    This game is a lie. I enjoyed my 60 hours of gameplay, until I knew I were lied. Since that moment I understood this is just a generic space adventure without any memorable sense or emotion, for me.

    One of the best games ever made. Not quite done with it but loving every minute so far. Massive improvements on the BGS formula which was already excellent. Inflated my score a bit to offset all the butthurt Sony Ponies review bombing the game.

    For a ryzen 3600 with a 2060 super and 16gb of ram run pretty smooth, looks nice feels nice 23h in 2 day just playing and im not close to anything, space its beautiful and the travel its more fun manually with ship than the easy skip that many complain, its an option you can do it the long way and enjoy space.

    I don't get what the bad reviews are. Is this fanboys or what? I've heard that people didn't like loading screens (which game doesn't have them?). Which I slightly understand, but that makes the game an 8 at worst. I'm old school so it didn't bug me. It's flawless. Perfection Todd. You did it.

    And get rid of the false advertisement, marketing that Bethesda sold you like "unprecedented freedom" to explore a thousand planets, that "We are putting you in the cockpit of your very own spaceship and telling you that you can do pretty much anything." (Actually just loading screens when we are traveling unless you gonna spend hours flying), that "Space flight should be EXCITING and dangerous, and you should feel like you're in COMPLETE CONTROL EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. " (Couple of loading screens per travel between planets shows that I am FULLY in control.) and that you could visit any area of a planet and so on. The game is a good game for sure, but Bethesda is at fault for marketing and overhyping it.

    I do agree it's frustrating with the way they marketed it and they should not have worded it that way. If you are a fellow lover of No Man's Sky, Elite Dangerous, or any other space sim games, you will be disappointed. Instead, treat this as a RPG set in Space faring/exploration era with limited open world capabilities (like a bigger Fallout 4 open world map being dissected and separated into different planets with a limited space for you to explore) and the core focus on individual rpg elements, dialogues and story.

    Starfield is a fun game when you slowly get into it no doubt, but being a Bethesda game, as with most of their games, there are bugs and glitches, not as much as previous fallout games, but definitely still there. My first 5 hours or so was bug free, but I started seeing NPCs spasming and clipping through the assets like walls/floors or floating up into unreachable heights once I got into the Constellation first main mission...Maybe that's how the human body works when you stay in space too long. Trust Bethesda on this, they studied it. So as a Bethesda game, forget other non-vanilla in game contents like modders created costumes, etc, you got to use performance/ optimization mods to optimize and make you game work much more smoothly, have better fps and look better.

    All in all, the game is fun if you are someone who love RPGs and the thing is with Bethesda games, they are selling a foundation, a 70-80% polished game for modders and for players to apply mods to on top of it. It's a 7/10 for the vanilla game by Bethesda, but you will use mods to make it into a 10/10 by modders hand.    … Expand

    I really wanted to like this game but when I think about playing I think about all the load screens and fast traveling. I just don't want to constantly be dealing with loading screens.

    Veo Starfield como un Fallout con temática espacial y lo es para lo bueno y lo malo. Los sellos de identidad de los juegos de Bethesda están presentes y muy bien llevados, incluso algunas mecánicas, algo defectuosas en sus pasados juegos, como los tiroteos han mejorado mucho. No obstante, otras novedades jugables, como la exploración por sectores separados, sus pantallas de carga para todoVeo Starfield como un Fallout con temática espacial y lo es para lo bueno y lo malo. Los sellos de identidad de los juegos de Bethesda están presentes y muy bien llevados, incluso algunas mecánicas, algo defectuosas en sus pasados juegos, como los tiroteos han mejorado mucho. No obstante, otras novedades jugables, como la exploración por sectores separados, sus pantallas de carga para todo (aunque muy cortas), o todo lo que tiene que ver con las naves están en un nivel muy inferior, exceptuando su construcción y modificación que si me ha gustado.

    La historia principal te atrapa y te deja queriendo saber más, pero como cualquier otro juego de Bethesda, su historia sirve para aprender las mecánicas generales y servirte de guía por los diferentes lugares principales, donde terminarás encontrando otras tramas y sub-tramas y que en algunos casos por como te llegan (a veces aleatoriamente) y te apartan de la historia principal son tremendamente divertidas y uno de las razones principales que hacen los juegos de Bethesda tengan su sello especial dentro de los RPG.

