    AMAZING!! Believe NONE of the bs naysayers here. Odds are high that none of them even played this masterpiece.

    It's exquisite. Deep RPG, hard hitting combat, incredible story, questing beyond anything you've ever seen, beautiful graphics. Performance at 30fps on console feels much better than expected and on pc at at 75fps-90fps frames is like butter. As typical, Bethesda has hit this    AMAZING!!     Got through the main story a bunch of side missions and man, this game feels great, plays great, looks at it's best awesome.

    So much thought and love was put into it 10/10.

    Loving the game, works great on my PC and I think it will provide many hours of fun like Fallout and Skyrim did. It's a space adventure, not meant to be a space sim as some uninformed people think.

    Haven't had this much fun with a rpg in a long time. What I especially like is the attention to detail. Seriously, whoever was in charge of the design should get a raise.

    It throws you in the deep end of a very deep pool and does a great job of letting you play the way you want. I had over 16 hours in before even starting the main quest. The modding community are already popping off, a 9/10 for me but giving it 10 because of the review bombing gremlins.

    Insanely well polished and fun game by Bethesda and Microsoft Studios. I recommend giving this a try on Microsoft Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

    PlayStation players can't stop crying about the amazing game that Starfield is, they did this with Tears of the Kingdom and Elden Ring but it will never take away that pain.

    Starfield is a game you can create your own story, you can be a mercenary, pírate, hero, Explorer, Police. Anything you want is posible. This is the game of the game of the generation not for the score but for the amount of hours and days People will be ejoying it. 10/10 for me

    Gameplay and visuals are all major upgrades over previous installments.

    If you like Bethesda games you will love this one.

    Brilliant game! Wasn’t sure I could have the same experience as when I put 200 hours into Skyrim but I’m 30 hours in and can’t put it down. I had purchased God of War recently which I also thought was very good but it won’t get touched now for a long time. There are a few little bugs etc but pretty sure they will get ironed out but Starfield is an immensely satisfying experience.

    Sensational game, graphics and setting are excellent, details of items in inventories and weapons. He took very good care of the ships too. It's a classic Bethesda RPG, not a game for everyone. For me it's 10 for the immersion it provides to the player!

    The game is really addicting. Can't stop playing. It's more like 8 out of 10, because there are some annoying bugs and some not so polished mechanics, but the fun factor is 10 out of 10.

    If you like Bethesda games, you'll love this one. I'm about 30 hours in and have only completed a few main story missions. The faction quests and side quests are so deep and detailed I might never get to the main story! I've had about 5 different jobs so far on my playthrough, I can't get over how much content is in this game.     Another common complaint I heard was "The game world is empty procedurally generated garbage". Seriously? Does this really need to be explained? For 5-6 years, any development team can physically work out a map (so that it is filled with interesting activities per square meter) approximately the size of Skyrim or Fallout 4 - this is 9-15 square kilometers, since people's time and forces are not unlimited. In Starfield, we don’t have a single map like in Skyrim or F4, but there are planets, it turns out that a conditional map of 15 square kilometers is divided into zones, these zones are separate well-designed planets, it’s easy to count them in the game, it won’t be so a lot of.
    Everything else (1000 planets) is just an entourage with procedural generation and the illusion of an infinite space, so that there is no dissonance like in the same Mass Effects, where there were conditional 4-5 planets (just the same ordinary limited locations) and that's it, nowhere else even theoretically you can't fly.
    So did anyone seriously expect the game will have 1,000 hand-crafted planets?
    Do I need to say that all these claims look absolutely stupid and childish? People came up with a dream game that no one promised them - A huge RPG with 1000 hand-crafted planets, Star Citizen, No Man's Sky and DOOM in one bottle, and when they didn't get it, they accused the developers of lying and labeled the game as a failure ... probably forgetting that only Star Citizen (in which, by the way, there is practically nothing else besides good space flights and resource collection) has been developed for 13 years and has not yet been released ... That's the essence of the absurdity - people demanded that Bethesda make a dream game in 6 years, which actually takes 5000 years to develop...
    Returning to the game itself, I can safely say that this is the most ambitious and incredible project from Bethesda, in which almost all aspects and mechanics have been improved compared to their previous games, which in turn were masterpieces and improved radically - graphics, lighting, animations, physics and facial animations - all of this has been taken to a whole new level. The style of the game, all those dashboards, computers, buttons and switches, is pure ecstasy for fans of science fiction. And this is only talking about the visual part, and in addition to this, you will also find a huge RPG game with exciting quests and many additional mechanics, such as building your own ships and outposts. This game is very meditative, unhurried, in which a huge emphasis is placed on immersion and getting aesthetic pleasure from the very stay in this world, and if you like games like RDR 2 or Death Stranding, you will definitely like Starfield, although they are different in genre games, but in spirit they are very close.
    Starfield is an amazing game, the best Bethesda game so far and yes it's not perfect, but show me the perfect game without flaws, the answer is simple, games like this just don't exist in our world.    … Expand

