    What a pathetically boring endgame experience . After you hit 100 that’s about it , and one could easily argue that the game is really over way prior to that . The game should START at 100 , not end . I expected a lot more from the Diablo franchise . Save your money . This game is awful .

    Is this an out of season April fools joke? We should have know the game would be a **** show when it became a live service game. Uninstalled the game right before season 1 due to all the bad decisions by developers. In my opinion they need to get rid of Joe Shely because he doesn't seem to give a care in the world what the player base has to say.     There is nothing to play in endgame.Sidestories are also boring except chapter one.(They just want you to think this game is wonderful in beta.And after you buy the full version,they don't care about you anymore)

    Just like the tradition of 2023 Blizzard, they dont try to make the game fun to play, instead they mess with players by killing every aspect of the game so that players have to suffer and spend more time. Doesnt worth the money. Just like their every other games.

    Season 1 brings 0 interesting things to do. XP process is not enhanced in a ny way. Diablo 4 is like Diablo 3 with better graphics and worse mechanics.

    Only 2 playable classes for high tier. Resistances are all broken. Get one shot with no chance of dodging or mechanics to avoid. Not a fun game at all. 42 year old gamer and played all previous Diablo this one’s crap !!!

    Bought the early access game for 90 euros. Played few characters. Season 1 dropped (have season passa included in my early access edition) - went to play Path of exile for free. Pretty much sums up the game.

    I paid the most expensive edition of the game to receive the same game I played during Closed Beta in September 2022, with all the bugs that I reported during beta included. Not good.

    Diablo Immortal, their app game ruined by monetization, had way more to do than Diablo 4 on launch. It's pathetic. Battlegrounds, raid instances, better social, etc were all in there from launch. If they just spent half of that on a massive development team, they would be making even more money on cosmetics right now!!!!! Such a shame....

    The game deserves a slightly better score but hopefully these ratings will pressure them to fix things sooner.

    Background on me: I've been playing blizzard games since I found warcraft 1-2 at CompUSA . A few years later, i snuck in diablo 1 in my moms shopping cart at Costco. That should give you my age range... lol    … Expand

    Disappointed with Diablo 4. Paid €150, but the game feels incomplete with numerous issues and bugs. Updates seem pointless, and developers haven't engaged players effectively. Hope for improvement, but currently unsatisfied.

    I know that it is easy to jump on the bandwagon and keep kicking the dead horse but this can't be overstated. Diablo IV is one of the worst games I've ever had the displeasure of playing. It's basically a worst Lost Ark (if you can believe it).

    Boring itemization. SO many unnecessary interruptions while doing dungeons (which are not randomized and interesting) Doesnt feel like diablo, but more like a lost ark clone lol. rather play other more fun arpgs.

    We played perSeason 1 on launch, Patch1.1.0 really fKd this game.

    Just look at any reviews for the patch or reviews here...

For my experience I was playing as a sorcerer which was pretty fun aspecially at the start with the big skill tree but I got the max stuff at like level 30 or something. I think that the story aka "tutorial" is long and at act 4 I was so bored and only wanting it to finish. At act 6 we were going to hell and i thought it would have been a pretty long and cool area with new enemies design and bosses but it was the same enemies that I uncountered everywhere and i did the hell in less than an hour and even the final boss, Lilith was kinda boring with a reskin for level 100 who wanna "finish the game". After I beat lilith and got the unique ring I went in World tier three, when I saw all the new features in W3 I was hyped but when I did it like 5 time it was getting boring so I did the epic chores of doing all renown points to get skill points and paragon points which took me like 10 hours...
    I grinded until level 60 and did W4 capstine dungeon which was the only time i died because of the boss and not annoying croud control. After getting tourment difficulty I grinded helltides, world bosses and legions like it was a chore same thing with nightmare dungeons who are long and boring honestly after hitting level 76 I quit. I also never got all the uniques for my build, I only got 1/3 and I couldn't do enough damage without it. I made a seasonal caracter but since I had another caracter to test other classes in priority I had to grind all the renown points again...    … Expand

