    This game isn’t very good To be honest with everyone. The gameplay isn’t bad it’s ok and fun. But as far as everything else it is very weak and terrible. You have a Avengers game and decide to only have three villains in the game? That being Modok, Taskmaster and Abomination. What a joke. On top of that the campaign is repetitive with such a basic story it’s just meh. The acting of theThis game isn’t very good To be honest with everyone. The gameplay isn’t bad it’s ok and fun. But as far as everything else it is very weak and terrible. You have a Avengers game and decide to only have three villains in the game? That being Modok, Taskmaster and Abomination. What a joke. On top of that the campaign is repetitive with such a basic story it’s just meh. The acting of the characters is the only thing to make the game bearable. Also the loot progression and unlocks is so bad. You can get a total of 64 credits a week. To unlock you’re hero card it requires 200 credits total. So you’d have to work for three weeks and a couple days just to fill up one hero card. The paywall is ridiculous they are super shady. On top of all that the cosmetics are trash buckets. I love marvel to death but they gave the keys to crystal dynamics and they dropped the ball so hard. Cosmetics you’re pretty much grinding for are reskins I mean for **** sake you have a rogue gallery of Avengers hero’s and instead of including iconic outfits they just decide let’s make the same outfit with just different colors and charge a **** ton of money to unlock them otherwise you gotta grind for a year to get everything. It’s a joke this game is trash and the only reason I’m giving it a 5 is because it has some fun gameplay elements. Graphics are no where near as good as say final fantasy 7 remake or last of us 2. Nobody wants a game as a service Marvel game. We just want fun single player experiences like Spider Man for PS4. I hope Marvel learns from this and they let a better developer make a GOOD game. Because this game is just sad. I’m a big Marvel fan and this is a let down and disappointment. It will be on my list of bad games of the year.… Expand

Hulk surprisingly is weak at times he's like the brute characters of the game. Black widow is the characters that use guns and melee. Once you upgrade her she gets lots more powerful with the high caliber weapon doing lots of damage. Ms.Marvel is like Mr.Fantastic where she can stretch and swing and being the main character in the story mode. Iron man is that one character where you should probably stay in the air lots of the time because the other characters asides from thor can't really get that much hits off of the flying characters. Thor is kinda like iron man but overpowered he's really strong with his lighting powers. Mjolnir hits hard and pins enemies down. But after the story, there are many missions to do in the online mode, and thats really fun grinding each character so you get them to the max is fun. But does get super repetitive like some missions get repeated and they just put (revisited) besides its name so you might think it's new but it really is not. And there are many glitches. The marketplace is like the item shop of this game with overpriced cosmetics that are not even that good at all but asides from the bad stuff that they should fix. the game is really fun and interesting and I would recommend to anyone looking to play a new game.… Expand

    Below average gameplay with every character washed-out and feels kinda the same combat-wise with some variations.
    Ok graphics.
    Endgame is on anthem level of bs-ness.
    It's not even bad in a fun way. It's just boring.

    It's a button masher through-and-through. This game gets very repetitive with levels repeating with different skins over them. Same with the characters- per my name I was very excited for one of the characters and he had as much depth and dimension as single piece of paper. There was a lot of potential for this game and it looks like the developers went for greed over substance. Shame,It's a button masher through-and-through.     As a marvel fan, there is a LOT here to like. The character design and core gameplay loop are both excellent. It feels like you are playing each of the distinct characters. Unfortunately, the game is also extremely buggy, the environments and enemies are repetitive and the loot system needs to be tweaked. Still, I am having a BLAST playing this game with my friends and am lookingAs a marvel fan, there is a LOT here to like. The character design and core gameplay loop are both excellent.     El juego no se ha hecho para los aficionados, sino para los trajes corporativos. Es constantemente querer sumergirse en su cartera mientras no da nada digno a cambio.     Lastima que le tiraron piedras a este juego solo porque En La version de PlayStation esta Spider-Man y por otras cosas.
    Muy buenos graficos y banda sonora.