    Outdated game that look like it could launch on late X360/early XOne consoles. Literally no excuse for it being 30 fps. Everything is limited, there's no promised freedom. It's a sad joke, not a "game of the generation". Overhyped trash.

    Should there be more bug fix? Definitely. Should there be more optimisation? Yes. Will Mods make the game better and allow players to play in the game they want? O man, will they ever.

    So for now it is a solid 8/10. And once the mod is fully out and the game is further optimised and bug fixed, it should be a solid 9/10.

    And for those who think (or pretend to think) that this is a space sim instead of a space cowboy RPG (if you argue that this is RPG lite I will grant you the point), you really need to go rinse your ear and learn to read and listen.    … Expand

People who were mislead, you ask? Yes:    No spoiler review other than how the game is supposed to be structured (if you should focus on main quest or sidequests). Contains things discussed prior to release.

    First things first: this game is a "textbook critic 8.5" but really a 7.5/10, so why a 9/10? Simple: people complaining about performance issues, haters and people who were mislead.

    People who were mislead, you ask? Yes: one, by Bethesda Game Studios with vague statements about exploration, handcrafted content (this one took everyone by surprise) and, surprise yourselves too: reviewers who gave it a 10/10 after claiming the first thing you should do is NG+.
    I truly think there is NO procedural generation and they truly only meant it was procedurally generated terrains, which is another misleading statement.

    YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING IF YOU GO FOR NG+! More than enough reason to *ignore* every other single side quest, except a few for resources and credits. And, if you get to the final main quest mission you will realize you should have done more sidequests, saved that world and explored your first regular save more, THEN went to NG+, and go empty handed at a higher level to "finish the game". And this is coming from someone who plans to NG+ in stealth until I'm level 150, and then I will settle.

    Just why, you may ask: well, so much for "the most handcrafted content of any Bethesda game". You may find the same caves and outposts over and over which makes absolutely 0 sense, specially when searching for the "main quest items". Makes 0 sense for a game developed for more than 5-7 years. Same as the infinitely small number of weapons or communications (phones, anyone?) for no reason at all, although I confess interplanetary calls might have been too sci-fi.

    Besides, the good things:
    - This truly is one of the biggest RPGs of all time, only put to shame by Baldur's Gate 3.
    - There always is something to do and while yes, most "Activities" (tertiary sidequests?) are a chore there's some which - Great characters, great villains, great stories
    - Choices REALLY matter. Until, y'know, NG+.
    - Combat is unironically fun and not annoying, kinda easy where it needs too, too spongey where it should have not been
    - Outposts and ship building are REALLY good. Just remember to also do some sidequests to get a lot of credits, mainly the faction ones.
    - Exploration truly isn't that bad until you do it enough times to find the same layouts over and over.

    And no, it doesn't excel at anything except for physics without dropping below 30fps, which is unironically incredible. Everything is an 8.5/9 shadowed by the nonsense that is NG+ and lack of good procedural content (I think they only procedurally generate terrain, not layouts... incredible) when they could have justified "going back" pretty easily. They had the opportunity to excel there, and you will see the insanely missed opportunity.

