We got Diablo 3.5 on launch. The game needs considerable updates before it is better than "good".

This is not a new game it is way too similar to Diablo 3. Itemization is just "green is good, red is bad" aka "big number good, small number bad". The legendary powers being "unlocked" upon dungeons is bad. They are taking feedback and I assume the game will be better in 6-12 months. If

Great game nerfed to death. I being 100% singleplayer gamer paid for a game and after a month I have nerfed game that I do not like to play anymore. There is nerf week after week after week.

I have seen so many dungeons and other ways of farming xp or items getting nerfed in a day or 2. A stash tab for gems cannot be done in 4 months (Season 2 release apparently).

The ultra rare uniques is just a bad design. Even if you play hundreds of hours, you want see one probably and cannot trade for it. This is a game, not the real world lottery. I do not see a problem in making items accessible....

I bought two copies of this even just so I could play with my fiancé and I wish I could return both with how not fun they have made the game. Combat feels agonizingly slow not even just compared to diablo 3 but any other ARPG. It feels clunky and the few builds that were quick, agile and fun Blizzard has nerfed into the ground. I've already stopped playing the game and at this point, particularly with how many other great games are coming out this year, I don't plan on picking it back up. I can't believe I actually thought they would have learned from Diablo Immortal and make a good game. Somehow they learned from their mistakes and just found new ones to make. Expand

Current success of D4 is not belong to devs on D4, that is only the price of the legacy of diablo series. Devs on D4 doesnt deserve this success.

Out of touch with playerbase. Treating the game as a life service mmo money cow. Not a original Diablo solo game. Time gating, major gameflaws which they "cant fix" until after 6 month... Best game of this year just got bummed to 1 of the worst

personally I think D4 was 8/10 at release, I genuinely had some fun with the campaign and my Sorcerer. But things went down hill after hitting LV70, Sorc turned out to be the worst class to play and instead of fixing it or give us so many QoL changes we are craving for Blizzard came out with the absolute abomination called S1 patch, it felt like they don't know how to make a good game orpersonally I think D4 was 8/10 at release, I genuinely had some fun with the campaign and my Sorcerer. No endgame, unfinished and developers CLEARLY do not listen to the community and do not play their own game. Do not waste your money on this unfinished product at all.

Nothing new for a AAA title. Seems like they have no idea what the community wants anymore. Releasing things that nobody asked for

The game Story of the game until endgame is decent. The endgame is really bad. nothing to do until lvl 100. Even if you care you can only kill uber lillith, but she one shots you anyway. Ah the new patchnotes are really bad and makes the game worse and slower

Pretty sure these devs actually hate their player base. Everything the players do for efficiency or fun gets nerfed. Ability to even survive gets nerfed. And the idea behind “chaser uniques” is absolutely idiotic. They’re something like a 1 in 800,000 chance to obtain. So basically you won’t find one. Ever. Feels bad… but I guess that’s their game philosophy. No fun for you.

I was a huge fan of Diablo. I played both 2 and 3 was super excited for D4. I played the open Bata weekend and the server slam shelled out 90 bucks for early access. When I bought the game I wanted to play a sorcerer got to lvl 30 did not have as much fun with it as I had playing the Bata ended up playing a rouge instead. DO NOT PURCHASE THE GAME. ONLY GREAT REGRET AWAITS.
They weakened everything to push people to playing longer is just plain lazy content making.
Make good contents to make people stay playing the game.
People will always feel the rush when new contents come.
Effort has been tripled, rewards are still the same- trash.
The entire hype went down the drain when patch 1.1.0.4 came.

Arpg with slow gameplay, flat and boring loot system, slowed by devs on every step to create illusion that game has any content. Sad violin played on nostalgia. Run away and never come back to d4. Every patch is out of touch.

For an APPG the combat is repetitive, buildcrafting is limited and the gameplay boring and lacks any real sense of power fantasy. Exp progression is very slow and yet, Blizzard has decided to nerf it to make the game even more grindy. On top of that, loot is uninspired and the game doesn't want to award it to you.

The UI is a complete step backwards from Diablo 3. In game customisation and reforging is so expensive, you can spend your entire worth and still not get an affix you want. Unlike Diablo 3, the game doesn't tell you possible affixes you can re-roll.

Diablo 2 and 3 has set items to seek out, with unique bonuses when you matched sets. Diablo 4 doesn't have that. God knows why? Maybe to keep as a carrot dangling for the future to keep people playing.

Speaking of that. The game seems to have been designed to keep Daily Average Users. They have nerfed major sources of EXP that players found. They nerfed exp gain in general. They just nerfed all major classes in the game and reduced the power of all of the meta builds. They have held off adding set items. Why? Why nerf player power and progression, unless you wanted to slow it all down in order to keep people playing longer.

Well the opposite has happened. We see this skinner box for what it is. It is a shallow version of the two better prequels. At least in Reaper of Souls, the Diablo team back then leaned into giving players a sense of power fantasy and let us have fun with crazy, powerfui builds. It was fun.

Fun. That is something Diablo 4 lacks.

Whoever makes the decisions at blizzard about diablo 4 should lose the job.
The game gets worse every week with every "hotfix" and every patch.

If you want a fun ARPG dont even bother buying diablo 4.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Nerf everything and did not have any analysis of each character. That is called very ugly and violent to force players to get harder to reach NM dungeon 100. But now some characters still can solo 100 but others only can reach around 50-60. Blizzard only cares about the game business and want to extend the cycle of the game without any efforts and reject to admit the lack of test and balance analysis before selling it. It is a shame on Blizzard who is too ugly and did not have qualification to make good games. Expand

While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
