    Great, fun and Amazing. This game reminded me of what it felt to be an avengers fan. Kamala is amazing and her interactions with the rest of the cast are great. The story mixed with the co op has a lot to do and a lot of fun to be had. The combat is very in depth once you start leveling up.

    This game has some of the most joyously fun gameplay I've experienced in a while. Each character is so enjoyable to play as, and the high quality variety of each character's gameplay is just pure awesome. Every character feels unique and powerful. The graphics are stunning.     Campaign is a high point. Additional missions are repetitive and there are bugs a plenty. Technically what has been delivered is quite impressive. It could have been a lot worse yet people love negativity these days. DLC characters, more story, gameplay improvements and bug fixes to come so plenty to look forward to. 10/10 is just to off-set the drivel.

    The game is great if you like to play multiplayer experiences, plus it has some cool hero mechanics put in place, don't mind the crybabies around the platform review bombing this game.

    I bought the game expecting to play a story that involves the story of various marvel heroes as they unite together to fight evil, but that is not the case with this game. This game is about Kamala Khan, Ms. Marvel as she single-handedly reunites the avengers after they fell apart, because clearly no one else can in the 4 years that they have been disbanded. She wouldn't be so annoying had she been one part of the avengers story, but she is the central character and is the one you have to play as through most of the story. I wish I didn't buy the game but my friends insist I play it online with them.… Expand

    Fun, realy fun, for someone that played marvel Nemesis rise of imperfects, the iron man games, captain america movie game, without a doubt best cap, iron man, thor game, hulk no, ultimate destruction was great, sad to see lot of people passing the game because of review bombing and opinion, great campaign, some technical problems with voice but nothing game breaking,

    Honestly, it was pretty much what I was expecting except for the story which was way better than I expected. The game still have some issues with Frame Rate but comparing it to how it was on the beta it is a big improvement. Can’t wait to see where they will go with this game.

    my god such an awesome story.. I loved every minute of it and can't wait to see what else they come up with later on down the line. I really can’t believe how good this game is and some of the things you can do. This game is going to get better and better

    A good, fun & addictive time. The Game is hub-based, with you starting missions & inviting people, being randomly matched, or Playing with AI. You are always obtaining new gear, nameplates & skins. The daily & weekly quests give rewards for those who don't want to use the Cash Shop for Cosmetics that have no barring on Stats. The multiplayer allows friends & randoms to Tackle Quests even in single player mode.

    The Story is a bit on the dark side, the narration and motivations are well written. The Character Dialogue has it's moments especially when you bring certain heroes on a mission together. The voice acting is done well, not coming off overly cheesy.

    The True Fun lies in the difficulty, this game can be as easy or hard as you want but playing on Hard or Brutal with Challenge IV Modifiers makes for some intense, action-packed missions. The game rewards you based on how well you complete these missions, so the tougher and better you play the better your gear & rewards.

    Problems people may have with the game is that each hero has to be leveled & geared individually. This may make play redundant especially when you've already completed missions on your Main Hero. A Remedy is that there are Factions which reward you with gear & items as you earn Rep by doing daily and weekly missions. Building rep will make the gearing of alternate Hereos less tedious.

    To me, this game feels Diabloesque with you constantly getting loot drops & building sets to suit your playstyle. With more heroes being added along with DLC, the varied playstyles and your personal interests in Hero building will keep the game interesting whether single or Co-op for the foreseeable future.    … Expand

    The game is good, its give you a chance how to feel like an Avenger. The game have depth about character development, and it is have a potential future. I give 8/10 to it, but I score a 10 because of the xbox and other retards who underrate the game.

    I thought they did an incredible job capturing the story, it’s very cinematic but as a fan of the films it was like a film. In terms of the loot system, it’s not brilliant but I do really like the challenge cards which since I first played keep me coming back to unlock more for my favourite characters.     This is THE Avengers game is was waiting for, for years. I am so intrigued. There are flaws.... and there are problems at the moment, yes, but nothing game breaking, at least for me.