    So yes, my review should be an 8, but just to compensate haters, trolls and people with underperfoming PCs I'm sorry little ones, but I have to do this...    … Expand

    One of the Best game I have ever played. Starfield might start slow but it’ll hook you to the game for hours and hours and sometimes days together. It’s so difficult to stop playing and go to work.

    To me this is a 10/10 and it isn't even close, I haven't had this fun since Skyrim.
    Every night I have to force myself to stop playing because if I dont I can stay up until the sun comes up. Its everything I hoped Starfield to be and more! Skyrim in space!

    The game starts with you as a miner, you touch a relic, you have an LSD allucination and that's it... you get dragged into a group of uninteresting people that you couldn't care less for to hunt some items that you couldn't care less for.

    The dialogues are boring, the way they are acted is underwhelming, if you constantly feel like skipping the dialogues rather than getting invested into it... I would almost say that if it didn't have voice acting it would have been better, reading it into my head would have been less boring that hearing it being read as if you were presenting your homework to your teacher when you were 7.

    From a Bethesda game I expected at least the story to be good.

    Then we have the exploration... which is not there!
    In Starfield you cannot explore space! All you can go is teleport from place to place, you teleport from a planet to it's "orbit", or rather, to a small box with the planet as a background picture, from there you can teleport to another box with another background picture. You can't explore space, all you can find by moving your ship is literally a couple asteroids, you don't even need to get close to the planet or have a particularly cool animation while landing, you just teleport.
    No Man's Sky did, it was the only good thing that game had, but damn was it cool...

    Starfield was supposed to be a huge world for you to explore, in reality the map is smaller than Skyrim!

    Planets exploration is no better, the planets are bland, empty, and once again you are placed in a box, when you walk too far off you need to get teleported to another box on the same planet... not that you'll actually ever explore until you reach that point, since the maps are empty anyway.

    The gunplay is boring, the weapons are not satisfying and for how much health the enemies have there are not enough ammo, you end up falling back to your pistol too often, I want to use fun guns, not be limited by ammo.

    Spaceship battle has the cool energy system, but once you actually get to use it in practice it ends up being more of a nuisance than anything else, battles are... meh, not great.

    The cool thing is that you can customize your spaceship, I mean, not that it matters since there is nothing to do in space anyway.

    Quests are mostly "go from here to there and talk with A, then go there and talk to B, here there are some enemies to kill, now teleport back to C"... it's boring, it's essentially asking you to keep teleporting around, walk for 2 minutes, teleport again. Where is the immersion? Where is the exploration?

    To top all of this off the game runs embarrassingly bad, it doesn't have Ray Tracing, it doesn't look particularly good, and yet it sometimes (in the city) doesn't touch 50 FPSs maxed out at 1440p in a city without FSR2 with a 4090 and a 12900k overclocked and water cooled with 3 rads... seriously? Do I need a NASA PC to play with game?
    At least it stays in the upper 120s in the various planets, which are empty by the way, so I don't understand where the 50% CPU usage and 99% GPU usage is going.

    There are DLSS mods since officially it's not supported, but that's not the point, I can play Cyberpunk at 1440p all maxed out in a real open world map with lots of NPCs, lots of moving objects, full Ray Tracing, Path Tracing and the entire DLSS suite at 120FPSs and hardly ever going down to the lower 90... this game needs some more work.

    NPCs are dumb, but it's a Bethesda game, that's hardly surprising.

    Menus are kinda weird at first, but ok in the end, the map seems weird at first, but once you realize that the game is not open world you end up realizing why it was designed the way it was designed.

    You can have some choices to be a pirate or whatever, but when the dialogues are acted in such a boring way and when the interaction with the world is so limited... what's the point?

    The looting is not satisfying since you don't know if what you're picking up is a weapon, food, medkit, clothing, misc? Who knows, but if you pick it up you might get over your inventory limit, which is a pain. Essentially either you meticulously scan what you picked after getting it stopping whatever you are doing, or you finish whatever you are doing and then get to the boring check of all the places you've already been to. Skyrim and Fallout 4 both had good UIs to avoid this problem.

