now in a normal situation developers would try to fix these issues except they ignore the community and instead of fixing the issues they nerfed all classes and made that slow progression even slower

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is not worth of 70$ and has no content in it.
    Pros:
    - Pretty nice graphic and animations
    - Online multiplayer
    Cons:
    - The plot is weak and Blizzard just made the first act and the first location (Fractured Peaks) in details, all other game was made in a rush and it seems like it is not finished at all. All acts just makes you run accross the whole location straight to the dungeon. It does not make you to explore the locations they made, then what is the point of all of this? During all acts you just run chaising Lilith and in the end you go down to the hell and kill everyone including Lilith. From the trailers I waited for real war between Lilith and Inarius - you even do not participate in it, everyone just dies and you only see dead bodies and 1 boring cutscene.
    - Side quests are not interesting, they have no sens. Storngholds are the same as acts, only some of them are really well done, all others just can be bitten in 2 minutes.
    - Locations: no content on these locations and it is soooo boring.
    - Leveling is specifically lenghthen by Blizzard. You spend a lot of time to level up but for what? With higher levels different enemies do not have increased damage. You can easily be lvl 70 and kill an enemy of the same level, after that without upgrading your items you will easily fight the same enemy on level 100, the only one who will do more damage is you, but not the enemy. The only thing that gives some difficulty is world tier that makes you just take more damage from mobs, once you upgraded enough to sustain that damage - you complete the game and no more progress. Also it is worth mentioning that the mandatory dungeon that you need to complete in order to get tier 4 world is a piece of **** Instead of making something difficult and interesting, Blizzard just added enemies that one shots you, that's it, other mobs are the same as common one.
    - End game content???? Really, the only thing that Blizzard managed to do is over 100 dungeons that have 10-15 patterns and the same amount of bosses in it? Some random events such as Helltide is not enough to play this game more than couple of hours. Blizzard also made a 3 world bosses, really??? Also you will receive a note about world boss only after you finish all acts.
    - PVP is useless while you just see 100 LVL player in tier 2-3 world fighting against newbies on 40-70 LVL
    - Bugs, bugs and one more time bugs. Also servers still cannot handle all players and you die because of constant lags. And by the way Blizzard will blame all players that they have bad internet connection or they stupid enough to use weak Wi-Fi connection and that's the reason for all that lags but Blizzard does not understand that ALL players experience it and will never learn how to properly set up their servers.

(changed from 3 to 0) Here is an update regarding Season 1:
    - they downgraded the game and made it even moe unplayable
    - the battlepass is just a scam product that you can buy completely for $170
    - in order to unlock the content of the season further, you need to complete boring challanges such as kill 1 mob, clear 3 dungeons etc. Noone limits you from playing the content except Blizzard, well, I suppose because this content can be finished within 1 hour

Understanding that gameplay is more important than profits is crucial for a "game" company.

Because it is a game company, after all.

There seems to be no trace of consideration for what makes the users enjoy the game.

It is unpleasant to sense a focus on what will inconvenience the users and create unnecessarily long playtimes.

$100 that I feel is the most regrettable in my life.

This game had a lot of promise but the developers really screwed up in many ways.

This game is a fun play through once in the campaign up to level 50-55 and it's something you'll never want to play again after. What is the point of seasons when leveling past 50 is pointless? When loot sucks, when they nerfed everything in the patch and classes aren't unique and you can only play one

It's just dumb and a total waste. Very lazy vision with this game and it deserves all the crap reviews it is getting.

No gem tab at release? FAIL

Stupid mount mechanics that make having a horse more of a pain in the butt than just building a character with high movement speed? FAIL

No real customization with classes that forces you to play one way? Mega FAIL

Crap loot after level 50 that just forces you to farm just to farm? FAIL

No real good end game after the campaign world tier 4? Lazy and big FAIL

Over complex paragon board and under complex skill tree? FAIL

Stat boosts like strength for a Barbarian or Intelligence for a Sorcerer actually meaning something? Pointless and FAIL

I could go on and on but overall, but just **** you Blizzard and your team of beta cuck losers who designed this game. You should be killed at gun point in public for just wasting everyone's time with this shameless cash grab that doesn't even resemble a finished product.