    This game is unfinished, long loading screens, models not loading in, falling through the world, etc needed way more time. The story also feels rushed as hell, a huge character fight and makeup from said fight didn't take 5 minutes. Wait a few months or skip the game all together.

    The game's uninspired and boringly repetitive combat system combined with a pointless loot system, manage to make even a cast as diverse as the Avengers feel samey. Unfortunately the story isn't much better. The developer's focus has clearly been less on making an interesting game and a lot more on creating a ridiculously greedy monetization system and a tasteless advertising platform.

The characters seem slow, the dodge function is garbage, and lock-on feature doesn’t work properly, and the aiming system doesn’t make sense for the crowd combat system. After the most recent spider-man game,This game is a gigantic disappointment. While it’s visually impressive and the early gameplay gives a good impression, as you play you realize how crappy the combat mechanics are. The characters seem slow, the dodge function is garbage, and lock-on feature doesn’t work properly, and the aiming system doesn’t make sense for the crowd combat system. After the most recent spider-man game, which had a phenomenal combat engine, I figured they’d get this right, but the game has been a giant let-down. But the main reason I’m giving it one star is because it is littered with bugs and has become unplayable for me. Even with their patches, things have only gotten worse. After the most recent patch, I can’t even load the game. I wouldn’t even care that much, because it isn’t that fun, but after paying $60 for a game (I almost never buy games at release because I’m cheap) I feel entitled to a refund (which of course I can’t get). They released this game prematurely, and they don’t seem to be doing a good job of cleaning up the issues they shouldn’t have had at release to begin with.… Expand

    Bon jeu pour une nouvelle licence,le mode campagne est bien correct sans plus mais le jeu prend tout sont sense après la campagne.
    Un mmo basic à la Destiny mais a troisième personne entre pote qui est très plaisant.Un point négatif c’est qui manque de vilain et de missions désertifier.

    micro transactions and a big cost upfront (why div this?) Everything wrong with live service games all in one package. But the campaign is fun! For a time. Has a few moments of cool, followed by others of crappyness. Above average, hoping it gets better as these games sometimes do.

    Lo bueno: Una historia original y muy bien contada, con unos personajes muy bien desarrollados, muy apegados a los cómics y ucm, un gran ejemplo de esto seria Kamala Khan o miss marvel. POR LEJOS LO MEJOR DEL JUEGO

    Lo malo: A pesar de ser una buena , es muy corta y la variedad de enemigos clasicos es muy poca.

    MULTIJUGADOR: Bueno aquí vienen los peros del juego, el multijugador a pesar de ser divertido al jugar con amigos y ganar recompensas, es muy repetitivo, las misiones siempre son lo mismo por lo que con el tiempo te aburrirás, ademas, que carece de propósito, te sientes vació al terminar una misión, eso a pesar de ganar trajes muy bonitos. Se supone que a futuro habrán eventos.

    JUGABILIDAD: Algunos diran que es un machaca-botones, pero no, porque junto con los esquivos y las diferentes formas de contraatacar con cada personaje, existe el arbol de habilidades, que no solo mejor el daño o cosas asi, sino, que agrega una gran variedad de combos. Sin embargo no es perfecto pues, no es un combate fluido, puedes estar peleando y al esquivar o hacer un combo que no combine con otro y te quedas ahi parado frenando la fluidez del combate, algo que se pudo haber hecho al estilo de los ARKHAM.

    BUGS: Demasiados bugs y errores con las texturas, en pocas ocaciones tendras que volver al punto de control para desbuguearte.

    TRAJES Y DISEÑOS: Los diseños y trajes originales de la historia estan muy bien logrados, mejorandolos de las primeras version, pero los trajes que se ganan en misiones o en la tienda son muy simples en su mayoria, pues no varian mas que en el color en la mayoria y para que hablariamos de los precios excesivos

    GRAFICOS: Graficos mas que aceptables, incluso con algunas pocas mejoras desde la demo del 2019, sin embargo, se pueden ver una gran variedad de errores de carga de texturas.