    The Story is nice, people complaining to not know Kamala and making her non-existent new character should really get more into comics ^^

    Looking forward to the Quantum Realm DLC this autumn :)

But, what you get in return is a longevity, character variety and depth that are enough to keep you playing for a long time to come,    The mixed reviews look scary at a glance, but don't be put off.     I see people complaining about the campaign...The campaign is a great experience, with set pieces and memorable moments to put a smile on your face. I see others complain about longevity and grind... I cant remember the last time I even considered opening up Spider-Man again once the story was done. No problem like that here.

    Once the niggling frame rate issues and (uncommon) gameplay bugs are fixed, we have a stellar super hero action extravaganza here, with something for everyone!    … Expand

I'm rarely, over my 20+ years of gaming, having ever run into bugs, and that includes games from Bethesda. I'm rarely, over my 20+ years of gaming, having ever run into bugs, and that includes games from Bethesda. I, in fact, openly admit I would be a horrible game tester because of how often I seem to have no problems while others run into a surplus. This game, however, is polluted with bugs, I truly wonder who (if anyone) was hired to do any sort of alpha, beta or bug testing before this games' release. Audio bugs, cosmetic bugs, combat bugs, the game crashing at random moments. You name it, the game'll have a bug affecting how enjoyable that aspect is.

    The combat, for all its positives have an equal amount of negatives; It's *too* chaotic and at the best of times, simply unfair, and that's not even including how awful your AI partners are. When you've got 2 of them off in a completely different zone running around in circles (literally) and one of them just staring off into space, meanwhile you have to fend off 20 machines that all spawn at once, some of them being gigantic damage-sponges, even without the 10000-damage shields some of them come equipped with, needless to say, you're pretty screwed and you're going to have to die to reset the AI so they do what they're supposed to. That's the tip of the iceberg with the combat. Never mind the off-screen turrets of which there is a surplus is every level, flying enemies with ranged weapons with bullets all traveling at varying speeds, so the attack indicators on them do you absolutely no good. Then you have enemies with incredibly broken mechanics, featuring god-levels of tracking on their attacks, stun locks that last a good 2 seconds, then they proceed to 2-shot or 1-shot your character, even playing as the Hulk. Again...not even the tip of the iceberg with combat....

    The story thus far, granted I haven't finished it, has many parts where it simply feels very disjointed. Events happen that you are not privy to and you're just left wondering, "how exactly did that character accomplish this?" The world may never know because the devs designed a contrived, cheesy, cliché, and half-assed story that, amid all the time they had, and still feels like it's missing a lot of parts and context.

    It needs so much work still that again, I'm brought back to my original point and question of why it was released in its current state. Maybe down the line, after the team has had a LOT of time to work out these bugs, fine-tune the experience, add more characters, maybe fix the story by adding in some necessary cut-scenes? Truly, I don't envy the team with how much more work needs to go into the game - I just regret buying it on release.    … Expand

Numerous functional issues including local save only (cannot Steam cloud save), complete inability to replay the campaign so then locked into 'end game' multi-player, disappearing inventory and collectible items, incomplete/inaccurate animations and cut scenes, subtitles which outright do not match dialogue, and extensive bugs and crashes... EvenAs it stands, I cannot recommend this game.     How anyone can reasonably rate this higher than a 6.5 baffles me. As it stands, I could not grant it more than a 4. I would note that if all the functional issues gets changed, it would skyrocket to an 8+, but that is hopeful and minimally months away.    … Expand

The story and missions feels super cheap, derivative, and passionless. Even the combat system in the game bad, like offensively bad.     Overall, kind of disappointing. Plus Microtransactions SUCK in this. While it was great to see AIM finally given some screentime, theres a lot of flaws here that are hard to overlook. Combat is VERY repetitive, hero abilities are ... uninspired. Would not play again, and would not buy again.

    Right now this game is a 5/10 with its' terrible performance issues. Dropping frames and lagging like crazy during combat and traversal. After playing for a bit you'll realize the only time the game runs smooth is when you're crawling around the Chimera and other Outposts. If the performance issues and terrible war table UI are ironed out this game is easily a 7/10. After you finish theRight now this game is a 5/10 with its' terrible performance issues. The quests and world are generic. The story is literally your generic super hero story. The combat? You guessed it.....generic. So disappointed. Haven't companies learned that the "games as a live service model" is just plain ass?