Instead of addressing class bugs like the minion necro and making it more playable, Blizzard seems to be more focused on turning the game into a grind-fest due to the live service model.

It's a bit disappointing as players would prefer improvements in quality of life and bug fixes rather than increasing the grindiness of the game.

First and foremost, the never-ending stream of nerfs is simply infuriating. It seems like every time I find a powerful build or an enjoyable playstyle, Blizzard swoops in with their heavy-handed adjustments, leaving players frustrated and demotivated. This relentless nerfing not only ruins the game's balance but also destroys any sense of progression and satisfaction.

Blizzard's incompetence and disconnection from their player base are evident in almost every aspect of Diablo 4. They seem to be ignoring feedback and simply pushing ahead with misguided changes that alienate longtime fans. It's evident that the developers lack a genuine understanding of what makes the Diablo series so beloved and compelling, resulting in a watered-down experience that feels like a pale imitation of its predecessors.

I had fun playing Sorc in the previous months, joining legions, helltides, crawling dungeons, slaying world bosses, and unlocking Torment. Through it all, my Sorc showed signs of degeneration to complete irrelevance. It became really noticeable yesterday when I first saw the patch notes. And then:

    - All of my cooldowns have significantly increased
    - I started dying at the hands of monsters I could have easily killed
    - I couldn't get enemies to be vulnerable as easily as before
    - My mana seems to run out twice as fast and I couldn't regenerate it without running in circles for longer
    - I was no longer as effective in legions, and I started to feel envious of the Druids and Barbs as they run around making kills while I'm stuck without mana. Thrice I got successively killed when I never died in legions.

Last night, I looked for answers and I found it on Reddit. Their answer? A bonfire. For what?

    - To justify why the recent patch needs to stay when they could have easily rolled it back?
    - To convince players that everything will be OK?
    - To sugarcoat what is apparent as a monetization-geared patch?
    - To convince players to stay invested in the game when they're the ones driving the latter away?

In all, they seemed they wanted me to stop playing altogether.

This morning, I log in and saw that Season 1 had launched. I still wanted to play Sorc but given that Blizzard has nerfed it to complete uselessness, I feel that the hours I've put in to level my character has gone to waste all because they wanted more money.

I think it unfair that the problems I've been quietly whining about remain unaddressed:

    - The super slow XP gain
    - The very limited stash
    - Unbearable lags especially in events and when traveling through town
    - Useless loot drops (I no longer farm; ancient drops are merely incidental)
    - Frustratingly useless goblin drops
    - The luxurious mount and evade cooldowns
    - The store that really offers nothing affordable
    - The irritatingly repetitive quest of friends who wanted to purge evil and others

I am a casual player, and if the above are my sentiments, I feel for those who play hardcore and those who really invest their time playing the game, figuring out the math behind skills and stats, etc.

I thought that D4 is Blizzard's redemption from their greediness (not to mention the workplace lawsuits) but I guess I was wrong.

First off I am a business owner, so I take it VERY SERIOUSLY before writing a review. Let alone a NEGATIVE ONE. But I had too. I am so disappointed with this game and I'm going to tell you why. Waited over 10 years for this game. After grinding for a decade on Diablo 3 - My first introduction to the game.

Diablo 4 started off amazing. And really had a decent story, much better gameplay

And really had a decent story, much better gameplay than Diablo 3 and fixed a ton of stuff. Problem here is two fold. I have NEVER liked seasons. I think it's the dumbest idea ever personally. I think they are entirely a waste - And forces you to NOT continue progressing the same character that you love obviously, and it's unfortunate that you are pigeon-holed into continuing with what blizzard wants you to do, and not exactly what you want to do. Making previous characters irrelevant, then onto next sprint to another pointless season.