    Gráficamente está muy bien, es su mejor obra en este sentido. La IA es muy mejorable y presenta los mismos errores que todos sus juegos anteriores y que se arrastran por el uso del mismo motor, que aunque tenga un buen lavado de cara su núcleo es obsoleto y deficiente en algunos aspectos, sobre todo los que tengan que ver con los personajes. La no presencia de DLSS influye bastante en su rendimiento, una decisión cuestionable en PC pues las tarjetas Nvidia tiene la mayor parte del mercado, pero eso es uno de los cientos en el futuro que la comunidad de Mods incluye e irá incluyendo para que este juego termine siendo mejor y más grande que en su salida.

    No es un juego perfecto, es sobresaliente en lo que ya sabía hacía bien su desarrolladora, pero se siente obsoleto y deficiente en algunas novedades, es como un café para los que toman café, si te gustan las franquicias anteriores de Bethesda como Fallout o The Elder Scrolls te gustará bastante, sino te gustan esos juegos este juego no es para ti, porque tiene las mismas virtudes y defectos.    … Expand

I know guys its difficult to understand what a woman's touch is like. But maybe one day you will find someone that isn't repulsed by the the axe body spray "cologne" and actually want to hug you.

    The game is amazing!! However we need to mention the elephant in the room.... really bad optimization and Tod please don't tell me to upgrade when I already have a system better than an Xbox !! With mods however is playable, I think that what I enjoyed the most is the music and the exploration.

As for me, Fallout 76 is still my #1 best game in Bethesda games history and a masterpiece over Starfield. The single player games such as Fallout 4, Skyrim, Starfield are good, but a little boring to me when there’s no players around and feeling lonely, after completing the storylines and that’s it, end of the game then play start all over again, that’ll be short life game. I played Fallout 4 for few hundred hours and that’s it compare to Fallout 76 for several thousand hours. I consider Fallout 76 is the best game in Bethesda games history and masterpiece. I know a lot of gamers are against Fallout 76 just because it’s a “live service” and “about money” but to me Fallout 76 is the best game I ever play.… Expand

    Infelizmente o game está sofrendo o Review bomb enorme, a prova é a nota comparado com a steam, lá só quem realmente teve o jogo pode dar nota, o game é incrivelmente bom e não acho que a nota dos usuários atual reflete o estado e qualidade do game, dúvida de mim? Pega uma game pass e teste você mesmo, você é o melhor crítico para o que você joga!

    On PC it was a better experience as I stated, instead of the 30fps you get via console I hit max 78 fps in certain places with lows around a dreadful 28fps at other times. There were still stuttering in places and the fact I also had the game crash on the Xbox Series X a couple of times and even on PC with a Ryzen 5800 X3D, Nvidia 3060 OC, and 32GBs of Ram… on an NVMe SSD there was a lot of stutter in the game. Now these can be potentially patched out but we shall see. As of now I can not rate this game higher than a 7 unlike certain X users who call people delusional and bash them who rate this game honestly. Don’t buy into the hype yet, wait a few months before buying in.

    At most this game is a 7 but it’s because at the time of writing this review and over 3 days worth of play time I can say it’s not really a complete game, it’s not worth the $70 price tag. Honestly if you get it, just go ahead and play it via gamepass or ask a friend to game share with you. It has bugs, texture fails, the trees in certain planets look like they were copy and pasted from an N64 game… also the water has no splash effects and doors seem to be floating away from the wall… Honestly I can’t stress this enough don’t waste $70 on this title only buy it via gamepass or for $30.    … Expand

    The game is massive, and it's awesome that you can cloud sync the saves to XBOX.

    I wish it had vehicles though, it'd be cool to be able to drive/fly around on the planet rather than just having the boost pack.

    In any case, it's still an amazing game. I'm 25h in and the biggest problem I have with the game is need to go to work and can't play it all day.

    Honnêtement, je ne l'ai jamais attendu comme un simulateur de vol spatial.
    Seulement ce qu'il est, un rpg dans un univers de SF ce que le jeu réussi très bien.

    Ok la synchronisation labiale est aux fraises, je n'ai pas eu de bug me concernant, l'optimisation mériterait d'être revue.
    Avec mon I9 13900k et ma 4090 en ultra 4k je suis à 70/90 fps en extérieur et 120/140fps en intérieur et ma config est une exception, les autres joueurs, la majorités méritent une meilleure optimisation pour une meilleure expérience.

    Bref, n'écoutez pas les rageux qui ne peuvent pas jouer au jeu et qui par conséquent font leur caca nerveux.
    Ils suffit de constater le review bambins de la part des prépubère Playstation.

    Et ceux qui le comparent à Elite Dangerous ou Star Citizen, la comparaison n'a pas lieu d'être.
    En même temps peut ton faire confiance à des gens qui claquent plusieurs centaines, voire milliers d'euros dans une alpha de 15 ans d'âge qui a tout point de vue est une pyramide de Ponzi, le tout optimisée par un stagiaire de 3eme, avec des pnj amorphe et des planètes aussi vide que la tête d'un électeur d'extrême droite...

