    Amazing Game. All minutes in game is nice.. Combat system is very very good. The story is very good. Gameplay is very good.

    Fantastic combat! Each hero plays uniquely different and when they're fully upgraded feel truly heroic. Good story with all-star voice acting. The story mode is a bit short but sets up the multiplayer loot grind which is the real focus. Endgame grind/loot is a bit lackluster at launch and the game is severely lacking content but with time that shouldn't be an issue.

Especially with the template from Marvel's Spider-Man just recently to show that a game doesn't have to be particularly inspired if it's just true to its character, this should have been a no-brainer.     Avengers boasts a surprisingly good campaign and varied combat for each of its playable characters, however, a host of bugs and dissapointing post campaign progression hold the game back from its true potential.     Bought this because I loved Marvel's Spider-Man. The combat in that game was challenging yet satisfying. Not so here. First of all, you're supposed to be able to block, dodge and counter, but good luck executing any of those when you're being targeted by turrets, missiles, freeze rays, lasers, rockets and grenades all at once. It's so chaotic, I can't even focus on one enemy longBought this because I loved Marvel's Spider-Man. The combat in that game was challenging yet satisfying. Not so here. It's so chaotic, I can't even focus on one enemy long enough to contemplate what I'm doing. And when you're playing with four people, there's so much **** happening on the screen you can't even see where anything is. So you're forced to either a) mash buttons and unload your special abilities as soon as they're charged in the hope you might survive, or b) run away and use ranged attacks while you wait for your teammates to thin out the soup. It's sometimes impossible to tell what's killing you--the chaos starts and the next thing you know, your health bar is almost empty and your character's saying something like, "I'm not doing so good." And guess how you're supposed to fill your health back up? Yup, by carefully executing moves. I'm in hell.

    The gear is absolutely pointless which makes it all the more annoying when you can't progress to the next story mission because your gear isn't upgraded enough to make the mission not a total nightmare. It's nothing but a tedious chore to have to keep checking the gear screen to make sure you're using the highest level stuff. And when you're in combat, you don't notice the difference the gear makes except that maybe you might die slower.

    One more complaint: the jumping. If you're jumping a long distance, just one too generous a nudge of the thumbstick is enough to send you careening over a cliff, then you have to stare at that loading screen for practically a whole minute before you can try again.

    It doesn't work as either a mindless beat-em-up or as a looter shooter, which is a shame because I like the Kamala Khan character, the acting is good, and the graphics are good. Very disappointing.    … Expand

    I consider it a unfinished game, badly polished, badly done and launched anyway.
    The "positive" points are the controls until good, take 3 platforms, ps4, xbox and pc and freedom in the game.    … Expand

    This game should be SOOOOO much better but falls flat in almost every way. Ironman flies like a tank, hulk is nerfed, same with Thor. Black Widow, and Cap are good. The worst is this is just another money grabbing cash cow that fell flat.

    as all my reviews for greedy in-game currency. This game is bad, in addition to the greedy in-game currency system, it's a very repetitive game that gets boring after a couple of hours of playing it.

    I almost didnt get it because of the negative comments but someone went ahead and bought it for me and thank God they did . I almost missed out. It's a fantastic game I have it on ps4 so I didnt experience the massive bugs folk speak of I reckon the PC folk suffer more of the bugs.     Combat is good, there's this brawler combo-style combat, like dodge, then light attack to counterattack, and there's defensive mechanics. What they could improve on is the amount of skills, currently there's just 3 abilities per hero, that you can augment through the skill-system. And then after level 15 there's even more specialization. In which you choose 1 out of 3 augments to a skill or ability.

    Story is alright, it does introduce you to the characters one-by-one, and force you into playing as one specific character for the story. Once you unlock the wartable, there's some missions, side missions, that you can pick whichevery hero you want. Else there's a choice between 2-3.

    If you think this game is "easy", then you should play on "Brutal" difficulty for the story. And Challenge V for the multiplayer/side missions. I've yet to see anyone BREEZE through on those difficulties on Twitch or YouTube. If you have, please link me to where you have seen, or if you have recorded such gameplay. I'm interested to see if there's any hold to the arguments that this game is easy.