    CONCLUSIÓN: Marvel Avengers es un buen juego con una campaña y gráficos casi perfectos pero que su multijugador carecería de variedad, teniendo un sistema de combate simple pero efectivo aunque no muy fluido. Este es un gran juego pero no es perfecto, le falta mucho para eso.    … Expand

    The Game is really fun and looks Good. The story is really well done and my only real issue with the game is the story feels a little too short. I have seen negative reviews saying the game is buggy, it is a shame it isn't perfect from release but it will be fixed that doesn't feel like a good reason to rate a good game badly

    The Avengers finally assemble on console and PC, but not without a few hiccups along the way.

    I had quite high hopes as I loaded up Avengers for the first time, I had enjoyed the beta but hoped that there would be still a lot more to find out, and while there isn’t as much variety as I would like, the campaign is so much fun and definitely has replay-ability.     I had quite high hopes as I loaded up Avengers for the first time, I had enjoyed the beta but hoped that there would be still a lot more to find out, and while there isn’t as much variety as I would like, the campaign is so much fun and definitely has replay-ability.

    The game has one of the best beginnings of a game I’ve ever played. You are introduced to a young Kamala and have to find comics through out all the hustle and bustle of the A-day celebrations, now while I know this doesn’t sound to exciting, but what makes this such a good opening is Kamala, she is such a fangirl and personifies what everyone would act like in that situation. It makes the introduction to all the avengers so much cooler as Kamala loses her mind as they each talk to her. This is a thing that carries through the entire game and always makes you as a player think ‘Wow, I’m playing as the Avengers!’

    Once this sequence has finished and you have played the A-Day mission from the Beta, is where I start to have issues with the first few hours of this game. The first hour of this game shows exactly how good this game can be with the quick transitions between characters and the awesome character relationship with the endless one liners and quips throughout the early missions. Then it strips it all away and gives you Kamala and Bruce, it’s disappointing that all of that potential is stripped away and you are given arguably the worst of the Avengers to spend the longest with.

    This is the part where the game becomes a bit confusing because it’s clear that these style of missions, that are essentially capture the flags or destroy the objectives, it’s clear it is trying t gear you up for the multiplayer but you’re playing the campaign. It’s difficult because it’s clear they want to try and please as many people as possible but by doing so it never really commits to anything. The beginning of this game and the end of this campaign are as good as Marvel’s Spider-Man. It is story focused, great combat mind-blowing experience, but in the middle it tries to ween you into the multiplayer aspect which for me was rather annoying as I was trying to play the campaign not the multiplayer.

    Besides the minor detour in the middle part of the campaign and the fairly frequent performance issues, which I wasn’t overly concerned by as most of this game is going to be on next gen consoles anyway, this is a really good game it’s going to take time to see how the game as a service part will perform but I will definitely play this campaign again on PS5.

    I will do a separate review for the Avengers Initiative, the long term part of the game, a little further down the line as it’s difficult to see where it is going a week after launch,

I was afraid that it would only consist of constant fighting with various opponents, but there is a lot of climbing, etc. , interaction with the environment and an interesting plot, which for me is a huge advantage. In addition, collectibles are veeeeeryI bought this game with the campaign in mind and I wasn't disappointed, and what's more, this game turned out to exceed my expectations.     I really like Marvel movies. I didn´t expect a deep dive story like The last of us but nice Action with my favorite Heroes.
    I think the game would be great if they developed the singleplayer Campaign more and focused on an linear Action Adventure more than a Games as a Service, but MONEY.

    Story: 4/10 The story of Avengers is pretty basic. The villain's motivations aren't that compelling and the plot is filled with basic story beats you can see coming from a mile away. There was only one "twist" that I didn't see coming, but it still wasn't enough to make me more interested    While Avengers is a somewhat fun game, it is bogged down by many problems.     The story of Avengers is pretty basic. The villain's motivations aren't that compelling and the plot is filled with basic story beats you can see coming from a mile away. There was only one "twist" that I didn't see coming, but it still wasn't enough to make me more interested in the story. Other than that, I found the story to be pretty boring.