    Starfield est tout le contraire c'est solo, narratif, addictif et fun
    Pas parfait, avec un avenir légendaire.

    The outpost system is super undercooked, especially coming from fallout 4, and it could've been a lot better optimized. It could also use some ground vehicles, and the walking through barren terrain is really boring on lifeless worlds.

    These are all pretty minor complaints though, and when you consider the scope and quantity of amazing rpg content here they seem pretty minor. If you wanted this game to be Star Citizen/No Man's Sky/Elite: Dangerous then you'll be disappointed, but you'll also be disappointed if you want it to be Mario 64. Wrong genre, folks.

    One thing nobody talks about is the story. I don't want to spoil it but while the start is a bit slow it really goes places I didn't expect - I highly recommend playing the main story.

    O jogo é realmente muito incrivel, tem varias historias dentro do jogo incriveis, e as vezes tu passa horas apenas em uma missão, eu realmente não entendo quem diz que a IA do jogo é burra, pois coloquei o jogo no dificil e é realmente dificil, não como um solslike da vida, mas ainda é dificil, quests secundarias também são perfeitas se não melhores que as principais, tu ta indo fazer algoO jogo é realmente muito incrivel, tem varias historias dentro do jogo incriveis, e as vezes tu passa horas apenas em uma missão, eu realmente não entendo quem diz que a IA do jogo é burra, pois coloquei o jogo no dificil e é realmente dificil, não como um solslike da vida, mas ainda é dificil, quests secundarias também são perfeitas se não melhores que as principais, tu ta indo fazer algo e do nada se perde indo fazer uma queste secundaria ou outra coisa, é bem bacana a personalização das casas também, no jogo o que eu achei ruim apenas é a questo do peso pra pegar as coisas pois quero pegar muita coisa e quase sempre ando pesado, acho que vou ter que por algum mod kk. mas outra coisa ruim falando no tecnico é seu desempenho, roda bem baixo o fps, mas ao menos quando o fps é travado tipo em 30, fica de boa jogar, depois de um tempo tu se acostuma.… Expand

    O jogo é muito bom! No começo é um pouco confuso até vc pegar o jeito, o que é comum em qualquer jogo, principalmente com uma nova franquia. Muitas missões bacanas, exploração e upgrades, então embarque nessa jornada com pensamento de explorador, mundos vastos e cheios de coisas a se fazer, belos planetas e ambientação espacial fantástica. Estou me divertindo muito.

    After playing for the last couple of days I must say, this game has so many mechanics and small details that it deserves praise for it. However, I don't think I've ever seen these mechanics and details vary so much depending on where you look.     The open world does not seem that open to me, I don't know If It's just me, but I don't feel like I am a part of something bigger out there when I'm traveling through the emptiness of most planets in the game, with the occasional spotting of a wild creature that I have seen on 10 different planets some hours ago.

    Overall I would say that this game is a good one, definitely would recommend to try it out in GamePass. I would not however recommend to buy it for the 100$ or 80$ price range simply because I do not believe that it is worth as much.    … Expand

    This is exactly the game any Fallout or Skyrim fan will love. I completed the story and went into new game+. The scenery is amazing and the graphics look great. It runs buttery smooth on both PC and Xbox. The quests are full of lore and places to explore. The exploration is endless. The random interactions you come across are hilarious.     Of course there's normal Bethesda bugs. Nothing game breaking. Just a bit of weird physics and npc legs getting stuck in doors and stuff.

    Runs over 60fps on high settings at 1440p on my 3070ti, and 50-60fps at ultra settings.

    Bottom line, if you like Bethesda games then you'll like this one...after you play for a little while. So get in there, learn how the star map works, learn how to build a ship and you'll be having a blast in no time.    … Expand

The developers keeps getting away with this because of the Bethesda fanbase is too forgiving.

    Let me start by saying I am having an incredible amount of fun, and Bethesda has truly hit the mark with this game. Starfield is a heartfelt homage to classic BGS/Obsidian-style first-person ARPGs that will resonate with fans of these genres. You literally will not predict where this adventure takes you. Any preconceived notions you have from watching trailers or gameplay cannot fully prepare you for what is actually out there to find and explore. If that appeals to you, then this game was made for you, fellow explorer.