There are 3 out of 5 playable characters, gem which bugs all damage from everyone in radius which also throws any damage balance out of window. Also there was bug for infinity gold loop, so economy is dead. And I'mGame full of game breaking bugs. They break economy, class balances and every aspect of game. I have all d2r , d3 and d4 games and have countless hours put into them . Ever since the review on blizzcon 2019 I was hyped and excited about Diablo 4. However I was not expecting them to release the game so soon and obviously was a mistake. II love the Diablo games . D2 was the top 20 years ago and it still is , but the reason I am no longer playing it is just because I have had enough. I have all d2r , d3 and d4 games and have countless hours put into them . Ever since the review on blizzcon 2019 I was hyped and excited about Diablo 4. However I was not expecting them to release the game so soon and obviously was a mistake. I have made necro , rogue and 2 sorc characters . It is enjoyable to some extend but when you have to beat the glitches and struggle throughout the entire process of building your sorc character , it gets pretty annoying and not enjoyable and this is the main reason this game sucks . It was not ready for a release and if they expect us to waste our time testing their unfinished product they are wrong. I will no longer participate in this alpha testing ridiculousness . I might come back to the game in a few years if the Diablo 4 managers and developers get through their heads how to build a successful game and community around it.
    P.S I really want to play the game , but in this condition it gets me angry and frustrated , so I bette quit . That's it

    Devs clueless destroying the game without listening to the community. Nerfs instead of buffing is the No 1 rule. Unique droprates of certain items are way to low so you cant play the build you want to play, the one you playing because of this fact is nerfed to death

Me and my friends are excited to see more content in the season update at least hoping for some new world events like helltides or legion events. But...
    Blizzard have another plans such as not adding a new end-game content on the other hand making very hard to get end-game by nerfing leveling, increasing cooldowns, nerfing classes that are already nerfed, long story short, increasing damage taken and decreasing damage given etc.
    They think that the people who play this game is not gonna give up when they came out with such a brilliant plan, but you know they are wrong. As you can see this section that made players crazy. They apologized afterwards and they promised they gonna release a patch that fixes all problems. You can guess the patch released after that promise.
    I'm not gonna play this game until I see some proof that Blizzard cares about players.    … Expand

Disconnects leave you in the game for several minutes which makes HC unreasonable. The game is piss easy, the worst threat you have in a HC playthrough is literally being disconnected.     I have played Diablo since I was a kid, it was hardcore but fun, you feel good about developing your build and understanding your way of play. Diablo 3 was fun as you can feel super powerful without spending too much effort into it, me and my partner spent a few hundred hours into it.

    This time, for some reason Diablo 4 just need to be the difficult one, you spend hours and hours    I have played Diablo since I was a kid, it was hardcore but fun, you feel good about developing your build and understanding your way of play. Diablo 3 was fun as you can feel super powerful without spending too much effort into it, me and my partner spent a few hundred hours into it.

    This time, for some reason Diablo 4 just need to be the difficult one, you spend hours and hours studying and farming and leveling to get to a point that you can actually play an enjoy, then, Blizzard will just change it and destroy everything that you have worked on. Players spent their time and followed the developers designs to be powerful in the game, what's wrong with that???? Blizzard had to make players feel helpless and angry? One day you feel like you finally achieved something, then the second day you are back to zero just because Blizzard had to make some "Improvement" on the game. VERY VERY VERY disappointed and angry. This game is the most boring, pointless, remedial gameplay in the franchise. The story is weak and leaves you not submersed in the “darkness” that this game was supposed to bring back, but saying wtf is going on and who are these peasant insignificantImagine having over 2 decades to get a Diablo game as fun as D2 then releasing the worst Diablo game in the franchise by a country mile. This game is the most boring, pointless, remedial gameplay in the franchise. The story is weak and leaves you not submersed in the “darkness” that this game was supposed to bring back, but saying wtf is going on and who are these peasant insignificant NPCs I care nothing about? Multiplayer is horrible. End game is atrociously boring. Remember when there was a chance to get a COA unique drop on every Chaos run, well you can forget about that in D4. What you will find are 50 million legendaries with meaningless stats and skills that help you out 0% unless you want to spend 3 hours rearranging your entire skill “tree” and paragon point system for the chance that it might feel like you’re doing 1% more damage. However, By far the worst mechanic in D4 and I mean someone should be shot for this, is the parallel enemy leveling system. Want to feel OP like every other RPG at least some point in the game I.e approaching endgame. Well too **** bad, every enemy is going to be 2-3 levels higher than you so go f yourself. Best case scenario….Microsoft buys Blizzard, fires everyone and abandons all Diablo games except D2R servers.… Expand