    What this game get's minus for, from me, is the exclusivity stuff, consoles are prioritized clearly. Some movement things, like it doesn't move according to camera, but according to the character, which is a console issue thing when porting this to PC. And PC version doesn't have a chat, and default it's OPEN mike. But the MTX with costumes and battle pass are all fine. You get all characters and content that's coming with this title. So it's the store who will hold this up only with cosmetics. They get a huge plus for that.

    Some missions seems to have the art and assets reused. But this is a solid title for what game is perfect on launch these days? It'll be better over time, right? Let's hope!    … Expand

The story is not related to the movies and starts on A-Day which is a celebration of the Avengers getting a new headquarter and a helicarrier powered by a Terrigen crystal (Mutagen that activates random superpowers in humans that have Inhuman genes / ancestors). Because of some tragic events the crystal is destroyed, a Terrigen mist is created and the Avengers disbanded. Years later superheroes are treated as criminals while an organization named A.I.M. (comic fans will say uh oh now) is tasked in policing and healing the victims of the “Inhuman Disease”. You start as Kamala Khan on her heroes journey. The story itself is decent but some events / twists you can see coming from miles away and there are many out of character moments or characters feel like lesser versions of the originals. Kamala Khan itself is a great character and I like that they chose her (She won me over in all the years). Later you get more characters to use with a good variety. However the gameplay is mixed. There are some annoying bugs, crashes and the AI is not really good. The missions have not much variety and they should have more villains as enemies. You notice the games as a service approach. It is a role model for repetitive gameplay. The loot is also unrewarding as it is the character customization. I expected more and most fans agree. Then there is the monetization. There is so much stuff to buy and there were paid gaming passes for each character. This is a shameless approach and there is no hiding or defending this. The interest for the game is already dwindling towards zero and I read that Square-Enix had lost somewhere between 48 to 65 million dollars from different sources. They also failed in adding more content as soon as possible to stop the downwards spiral as the next (content) DLC was delayed. Even as fan of Square-Enix I said they deserved it. Overall this is more of a money grab than a videogame. Avoid it as it is not worth your time and especially your money.… Expand

    A lot better game than the scores show, atleast in November 2020. The combat is a lot of fun, mechanics are deep enough, gripping story and amazing graphics. Sure the live service wanna be destiny is a bit odd, but the game is a lot of fun. Got it on sale for 29.99, 100% worth it

    Fun to play for half an hour. But the missions are repetitive and boring and the story is dull. Not worth a full game price. Didnt even bother trying the online stuff. Had so much potential but wasted in a Microtransaction focused game. The only positive is being the Hulk but that gets old fast.

    You play through the story of a girl that become inhuman and sets out to make things right.. good vs evil story of coruse, this is a super hero game.. but youll play across this campaign as a variety of characters which is what I love most about marvels avengers.. its cast of charcters stop this game from getting as repetitive as it would have without them… the campaign is very linear feeling like an interactive movie with dashes of collectables for you to find, but again the gameplay isn’t deep enough for me to even care about that, I was focused souley on getting hrough the campaign, and I actually enjoyed my time.. getting to play as different avenger members, all with their own unique feel and play stylethis made fighting these repetive and boring enemies not so repetitive and boring, unlocking new abilities for my avengers, finding different items to equip them with to boost their stats… these things are all great.. sadly though the gameplay agin isn’t deep enough for any of it to really matter outside of leveling up and unlocking new moves.. so it really comes down to this marvels avengers should be viwed more as a single player experience with co optional content… because if you play this strictly for the multiplaer aspect youre going to be disappointed.. that being said.. the campaign wont blow you away either.. not a lot of crazy moments or cool levels, the campaign is definitely lacking on creativifty, but it does switch up the charcters enough to not overstay its welcome, and because of this, it was enjoyable, even the story was enjoyable and that’s coming from someone that hasn’t seen any of the marvel movies… so the ip isn’t all that made me enjoy this game…
    Marvels avengers is far from game of the year, but this is a nice refresh for the marvel universe in the gaming world,

    Not at all worth your time despite an incredibly robust combat system. Nonexistent mission variety, lacking enemies and a humiliating lack of early-to-late game content leave this feeling more like a sixty dollar fangame than any AAA title.

