    oversized open world game, the excessive realism is overwhelming for the gamer that dont have enough daily time to play for hours, I would like to thank AMD for the impresive performance delived by FSR2 on the RTX 3080Ti laptop and lookng forward to receive FSR3 update

    The game is just amazing.

    Bethesda has made a breakthrough in the industry. Everything is perfect in this game, a large number of various quests, exploration of the open world, a feeling of the endless emptiness of space.

    Of the shortcomings, only the main plot, as well as the beginning of the game, can be noted. It can ruin your entire gaming experience.

    I think this game deserves a 10. I have about 20 hours in so far, it's amazing that there is so much in this game to do. Seeing what people discover and talk about online makes me realize how little I've even done yet. Very surprised to see the user score so low, feels like it's just something for people to complain about.     This game is awesome. It is fun, it looks good, and it runs fine (on decent hardware). Anyone who states differently is a PS owner or someone driven by pure malice.

    Easily the best game Bethesda has done, especially the New Game+....I would even say the game doesn't even really open up till New Game++. The lack of tutorials, occasional bugs like hard crashing, and horrible UI make this a imperfect game that wont win GOTY like a Baldurs Gate 3.

    But considering I played BG3,D4,FF16, and Zelda this year, I'm still easily putting more time into this. I    Easily the best game Bethesda has done, especially the New Game+....I would even say the game doesn't even really open up till New Game++. The lack of tutorials, occasional bugs like hard crashing, and horrible UI make this a imperfect game that wont win GOTY like a Baldurs Gate 3.

    But considering I played BG3,D4,FF16, and Zelda this year, I'm still easily putting more time into this. I already have about 80 hours and I'm barely scratching the surface.     First the discussion around Starfield has been full of bad actors and bad faith. Is this game perfect? Of course not, no game is. Are there valid criticisms? Of course. But at the end of the day if you continue to come back and look forward to playing it then it is a good game. Bethesda has taken everything they have learned from their previous RPG's and refined it in Starfield. The levelFirst the discussion around Starfield has been full of bad actors and bad faith. Bethesda has taken everything they have learned from their previous RPG's and refined it in Starfield. The level of Role-Play available is great. The sheer amount of quests and things to find is great. Planet exploration could have been handled better. Maybe cut the number of planets to add more unique things to those remaining planets? I know they are going for a more "realistic" depiction of space. Which in fact has mostly barren rock/ice planets. But I recognize it can be tedious. Starfield has the best gunplay of any Bethesda game. All these assumptions that some people had the game would be. Has no one learned from Cyberpunk? Excepting too much from a game will always end in disappointment. Can we pull back, take a breath, and be fair to the game?… Expand

    I can't stop playing this game! It's one of the best RPG games I've ever played. I always wanted a Cowboy Bebop style game and my dreams came true. The level and sound design is very good. See you space cowboy.

It is a graphically super great game under two conditions. 1. You have to have really good hardware. It's a next-gen game. 2. you should have a RTX 4000 card and install the DLSS 3.5 mod with frame generation from nexusdmods, because the game hasA Bethesda game through and through. And a really, really good one. Great, what a super beautiful and breathtaking game world they created there. It is a graphically super great game under two conditions. 1.     It's a very great game. With some minor issues. There is so much to do in the game, it's a great exploration and adventure game, not a space sim and seamless one for sure, but that is a great rpg that takes the best from elder scrolls, fallout and mass effect. You need at least considerable amount of hours to really enjoy it and see all the mechanics and content it has to offer. It's notIt's a very great game. With some minor issues. There is so much to do in the game, it's a great exploration and adventure game, not a space sim and seamless one for sure, but that is a great rpg that takes the best from elder scrolls, fallout and mass effect.     Amazing game. From planetary exploration, to infiltrating raider space ships, to keeping the peace in the wild west, to living fast in the corrupt criminal underbelly, and much more, Starfield is a love letter from Bethesda.

    If you're fan from BGS, you're gonna love this.

    It's not a game to play only for 5-6 hours... the more you play, the more it catches you.

    Really beautiful game npc interaction feels very immersive. Lots of systems to learn but very user friendly. Roughly 20 hours in and feel like there's so much more to see.

    This is the best Bethesda game I've ever played. All year I've been looking for an open world game that allows me to loot and do whatever I want.Starfield and BG3 are the best RPG I've touched in a very long time. The graphic and lighting are one a whole different level from Bethesda. I ran into so many different adventures. And the action is fire.

