Nov 10, 2011Worst Call of Duty to date. Same exact game if compared to Modern Warfare 2. This could have been DLC for MW2. It's really sad how a developer can call this a new game just to make money off people.

Nov 10, 2011I cannot believe the idiots who have to hate on a great game! Go play BF3!! This game is as great as ever! The game just gets better and better!! I played every call of duty game starting with cod 2. And this multiplayer is so much fun and very addictive! I shouldn't need to waste my time typing this but all you haters can suck it!!
-
Nov 10, 2011payed 60 dollars for a copy and paste game with a new addition to spec ops mode called "survival".... not worth the money. IGN gives it a 9 when it doesn't deserve a 5 score.

Nov 9, 2011its great. this game is very good, it's not a DLC of MW2 the MP has improved over with the spec ops giving the shine it is just as good as zombies and the unlocks will keep you going on for a while and Prestige and 80 levels will definitely be alot of time too., COD Elite is just as good as Battlelog everything is good (MP is a dead heat) and Campaign Rocks

Nov 9, 2011Re-Hashed and regurgetated mw2
Ran through the story line in 1 hr and 25 minutes.
Online already hacked, full of cheaters.
Not worth the 65 bucks. -

Nov 9, 2011After playing all the great games that have come out this year, UNCHARTED BEING KING, This has to be the worst since black ops and mw2. Nothing has changed. still putting me to sleep. COME ON IW!

Nov 9, 2011It's pathetic how they can churn out this game year after year, doing nothing but add some guns, textures and a new story.
I believe "trolls" are entirely justified calling it things like "Modern Warfare 1.3" or "Modern Warfare 2.5" - it is little more than a map pack and it bemuses me how every year people can go out and buy it for £40. -

Nov 9, 2011I love the campaign , but the internet server for ps3 MW3 sucks you cant join a friends game without it saying it on private and it takes literally 25 minutes to find a match. THE SERVER SUCKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!
-
Nov 9, 2011Played it for 2 hours last night, and I'm done with it.
COD4 MW was epic, but the game hasn't moved on one jot since then, nothing new, no innovation. zip, nado. Same lag, same spawn killing, same problems
A lazy product from a lazy company. -

Nov 9, 2011wack wack wack wack, cant believe they are charging sixty for this game, biggest dissapointment of the year. even a mw3 dev is asking for higher ratings on metacritic, so frickin pathetic, who does that? u make shoddy work and u have the audacity to ask for a better score? i guess EA won this war...pathetic.....utterly pathetic, this will affect their next sales, and the mwf series will be over.

Nov 9, 2011Insane!
MW3 is all about the single player and the BF3's single player DOES not compare to this epic hollywood style story.
I wonder what would happen if they make a movie out of this. This is the best MW yet...and it does deserve its hype! -
Nov 9, 2011the most expensive MW2 DLC on the market is by and large a huge letdown, with identical graphics and gameplay, and identical issues as the game it was last year. and the year before that. and the year before that.

Nov 9, 2011Everything in this is game isn't worth the $60 price tag i mean everything new online could have been added with a patch. If you really want to get it wait for a price drop otherwise continue playing mw2
-
Nov 9, 2011A glorified map-pack. There hasn't been any significant improvements made since MW2. This game is the product of Activision's greed not an attempt to improve the series as a whole. Sure, it raps up the story but that's about its only redeeming quality.
-
Nov 9, 2011Honestly irrepressible how easily people are attracted to the bandwagon approach, the general lack of candidness makes me sad to raise children in the "Internet" generation. Glen Schofield (along with everyone else at IW and SH) you deserve better reviews and the quality of the game should speak for itself. Congratulations on a well made piece of modern popular culture and video game history.
-
Nov 9, 2011It's an amazing game I dunno why all the haters are in here but 99% of people at my skool love this game to death so I don't **** know maybe battlefield is doing it maybe some hacker is doing it....I really don't care cuz this game is amazing
-
Nov 9, 2011A great entry in the series which is truly the gold standard for modern war shooters, don't let the bitter nerds fool you. It is basically the same formula but this is a formula that is near perfect and did not need any major revision as it was already a finely tuned machine. There is a huge amount of content here and it is all fun and engaging.