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Picked this game up solely for the story campaign and I'm glad I did so! I went through it completely solo and still had a good time. Graphics are beautiful and environments are enjoyable the first time around. They did phenomenally well for this story especially seeing as how it could be screwed up so easy the characters and voice actors did great and similar to the movies. There's no need for major grind if all you want to do is the main story campaign which I recommend every marvel fan do the game play can be repetitive at times but it could've been way worse. I appreciate the occasional twist as well. I love marvel so this may not be for everyone at full retail price but when a sale hits or just borrow from a friend to have a great time with friends or solo with the avengers we've grown to love just for the main campaign and i dont believe you'll be dissatisfied… Expand

    Very fun! People will inevitably compare to PS4 Spidey, but that doesn't feel like a reasonable comparison since the games are so different. The grinding may be a bit of a drag at times but the varied gameplay mechanics and fun story make up for the smash-and-loot parts.

I’ll give it a 9.5/10 only because I felt as if the story was too short, I loved it so much that it would’ve been great if they had expanded it a bit more. The gameplay is amazing, it feels smooth and fun. The characters and their relationships are amazing, I had my doubts at first but they did an amazing job with them.     I honestly have so much fun playing this game i don't know why people are hating on it without even playing it first.

    The story is fantastic, Gameplay is great, looting could be better but it's fine for now, but other than that I have no complains so far.

    The amount of greed in a superhero game with children as it's main audience is disgusting. The combat is very average and sometimes clunky and broken. The level design is laughable and not made for any of the heroes you play as. Hard skip this one

    The game looks really good but the gameplay gets really boring and on controller are some heroes like Iron Man unplayable. The idea of playing the heroes that everyone knows and everyone likes yourself in a video game gets completely destroyed from the fact that non of the characters feel special.

I can tell from other reviews that some people are mainly just pissed because you start out playing as Ms. Marvel (a female, muslim character). Those reviews kind of speak for themselves... If you're a fan of Marvel and the Avengers, chances are that you will enjoy this game.

    The premise is a mixture between Destiny and beat-em-up games like Ultimate Alliance. You start out as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. A series of events have left the Avengers broken and disbanded. Your goal is simple - get the band back together and save the world. The reviews saying you are forced to play as Ms. Marvel the whole game are flat out wrong. You start with Ms. Marvel and can quickly use other characters as you progress through the story and unlock them. You can use other characters and level them up for pretty much most missions unless it's a specific character mission, but there aren't many of those.

    I've played a lot since it came out and still I'm only 58% complete with the story. Afterwards, you can play through various multiplayer "strike missions" similar to Destiny and upgrade your gear more and more in order to tackle harder content. Since the game is a live-service, more and more content will be released in the future. There are some bugs and gameplay hiccups that i assume will be patched out soon but i haven't encountered anything that would be gamebreaking thus far.

    All things considered, this is a good game. Graphics are good, the combat is fun, plenty of launch content and more will be released, new heroes are coming soon, and you can kick back with some friends to beat up bad guys as an Avenger. If you enjoy the gear grind of Destiny, enjoy getting loot, or just want some Marvel hero action you can jump in and out of then you should give this a shot.    … Expand

Repetitive combat might be forgiven if the level design wasn't also reused shamelessly. This game just feels like a licensed movie game that would've came out 12 years ago (honestly the 2008 Iron man game is shockingly similar toI have no motivation to keep playing this game.     Incredible... in terms of bugs. I am on the anthill mission and a bug appears that does not allow me to advance in the campaign. На компьютере по старее - кроме вышесказанного ещё фризил геймлпей, фризили ролики, которые иногда были черно-белые. Поэтому для меня главной проблемой этой игры является - оптимизация. Но могу так же добавить спорную механику вещей. Большая куча мусорных вещей, которая просто дает какую-то призрачную мощь. Ноль влияния на облик, ноль влияния на тип анимации скилов, сетовых эффектов - просто призрачная мощь...серьезно? Боевые пропуски в покупной игре? Интересный ход. Ну допустим вы будете "качественно" поддерживать игру долгие годы и это будет ваша плата, но подождите, вы даже вложенные 2000 руб. за покупку не оправдали. Какие боевые пропуски? Ребята, исправьте оптимизацию, уберите кучу ненужных эффектов (или сделайте так, что бы они не уничтожали ПК) - оправдайте, вложенные 2000 руб. и тогда, можно будет в это играть, тогда можно будет задуматься о боевых пропусках. На данный момент вы выпустили сырой, багованный до чертиков проект, которые требует не один патч. 4/10 с с призрачной надеждой, что вы всё это исправите. Иначе вы заслуживаете просто 0/10, так как нормально в этот проект мне поиграть не удалось.