    Gameplay/Missions: 5/10
    The gameplay loop is fun for the first hour or so, it quickly becomes boring and repetitive. There isn't really any strategy involved in the combat. You mash square, triangle, and your long range attack while dodging sometimes to win fights. While every character looks different, they all basically play the same, besides Iron Man who has the most "unique" kit. This makes it easier to pick up the new characters as they join the team, but it makes the non-ability combat super bland.
    The hero abilities are the only real thing that set the heroes apart. Every hero has 3 abilities that range in usefulness. Most of the abilities just boost your damage for a short time or lets you dish out a huge amount of damage in one flashy attack. The most varied in these abilities is probably Black widow, who can stun a cluster of enemies, turn invisible, and then get an electric staff for her ultimate. Every other hero basically just has a damage boost, a one-shot move, and an ultimate which does one of the previously listed. There are some exceptions, but that's basically it.

    The missions in this game are as repetitive as the combat. Most of the time, you go to some big factory or some other kind of high tech AIM building and take down waves of the same bland robots you've been seeing since the first couple campaign missions. Speaking of, the campaign missions were mostly pretty boring. There were 4 really notable missions that I really liked; the opening A day mission, the Stark house mission, the mission where Thor appears, the Tony in Space mission, and the final mission. Those were all pretty damn fun and made me not regret the purchase. However, all of the other missions were decently bland, which is not good considering how all of the post-campaign missions are laid out almost exactly like them. I don't see a point to continue playing the game because of this. Besides to level up your heroes, there is no point. I will continue to play all of the hero updates, but for now I think I'm done with the game.

    Graphics: 4/10
    On my base PS4, this looks like a late PS3 game most of the time. During combat, the screen is completely blurry and fuzzy. It's sometimes hard to tell whats going on thanks to the millions of projectiles being shot at you from all directions at 20 FPS, and that's another problem. There are CONSTANT frame drops, even during cut scenes. I have never seen a game released in the past 2 years look and perform this bad. Textures also pop in and out randomly. In almost every cutscene, there is a very obvious texture that is not loaded in. I even had a glitch where Captain America's face flapped all over the place when talking, making a serious moment of the game make me laugh at how weird Cap looked. When the very rare moments come when this game does run well, it looks okay. Nothing super impressive, but passable for this late in a console generation. I have seen some PC clips and the game looks amazing most of the time. (I would have gotten it on PC if it weren't for Spider-Man...)

    Other Notes and Nit Picks:

    1. The micro transactions in this game seem useless. They're there only to get impatient people to buy skins they can unlock by playing.
    The cosmetics in this game are not the greatest. I only really like the pre-order skins and the final mission skins that make everyone look badass. I do not have any incentive to finish each heroes "battle pass", the skins just aren't that appealing to me.
    The nameplates and emotes seem very out of place. You see the nameplates only in the menus and the lobby, yet they're things they want you to be motivated to get? There's really no reason for emotes to be in the game other than to have more useless stuff to jam into the battle passes.

    2. The voice acting can be a little weird sometimes. They're the same big actors from every triple a game, but it seems like the voices don't fit the characters. Kamala, Tony, and Bruce have passable VA, but the other characters just sat weird with me. Same with the character designs, they just look like knock offs of the MCU actors.

    Overall, this game is a disappointment. I expected more from Square Enix. This game really isn't anything special, I would suggest only getting this game when its on sale.    … Expand

    Amazing Game. Everyone should definitely try it. Microtransactions are not necessary at all in this game. And all upcoming DLCs will be free. The campaign will have a second part and the first one was more than amazing. The graphics and the gameplay are awesome !

    This game is the game every Marvel fan wished for. And I can’t wait for future updates !

    The combat is originally repetitive until you put a lot of time into getting any single character up to a noteworthy level which is frustrating. The issue lies with if you like to progress a specific character then the rest of your party will be lacking. Companions can become virtually useless and causes you to have to play at least four characters consistently to have them come to their full potential.