Level 70-100 was boring and completely void of milestones. Multiple builds, all strong, and still boring. Starting a new character/class for the season isnt a new concept in the genre, but the early/mid/end game grind just isnt worth it by any measure. There is no 'Pop off' moment in progression. Its such a slow game, it doesnt hit 'Action' in ARPG enough to keep my interest, nor does do RPG well enough to keep me invested or care. Theory crafting and gear feels like a toddlers toy where you match the shapes or colors. I legit need to take a nap after a couple hours of gameplay or grab a coffee or do literally anything else.

    To best sum up gameplay: It feels like a dream a where you're trying to run but instead move very slowly. Fun fights are usually poo'd on by frost CC, it really feels like someone on player 2 controller is unexpectedly tapping the pause button like oldschool nintendo games. The sandbox world they've created is in fact quick sand, and you slowly trudge through the lands whacking stuff with skills that hit either like wet noodles or completely eviscerate your target. Its a game of no middle grounds. YOU are alive or dead, the MONSTERS are alive or dead. You can have fun at times, but its a long sleepy journey between those brief moments.

    Whatever you expect from this game, you will be disappointed. Its not bad enough to be cheesy fun, its not good enough to keep you interested, its not mid enough to be able to put it down and come back and occasionally have fun. RIP Blizzard, this is such a massive fail and I promise, only to myself, to not get my hopes up for anything you guys release moving forward.    … Expand

    Even if Graphics, Music, Story, Ambience and so on are 10/10 if the game is not fun to play it should get a 1/10 score. But those things are also all bad!

    So I’ve had to go with 0/10. I hate this game.

    Story, 2/10

    The Lilith Arc had so much potential and the first act showed that potential but it soon ended, so much lore behind the franchise at this point, and while it got a little bit interesting at parts it should have been 2x to 3x longer! I felt so deflated when I finished the campaign… is that… it? Nothing ground-breaking, almost a copy & paste job from the stories of previous Diablo games.

    It is also missing the crucial cut-scenes when moving from one act to the next, ruining progress immersion. In previous Diablo games travelling from one act to the next felt like a major step forward, major plot progression contained… in D4 it involves running for 15 seconds from one zone to the next! zzzZZ.

    Graphics, 2/10

    Good rendition does not = good graphics, the game feels like a copy and paste job, it has no soul; all the towns feel the same, dungeons the same, bosses the same, after my time playing Diablo 1/2/3 I anticipated a wow factor at the potential of a Diablo IV World! Sorry but none of it impressed me, this is not a Diablo world!

    And why are we so zoomed in? Because the game has no cool details, the camera zooms out sometimes, you can count them on one hand. It says a lot about how confident they felt about the world they created :(

    Think back to all the amazing zones in previous titles, the battle-scenes, the hellscapes, the beauty of heaven, the unique dungeons, while playing the game’s campaign you’d be in a new zone every few minutes, new monsters, venturing through dangerous caves to get to the next waypoint, fighting back hordes of hell… nope, none of that in Diablo 4 :( it all passed you by in one fluid blur of disappointment. Many times in the campaign you’ll travel from one town to the next without encountering a single enemy.

    Music, 1/10

    Repetitive to the extreme, dull, unexciting… I’d give it 0/10 but the music from the brief hell cutscene was decent.