    We can't let starfield get review bombed, bethesda has poured so much time and money into this game that it's quite frankly awful that people would give it 0 out of 10. Yes it is flawed, there are technical issues, the lack of maps are annoying and space travel doesnt rival the likes of no mans sky, but I don't think any of these things constitute a 0 out of 10.     Good game, nothing innovative or revolutionnary:
    It really is Skyrim in space.
    Gameplay looks and feels better than what we saw during gameplay trailers/teasers, lots of possiblities. Story is not fantastic or bad, it's mid. Quest design, HUD, game engine, RPG aspects of the game look outdated. Optimization wise, it's bad.. can't even hold 60fps on a 3070 w/ ryzen 7 5800X on    Good game, nothing innovative or revolutionnary:

    I played 40hours and I already know that it will be the first game, since Skyrim (2011), in which I'll play at least 300h.

    I spent 40hours exploring planets and discovering this amazing game. If you loved skyrim and elite dangerous Odyssey, then this game is made for you. Do not listen to any critics, just try it. For those who liked Skyrim and or fallout then it a really good game.    I played 40hours and I already know that it will be the first game, since Skyrim (2011), in which I'll play at least 300h.

    Console war is ridiculous, and is kinda sad to see people review bombing py frustated people that didn't even play it.

    It's not a bad game but it has some rough edges.
    i don't like the Inventory, the map especcially in cities and the travelling system.
    Graphics are good but has some weird bugged faces and the performance is not really great in outdoor areas.

    Story is ok, there are nice Quests but also some exeptions.

    7/10 for me

    -Poor PC Performance (FPS dips to ~30fps on my machine should not happen, but in Starfield it does sometimes.) -NPCs    The game isn't perfect, and has a few faults that I consider pretty glaring. But even with this, the game is a LOT Of fun to play. Most of these glaring issues are things that I imagine will be patched out early in the games life. some of the MOST egregious issues include:

    -Poor PC Performance (FPS dips to ~30fps on my machine should not happen, but in Starfield it does sometimes.)
    -NPCs do not react at all if you aim your gun at them, shoot around them without hitting them, etc.

    There are also a few design choices that I are not issues for me personally, but may impact other's decision to buy. Namely, the lack of a minimap (which I turn off in many games anyway) or in fact a functional land map of any kind. It doesn't end up being that bad outside of cities where a map would be nice to see the various building locations. For everywhere else, things are spread out and POIs are trackable via your scanner.

    But outside of these flaws, the game is well written with a great soundtrack, has cool lore and fun RPG Mechanics. I am fully enjoying the game and will see many, MANY more hours in the future (Especially when the modding scene takes off).

    If you were hoping for some deeply intricate space simulation game, if you were thinking of No Man's Sky with more content, if you were thinking Elite Dangerous as an RPG, this is not what you'll get and you will be disappointed. If you were hoping for a classic Bethesda RPG in the vein of Oblivion or Fallout 3, with a space theme thrown on top and some interesting new features, you'll be beyond thrilled.

    I think the story is well made, I think the exploration has good moments alongside moments of mysterious isolation. I will say this: the game isn't revolutionary. It isn't breaking new ground. It has elements that are dated. But I do not require a game to be the newest and best to enjoy it and rate it highly.

    As a final note: Many professional reviewers emphasized "Getting to New Game+ as quickly as possible". I understand why they say this, having done so at their request, but I think it was OVER sold. You do unlock a small amount of additional gameplay content when you get to NG+, and it definitely has Lore reasons to do it. Personally I think it's "the right way to play" (whatever that means), and I think the reason it's pushed so heavily is because many people, like my brother, didn't beat Skyrim's main quest until like 10 years after Skyrim's launch and in the case of Starfield it would be a huge loss to never experience NG+ in the game. BUT if the thought of playing strictly to the main story and moving briskly through the main story upsets you and would limit your enjoyment of the game, then it's definitely not something that should stand in the way of you enjoying the newest Bethesda IP and having a blast in Starfield.    … Expand

    The game gives you a feeling of wanting to play it from its first minutes, hours go by and you realize that you have to leave it for that once, but you can't. The game has that theme, wanting to continue until the end because it is impossible due to its wide universe.

    After 37 hours so far I can say this is one of my favorite Bethesda games yet. I don’t know why people are review bombing this game. If you like Bethesda games, this has a little of everything from the previous franchises with some new additions. I couldn’t be happier!