    This game is boring, and even if it ran well, look great and whatever else, it would still not be worth the money, because it's extremely boring.

    I refunded my copy, and I hope you are in time to refund yours, there are other games that worth your time.    … Expand

    This is not up to the standards Bethesda has set in past games, and frankly, isn't even up to the standards of a modern space game. Flying your spaceship is clunky as well, the controls are not intuitive, trying to move power from on area of the ship to another requires you to be some sort of dexterity wizard. Trying to move the ship as well, I can't tell you the times I've hit up or down arrow to move my ship (like in MANY other space games) only to find, I'm now going above normal speed or at a complete stop (because the mouse moves your ship up and down (ugg).

    But let's say you skip the space portion totally (it is a space game and yes, you have that option...why? I don't know). The shooting in the game is fine, but it's not something we haven't seen 100 times before. The AI is mind numbingly stupid. You can run right up to them and they will look around the corner as you shoot them point blank range.

    Let's talk about companions....the Robot you start the game with is ANNOYING. He is always getting in the way, and breaking emersion. Trying to sneak into a place, well your big robot isn't following suite, he's just standing there with a big bullseye on him. Trying to take cover in a small corner...well he'll stand in front of you (LITERALLY in front of you!) so you can't hit the enemy, then you have to move heaven and earth to try and get past him to get out of the area. The game would be better without the robot and frankly all the other companions as well. None of them are worth the aggravation of having to avoid them once they are on your ship.

    The questing? Well, let's me just tell you the 1st quest I got when I arrived in my first main city, was to get a cappuccino for a woman.....yes you heard right...go buy a coffee. spent 75 credits and she gave me 400 credits FOR A COFFEE!

    I'm running the game on high with a decent computer, 13th gen i5-13600K 3060 Graphic card and SSD HD and 32 GB of RAM. Didn't have any crashes but also, this graphics are nothing special. Outside of the few mandatory "show" scenes in the game, the NPC's (those that are in the game as "citizens") look like they are from the zombie apocalypse, they faces and bodies on them are from straight up 10 years ago. Even when you are tasked with following a named NPC, they can't even get them to walk up the stairs correctly. The one NPC I followed was gliding up the stairs taking them two at a time. It's the small attention to detail like that, a game like this should not be having trouble with.

    I have over 300+ hours in Skyrim, I've played and enjoyed Fallout4 and New Vegas, this game isn't even in that ballparks parking lot, much less the same league. Luckily I'm playing on Xbox Game pass on PC, and even with the game being free for me, It will probably be uninstalled by this weekend.

    There is no reason...NO REASON, to play this game over a game like No Man's Sky. THAT is a proper space game that feels alive and has endless amount of content. After being spoiled with BG3, even more spoiled with the free updates over the years for No Man's Sky, this is a gigantic disappointment and one of the most disappointing game releases for a game I was looking forward to I can remember. It's so bad, it's honestly making me question if Bethesda can recapture the magic of Skyrim in the next Elder Scrolls Game, or if this is a sign of things to come.    … Expand

    I am very fortunate to have a PC that runs the game with no problems. The side quests are engaging and interesting and the locations are beautiful. Already have nearly 40 hours, and I feel like there is still a spot of content to experience.

    This game is a Bethesda love letter to the fans and if you like Bethesda games then you'll LOVE Starfield. Game of the decade in my opinion.

There are so many things to do, and the writing is great, I haven't encountered a bland side quest in all of my playtime. Standing on different moons and planets in our own solar system is something I have always wanted to do, let alone have a full Bethesda RPG to play on it. And that is just one of a 100 systems.     Most side quests have tons of content and very good stories. The main campaign is interesting and fleshed out. Gameplay is a lot of fun and many times I just get lost in the exploration. And the skyboxes are the best in any game, hands down. I have never felt like I was on another world like I have in this game, it just felt accurate to a good degree.