    Um jogo simplesmente magnífico como a Marvel nos habituou nos filmes o problema é os bugs quando trocamos os personagens por alguns segundo mas isso não faz mal porque a campanha é muito boa principalmente para jogar com amigos e fazer lives para os criadores de conteúdo

    After 2 months this game is a massive failure. Nowhere near all the hype and EVERYTHING CD and SE promised will not be available any time soon. Copy and paste content. Repetitive mission type. Broken matchmaking, corrupted save games with real money credits not being addressed by the devs. Generic and overpriced skins. No roadmap nor new content coming soon.

It's just so hard to stay with the story, especially when signposting is not the best and the main hub is wonky. I can't speak to the multiplayer, but the game is just below average, overall. I hope Crystal Dynamics goes back to focusing on games like their Tomb Raider series, because this is maddening.… Expand

The campaign had me hooked from the jump and I’m not ashamed to admit that there were moments here and there that the story got to me and I did cry lol. For those complaining about loot and gear grind... the grind is substantially less than games like Destiny or Warframe, and the new loot you do get and use, makes a meaningful impact into the way you can play your character or cause you to completely reevaluate the way you play and adapt to another playstyle. Yeah, you might be playing some of the same warzones or missions, but by the time you replay them, you’re more powered up, you have different skills, and different gear. No mission really ever plays the exact same and I just love every moment I play this game because I get to see all my superhero fantasies come alive with Hulk smashing his way through everything, Tony flying around and blasting enemies with his lasers mid-combo, and Cap throwing his shield and then throwing a few punches before it comes back to him. The only con I have is how pricey some of the cosmetic items can be, but there is in-game currency (units) you earn to be able to buy those so it’s not like you have to use any real money. It is a bit more of a grind to collect enough units for the real amazing looking costumes or emotes, but when you’re having this much fun, WHO CARES?… Expand

    Ms Marvel just does not cut it. She's full of the cheesiest quips that add absolutely nothing to the experience and she has the most boring super powers where you're literally just spamming the same button over and over to attack. Out of all the characters, she was by far the least fun to play as.

    Characters/Interactions: 6/10
    Aside from Ms Marvel (and maybe Hulk too), the rest of the Avengers were actually a blast to play as, Iron Man being my definite favorite. Flying around using Tony's blasters and lasers was the most fun I had playing this game. Black Widow was awesome too with her dual-pistols and impressive melee combat. Cap's shield was pretty fun to throw around for a bit. Thor was not bad, but no different than playing as Kratos in GoW. Almost every attack was the same, the only difference being that Thor can fly. And playing as Hulk was basically just jumping in and spamming the attack button over and over. zzzzzzzzzz

    There are actually some pretty cool action sequences throughout this game. The ones that stand out are the Golden Gate scene at the beginning and some of the final battles towards the end of the game.

    Gameplay: 5/10
    Like I said above, playing as Iron Man was a lot of fun. The rest of the game? Ehhhhhhh not so much. The gameplay just mostly felt like a watered-down version of Marvel's Spider-Man. Where Spider-Man excelled in its gameplay (which was excellent all around), Avengers really fails. The combat feels clunky, the finishers are unimpressive, and it just doesn't flow as smoothly as you'd like it to. And don't even get me started on the looting. It might be the most pointless looting system I've seen in years.

    Just make it an Iron Man game and lets call it good. ;)

    This game had so much potential, it's got great graphics and sound but apart from that its a mess. Please dont waste your money even if you find it in the bargain bin. I quit after the first half an hour, trust me, you will too.