    Kein Meisterwerk aber ein tolles RPG. Und wer sich über "zuviele" karge Planeten/Monde beschwert sollte mal bitte in unser Sonnensystem schauen, da ist es nicht anders.. einer von 8/9 ist nicht karg. Wer sich auf das Game einlässt und sich genau umschaut findet sehr schöne Planeten mit Flora und Fauna, aber es gibt auch eher karge Planeten die mit ihrer Aussicht auf einen Gas oderKein Meisterwerk aber ein tolles RPG. Und wer sich über "zuviele" karge Planeten/Monde beschwert sollte mal bitte in unser Sonnensystem schauen, da ist es nicht anders.. einer von 8/9 ist nicht karg. Wer sich auf das Game einlässt und sich genau umschaut findet sehr schöne Planeten mit Flora und Fauna, aber es gibt auch eher karge Planeten die mit ihrer Aussicht auf einen Gas oder Eisriesen doch auch schon etwas spezielles feeling haben.… Expand

    I can’t stop playing this game after 52 hours of game time. I am gonna be honest with ya. I have never seen such a beautiful, diverse, interactive game before. The story telling is deep, the quests you do are distinguishing from each other. The are so many stuff to see on each planet. I have spent only in New Atlantis like 10 hours exploring. To say this game is huge is a understatement.I can’t stop playing this game after 52 hours of game time. I am gonna be honest with ya. I have never seen such a beautiful, diverse, interactive game before. The story telling is deep, the quests you do are distinguishing from each other. The are so many stuff to see on each planet. I have spent only in New Atlantis like 10 hours exploring. To say this game is huge is a understatement. The geometry of planets and especially their surface is one of the best I’ve seen in a video game and the casting of shadows is really really good. The ship building lets you build basically everything you desire, but you have to learn it at first. I play on series s and so far I had two game crashes. There are few bugs here and there but if you compare the game with other recent releases games it’s in perfect condition. The gunplay is very fun and it’s like the most FPS games. It’s not something completely new but you are going to enjoy it. The physics in this game is something I haven’t expected to be sooo good. Literally every object you see has it’s own weight and when you throw it , it behaves different. The lightning is very very good, some like it others don’t. But for me it adds to the immersion and the vibe of the game. I have spent 5 hours taking a time lapse video of the sunrise on a planet and it looked so damn good guys. Before writing my rating I saw many ratings in here and I was literally flabbergasted by the amount of the lies I saw. Let me tell you something all these people just want to harm the developers and the company behind the game with their words. Don’t listen to a guy who only talks negative and isn’t satisfied with anything. Those people are never happy in their lives.… Expand

    Of course there are still issues present, as with all games, but a lot of them are being played up massively. Character models? 99% of the time are perfectly fine. The invisible walls around each area is something you'll interact with rarely, with each area taking 1.5 hours of moving to cross from one wall to the next. Base and ship building are both fun gameplay loops, and can easily take up hours of playtime if that's what you want to do. Exploration is very fun too, and while a lot of the barren planets become quite similar after a while, there is always something to do om each planet/moon, with loads of random encounters too, which the same can be said in space. There are endless role-playing opportunities, want to be a pirate attacking settled space? Go for it. A smuggler? Yes, you can play however you want.

    And when mod support releases, the longevity of this game will skyrocket with endless potential.

    Starfield is the culmination of everything Bethesda has been building in the past 20+ years, and it shows.    … Expand

    If you like a classic Bethesda RPG like Skyrim or Fallout and you like space it is probably the right game for you.

    I didn’t encountered a single crash but the overall performance could be better. My PC has a RTX3060, Intel i7 11th generation and 32gb RAM.
    On 2k and high settings I get around 30 to 40 fps.

    This game got me to spend my time playing it. I am currently on 19 Hours and still enjoying it. If you run on a lower end pc get mods from nexus mods to help with performance. DO NOT rely on the bad reviews here since they are mostly from butt hurt ps ponies.

    Looks great, music fantastic, so far no bugs, love adding mods to make it even better, runs fantastic in my pc at max/ultra settings, high frame rate up to 144fps at some scenes, lowest 95fps. Well done Bethesda!!!

    10 out of 10. I love that you can CHOOSE to fast travel or not. You miss out on content if you fast travel, but sometimes it is worth it. Super immersive story, though it is somewhat trite. Not much new in the sci-fi realm these days. The game started out a bit slow, but the freedom that is a hall mark of Bethesda is there and awesome.

    A great game that is likely to give many 100’s of hours and years of game time. The game starts slowly but opens up after the early tutorial missions and blossoms into a really great RPG with interesting writing and storytelling. Gun play is satisfying without being frustratingly difficult. Progression is smooth and keeps you interested in carrying out different activities.     A majority of the criticism floating around is about either performance (which is acceptable, why rate a game well if it’s unplayable) or about very minor complaints that have no impact on the overall experience. If you enjoy Bethesda’s open world sandbox style of RPG, you will enjoy this one quite a lot. At the end of the day, Bethesda games are what they are. No matter what lies Todd Howard tries to sell you about the formula evolving, you know what you are getting into, and the only way you won’t enjoy this is if you have lofty and unrealistic expectations because of the marketing strategy.     Ótimo game, uma pena ter tanto sonysta chorão dando nota ruim só pra se "vingar", minha nota real seria um 9 mas dei 10 só pra balancear um pouco esse estrago feito na média geral por fanboy chato. Lembrando que diferente de exclusivo da Sony que vc só joga no PS (no lançamento), esse vc pode jogar no PC ou Cloud e não fica preso a um console se quiser.