    I have nit picks about improvements: better water physics, space walking and underwater exploration can add a lot to the game (but that's what mods are for).

    Overall, this is the game I will be playing for years, and I think many others will do. Hate on this game all you want, but you will have to do it for a long time. Eventually, this game is going to get the recognition it deserves    … Expand

    Game is probably only deserves 9 - 9.5 but since I hate the negative review bombing it is getting from people who have never played it I gave it a 10. NPC movements are a bit stiff, the maps suck but otherwise it is a darn good game. Tons of content. I have been playing it a unhealthy amount and feel like I have barely scratched the surface. I would write more but I want to get back to playing

    The game has its drawbacks, especially in the form of underdeveloped large cities. However, everything else in the game is fantastic, captivating for hours on end, and sparks a strong interest in playing. Exploring the planets in Starfield is pure bliss.

    This game is not perfect but it is very good. I wanted a better ending, a better exploration with ships, a better campaign, but who cares. Everything else is very good and I enjoy it immensely. Going to 70 hours of gameplay and happy, more than anyone else this year.

    The Framerate is horrible.
    A 1070 can NOT handle 30FPS on low settings.

    6. I got Stuck at Dialog, Sarah talks to me about barret paying for repairs and wake, and never says anything after first dialog. And everytime I'm in the ship she automatically starts dialog, and get me stuck, So i had to disable her.
    7. My character keeps falling in place.
    8. Grav Dash bug camera.
    Hoping for a Day 1 patch that fixes all of it. (I guess I'm hoping too much)

    The performance is crap, I run crysis 3 remastered and cyberpunk 2077 with Ray Tracing with for FPS than this.

    Lots of choices for roleplaying like smuggling contraband, robbing ships, resolving situations peacefully or by force, stealing ships, bounty hunting, surveying planets, and many other choices

    The graphics are the best Bethesda has ever done, in a lot of instances they rival and sometimes surpass other titles

    Planets are really diverse with different color pallets, biomes, flora, fauna, resources, and gravity!

    Each major city and settlement is highly detailed with their size, lots of citizens, and small stories

    All of the cities are diverse and unique from the bustling city of New Atlantis to the space wild west styled Akila City

    Ship customization options are staggeringly plentiful and good

    Outpost building is pretty good and is completely optional so it doesn't sacrifice the quality of the game

    The procedural generation on the planets doesn't get in the way of the game's quality in my opinion

    Locations in procedural areas and planets are selected from a library of handcrafted locations, quests, and characters and then placed in the world, which is good

    So much potential for mods like adding the Pelican from Halo or the Normandy from Mass Effect and so much more!

    Cons:

    There are loading screens a plenty, but in my personal opinion it's a small price to pay for the interactivity of the world and other things

    The art style shines in a lot of areas but also looks kind of bland in a lot of areas too

    Exploration is okay but not as good as previous Bethesda titles

    There are bugs and glitches often but not to the point where the game is unplayable and there is nothing game breaking Piloting a ship is okay but it feels pretty sluggish and slow A couple of dated elements of the game like windows not shattering when you shoot them or no crouch detection Strangely there is no map when you're on the planets, I mean come on the game is in the year 2330 Verdict: 9 out of 10    … Expand

    Having played Starfield for over 60 hours now I can say that this is by far my favorite Bethesda game and even with the multitude of flaws this game has, it is not a bad game. The quest design, dialogue, combat gameplay, and roleplaying are all leagues better than their previous attempts and while I understand seeing these aspects falling short of games like BG3, it is incredibly dishonest to even so much as insinuate that these aspects are worse than they were in Skyrim or Fallout 4.

    It feels like a good portion of the negative outcry is coming from a section of fans that either did not play the game, did not play it enough, or simply don't actually like Bethesda games. Of course a lot of the criticism is deserved, but to act as if there are zero redeeming qualities to Starfield is nothing but a joke. I dare any of those giving this game a 1/10 and calling it worse than Fallout 4 or Skyrim to actually go and play those games again fully vanilla. It's seriously not even close.