2nd problem with this game is the fact that the nerfs, buffs, and patches don't just come. They come with a FORCE. It's not a simple, "lets fix a couple things." It's literally: "Hey you guys are having fun with our video game, and finding all this cool stuff, and very serious players are reaping many rewards because they SLAVED 100's of hours? Yeah, lets NUKE your fun." The last patch they put out was the most atrocious, despicable, and relentless change to a video I have ever seen in 32 years. The saddest thing I have ever experienced playing video games personally. And it felt personal. I am not alone in this. Read the dang reviews lol.

Instead of some really reasonable fixes, they NUKED all characters, and made my personal favorite Rogue absolutely unplayable. Especially at high levels. Taking away the one thing that made them playable - LEACH. I Could push HIGH 75's+ NM dungeons with relative ease bases on building a badass character with endless time and tinkering put in, and now low 60's are hard, and taking away most of the fun and progression higher. Patch goal = add to the grind factor. Like really? Dude Diablo franchise is already a grind. You don't multiply that for the sake of doing so. It's a grind franchise by default. Don't forcibly add to that.

I say this as a major warning when it comes to doing any involvement with blizzard. They are a cash grab. I saw it in Diablo 3. DO NOT be fooled by FALSE critic reviews Who are NOT GAMERS. THE devs are after money. They are not after creating the best video game, and they showed us this when the last patch came out. And also many changes back int he day of D3. They destroyed "eternal realm" that I was playing 6 hours a day on+ to wanting to uninstall the game. Literally I'm not playing at all anymore overnight. Was even going to splurge on a $6,000 custom computer setup just for the game. Money is not an issue and I had fun. Why not?! Not anymore. Back to final fantasy. Diablo 4 as of right now is dead, and DO NOT be fooled by critics and dev's who are NOT PLAYERS.

I have worked in many industries. Reviews can be bought, and blizzard devs are NOT your friend. They are a business that need to monetize margins and revenue. Destroying eternal realm to push everyone into seasons to "try and keep it fresh," and sell you things (cosmetics, etc) is their game. They are not after all players. They are after the widest "monetizeable demographic." Trust me... I teach people how to scale their businesses and top-line revenue. I know they're game. They don't care about the major gamer, the hardcore gamer, they just want to appeal to the casual mindless zombie that "toes the line" and will show up no matter how much they nuke their fun. Each season after another.

Marvel did this when after "Avengers Endgame" - They made everything a joke, stupid, and for kiddies, because they could make more money. Quantity over quality. It's not about good story here. It's the cheese/bread/dinero/$.

It really saddens me to make this post as I really liked D4 in the beginning. It is an unplayable empty shell husk compared to what we started with. Hope this does not come off as whining, but more of a diary or therapy session LOL for venting. Blizzard did the community DIRTY, and I promise you they don't care. It will only get worse. This is their intro.

You are not their priority. Profit is. This is expected.

"When you try and save everyone, you doom everyone."

Good luck with your seasons. Hopefully not everyone feels this way, and some still enjoy the game, but like I said. They absolutely desecrated major gamers, and what makes a game fun, and what makes it so fun to keep showing up too. Retiring Diablo 4. GG blizzard. You guys won. I hope your margins were worth it.

P.S. Don't introduce uber uniques at such a low drop rate, that nobody over the course of 4000 hours of gameplay will ever find, and even if they do find ONE, they can still roll bad stats. Like dudes, what were you thinking. Dev team is so out of touch it's bonkers. Shame. Good luck all. Hope this helps!

Hello Blizzard D4 Team. I am a long time gamer who was very excited about playing Diablo 4 after the very long production time it took to release this game. I have paid and played Diablo 3 when it was initially release back in 2012. I have participated in D3's real money market and I have sunk in a significant amount of money at the time. It was over $1,000.00.

I have played the free game from Grinding Gear Games's Path of Exile and I really loved it for the dark and gritty storyline. I have sunk in over $2,000.00 in buying their cosmetics.

Recently I have played Tripod and Smilegate's Lost Ark game and it was amazing for its game play action and quality of life mechanics for their users. There was no funny business about not putting an easily accessible built-in timer for the world bosses or other events.

They have events where they have eight users play together in the same game instance.
This literally blew me away as it was more fun to play with more players.

Also, I have sunk in over $2,000.00 in buying their cosmetics for customizing my characters.

