Jun 17, 2021This game isn't for everyone but I do enjoy a challenge and this is as good as gets.

Jun 17, 2021Sekiro is an example of a masterpiece in art form of video games, and this is a fact.

Jun 17, 2021Sekiro ruined Dark Souls for me. Going back to Souls games after playing Sekiro just feels so rough, and I'm a huge fan of the Soulsborne series with hundreds of hours invested in each game. The combat in Sekiro makes Dark Souls combat feel clunky and boring by comparison, which I never would have expected.

Jun 17, 2021As difficult this game is it's a really fun and adventurous game. Parry this you casual.

Jun 17, 2021Overall, this game is hard, this game requires skill, commitment, time and the ability to adapt, and is not overly compatible to players who looks to play casually. Great game.

Jun 17, 2021Hesitation is defeat... Still one of the best and easily most challenging game I have ever played. 10/10 masterpiece.

Jun 17, 2021Huh, SEKIRO what a game that was !! So, is Sekiro as good as souls borne ? No, its better.
-
Jun 17, 2021First From Software game I wasn't able to finish. :( Rage quit at the headless monkey boss fight after over a dozen tries. Maybe I'm getting old. I am definitely in the "this is way harder than dark souls" camp. It's not the game's fault though that I failed to git gud. Frigging amazing piece of art.

Jun 17, 2021This game was beyond intense. I've been playing video games for nearly 30 years now and this is without a doubt one of the hardest games I've ever played.

Jun 16, 2021What an amazing game. It's difficult at the start but once you grasp the combat in this game you will be able to defeat the bosses.

Jun 16, 2021FromSoft and Miyazaki showing the world how to make games. Best stealth action game ever!

Jun 16, 2021Sekiro challenges your patience, reflexes, and muscle memory. Once you overcome the hurdle that is relearning how to approach FromSoft's games, this game gets easier. It's no small task though, as I got pummeled until forcing myself to play this for what it is. A fast paced action game with unequaled and unforgiving satisfaction derived from combat.

Jun 16, 2021It's all awesome. The fighting somehow suits me much better than earlier soulslike. I'm a shinobi god! It feels good. The parrying makes all the difference, and I like not having to agonize over whether I use the right items on the right armour. Not all souls-fans will agree, and that's ok. For me, this is the ultimate game.

Game World Navigator MagazineMay 15, 2019There’s no leveling (in Soulsborne sense of the word), no covenants, no multiplayer, no variety in armor and weapons. It could be written off a stylistic choice, if the rest of the game didn’t feel very similar to the previous FromSoftware games. But it does, so Sekrio comes across as rather shallow. [Issue#237, p.28]

Apr 27, 2019Sekiro Shadows Die Twice is a milestone in the genre. It offers complex, stunning and precise sword fights and duels that its predecessors lacked, and from which its successors will have to keep up with. You no longer simply learn by repeatedly and unfairly dying, but you refine your talents as a player. You seek unique methods to overcome each boss, rather than just rolling at the right time before spamming a few hits.

Edge MagazineApr 25, 2019Dozens of hours later, we're still not sure how we feel about it. It's a game of contradictions, open and flexible in its level design, yet resolutely strict in its combat... It is a brilliant game, that is certain. but it is often a difficult one to truly love. Naturally, we can't put it down. [Issue#332, p.104]
