    This is the worst game ever made. All they did is copy lost arch and paste diablo 4 characters into the environment .... And gave the player base absolutely NOTHING they wanted. The current version of blizzard has no idea how to produce blizzard games .. They have a brand to sell. This is a sad sad day for gaming :(.

    After the recent patch all of the progress made in game was made useless. Instead of listening to the player and even worse: play testing their own game before pushing patches live, blizzard just runsaasti the game experience for everyone. Who in their mind thought that reducing already bad resistances was a good idea? Who thought that a unique with random teleports was a good idea?     I just created my account for telling gamers to be cautious before buying this game
    In its current state D4 is very far of diablo like game
    no fun (itemization and re-playability) , not a solo game (boss in dungeon are way to hard in level III to play solo)

    But it provides indeed beautiful landscapes

    It's an exchangeable generic H&S game that could've been done by any indie studio. ok, gfx and audio are great, but the game itself is a horrible misconception. Worst itemization seen in over 10 years (when D3 came out the did the same mistakes, creating wands with +str and dex... just as an example). ---    TL;DR:

    I played Diablo from the first version back in the 90's. The best Diablo was D2 in patch 1.09d
    When they released 1.10 for D2 it became cruel and hard, but still beatable.
    D3 was a horror trip while the auction house existed and the itemization was so awful (dropping wands with str and dex).
    D3 became better, although it was reduced to grind portals forever, barely ever leaving a town. but that was still better than what they did to the diablo game with Diablo IV.

    First, they REPEATED THE SAME MISTAKES (wands with str+dex) and created an absolutely demotivating itemization. when i return to town after a dungeon i am not eager to find out what cool drops there were, no, i am SCARED to visit the merchant because i now have again to spend 5+ minutes on an inventory full of trash, reading through waaaaay to long tooltips and dozens of different stats and bonusses to find out, whether an item MIGHT oder MIGHT NOT be stronger than what i wear.
    Legendaries are a joke. They are just rares with a random aspect slammed on them.

    uniques are a joke too as we can't even reroll ANYTHING. why did they not make it, that we can try to get a better roll on one single stat? I mean, not CHANGING what stat it is - uniques shall be blueprints, thats ok, but just try to reroll the value of a single stat? there are dropping so few uniques... it's horrible.

    And then... patch 1.1 came just before the season. omg.... my sorceress is dead, unplayable.
    Hell tides make no fun.
    Dungeons are just awkward and lightyears away from being fun.
    Itemization is not even worth the energy, that the white pixels of this text consumes.
    It's a 100% failure. It can clearly be seen, that key players left the company.    … Expand

    I have farmed my Barbarian for 150+ hours until 15/7 to 100lv, and the new update validates the death of my passion. All the change is only nerfing, don't even have a buffing for main flow build. And the Blizzard NEVER really "played" this game in my opinion. Blizzard only want to see player suffering, **** YOU!

Since D3 was so bad i fell in Love with Path of exile and play it since the start till now. D4 is just so dissapointing for a player like me. Its awfully repeditive. Itemization is a bad joke.     Let's just say that if they offered refunds after season 1 patch notes they would lose a lot of money. I bought this despite being on the fence to play with my friends but this will be my last blizzard game I ever buy. Blizzard has had a lot of nostalgia good faith but that's be burned away now.

I thought Blizzard was finally going in the right direction with the D4 release (except for the WoW elements in the game which I don't like). Big disappointment. Fix this ASAP, or I will never buy a ActiBlizz game again.… Expand

    No stash space, terrible character customization, boring endgame, boring loot, boring uniques.
    The season 1 content is literally 1 hour of play time but they added boring grinding in between to make it feel longer. Lilith rule 34 is good tho.

    After the patch, I tried some nightmare dungeons and found my character was way weaker than before. What is the point of the massive nerfs if most of the content in the game is PVE, especially when the original version contains very difficult content for most players already? I felt frustrated and decided to quit the game.

    New char per season is horrible when main audience of your game are older people with jobs. Very few individuals are jobless enough to grind every season, and the game now is even grindier in current state. If you create a new character for the new season and decide to skip campaign, it feels - there's no aim in the game, just do random grinds. It    Made an account just for this.

The only new thing that came out of that pile of dung is that their customer support rejecting your every request is no longer done by underpaid call centres, but instead by bad AI.

    Diablo 3 is better in every way other than graphics. It's laggy and the dev team seems determined to ruin the game with patches. As soon as you find something fun, they patch it out. Absolute trash.

    I don't think the designers understand what the purpose of the game is, they just keep prolonging the game.
    It is recommended to save money to play other games

    The game was fun... until level 50. Then, it became a grind, grind again and grind some more chore. There are no sets, like in the previous games, and legendaries are -most of the time- just garbage. Uniques drop only in higher difficulties.
    Then, Blizzard released patch 1.1.0. and nerfed ALMOST everything player friendly.
    Make yourself a favor and don't buy this game.

