, I have to say I'm still having a blast! Fingers crossed that square listens to the criticisms and builds on what makes this game fun!

    Great game. I'm having lots o fun and just finished de campaing mode. Read to go full coop now. I wont give a 10 because there are still a few bugs with voice dub and frame rate drops but i'm sure they will address it asap. I'm very happy with the game so far and I know i'll be spending lots of time on it.

    Honestly this game is almost perfect. The story is interesting and adds a very underrated character in Kamala Khan, who adds a fresh perspective on the story. The biggest drawback to me is the endgame. It's a grind for gear that does draw rather long as it goes on

    I recommend this for any marvel fan and its a fun time with friends. Story:its fun and very engaging surprisingly so there's tons of single player content here.

    Gameplay:its very flashy in your fave beat'em up style that I appreciate. With light and heavy combo and a deeper skill tree than would've expected (it rivals destiny skill tree easily). The most is how every hero is so good and    I recommend this for any marvel fan and its a fun time with friends. Story:its fun and very engaging surprisingly so there's tons of single player content here.

    Loving this game. I was not a fan of hav6this story led by Kamala but they handled her well, made her likeable, and her interactions constantly Avengers are great moments. The cut scenes are very well done and the story is engaging. There are some things that could be adjusted , like the mf health. Half the time I have no idea when my health is low unless I'm constantly looking at it. ButLoving this game. Campaign took me 10 hour on normal and that was a lot of fun the multiplayer is where bugs started to show up for me but nothing major happened and for the most part been a seemless 25 hour with way more to come for me… Expand

    The negative reviews are like reading any comment section of any social network app out there. People love to hate these days. Is this game super deep like Skyrim or something? Of course not. It's not supposed to be. It is a very fun game to play! Kids and Marvel fans of all ages will love it!

    It's not the most epic story of all time, but it's super fun. I think they did a great job of the characterisations of everyone and didn't copy paste from the MCU. The combat is fun, some characters way more than others. My only gripe is that the tutorial comes wah too late in the game.

    I was very in the fence, but I am so pleasent surprised with this title that I decided to be very generous with my grade.

    Its for sure a 8! Just needs some polish and some FPS stability and we have a title to play super heroes and grind for gear and upgrades.

    Loving it!

    It felt like a pretty good Marvel story as far as things go. Kamala is awesome but I would go as far as saying that the game mostly focuses on Hulk, Iron Man and Kamala.

    The post story multiplayer stuff is pretty much your typical live service / mmo, repeatable missions to earn better gear. Some story beats there.

    Let's start of with the story, the story is a wonderful origin story for Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel. The banter between her and the characters are fantastic. This game made me fall in love with her character so much that I went and bought a couple of her TPB's. The story itself is really well told and has some great cinematic moments that you would want from a AAA title.     Make yourself a favour, stop listening to the negative reviews by people that didn't even played the game! It's a great game, great story, overall a must play if you are a marvel fan, and an awsome experience for every gamer out there!

    Really enjoyed the story mode of the game. Ms. Marvel was a great choice to focus the game on. So far the combat has been pretty satisfying and love how each character is different. Voice acting is top notch but a few characters seemed a bit off. Honestly can't wait for the next content drop to see what's next. The game is getting a lot of hate that really isn't deserved.

    The storyline has actually been pretty good so far. The voice acting and the characters have depth although the way that Tony stark is portrayed is not the best from a comedic stand point.     Extremely fun game, the campaign is well crafted and heartfelt, the graphics are visually impressive, the amount of content in store for anyone to play is a blast, and overall it's probably one of the better live service games out there, highly recommend it if you're a fan of marvel and/or games similar to destiny

    It could’ve been a great single player title. The publisher chose to go down the game as a service path though, and those who prefer to play solo need to tackle run-of-the-mill co-op missions. The multiplayer on the other hand is messy, chaotic and in the long run boring. When the developers manage to fix the most pressing bugs and find a way to bring more variety to co-op, this might become a solid game. Right now, I can only recommend it to the biggest fans of the Avengers. [11/2020, p.26]

    This is the perfect example of "Games as a Service" done right. Marvel's Avengers offers up a superb campaign story to play through that is promised to be expanded on in the future. The gameplay may be repetitive, but it includes just enough to keep players interested and invested in the endgame content that is available now to keep this game going until the next step in its roadmap. The possibilities and potential in the future here are hugely exciting.

    There have been plenty of moments during my time with Marvel's Avengers where I’ve genuinely had a great time. But this game keeps finding ways to drag itself down- at times it almost feels like it goes out of its way to do so. There’s just so much here that I can’t overlook, no matter how hard I may try. An unnecessary and broken loot system, a litany of horrible technical issues, uninspired and one-note mission design, and a story that fails just as much as it succeeds- it doesn’t matter how mindlessly fun the combat is, it isn't enough to overcome such a heavy list of problems.