    I couldn’t finish it. I wanted to, it was sorta interesting to see where the story goes, but the gameplay... is just so.... damn.... boring! Game design is awful here, I was almost making myself play the game. Couldn’t stand it, had to delete, it brings no joy, it’s as if someone in the development team was trying to suck all the fun out of gameplay on purpose :(

    -The story all the way through the game including the side quests feels like a rollercoaster that eventually falls flat.
    -The visuals can be great at times but dont really hold the game up with its lackluster elements.
    -The music flows really well however, the soundtrack I found very fitting.
    -The additional content felt forced filled with ads and not very exciting to work towards.
    -The combat system felt highly flawed, enemies felt overpowered at times and the heroes felt quite literally the opposite.
    -The gear not changing appearances was also highly frustrating.
    -The fact alone I had to force myself through the 12+ hours of this game was agonizing,

I was actually pissed they basically threw her into the spotlight but the way they did the story really does her and the storyline justice. The game has its typical launch bugs but nothing on my end that are fallout 76 bad.     -Stale predictable writing, not uncommon and somewhat expected in a super hero game, but still a let down.

    -Gear progression is completely useless. While you are under power level 130, nothing you find matters, because gear drops are based on power level, so you spend ALL of your leveling time simply puting the biggest power number items in to their appropriate slots. Even if it drops your stats and you lose good perks, they're all meaningless because it is a race to 130 power level and you need the good gear to drop. They couldn't have made leveling a character more boring even if they tried.

    -Repetitive. Yes, these type of games are always repetitive, but this one sets the bar to a new high. Soon enough the only thing you have to do everyday are the dailies, there are 4 possible bosses... you get 2 a day... They also always come in the same level, and believe it or not, you can get the same boss in the same level twice in the same day. Amazing.

    -Forgot to give players an endgame. You level to power 150 and then that's it, there is nothing to do except grind for resources, that you don't need for anything at this point. There is no raids or high end dungeons to tackle with your friends, you do vaults or hives, which are always the same thing and can't drop exotic gear.

    -Fails at single player and multiplayer, was sold as a multiplayer game first and foremost, so everyone was quick to forgive the short 10 hour campaign that stars the most boring character Marvel has to offer. But it also fails to provide anything to do online as well. This may be the first no player game ever made.

    -Cosmetics, you would think that where they can milk money out of those poor eternally forgiving superhero fanatics would have been polished, but nope, the skins are simple recolors of each other with minimal actual difference in actual models. WAY over priced and incredibly stupid, who wants yoga pants hulk? Or Fabio viking leopard Thor?

    -Empty promises, with every patch we are told that new exciting content will be coming soon, that the now almost non-existent player base will grow again, that the bugs will be fixed. The fact is the game is still buggy, there is till nothing to do and the missions are still unrewarding. Every minute you invest in this game feels like a complete waste of time. Today the new hub was released and the new rifts missions introduced, and guess what? They are as boring and cheap on rewards as the rest and that hub serves no purpose whatsoever. If this was april 1st i would guess it was a joke.

    This game is worth 15-20$ at best and even then with the nonexistent player base i doubt CD will get the GO for much content in the future. This game should serve the gaming industry well in showing everything you shouldn't do when making a game, and at this point the best thing that could happen is for Marvel to pull the license and give it to someone else asap so that we can get a decent Marvel game while the movies are still hot/warm at this point.

    P.S. Whoever was in charge of the fighting mechanic, you deserve better, look for work somewhere else.    … Expand

    Main story is enjoyable but very short. Well, that’s the best I can say about this game. It’s very buggy, runs poorly, has a generic grind for non-unique gear, and is very repetitive. It’s a coin toss if you’ll actually even be able to experience this dumpster fire with all the bugs, glitches, and crashing!

    Personal take: I did the Last Avenger Standing mission from the Reigning Supreme chain, was already on the 11th floor and the objective was "Defeat all enemies", which I did, but there were only four human grunts.     The Loot system is really the biggest problem with this game, most missions are ranked higher than your power level and gear and difficult even on challenge 1, but for some stupid reason you keep getting gear lower than the gear you have on, even the reward for finishing a challenging mission gives you gear lower than what you have.