What I am trying to convey to you Blizzard as a company who needs to satisfy their shareholders is why are you trying to make a fun game very annoying to play with longer time gate mechanics? Not everyone can play like the top one percent diehard professional gamers.

I have a job where I have to work over 50 hours per week. Why are you making me regret my decision about purchasing the ultimate edition of Diablo 4 during its pre-release?

I do have an actual life you know where I regularly meet up with family and friends.

I definitely think you will be losing me as a loyal customer who was potentially willing to spend a lot of money on the game's cosmetics.

Please do clean up your act and really listen to the userbase and the top professional gamers who play for a living and have experienced the god awful decisions from your development team.

I choose not to spout hate in my zero star review of Diablo 4 at this current time.

    Thanks!

I feel I really can’t keep up with the changes… I’m just a casual player who wants to enjoy deleting mobs and get fancy gear, not having to constantly watch pro videos and build guides, and change builds…

I’m not sure how many balance patches are there already, probably 4 or more in a little more than a month. Now I just feel too tired to create a new character and follow a new build…Why can’t blizzard just let God builds be Gods, and change it in the next season???

It feels like I’m not playing the game, but the game is playing me. Fair well, D4 and Blizzard, have fun with your constant game of chase!

This game is a poor mans Path of Exile and borderline an insult to the ARPG genre.
All Blizzard had to do, was take the best part of D2, the best parts of D3 and build upon that. Instead we get this. Its a decent game for about 50 hours, then you realise it has no soul, no inspiration.
The loot system is ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS as well.

They didn't even bother testing it during beta.

They just randomly adjust some parameters and release a new version.

Beta Necromancer Corpse Explosion: I don't think you need to play until level 10, not even level 20. Basically, once you activate the skill and use it once, you can tell it's overpowered.

Result: Once it went live, players immediately found it powerful and they immediately nerfed it? Seriously, if they had played and tested it properly, how could they not know?

Drop rate reduced in Wave mode: You can't even collect 50 items in 20 minutes.

Result: And then they get called out for it and claim it's a bug? Seriously, if they had played and tested it properly, it would only take 5 minutes to see if there's a problem. Just a normal trip between two points in the village would be enough to notice, even with occasional detours, it should take no more than 10 minutes to collect 175 items. I'm not even that fast, there are definitely people who have faster methods.

The above perfectly proves that they didn't test it properly, just randomly adjusted parameters and released a new version! How else could they not notice?

For a game company of this size, is this the attitude and approach they take towards game development?

With this kind of behavior, it's truly absurd and reflects a lack of intelligence and competence.

If I were to ask Blizzard about this, I'm sure they would just instantly censor the "chatroom." Oh, I'm overestimating them—maybe they would even shut down the chatroom entirely. LOL

-Story is written like a Saturday morning cartoon.
-Dungeons are just reskins of previous dungeons. Like Dragon Age 2.
-Camera is to zoomed on character.
-No environment or character is memorable.
-70 dollars USD is to much for what is offered.

Honestly the story was really engaging to me, not as stellar as d2 or d3 but definitely fun to play.
The end game was a slog where you would do the same dungeons over and over again to max your glyphs and level up... it really didn't feel fun, was slow and beyond boring.

I logged on to the game after patch 1.1 to a gutted character. My character is useless and i you have to use gold to remove your paragon. Some items that I spent ages and millions of gold and crafting components to get perfect are now useless.

So they just killed my character essential, so the whole slog I went through with the end game to get this stuff was a complete waste of time.

Despite this, I have now played the new season 1 for 4 hours.
It feels like a mobile game, the battle pass cosmetics are tragic, the main quests are cut up by an arbitrary task list that has no other function than it gets you some cosmetics, I legitimately got 50 malignant hearts and each one feels like it only has 2 or 3 different options... it's… Man, it's just dull.