Nov 9, 2011I was a hardcore CoD player when the original MW and its sequel came out but ever since Black Ops my faith in the series have been slowly deteriorating. Don't get me wrong the multiplayer formula is great but it needs to reinvent itself with much more additions than just perks and kill streaks.
-

-
Nov 9, 2011This game is pretty fantastic. I've been playing CoD since #1, and I can honestly say this is a great addition to the franchise. There are games I would get before it, but all the people who submit a 0 don't know what they're talking about.
-
Nov 9, 2011Rehash, rehash and rehash, that is all Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer have to offer.
$50 is pretty much for a rehash. Same **** different title really... And yet people buy their games, some people just eat what ever **** you offer. -
Nov 9, 2011MW3 is actually really good. They definitely made it more strategic with the different point streak systems and they balanced everything well. Wayyyy better than Black Ops and a step up from MW2
-
Nov 9, 2011the game feels like a mw2 clone.. not worth it.. if your a fan of mw2 just stick to that.. its not worth the 60 tag that comes along with it.. sooo over rated.. pick up bf3 instead it atleast differs from the previous two..
-

Nov 9, 2011An absolutely amazing game with lots of great additions. Spec Ops can't wait especially for Survival. Strike packages major addition providing really great new ways of accomodating for a wider range of players. Battlefield fanbois stop trolling.

Nov 9, 2011Most of the people who submitted reviews for the game haven't even played it. They're too busy trolling the forums . SO sick of feckin 13 year old- hormonal, whiny kids ruining it for everyone.
Good game, big improvement over modern warfare 2. not just an expansion. If you liked the previous modern warfares, you'll probably enjoy this one too. -
Nov 9, 2011
-
Nov 9, 2011All these negative 0 and 1 reviews are trolls, believe me. I was so hyped about BF3 and after playing it... it's just boring. Campaign was just OK. Multiplayer is... blah, while MW3's is just frantic fun. Long story short, I just sold BF3 and cannot stop playing MW3's multiplayer and Spec Ops.
-
Nov 9, 2011The cow is dry. The milk has spoiled. Bury this franchise. It's over. Dead. Do the industry a favor and don't support annual rehashes. Activision is killing the industry. Don't settle for mediocrity.

Nov 9, 2011Biggest dissapointment this year. The multiplayer looks and plays exactly like MW2 very little changes were made. When playing the multiplayer you may notice some things are taken right our of the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer maps. If you didn't get sick of the second Modern Warfare you may actually enjoy this one if you don't mind paying 60 dollars for some new maps and guns.

Nov 9, 2011Same game being run into the ground. Nothing original. Glad I didn't waste sixty bucks on this crap. And then for activision to announce another CoD for 2012 is just absurd. CoD is going in the same direction as guitar hero.

Nov 9, 2011It's a good game. You can not say its a Dlc for mw2 unless u only bought it for the multiplayer. IW will tweek it with a few patches and it'll be good to go. Quit hating you bf fanboys.
-
Nov 9, 2011Another year another cod, looks just like mw2 with new campaign and new maps. it's a rent unless you have mw2, just play that.
They clearly just want you to empty your pockets out for them once a year, wait its twice a year. I believe activision was wanting to get cods pumping out every 6 months, thats what they said is their goal. -
Nov 9, 2011I was hoping this game would prove me wrong. I was hoping MW3 would bring a lot of new features in the same way Black Ops did. Unfortunately a few tweaks here and there, a new gameplay mode, and the same game engine aren't going to cut it. The multiplayer is still fun, but that's not enough anymore. I'm hoping IW is working on a new engine.