Your power level and attributes will change mid mission, having an enemy do little damage to you one minute, but his next attack, same as the last, obliterates you. The frame rate drops are atrocious, the AI's are useless, the enemies make no sense, and the missions/objectives are lackluster and extremely repetitive. The developers of this game made it seem like there was much to do in this game, but there isn't. You're literally playing the same missions and levels over and over again and all they do is swap out which boss you fight at the end, stamping a different mission title on the missions themselves in trying to make them come off as if you're doing a whole new mission. The enemies are ridiculously overpowered and you can barely stagger them at times, but one hit from an enemy, sometimes from hits that are unavoidable due to indicators not letting you know an attack is coming, will literally have you tumbling around and getting up ultra slow, giving you little time to avoid following attacks, especially when all the enemies focus on ONLY YOU most of the time, which leads me to another point. This game is pushed off and made to seem like a multiplayer game, yet they force you into doing things by yourself. You'll have missions that don't allow you to play with others, and that's the end-game, alongside matchmaking issues, and mostly being paired up with others lower or higher than your power level, which can automatically revert the challenge level you placed at 4, to go back to 2, then you have to leave fireteam and change things back all over again and try to matchmaking until the right power level players join up. You'll have missions that require a team, like having to stand on 4 different plates around a big room to hack a terminal, but your AI companions won't help you do that, causing you to have to deal with all that's coming your way since enemies seem to always ignore your team and target you first, all while having to reach each terminal on your own to hack them. You'll have vault missions that requires you to stand in the middle but, if any of your AI companions stand on the plate, it won't count, you're forced to stand there and take on many enemies while your AI companions don't fight efficiently enough, or hit hard enough to really give you the necessary support to make things feel like they're there. I've had issues where my entire AI team just stopped fighting and I was left alone, sometimes it's one, sometimes 3, and this all happened this week! There's so many issues, the UI is horrible. They have so many games they could look to in order to figure out the right way to do things, but no, this game just feels so prehistoric in it's making. The loot is horrible, the frame rates, the AI companions and enemies, everything in every place, you will find something wrong. This game deserves a low score. Many issues in this game can't be ignored, and some fan boys will try and say that it isn't all bad etc, but the facts are there and any realistic unbias individual can see all that's wrong with this game. This game locks you out of daily stuff sometimes, despite them saying they fixed those issues, and so much more. Then the cost of the cosmetics are absurd. It would cost $10 of real money to buy one new outfit, and the outfit is just a new color variation, why should I pay $10 to get the same outfit, but in another color? This game clearly shouldn't have been released in the condition it's in, and if it wasn't for the Marvel name, it would've been dragged out just like Anthem was. This game may get better in a year or two, but it's not something one should buy right now.… Expand

First off I'm sure you've heard about the bugs. They range from mildly amusing like watching Captain America's eyeballs pop out of his skull to straight up game breaking. Sometimes it becomes impossible to completeAs a Marvel fan it pains me to give this game a 5, but honestly playing through it and giving it as much of a chance as I could I feel this is where this game really lands. Sometimes it becomes impossible to complete objectives as enemies glitch right through the floor. The campaign itself isn't bad but it gives so much unearned time to Ms.Marvel. Personally I think she is ok, but the way she steals the story from the Avengers in their own game is straight up criminal. You can have some fun with this game switching between your favorite Avengers, but the action is repetitive and gets dull quickly. Also many characters feel awkward and not like themselves. They have a plethora of great villains to choose from in the Marvel universe, but choose literally only three mediocre villains and a bunch of AIM robots. Oh ya and one last thing what is up with the way Thor's hammer sounds? Sounds like he's dribbling a basketball on enemies' faces.… Expand

    This game was such a waste of money. It’s also another showing of companies taking the audience for granted and misleading the consumer. Dropping Spider-Man news that late? Releasing it in that state? This seems like another long con for microtransactions

    I pre-ordered this game hoping it was going to be as good as other superhero games such as Spider-Man or the Arkham games but I was left disappointed and bored within the first week or so of playing. If I’m being completely honest I regret wasting £50 on a preorder and wish I had waited for a price drop but oh well. The combat is fun at first but soon gets repetitive.     Personally, I think the game is much better than people are portraying it. The graphics are nice (although there are graphic issues here and there), the gameplay (although repetitive) can be quite fun and I really enjoyed the short campaign.