    As to some of my actual praises of the game, I will say that the side quests and faction quests are without a doubt some of the strongest questlines Bethesda have produced. The amount of choice and consequence within a lot of these quests are funnily enough exactly what people had begged Fallout 4 to be, but I guess you can't please everybody. Combat is good for a single player shooter RPG. It's not the level of an actual focused shooter but given the variety of gameplay in this game I never expected it to be.

    I personally think the negativity around exploration is largely overblown and I genuinely wonder if any of these people have spent more than 3 hours playing games like No Man's Sky or hell, Minecraft. It is certainly a criticism to have but acting as if it's the end of the world is funny to say the least. AI is the biggest problem I have personally.

    All in all Starfield is a quintessential Bethesda RPG. Flawed, long, slow, but the fun is always there if you look for it. If you truly enjoyed Skyrim and Fallout 4, you will likely enjoy Starfield. If you never actually liked those games and only liked the ideas of them, then yes you will probably not like Starfield. If you purposefully go into Starfield expecting a different game, make your mind up about hating it before playing it, and only focus on the negatives then drop it before 70% of the games functions even open up to you -then yeah you probably won't like it.

    But even then what's it matter? 2023 is a wonderful year for gaming and even if you don't like Starfield there are plenty of great games either soon to release or that have already released so go enjoy them! Or keep bringing up Starfield in random Reddit posts that have nothing to do with it, that's cool too!    … Expand

A realidade é que é um bom jogo, com boas mecânicas, bom combate, bom combate de nave, bons gráficos... porém o bom é inimigo do ótimo. Taxa de quadros poderia ser melhor, o game tem uma quantidade infinita de carregamentos ( a cada porta), você não viaja realmente em sua nave, sendo apenas um cosmético, o combate espacial é somente para dar alguma razão para a existência da nave. Os gráficos poderiam ser melhores, os planetas são vazios, a navegação entre planetas é confusa e cansativa, os menus de armazenamentos são confusos, e é isso.     I've been playing for over 98 hours! Entertaining with a lot of stuff to do. Gamepley is very smooth and the sound is perfect!

    Maybe Starfield is not a perfect game. But it is an Xbox-exclusive game.
    I understand where the hate is coming from. Either you hate the stupid UI, the infinite loading screens, or even the fact that it's an Xbox exclusive.
    But it is the best RPG game that I've played for years.

    Comigo o game levou quase 20hrs para ficar bom, e depois disso foi ficando cada vez melhor e agora é simplesmente o melhor game que já joguei na vida, mas é um grande defeito um jogo demorar tanto assim para ficar bom e isso vai afastar muita gente e muitos vão tirar conclusões precipitadas, isso para quem realmente joga, muito review bombing atacando um jogo apenas por exclusividade, parece que falta excluisivos do outro lado para se dedicarem tanto assim a atacar um game que nem vão jogar    … Expand

    É um bom jogo, achei divertido, o combate é legal e as naves também, achei a historia boa mas nem tanto, a exploração é bem limitada mas você consegue sentir um gostinho dos planetas.
    recomendo pra quem curte Mass Effect, é um Andromeda um pouco melhor.

    Incredible game, great RPG. Was not sure it would beat The Outer Worlds, but easily surpassed it in every way!! A must play for KoToR and Mass Effect fans!!

    I fell in love with Starfield. It's my cup of sci-fi and I can't wait to spend the next thirty, fifty, maybe seventy hours here. I enjoy the exploration, the shootouts, the art style, the ship building, and the diverse worlds. I gratefully acknowledge the good optimization and the absence of major bugs. But I can't overlook the flaws. There are bad animations, ugly faces and repetitive moments.[Issue#329]

    In a year dominated by sequels to franchise favorites, there was a hope that Starfield would carve its own path to success. While the team at Bethesda should be commended for taking such a big swing, there’s no denying that the game doesn’t feel like a cohesive work. Maybe continued support and future sequels will make something more meaningful out of a work that is clearly deeply enamored with both science fiction and space exploration. Unforunately, this first launch has had far more mixed results than desired.