If all this wasn't the case, you would still have to deal with loading screens that either crash the game or you have to Alt f4. Fat-fingering the season pass button, so you have now bought the season pass. THERE IS NO CONFIRMATION. Invisible walls appearing stopping you from going places. The quests bugging, causing you to be kicked out of the game and have to do the same chain again. When leaving towns the mounts sometimes seem to be unable to dash... until you dismount and wait 9 seconds to get back on it... some people are still stuck on queues for the game. There are issues with certain abilities not being able to add skill points too. i have a GTX 3090ti and it still jitters when leaving towns. There's a VRAM leaking problem that makes the game unplayable.

I just… I love Diablo, I'm so sad that it started so well, and then they just stabbed themselves in the back. THIS IS A TRIPLE A company... and they can't even make a server work properly. They have been doing this for decades.

If all this is fine then buy it by all means, but this is not an ARPG this is a MMO gatcha mobile game with amazing art and ZERO substance

The absolute core of the game is great - the graphics (both the pixels themselves and overall art direction) are fantastic for an isometric ARPG, the sound design is splendid (extremely atmospheric music, most sound effects have weighty punch), most abilities feel good to use (ignoring how resource-starved most specs are, just the feel of each button press).

*HOWEVER*, even before this disastrous patch leading into the first season, Diablo 4 has a litany of issues. Endgame content is severely lacking. Dungeon design is terrible, with far-too-frequent backtracking and dead periods. Enemy density is poor at all levels, and I essentially never felt I was fighting enough monsters. The content all felt far, far too easy, including absurdly simply boss encounters, until you scale endgame nightmare dungeons up to the point where ranged enemies risk one-shotting squishy characters, which promotes gameplay where you just blast them in a second during CC before they kill you back. And Path of Exile already made (and couldn't figure out how to solve) that mistake. Speaking of squishy, need I bring up that the resistance stat, which necromancers and ESPECIALLY sorcerers primarily use, basically doesn't work? You could add a zero to how much mitigation it provides, and it would still be off by another factor of 5-10, it's really that bad. And Blizzard's solution can't come until... at least Season 2.

There are more problems. Stash storage space is a joke, and I've heard basically nothing about fixes, such as being able to shift the aspect system completely into the game's codex, which would solve the issue almost entirely on its own. As it stands, I didn't even make a single alt during the game's launch because I had no room. While I absolutely didn't need the aspects I was holding onto, such as perfect rolls for skills that are currently bad and not worth using, why should I have to scrap those types of things and have to refarm them in the future if they become worth using?

Any announced fixes take multiple seasons to go live. Blizzard has acknowledged at least SOME community problems, and fixes might not be coming until Season 2 or later. So many months post-launch. That's not just a lack of agility, that's a company with a complete inability to operate a game in 2023. I believe the issues are with getting the okay to push things live for consoles, which have a cert process, and if so - DON'T LAUNCH A GAME IN SUCH A PISS-POOR STATE THAT YOU CAN'T RESPOND TO PROBLEMS.

This was the game before the seasonal patch, which proceeded to make things worse. Basically anything you could think of got worse. Cooldown reduction, worse. The good DPS stats, worse. The worst spec at 80+ (Sorcerers)? Nerfed, more than the other specs! Fun! Stash problems? Made even worse because the season mechanic adds more stuff you have to store. Leveling speed? Slower. Armor, a necessary stat with resistances not working? Reduced. Damage reduction? Reduced. Were fun endgame activities added to spice up the gameplay with even a LITTLE variety? Nope. Can't be bothered with that. The same barely-populated dungeons with the same repeating indoor tilesets with the same "go find two buttons/levers and then backtrack because eff you and your enjoyment" design.