    P.S.: Ах да, плевок в сторону людей, которые играют на ПК эксклюзивом ТОЛЬКО ДЛЯ SONY - вы только ухудшили к себе отношение.    … Expand

The rest of the story is inoffensively predictable, nothing will surprise you.

    The game as whole is a glitchy mess, the default camera angle make combat unbearable as your camera gets dragged into the ground. Use the wide combat camera in the settings. If you want to know more about how the game plays, go play some destiny and that should give you a good idea. I refuse to put more effort describing this games combat than the developers put into it.

    Micro transactions are atrocious. $20 for a single skin is insane for a game I just spent $60 on. Remove them.

    I’m sure this game will be awesome in a year, maybe we will have another battlefront 2 on our hands. Let’s hope because right now it’s not worth the money.    … Expand

    Amazing Game. Everyone should definitely try it. Microtransactions are not necessary at all in this game. And all upcoming DLCs will be free. The campaign will have a second part and the first one was more than amazing. The graphics and the gameplay are awesome !

    This game is the game every Marvel fan wished for. And I can’t wait for future updates !

Parabéns a Square Enix por ter conseguido trazer um jogo que nós fãs da Marvel, fãs dos Avengers conseguirmos jogar tudo aquilo que sempre quisemos. I thought it was going to be extremely difficult to bring so many characters into one game and be able to specialize in each of them but I think they did a great first attempt . The campaign is really cool I just wish it was much longer. The campaign is really cool I just wish it was much longer. All the characters are great but some could be worked on for a smoother experience. My personal idea would be to keep this game updated for a few years to come where they let you purchase future dlc updates Of all the avengers characters , each with their own unique story fully fleshed out . I’d pay for that. The micro transactions have no affect on the game but I must say that all cosmetics are ridiculously priced . There’s no way I’d pay that for a skin . If they reduced the price by at least 70% for cosmetics then I would consider it . Overall it was much better than I though it would be . It honestly feels amazing to be an avenger and I was seriously impressed with black widow. Did not expect to enjoy playing with her character would be so satisfying!I would give it about 7 out of 10 but because of all the negative pointless review I had to give it a 10 . I think if they proceed down this path and truly expand the universe in a meaningful way this game could definitely become a masterpiece. Hopefully when they make a 2nd one the perfect dream will come true .… Expand

    The game is a pretty RPG looter game, some people are missing this detail. Microtransactions are for cosmetics only and all the upcoming content is going to be free.

    It could’ve been a great single player title. The publisher chose to go down the game as a service path though, and those who prefer to play solo need to tackle run-of-the-mill co-op missions. The multiplayer on the other hand is messy, chaotic and in the long run boring. When the developers manage to fix the most pressing bugs and find a way to bring more variety to co-op, this might become a solid game. Right now, I can only recommend it to the biggest fans of the Avengers. [11/2020, p.26]

    This is the perfect example of "Games as a Service" done right. Marvel's Avengers offers up a superb campaign story to play through that is promised to be expanded on in the future. The gameplay may be repetitive, but it includes just enough to keep players interested and invested in the endgame content that is available now to keep this game going until the next step in its roadmap. The possibilities and potential in the future here are hugely exciting.

    There have been plenty of moments during my time with Marvel's Avengers where I’ve genuinely had a great time. But this game keeps finding ways to drag itself down- at times it almost feels like it goes out of its way to do so. There’s just so much here that I can’t overlook, no matter how hard I may try. An unnecessary and broken loot system, a litany of horrible technical issues, uninspired and one-note mission design, and a story that fails just as much as it succeeds- it doesn’t matter how mindlessly fun the combat is, it isn't enough to overcome such a heavy list of problems.