    Overall not worth a $60 prices tag but definitely worth a play with friends if you happen to come across it.    … Expand

I was a little bugged by Nolan North being in the game seeing as he usually uses his Nathan Drake voice in everything but surprisingly didn’t bother too much I thought Laura Bailey did a good job with Black Widow but Captain America easily the worst acted character in the game for him speaking completely took me out of the immersion.     I enjoy the game. I've been waiting for something like this. The story is great. Its a fun game especially if you're an Marvel fan. I hope they add some story DLC's and characters, otherwise it will get really repetitive. I loved the story but I'm not looking forward to just grinding.

    The campaign was about as much fun as the beta. Missions are the same, and so are structures. Also very glitchy. I was so excited for this game but it reminds me of something on PS2 with character dialogue, mannerisms, and movements. Would not recommend at $60, let alone $20. Spider-Man is hands down the better game.

    This is the worst game I've played since Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5, gameplay is so bad it's frustrating and just not fun. I really wanted this to be good but maybe I'm not enough of a marvel fanboy to enjoy a bad game because I like the characters.

    GaaS problems aside, the actual Avengers feel like cosplayers - there is no diference between the impact of Thor's mighty Mjolnir, Hulk's fists and Black Widow's... poitny glowing sticks. Characters play more or less the same with very little genuine personality and that's perfectly in tone with the bland, generic locations you will visit and the bland, generic enemies you will face.

    So is the story good at least? Not really - it feels like a decent, inconsistent and quite short (barely 8 hours) 6-issue series. There are some fun and quite exciting moments where you get a glimpse of what this game could have been but then you go straight back to the multiplayer prep which the story really is. Most of the characters are well-acted and look cool but the overemphasis on Kamala hurts the game badly - 70% of her dialogue is painfull cringe and the rest is just bland. There are a few convos between her and Avengers members that feel decent but it mostly feels like bad fan-fiction written by a kid who never got any attention in school. There are barely any villains - Taskmaster and Abomination are used for 5 mins each and never seen again and MODOK... is just MODOK, his origin here is cool enough but he isn't interesting as a character. Oh and Monica... you know Monica right? Yeah... Monica's here too.

    Overall Avengers feels like a free-to-play game which should have asked 10$ for it's mediocre story and nothing more (considering the absolute robbery going on in the marketplace - pathetic). New Avenger characters might bring some life into this husk of a game but unless each one comes with his own 2-hour campaign (LEGIT CAMPAIGN, not the half-assed missions from the middle of the OG story), you're essentially swapping skins and that gives little to no additional content.

    Avengers could have been so much more and still has the chance to fight it's way up to being a sort of good game if the devs play their cards perfectly post-launch, but as it stands right now, it's just a bland cash-grab that makes use of the Avengers license to mask a poor Destiny clone.    … Expand

    You will get some premium currency (Credits) by completing Hero Challenge Card or HCC (Battle Pass) with each character. Launch characters has them unlocked for free. You'll earn points to lvl HCC by completing Daily and Weekly Challenges.

    New upcoming characters will have HCC locked unless you buy it for 1000 credits.

    While you are playing the game you get the feeling it could be on of these smart phone games. Every time the same level, some small (invisible) upgrades for your character, countless copies of enemy types and so on. The only difference is that there are no ads (so far) in Avengers.

    This game had the potential to be one of the best games of the year. Don´t get me wrong, I was not hyped but when I heard about it the first time, I thought, this could be exactly, what players want as an Avengers game. But it the end it is just a new chapter of games which are only made to generate money from pointless things likes costumes. I don´t really care if it is not pay-to-win.

    The comics, the movies and the brand with all the characters and stories should have been the basis for a growing game that makes you play it for months/years regularely. Nobody expected a GTA 5 or soemething like this. Just a game where somebody can explore the Marvel Universe.