    I have no idea who the genius is that approved all these season 1 mechanics but they should be fired or placed into another role of responsibility. Blizzard continues with poor implementation and backtracking when met with pushback.     Released only 6 weeks ago, full AAA price and they are aleady taking advantage. Season one comes with a huge across the board nerfs which makes the base game an absolute chore to play. "But hey why not buy a season pass" play the new season content to get back some of the character power lost from the nerfs.

    I just got on this morning after working all week heard they dropped a horrible patch and wanted to see for myself and i can say its worse than what people are saying. Boring boring boring boring and boring. I used to hit between 300 to 600k and now i hit 50 to 200k. Now fights drag out making the fighting and progression slower. They also randomly changed an aspect on my focus. Boring boring boring boring and boring. I used to hit between 300 to 600k and now i hit 50 to 200k. Now fights drag out making the fighting and progression slower. They also randomly changed an aspect on my focus. Never even seen the aspect before. I love how game companies can just change everything about your character and the core of the game just because. 0/10 Patch. Can Blizzard do ANYTHING RIGHT???… Expand

    The game was already a long grind to 100, and with new season they made everything worst. why would anyone wanna play this. Imagine spending hours a day to get very little reward and lose sleep over nothing.

    Leveling 1-45 is OK after level 45 well you have to do the same dungeon 1000000 times to hit ma level 100 which even at that point theres still nothing to do. They said you'll hit lvl 100 and you can now do the same dungeon    They basically took Diablo 3 Reskinned it and made it worse.     The icing on the cake is seasons, which youll be forced to play every 3months as it deletes your character and moves it to an eternal realm server but again scroll above and think is the game really so much fun that you'll want to restart every 3 months???

    This game was playable, boring, but playable. That patch made it useless. They want to funnel everyone towards the seasons and the paid battlepass. They didn't have to do that. Someone making decisions at Blizzard who should not be. I wanted to love this game and play it for a long time, instead I uninstalled it.

    Season 1 absolute trash, rewards aren't great and they just nerfed everything and forgot to buff other abilities enough to make a shift in optimal builds. Not gonna bother playing season 1, gonna stick to eternal realm, that is if I'll even find the will to play the game after the update..

    Great game if you like playing hours and getting your characters nerfed every other week. Highly recommend if you play 23 out of 24 hours a day. Seriously...stop nerfing **** every week...especially classes that already suck..makes zero sense.     Head of Balancing: Well, I think so? We buried her.
    Head of Development: But she still has quite a lot of followers! Take care of it!
    Head of Balancing: Okay, we'll dig her up again, and burn everything thats left! Just to be sure!

    Either the developers are completely oblivious to their own game mechanics or it's a deliberate action to slow down players and generate longer playtime per player to improve the statistics (KPI). Instead of finally creating decent endgame content, they simply stretch the path to the endgame indefinitely, so the lack of content isn't noticed as quickly.    … Expand

During my first playthrough through the campaign I enjoyed the game. Heck, I even bought the add-on horse. But the more I played the lazier the game looked. Let´s take legendarys as an example. This aspect could be on several different Itemslot, creating the illusion of hundreds of legendarys. But it is nothing more than an illusion. In Truth there are less then 150. Diablo 3 had more than 500, not counting the Sets. Like i said. lazy design hidden behind randomness. Thats not all. In my opinion you could remove legendarys from the game and make the enemys drop the aspects without changing the game at all. Therefore if a gamemechanic does not fulfill anything besides making the game feel bigger than it is, is it necessary?

    And now they show with the latest patch that they do not care for the community. First they increase the Ep you get pre season to keep people hooked. Now they reduce it again to increase playtime of the season. The season itself has a theme that is nothing but a bad version of Diablo 3 legendary gem system.

    This is the first time i would take a refund offer for a game i bought. Not even reforged got me to this point.

    Therefore my recomendation: do not buy. wait for a sale. if you already bought is, wait for a year or so. the game will get better, i think.    … Expand

They then showed that they had forgotten those lessons with Diablo Immortal. With the launch of D4 there was a glimmer of hope as if Tyrael himself was blessing the launch. Then the first season comes around and theyBlizzard seemed to learn their lesson with diablo 3 regarding seasonal content.     15. The weeping tree reward is just unbelievable. I didn't actually this was end content.

    I had fun doing the campaign. after the campaign you may as well stop playing. honestly I'm pretty mad I spent $70 on this game. feels like a $15 game with no replay value. There's no incentive to keep playing. I've been having more fun playing Chivalry 2 which is free on gamepass.

    It was bad enough that the visuals and writing were tedious and uninspired, but now its just a grindfest after finishing the campaign. They keep nerfing characters and builds with a claim of "balancing" and 'making it fair for ALL players', but in actuality all it does it make classes mathematically unable to compete in end-game progression, let alone in PVP.     I would like to thank the dev team for the season one patch. I was hoping they would remove the fun so I could stop playing so much and they did! Very good job! I really felt like it was too fast paced and had way too much action. Thank you for eliminating the action from your action rpg.     While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