    Ambience 0/10

    Is this a Diablo game? Everything feels the same, same zones, same monsters, same dungeons, same towns, same music, same bosses… due to the copy & paste graphics, lacking soundtrack and lacklustre storyline I never felt immersed in the world they have created, even Hell (In the brief 10 minutes we get to see hell) was empty and boring.

    Gameplay 3/10

    What can I say? it’s an ARPG, nothing too bad but nothing special. This is a very poorly balanced game so after the campaign you are restricted to a very limited amount of builds which the developers are constantly trying to re-balance long after release and multiple beta tests… many of these builds are totally reliant on very rare loot drops that a casual will never see, the item system is unrewarding to anyone who cannot invest hundreds of hours into the game every playthrough, casuals be damned! To make it worse monsters continue to scale as you level, a run of bad luck could see your character castrated.

    Replayability 0/10

    After the campaign is over it becomes Extreme repetition after an hour or two, there is no repeatability to this game, play end-game for 2 hours and you’ll have experienced it all! You get World Bosses (Cool for the first encounter, not for the 2nd), Helltides (Killing limited monsters, more of a drip than a tide, while random players in your world kill ahead of you, it can feel very empty), and Dungeons, with a very limited selection of Dungeon Types and Bosses. It gets boring fast.

    Time / Reward Ratio 3/10

    It is unrewarding or too easy. The campaign is far too easy, on my second playthrough I made it as difficult as I could, even after a so-called ‘nerf’ patch but still breezed through it with zero challenge (25+ levels lower than my first playthrough, starting from absolute scratch in Season 1). Beating the game felt unrewarding.

    And then there’s the loot system which just feels awkward, Everything is good!.. but 99.99% is bad. In my 3 weeks playing I got 1 dopamine rush for one good item dropping. I’m sorry I’m not investing 1,000 hours to build a character.

    I could go on and on but I've run out of characters. Read the reviews before buying this game.    … Expand

The devs are in way over their heads, and have no idea how to make a fun or successful game in this genre.     Rarely do I rate thing online but this game actually makes me mad. Barbarian class received endless nerfs that took them from competitive to last place. Buff were recently announced that ignore the problems. I spend a lot of time leveling barb to only be nerfed so I cannot complete end game activities like my friends who play other classes and didnt get nerfed. Every patch of this game hasRarely do I rate thing online but this game actually makes me mad. Barbarian class received endless nerfs that took them from competitive to last place. Buff were recently announced that ignore the problems. I spend a lot of time leveling barb to only be nerfed so I cannot complete end game activities like my friends who play other classes and didnt get nerfed. Every patch of this game has made the game exceedingly worst. Amazon’s New World previously held the record for biggest dumpster fire.     We will not be developing an endgame, we will just nerf the classes and reduce the experience gained. And we will also sell the battle pass without confirmation.
    Oh yes, we will also change the balance in each patch.
    It's not an AAA game, it's a beta test for 70 bucks.
    All I can say is "Blizzard, play this **** yourself" :)

    And now even on Season 1, after one month of release "game" continue with tons of optimizing problems and is no longer fun with nerf patches. Just a big waste of time.

    But well... is just a beta guys, it just need five more years of dev to be complete.

    The game development team and the planning group don't even play this game. They removed the leveling mechanism from Diablo 2 and 3. The seasonal content is extremely boring. The rewards from the battle pass are all garbage. The skins in the store are ugly and very expensive.

Yeah, the graphics may look all flashy and sht, but the class balance is a total trainwreck, endgame content is a snooze-fest, and they keep nerfing and fiddling with everything like it's their favorite pastime. They make Diablo 4 look like the holy grail, but it's a massive letdown! All it doesDang it, Blizzard just won't stop trying to dictate how the heck we should play the damn game!     The game is so laggy that it is unplayable.
    The settings are all wrong, and it is clear that the developers do not understand the game.
    The game is full of ridiculous bugs that are clearly the result of bad programming.
    The developers seem to be more interested in making the game as difficult as possible than in making it fun.

    While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
