ADR1FT on PS4 confirms its nature of highly spectacular orbital exploration experience, but also remains limited in length, plot and game's mechanics. And the lack of a virtual reality console version will be a pity, in the near launch of PS VR.- The Games Machine

Deadly Premonition 2 is not Swery's gaming maturity, but it is perhaps his consecration as a screenwriter, storyteller of the bizarre, creator of unforgettable characters. His ambition, however, clashes with the limited budget and, probably, with Toybox's modest ability to create gameplay. But these are works that must be left to rest, metabolized and then perhaps rediscovered, like a nice b-movie, ready to become one of our favorites when the time is right.- The Games Machine

Contra Rogue Corps is the disappointing final chapter of a saga that has seen better days due to monotonous and trivial gameplay, along with a mediocre artistic direction.- The Games Machine

The one thing we can honestly say about Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is that is a missed opportunity. And it's a shame, because the huge amount of bugs and the insane checkpoint system ruin an otherwise good tactical shooter. Hopefully, CI Games will fix most of its problems in the near future.- The Games Machine

Sker Ritual is a classic horror cooperative shooter (also playable in single player) in which you'll find elements already seen in similar games, from Call of Duty's Zombie mode to Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor. Technical issued highlighted the need for updates to make the gaming experience smoother and more satisfying. We also hope that the developers will get busy releasing new content in the near future because the four maps now available quickly tend towards repetitiveness.- The Games Machine

Dolmen, in its current state, is a game that seldomly works. Not very consistent and with poorly conceived mechanics. Frankly, what was published looks more like an early build that still needs months of optimization and polish.- The Games Machine

Albedo is basically a one-man game, a clever and funny arcade adventure, filled with good puzzles and a delightful atmosphere of a sci-fi movie of the '60s. An overall enjoyable experience, partially ruined by a stiff control system.- The Games Machine

The main idea behind Trials of the Blood Dragon is absolutely fantastic, but the execution is not equally well developed. The game is a confused jumble of levels and situations, where only the levels with the bike are worthy of your time. For hardcore fans of the Trials series only.- The Games Machine

Color us not impressed: despite being delayed numerous times, Mighty no. 9 is a derivative, short and technically mediocre game. Recommended only if you truly miss Mega Man, and if you already played other (and better) tributes like Shovel Knight.- The Games Machine

Short, dull, and technically weak, The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia is a mediocre game, that will probably be appreciated only by the younger and more hardcore fans of the saga created by Nakaba Suzuki.- The Games Machine

Re-Legion is based on some interesting ideas and has a nice cyberpunk setting. Sadly there’s only one game mode (the single player campaign), and overall the game feels very easy due to a lackluster AI.- The Games Machine

Let's be brutally honest: this new edition of Titan Quest is simply terrible. Technically it's a disaster, with a constant flow of bugs and glitches that seriously undermine the game experience (there are still references to the keyboards commands). It's too bad, because the original game was a great hack 'n slash.- The Games Machine

The tormented development of Homefront: The Revolution shows in gameplay that is far from perfect, and ruined by a myriad of bugs. The urban scenery is quite varied, there are some good ideas in the weaponry and the gadgets departments, but this is a game we can recommend only to fans of the peculiar, dystopic setting.- The Games Machine

As a typical "video game" The Tomorrow Children fails in its purpose to entertain the players for more than a couple of evenings, but if you look at it as a sociological experiment, than you could find more than a source of interest. It's a free to play game, so you can give it a chance without spending a single penny.- The Games Machine

This reboot is a very big fail. The good subject is wasted because of a careless and a technically poor execution. Just buy the original trilogy and live happy.- The Games Machine

Follia: Dear Father is a simple but intriguing survival horror made by small Italian software house. As many other indie titles, it is full of nice ideas but crippled by lots of imperfections. Its VR nature makes it hard to be enjoyed from a normal screen.- The Games Machine

When it comes to porting triple A titles to the Switch, Panic Button is an experienced and capable developer, and Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch is an impressive technical feat. This time, however, the challenge might have been too great, and the compromises required of the player too excessive.- The Games Machine

Blind Fate: Edo no Yami in my opinion lives on lights and shadows: on the one hand it boasts fabulous ideas, honestly well recreated and described, especially in the advanced stages where the narrative also acquires a good level of maturity in the themes exposed, but to make the whole thing decay we think the stages of combat. Too bad, because Troglobytes Games has all the right cards to shine.- The Games Machine

A third chapter that sticks to its predecessor in every possible way. While Revenants does not lack interesting aspects, it also painfully shows its low budget nature. In particular, confusing combat and poorly delivered story are its most significant flaws.- The Games Machine

Without considering its aim, RIOT may seem just a poor RTS. However, its ability to integrate gameplay’s limits in a dialogue between them and the game’s thesis made RIOT a really experimental and interesting game, unique in its own approach to the genre.- The Games Machine

Crackdown 3 comes directly from the past, from an era in which the open-world action games focused mainly on the number of things to do, to the detriment of the overall quality and variety of situations. This does not mean that the formula proposed by Sumo Digital doesn’t work: far from it. But it’s linked to a now anachronistic concept of a genre that has evolved over the last couple of years into something that goes beyond the simple repetition of the same tasks throughout the duration of the campaign.- The Games Machine

More than twenty years after Defiance, Legacy of Kain: Ascendance proves to be a bitter disappointment. Instead of honoring the saga’s complex narrative background, Bit Bot Media’s title offers a clumsy retcon that resembles terrible fan fiction. In terms of gameplay, we are presented with a banal 2D platformer—devoid of any real challenge—that can be completed in under three hours, all while cycling through inconsistent art styles and an annoying soundtrack. This is decidedly not the title we deserved, especially after such a long wait.- The Games Machine

The Funko Pop phenomenon finally arrives in the world of videogames and, taking its cue from LEGO titles, tries to reach a similar audience with simple and immediate gameplay. Unfortunately the result is not what was hoped for due to some questionable design choices and several small bugs that spoil rhythm and enjoyment. Also almost totally missing is the ‘collectibles factor’ that we hoped would be a staple of this production.- The Games Machine

Foreclosed manages to condense in a single game a decent shooter, a basic role-playing game and, why not, even a bit of science fiction thriller, which doesn't hurt. The problem, however, is who exactly this game is meant for: it is too light as an FPS, too basic as an RPG, and the puzzles aren’t deep enough for an adventure. It needs someone who wants to simply live a cyberpunk experience, as long as your expectations aren’t set too high.- The Games Machine