I'm scoring this as a 1 just to avoid a possible sweep of all the 0s the game is currently receiving, but this is about as disappointed I've been in a game in a very, very long time. They had 10 years to work on this since Diablo 3 launched. And in that time they made the skeleton of a game, did a half-assed job balancing it, and decided to toss it out there so people could start paying them for battlepasses ASAP even though this is clearly in an early beta stage with content missing. Path of Exile has a huge list of 'seasonal' (league) mechanics that have been folded into the core gameplay loop, which are all playable in ADDITION to whatever mechanic is added to the current 'season' (league). Some are much more elaborate than others, even after being simplified as part of implementing them as a core aspect of gameplay, but there are all separate league mechanics: Expedition, Ritual, Heist, Delirium, Harvest, Blight, Betrayal, Legion, Breach, Bestiary, Delve, Harbinger, Beyond, Abyss, Incursion, Rogue Exiles, Strongboxes, Metamorph, Vaal maps, Torment. A few are *very* minor (Rogue Exiles, Torment), or don't represent much in the way of gameplay without using a separate talent tree to push their rewards (Rogue Exiles, Strongboxes), but others are very involved, including my favorite, Expedition. Yes, Path of Exile had many years to gain these and implement them one by one, but that's an indie studio that slowly grew the game (and its playerbase), not a behemoth like Activision/Blizzard. We didn't even get a tiny FRACTION of that sort of stuff in Diablo 4, and it really, really shows. My disappointment is immeasurable, and I only hope the game is fixed by 2025-2026.

Whoever's giving a 0 is just mad. However, I can say that with 80 hours of gameplay, the single player campaign is good, leveling and grinding until 55 is good, then 55+ is TRASH. ABSOLUTE TRASH. No reason to grind whatsoever. Horrible itemization and mechanics. This is why I'm giving 5/10.

Long Time ARP player with 3000+ Hours in D3 and 4000 in PoE and couple 100 in D4, And D4 has to be the worst ARPG release even worse than Wolcen which was broken on launch.

Blizzard does not care about fun or enjoyment nor anything outside of getting your money.

After this patch, they destroyed the fun.
They didn't improve about the stash..the inventory instead they nerfed everything to push ourselves to playing seasons. Awful tactic

Instead of nerfing whirlwind and shouts or buffing everyone else they nerf everyone and then reduce cooldown reduction by 30% ! What a joke.

I am a casual player (play 1-3 days a week for about 1-4 hours).

Huge diablo fan, i played D2 for thousands of hours and D3 for a few hundred. I have been waiting for D4 for years playing D2 vanilla and mods until the D4 release. At first, i thought that the game looked great, but realized how much of a sh*t show it was pretty fast. (Played as hard as i could with a job and a 9month old

I bought the 4 days before release including the season 1 battle pass, but the game has been uninstalled and will stay until this game becomes fun.

I spent thousands of dollars on Path of exile because i strongly believe on supporting games you like.

This thing is nothing less than a really really really expensive bad game.

for each new update new errors appear, it seems that I am playing alpha test instead of the final game, each patch that comes instead of helping only worsens the health of the game to the point of seeming that they are making fun of my face. They want to delay the leveling, but they worsen the game more and more, I paid 500 reais for a game that is not worth the price

This is not a review bomb, for any fanboy white knights that think it's crazy someone wouldn't like their crap game. The game is just bad. It's full of annoyance and hardly any fun. The developers intentionally nerfed eternal realm characters to push people to seasons where there will be monetization. There is nothing fun to do. Don't waste your money.

With season 1, they gave players an inch in QoL, but a mile up the ass.

The base campaign was already terrible in both writing and experience (30-hour tutorial before the "real" game). Class balance was terrible to start, but was absolutely shafted for season 1. It's literally a "prevent every smooth and fun build" patch, with a side dish of "Barbarians killed my parents, nerf

Only good things they did was fix level requirements for gear and make reputation easier to grind. Unfortunately, they decided to 1) nerf all classes 2) nerf offensive capability overall 3) nerf defensive capability overall 4) buff enemies 5) drastically nerf xp gains 6) made item affix pools larger 7) specifically took a massive dump on Barbarians with the new additions to their heart/aspect/unique, just to stay consistent with the treatment they gave the whole pre-season.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game had a pretty Ok launch. It had many bugs, however player base ignored that simply because at first the game looked fun.
Once people started reaching the end of the campaign, leveling from 50-100 became a lot more repetitve, tho you as a player sticked to NMD, Helltides, Whisper Trees, World Bosses.
Once I got to level 70 it all started to be even more boring, suddenly my only options where Helltides and NMD, (and from time to time Worldboss).
Once you get to level 100, only thing left to do is grind, grind and grind. I get it, all of this might be part of an ARPG?
But then I decided to levelup a couple of alters and TBH, my sorcerer early game was fun, but after 50 I simply leveled it up just because I wanted to see its endgame, spoiler, mostly trash, and I tried several builds.
The rogue, however it was fun to play from the very early to the endgame, tho In comparison to my necromancer (my main char) it never dealt as much damage, but I don't see that as a problem, since necromancer was designed that way (a bit OP, to my taste).