    Starfield might not appeal to everyone, but I can emphatically state that it resonates with me, and I'm thoroughly enjoying my time with it. I absolutely love this game. As a devoted sci-fi enthusiast, it checks many of my boxes. Furthermore, it represents a notable and substantial improvement over previous Bethesda games. Make no mistake; it retains the unmistakable Bethesda charm. In my opinion, this is the best Bethesda game to date because it represents the culmination of decades of lessons learned from developing Fallout and Elder Scrolls titles. It fills me with anticipation for future Bethesda releases. The game is also surprisingly polished, which has been a pleasant surprise. I have encountered no significant bugs during my playtime. As a side note, I believe the level of criticism directed at Bethesda and this game is unwarranted. Frankly, I cannot comprehend the basis for most of these criticisms. Nearly all the criticisms I've encountered are unjustified.

    There is so much to do in Starfield that it might almost be overwhelming, but surprisingly, that doesn't bother me in the least. I plan to spend thousands of hours exploring Bethesda's new universe, just as I have with their previous creations. I can't wait to see what lies beyond. I've already dedicated a considerable amount of time to exploration and side quests, yet I feel like I've only scratched the surface. This lack of pressure to rush through content is a breath of fresh air. Nothing quite compares to the single-player experience that Bethesda delivers.

    My System Specs: Core i9-9900KF/RTX 3070/16GB DDR4/SSD

    I've experienced a reasonably smooth 50-60 FPS average while running the game at a high/ultra mix of settings on my 1080p ultrawide monitor in outdoor environments. Indoors, I consistently enjoy a very smooth 80-100 FPS.

    Overall Score: 9/10 - I wholeheartedly recommend Starfield, particularly if you're a fan of science fiction and Bethesda's style of ARPGs. If you have a sufficiently powerful gaming system to handle this massive game, it's a must-play. While I don't have any significant complaints at this point, I refrain from awarding an arbitrary 10/10 mostly because Bethesda made me wait so long for this fantastic game!!! ...which is ironically probably fantastic because we had to wait!     It also helps that for the most part the game is highly detailed and can look quite stunning and for the size and scope is incredibly polished in terms of bugs.

    Still haven't actually finished the game, but for the first time in many many years I can't wait to fire a game up every moment I can. The game gives me the feelings I had when I was playing in my 20s and now I'm 39. This is enough for a 10/10 for me, giving a 9/10 only due to the fact it could have been a better game looking at its technical side.

    This is not a game for everybody. I will say that right now, its an epic space game that makes the most of the tech it has.

    Starfield is not a normal RPG, at its core a pure sandbox, and Space Opera Sim. The planets are simulated, along with an impressive physics and temperature/biome simulation. Each planet that can support life has between 2-12 Hand crafted, original creatures and plants. Each planet capable of hosting life also has several types of biomes, with separate life in each one. Some planets are seriously aggressive and terrifying, with hostile plant life and gasses emanating from it. The desolation and isolation of frontier is broken up by numerous hand crafted quests events and POI's. Countless named and un named crew can be hired for your starship and Outposts you create. Allowed you to play through just about any space fantasy you can have. Minor followers can have very deep back stories, with personal requests and quests.

    The dialogue is emotional, and the game actually reacts to the player in the background, adjusting the story based on relationships you build in the background.
    And once you finish the main quest, that's when Starfield shines brightest. New Game Plus is integrated into the story and even the philosophy of the game. MAJOR SPOILERS: Starfield gives the player a dilemma, they can live in the universe they know, or they can "move on" to a parallel universe. They gain more powerful ships and armor each run, and also there are chances for some "interesting" modifiers each runs. NPCs live different lives, Faction leaders can be different, and you can even get Special rare universes that are hardcore. Saving is disabled and you can only used unarmed. They are beatable. One I seen was filled with different reality versions of my character. in one of them they attacked me because a previous version of me was evil. Starfield is a masterpiece.    … Expand

    Just to fight ps users can't really give a real score with only 17 hours on a game that huge, but for me this is the second best Bethesda gale, people are just haters

    The game is massive, one of the 2023 releases and among Bethesda's greatest. I hope Metacritic implements a feature where you can link your account with Steam so only those who've purchased the game can leave comments.     I fell in love with Starfield. It's my cup of sci-fi and I can't wait to spend the next thirty, fifty, maybe seventy hours here. I enjoy the exploration, the shootouts, the art style, the ship building, and the diverse worlds. I gratefully acknowledge the good optimization and the absence of major bugs. But I can't overlook the flaws. There are bad animations, ugly faces and repetitive moments.[Issue#329]

    In a year dominated by sequels to franchise favorites, there was a hope that Starfield would carve its own path to success. While the team at Bethesda should be commended for taking such a big swing, there’s no denying that the game doesn’t feel like a cohesive work. Maybe continued support and future sequels will make something more meaningful out of a work that is clearly deeply enamored with both science fiction and space exploration. Unforunately, this first launch has had far more mixed results than desired.
