    Site positif de SEKIRO :
    1. Le jeu a une histoire

Sekiro ruined Dark Souls for me. Going back to Souls games after playing Sekiro just feels so rough, and I'm a huge fan of the Soulsborne series with hundreds of hours invested in each game. The combat in Sekiro makes Dark Souls combat feel clunky and boring by comparison, which I never would have expected.

First From Software game I wasn't able to finish. :( Rage quit at the headless monkey boss fight after over a dozen tries. Maybe I'm getting old. I am definitely in the "this is way harder than dark souls" camp. It's not the game's fault though that I failed to git gud. Frigging amazing piece of art.

At heart Sekiro plays more like an unique mix of Soulsborne & Dishonored, with obvious parallels to the Tenchu series, yet combat is so ridiculously focused. Every single encounter is designed with rhythm and personality in mind – once you learn a bosses pattern, you'll be able to dominate him on every following playthrough. You don't just get used to the controls, but rather fully embrace their simplicity and focus. Enjoyed the game so much, I felt the need to 100% complete it immediately. Expand

Still, I kept at it, and the moment the combat clicked, I instantly saw it in an entirely new light. The combat is fast-paced and exhilarating, and every death is just another lesson. In order to build you up into a Shinobi killing machine, Sekiro first has to break you down repeatedly. And the game scales the difficulty as you go, making sure that there's always a new challenge to throw yourself at. The graphics are absolutely beautiful, and the story is also rich and compelling. Sekrio: Shadows Die Twice is a masterpiece worthy of recognition, and anyone who is up to the challenge should play it. Expand

    + Fun boss fights.
+ The game rewards you for exploration.
+ Japanese voice acting in this game is top-notch.
+ Lots of varied areas and enemies. You will fight humans, monkeys, monsters and more monkeys. Lots and lots of monkeys.

+- The game is very fast-paced. This is alright once you get used to it but might feel too hard while playing the game for the first few hours.
+- Some soundtracks were fun to listen to. Some were "ok".

    - While I like challenging games, this game felt too punishing. Getting hit two to four times while fighting bosses means you are dead. Moreover, some attacks are fast and will one-shot you which is something I haven't encountered in From's previous games. One-shots have always been clearly telegraphed in their previous games (remember Lorian's beam in DS3?) but for some reason they did not follow the same rule in this game.
    - It can take a long time trying to beat some bosses/mini bosses only for you to get killed for getting hit twice. Meh.
    - Headless.

Sekiro challenges your patience, reflexes, and muscle memory. Once you overcome the hurdle that is relearning how to approach FromSoft's games, this game gets easier. It's no small task though, as I got pummeled until forcing myself to play this for what it is. A fast paced action game with unequaled and unforgiving satisfaction derived from combat.

It's all awesome. The fighting somehow suits me much better than earlier soulslike. I'm a shinobi god! It feels good. The parrying makes all the difference, and I like not having to agonize over whether I use the right items on the right armour. Not all souls-fans will agree, and that's ok. For me, this is the ultimate game.

There’s no leveling (in Soulsborne sense of the word), no covenants, no multiplayer, no variety in armor and weapons. It could be written off a stylistic choice, if the rest of the game didn’t feel very similar to the previous FromSoftware games. But it does, so Sekrio comes across as rather shallow. Sekiro Shadows Die Twice is a milestone in the genre. It offers complex, stunning and precise sword fights and duels that its predecessors lacked, and from which its successors will have to keep up with. You no longer simply learn by repeatedly and unfairly dying, but you refine your talents as a player. You seek unique methods to overcome each boss, rather than just rolling at the right time before spamming a few hits.

Dozens of hours later, we're still not sure how we feel about it. It's a game of contradictions, open and flexible in its level design, yet resolutely strict in its combat... It is a brilliant game, that is certain. but it is often a difficult one to truly love. Naturally, we can't put it down. [Issue#332, p.104]