    There's no space trip at all: only hopping from one planet to another plagued by loading. That's why so many early players made fun of this game by calling out "Loading-field." Perhaps it is more prudent to wait for discounts rather than risk your money by trying to play it right now. Certain that this game will be on sale very soon given its underwhelming performance and overpricing.

    * Constant load screens.
    * All the environments feel like isolated areas, ruining immersion.
    * It's a Bethesda game.
    * Many of the "critic" reviews have definitely been bought.
    * Kinda meh progression.
    * NPCs are extremely static (not much life-like scheduling and behaviour).
    * Soulless.

    The not bad:

    * Seems to run fairly well on Linux with Proton/DXVK.
    * It's an uncommon setting-genre combo.
    * It's moddable.
    * It has some potential far down the line.
    * Some environments are fairly pretty, despite the dated graphics.

    TL;DR:

    It's extremely bad as a space sim (play Elite or X3 instead).
    It's bad as an RPG (play Baldur's Gate 3, New Vegas, Mass Effect 2, or something else instead).
    It's bad as a shooter.

    Save your money or wait for multiple patches and mod maturation before playing this overpriced garbage.    … Expand

Though the fast-travel between planets and locations seem kinda immersion-breaking sometimes, the universe is full of unique places, cities and biomes - so it's worth it every loading screen, which is like 3-5 seconds maximum, so I don't know why people are complaining so much.

    It's also fascinating to land on a random planet or moon and see what's out there. Every time you make a landing, the zone is rather huge - no point to travel over 1000m when most planets are pretty much desolate. There's usually four or so landmarks or destinations every time you land, giving you plenty of things to explore while you spend time scanning the environment for plant and animal life, as well as resources for your outpost.

    I'd say it's definitely one of Bethesda's best, considering their sordid past of bug-ridden release. Though, they could use some QoL and just a little bug fixing after the initial release. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you have Gamepass and if you're on the fence, maybe wait for a couple patches or a sale to buy - unless you're as excited as I was to play.    … Expand

    Starfield is the pinnacle of the xbox ecosystem right now and the fact that the game drags you in to want to play more of it is what makes it great. Give this game a chance and you won’t be let down

    I'm not your average player and my review and score definitely won't reflect that. During my first play through, I spent 11 hours going through only about the first 3 hours into the game. I'm one of those players that gets caught up in "Needing" to check out every single loot-able item. So after I clear a room, I spend probably 15-20 mins checking every single item in the room for Lore, Valuables, or upgrades. Ever since Fallout 3/N.V & Skyrim I've become almost OCD about this. This is one of my biggest passions when it comes to Bethesda RPG's. I also love their formula/style and Bethesda is one of only about 3 Game Devs where I feel that "More of the same is Great/what I'm looking for" (Old School Bioware and CDPR are the other 2.) Most Games/Series I want to see a change, I want to see that next great thing in the franchise to raise the bar for the future. However I'm completely content with the way they took Starfield.

    I understand some of the other reviews/opinions and since everyone deserves their own to begin with, I know that my opinions and wants for a game like this are not the Normal, and that I'm def part of the minority. But that's ok.

    My next reason for giving Starfield a 10, is Bethesda gave us another Great platform to run wild with Mod's & End's. I've been modding for over 15 years and there's nothing better than knowing either myself, or someone else can make that change, add that item, insert those weapons etc. This is always a top tier reason for Bethesda games in my book.

    I can get into the Story, I can find the Lore, I can "Role Play" my way through the game and be satisfied. All this also knowing there will be many changes via future DLC & Mods. I can't wait to see what the game looks like 1-2 years down the road..    … Expand

    A lot of people are review bombing this game for illegitimate reasons, mostly angry Sony fans and overly sensitive people who are easily offended by a pronoun option. It's a good game, not a great game, but a good game. If you enjoy elder scrolls or Fallout, you will enjoy this.

    I fell in love with Starfield. It's my cup of sci-fi and I can't wait to spend the next thirty, fifty, maybe seventy hours here. I enjoy the exploration, the shootouts, the art style, the ship building, and the diverse worlds. I gratefully acknowledge the good optimization and the absence of major bugs. But I can't overlook the flaws. There are bad animations, ugly faces and repetitive moments.[Issue#329]

    In a year dominated by sequels to franchise favorites, there was a hope that Starfield would carve its own path to success. While the team at Bethesda should be commended for taking such a big swing, there’s no denying that the game doesn’t feel like a cohesive work. Maybe continued support and future sequels will make something more meaningful out of a work that is clearly deeply enamored with both science fiction and space exploration. Unforunately, this first launch has had far more mixed results than desired.