When patch 1.1.0a came and I read balance patch I was thrilled to read patch notes, maybe they went for an small step towards a balanced game, but I still was missing fundamental features like:
    - More stash space.
    - Turning gems into artisan material (to save up inventory space).
    - Adding loadouts
    - Increasing the amount of end-game content.
    - Social features, like global chat, LFG
    - Many other features actively requested by the community.

Don't get me wrong I get it, you can't get all the content at the start of a game, but then I went over the patch notes for 1.1.0a and I could not believe what I was reading, they basically nerfed EVERY class, except for rogue (or better said, rogue was the one coming out of it in the better shape).
And they nerfed XP, consequently slowing everyone's progress in the game.

So I was pissed of, after investing hundreds of hours at the game Blizzard was just releasing a patch that effectively was making the gameplay WORSE, making the Eternal Realm not a viable option for the majority anymore. So the only hope was the Seasonal Realm

Today I decided, even after the disastrous 1.1.0a patch, give a try to the seasonal content, and after 5hours of play I just went off-line, everything is much more less fun to play.
And about balancing (the one thing they were supposedly addressing with the latest patch) mostly everyone is playing Rogue, Necro or Druid in this order and my necro which was OP is still OP, just doing half the damage.

In conclusion, i would not recommend anyone buying the game, at least for the time being.

    The bad:

    1. severe lack of understanding how their own game's balance works 2. Classes barely have more than 2 viable specs. Pair that with nerfing everyone and buffing monsters. Why? 3. nerfs all classes, including the weakest class - what? 4. inventory is bad (gems...smaller items should be smaller.) 5. no dungeon finder (isn't this an MMO?) 6. stability issues even a month after

    7. Major UI enhancements needed to match D3 in terms of UI/UX...a game that came out a LONG time ago. It can be a different game without HAVING to have different UI/UX things deleted from existence.
    8. Can't respec easily. Costs way too much money. Needs a template system and more reasonable costs
    9. Can't easily redo paragons. Costs too much. Needs a template system or at least a way to delete them all back to a certain point
    10. loot in WT4 is a joke. Same stuff 60-100. Needs more granularity here and a better system. I don't want to click through every item and see if it has the 4 stats I need. Needs a filter.

    The good:

    1. The story was pretty good

I love having to farm new "fun" dungeons that make old ones obsolete, where the actual good loot is unobtainable until you've farmed them 5 times already. They made anti-QoL changes. The game already had numerous issues, and they actually made it worse...

Well over premium pricing for a very repetitive and super grindy game that offers players few choices how to play and NO choices to play once they complete the campaign. Grind your way to max level if you want, your reward is to do that grind all over again if you want the Battle Pass rewards. If you don't want to start the game over at lvl 1 every 3 months, this game isn't for you.

I have little time to play, but I was finding it cool, playing as a sorcerer. I made it about halfway through the game and was excited about the evolution. But then came a patch that ended all possibilities for the endgame. I was quite disappointed.

Cashgrab ARPG without any meaningful or fun endgame content wrapped in some pretty graphics.

The Blizzard we once loved does not exist anymore. This franchise is dead, and the only thing that matters for Activision/Blizzard is to make their shareholders happy. The absolute worst ARPG I have ever played. Do NOT buy this game if you're a fan of actual ARPG's looking for any fun

All the user helpful things like gear sets, increased bank space, and quick teleports are nowhere to be seen. They give us a Mount but it is useless.

To top it all off, they would rather you take more time leveling. Seasons are only 3 months, for a casual player, noone would EVER level to max in that time. Leveling up is the most boring aspect to any Diablo game! We just want to get to end game, so we can work on loot and building character power. D4 Fails as a ARPG!!

While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