    When I played it over the last week (got it early) I tried it out as much as possible because I wanted to find the part which creates real value. And for some hours the tactical fighting can be fun.

    So when you get it cheap in a few months and you have time feel free. But for everyone who wanted to see something special, please just be aware that this is made to sell stuff, not to take players on a journey.

    It is basically a summary of what is going wrong with game development and the whole industry right now. Focus on costumes and this one tiny equipment that gives you one point more strength and make money with it as much as possible. In these games you are no gamer anymore, you are a consumer/customer. The more I think about it the more you can compare the game with cash cows like NBA 2k or FIFA..    … Expand

    Marvel's Avengers has its moments throughout a 12-hour campaign but it ultimately falls short due to repetitive sequences, boring writing in some cases, and a lot of performance issues.

    Why hulk doesn't broke shield with slight attack (just for Hulk would be a good and fun idea ) ? This is hulk... the incredible and indestructible hulk.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A very interesting story but yet fails to comprehend what gameplay is all about. It wasnt good butit wasnt bad, had an open world style 'mechanic' that lets you do other missions in the same areas, giving you a silly Destiny vibe to get more legendary gear. They also involve a mission to visit other side missions to gather things for the final mision which in fact, de-rails the main story. NOTE TO DEVS: STOP DOING THIS! IT COMPLETELY HALTS THE PLOT!

    The idea of having objectives meant for multiplayer in a singleplayer reminds us that INSOMNIAC are still superior in the marvel superhero game genre.

    The game seems to stray off the main character further in as you unlock new heroes, allowing you to be completely neglectful of Kamala, which in my opinion is a well written character which was forgotten just to feed the interest of people only interested in the other heroes. The voice acting is alright, it seems to be that they are constantly tired of talking as there is never ending dialogue throughout.

    Some missions offer skins relating back to the Avengers movies, which dont unlock those skins for you if you complete them as it is bugged. Some maps glitch out and cause you to go through the floor or building. The cutscenes often stutter ruining immersion. The companion AI doesnt seem to be targeted much but you do so they are just there to help when you are downed just to revive you.

    The heroes also have some unbalanced powers which can cleave through mini bosses like they're childsplay:

    Black widows guns seem to laser beam bosses so you dont have to go in raw and no rubber

    Captain America is soo underpowered his super ability is the only ability that can do some real damage and you will HAVE to use him on the final boss which is just annoying.

    Iron man same as black widow his range attacks deal more damage than the melee.

    The only good heroes to play for a satisfying game is Hulk, thor and kamala. You will not find the other heroes any more satisying than hulks brute strength, Thors "DONK" from the hammer and his ability to weigh enemies down by throwing it at them and kamalas stretchy arms.

    If you chose a hero that can fly you are going to at least beat 80% of the mission just flying over all emeies and obstacles to reach the end to finish it reducing gameplay hours.

    The emeies seem repetitive, showing different enemies but they all have the same strategy which is to just charge in and hit as much as possible until they die.

    Do i mention its a superhero Destiny game?

    Overall im going to have to give this a solid 6/10 for its story and characters alone as it lacks on everything else and fails to fix issues it shouldnt have on release. I wanted to save the city and have an interesting protag, not do chores for loot.    … Expand

    Overall, kind of disappointing. Plus Microtransactions SUCK in this. While it was great to see AIM finally given some screentime, theres a lot of flaws here that are hard to overlook. Combat is VERY repetitive, hero abilities are ... uninspired. Would not play again, and would not buy again.