    That being said, I think this game is a missed opportunity. Had Crystal Dynamics made a full, expansive, engaging experience (like Tomb Raider),    Personally, I think the game is much better than people are portraying it. Once you beat the story you access a never ending loop of grinding and predatory microtransactions. And this is quite sad, to be honest. This was supposed to be an amazing super-hero game, like Batman or Spiderman. But now, it's a cash-grab clone that preys on the player base. This game will be dead soon. And will not be remembered as "another example of an amazing hero game", but "that cash-grab avengers game".

Loot gear doesn't change appearance, no motivation to equip anything, there aren't any bosses, enemy types are minium, targeting things like boxes can be harder than fighting bosses lol, the Ai is trash, and lastly, Crystal Dynamics drop the damn ball on this. You don't any points for polishing a turd after launch. I really hate people lying, maybe paid reviews saying that this game is amazing. People don't have any integrity anymore.… Expand

    l was actually pretty hyped for this game as l am a marvel fan, but this game turned out to be what l was afraid. I don't understand why devs chose to go Anthem way when they could have made something amazing. Why would l want to grind while l am playing as Hulk? Just let me cause havoc. A huge wasted game.

    While the game has flaws they are quickly being patched out. The release was a bit buggy but this game has an amazing foundation, when all the kinks are ironed out this will go down as a triumph of superhero media

    The story was fresh and nothing you knew from the cinema. Admittedly the endgame is a bit weak on the chest, but if the constant content updates are well implemented, and not only throw a new hero into the round, the endgame will surely be better.
    I'm looking forward to seeing more heroes and will put more and more hours into the game. The only thing I    Marvel's Avengers is a good game.

    Loved the story, combat feels amazing (especially when throwing cap's shield or Thor's hammer) Kamala Khan is a phenomenal character. Given this is a game as a service, this already great game is only going to get better

    They really messed up making this a looter game. Theres so much saturation already in that market. People just want awesome Avengers action. Not to be staring at menus and numbers half the time. What a shame. The combat is okay and the story was short but good. They just messed up so bad making it a multiplayer focused looter game.

    Probé la beta de este juego y me encantó, quizás tiene cosas repetitivas o la historia es corta pero si se juega en coop con amigos se hace mas divertido además de las próximas actualizaciones, estoy consiente sobre los bugs pero todos sabemos que a medida del tiempo se arreglan esperemos

    It could’ve been a great single player title. The publisher chose to go down the game as a service path though, and those who prefer to play solo need to tackle run-of-the-mill co-op missions. The multiplayer on the other hand is messy, chaotic and in the long run boring. When the developers manage to fix the most pressing bugs and find a way to bring more variety to co-op, this might become a solid game. Right now, I can only recommend it to the biggest fans of the Avengers. [11/2020, p.26]

    This is the perfect example of "Games as a Service" done right. Marvel's Avengers offers up a superb campaign story to play through that is promised to be expanded on in the future. The gameplay may be repetitive, but it includes just enough to keep players interested and invested in the endgame content that is available now to keep this game going until the next step in its roadmap. The possibilities and potential in the future here are hugely exciting.

    There have been plenty of moments during my time with Marvel's Avengers where I’ve genuinely had a great time. But this game keeps finding ways to drag itself down- at times it almost feels like it goes out of its way to do so. There’s just so much here that I can’t overlook, no matter how hard I may try. An unnecessary and broken loot system, a litany of horrible technical issues, uninspired and one-note mission design, and a story that fails just as much as it succeeds- it doesn’t matter how mindlessly fun the combat is, it isn't enough to overcome such a heavy list of problems.