Nov 9, 2011Can't believe I got conned into a 60 dollar MAP PACK, graphics are out dated and it's the same game.. MW = Money Wasted! If you want a real 1st person shooter get Battlefield 3, or get Skyrim, those games are worth it. MW3 should have been $15
-
Nov 9, 2011Really? $60 for a 5 hour campaign and 2 new multi-player modes. Why isn't this $15 DLC? Thank god I can trade this game back in for full store credit, I don't even want it taking up space on my shelf.
-
Nov 9, 2011This is not mw3 but mw2.5! The quick scooping is back well as noob tubers and last stand :-( the ps3 version is bad :-( plus the call of duty elite service dos not work. I wish I could get my money back
-
Nov 9, 2011Let's spend minimal effort changing our game from the previous iteration. Make a new campaign that is lack luster at best. Doesn't compare to the current generation of games in the graphics/audio departments.
Basically just trying to keep a franchise alive with minimal effort, yet charging full price. Pathetic. -
Nov 9, 2011This is just a map pack for modern warfare 2.....and a new campaign.....whoopdy doo....This is enough that that has to be said. ):

Nov 9, 2011This game deserved no hype. It is Modern Warfare 2, plus...... a new campaign and a new game mode. This is unfair to have a yearly game that literally doesn't change year to year. So bad and disgusting that the put this crap out there sickens me.
-
Nov 9, 2011Sadly this was just another rehash of the last 2 games; I honestly look forward to when COD can earn my respect back and not just be another Madden. Give us a new engine a good story and stop charging so much for DLC. Also how can I respect a non exclusive franchise that caters to one console over another.
-
Nov 9, 2011Fun, dependable, familiar. That's MW3 for ya. Nothing "holy-shit amazing". Addicting multiplayer. Fantastic Spec-Ops. Perfectly acceptable single player. All in all, probably around an 8-9 game, but to try and balance out all of the **** giving it 1's and 0's, I'll give it a 10. If you like shooters, this one's worth your time.
-
Nov 9, 2011Lets be honest, this game and MW2 were nothing but expansions for Call of Duty 4. the fact that Infinity Ward and Activision think they can just repackage the same game year in and year out is SAD! the game looks bad being run of an older game engine, and plays even worse. All thos big name game sites were clearly bought off by the two companies. THIS IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!

Nov 9, 2011Activision is getting what they deserve, this is what happens when all you care about is money. I've played cod 4 and mw2. They were pretty good but after releasing a game every year they went downhill for me. I haven't payed them a buck since.
-
Nov 9, 2011Same game every year. Same press forward to win gameplay, nonsensical story, multiplayer that encourages time played over skill, etc. Enjoy your 20+ pieces of dlc cowadoody children.
-
Nov 9, 2011Great game ! Will spend countless hours on it just like the rest :)I The multiplayer. Is as intense as it has always been. When I bought this I knew what to expect for it is MW3 and if it was all changed around it wouldn't be modern warfare ;)

Nov 9, 2011Call of Duty is a franchise that gamers love to hate. Regardless, even though I am NOT a Call of Duty fan, developer Sledgehammer Games has created a worthy game for a franchise that annoys me entirely. Even though Activision may be money hungry, the studio who created this game deserves way better respect than this.
-
Nov 9, 2011I went in expecting very little and was still disappointed. Added nothing to the pre-existing formula so this gets a 0 for being a carbon copy of Modern Warfare 2, yet still asks you for $70.

Feb 10, 2012There's a tangible insistence from gamers that this series needs to evolve, but it seems unwarranted when it still leads the FPS class. The engine's definitely in need of an overhaul, but when it comes to thumping set-pieces and addictive multiplayer design, Modern Warfare 3 is still in a league of its own.
-
Feb 1, 2012By sticking to the series' strengths, Modern Warfare 3 delivers some of the best competitive, cooperate, and single-player shooting in the business.