You have the entire Marvel universe at your fingertips, with an endless roster of characters to choose from including the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy and villains like Loki, and you make a game in which all you ever do is go into AIM facilities on Earth that all look the same and you just spend all your time smashing some robots. The voice acting is good, but you’ve got the likes of Nolan North, Laura Bailey and Troy Baker in there so of course they know exactly what’s needed. Like I’ve said the story’s a bit dull and it doesn’t give them all that much to work with emotionally. Really feels like this is a missed opportunity that could have been utilised much better in the hands of a developer that didn’t just see this as an endless grinding cash cow for people with more money than sense to spend on skins, emotes and hero cards a la Fortnite. That’s without even mentioning the fact that each character has a battle pass that you have to pay for individually. Such a shame. Needless to say I’ll be trading it in and not giving them any more of my money on pointless cosmetics.… Expand

AVENGERS will last a couple of years, because is totally like Destiny 2, Square will keep adding new content and DLCs.     This game will not make you feel like an Avenger. It's combat system is cluttered while the story and characters just feel cheap. It gets even worse with its repetitive missions/AI's and its cynical in-game microtransactions. I tried liking the game, but it was too passionless.

Her story arch is summed up with the phrase, “Good isn’t something you are, it’s something you do”. It’s ironic because she isn’t a good character. The rest of the story is inoffensively predictable, nothing will surprise you.

    The game as whole is a glitchy mess, the default camera angle make combat unbearable as your camera gets dragged into the ground. Use the wide combat camera in the settings. If you want to know more about how the game plays, go play some destiny and that should give you a good idea. I refuse to put more effort describing this games combat than the developers put into it.

    Micro transactions are atrocious. $20 for a single skin is insane for a game I just spent $60 on. Remove them.

    I’m sure this game will be awesome in a year, maybe we will have another battlefront 2 on our hands. Let’s hope because right now it’s not worth the money.    … Expand

    The game's crashing bugs have been fixed and I give props to SQUARE ENIX for the fast act in patching this up. I have finished the campaign and it is amazing. Even though it is very short it is filled with amazing moments that looked and felt like I was in a movie. I enjoyed each of the voice actors even though some are better than others (for example: Bruce and Kamala) There are still tons of things the developers need to tackle in order to make this game more enjoyable. Once you get to the end game and you start doing repetitive missions for better gear and power everything starts to get boring very fast. The open world missions are a not enjoyable as you have to jump or fly your way to the objective. The surroundings feel dead unless a random group of enemies show up. The gear is by far my biggest let down in this game. In my opinion it is ANTHEM level bad. I still have not gotten the exotic gears but I have already gotten golden gear and I just do not feel any difference. I love the foundation of Marvel's Avengers but it needs a lot of work and fast response in order to stay alive and not die. PLEASE PLEASE ADD CROSS PLAY. If you are an Avengers fan I totally recommend this game if not I would wait for a sale. At this time Marvel's Avengers is a 7.5/10.

    I am trying really hard to enjoy this game and it just keeps crashing on me. It has crashed already 3 times in the middle or at the end of a mission and it is really annoying.     Great main story and pretty decent multiplayer. Gameplay is amazing, but the levels and mission variety is repetitive after a while. Could be an incredible games as a service game in the future, but there isn't much to do once you max out a character.

    It could’ve been a great single player title. The publisher chose to go down the game as a service path though, and those who prefer to play solo need to tackle run-of-the-mill co-op missions. The multiplayer on the other hand is messy, chaotic and in the long run boring. When the developers manage to fix the most pressing bugs and find a way to bring more variety to co-op, this might become a solid game. Right now, I can only recommend it to the biggest fans of the Avengers. [11/2020, p.26]

    This is the perfect example of "Games as a Service" done right. Marvel's Avengers offers up a superb campaign story to play through that is promised to be expanded on in the future. The gameplay may be repetitive, but it includes just enough to keep players interested and invested in the endgame content that is available now to keep this game going until the next step in its roadmap. The possibilities and potential in the future here are hugely exciting.

    There have been plenty of moments during my time with Marvel's Avengers where I’ve genuinely had a great time. But this game keeps finding ways to drag itself down- at times it almost feels like it goes out of its way to do so. There’s just so much here that I can’t overlook, no matter how hard I may try. An unnecessary and broken loot system, a litany of horrible technical issues, uninspired and one-note mission design, and a story that fails just as much as it succeeds- it doesn’t matter how mindlessly fun the combat is, it isn't enough to overcome such a heavy list of problems.
