    Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a crude and poor video game, but it is not lacking in inventiveness. What I’m wondering is if, unlike other similar multiplayer titles, it will have time to evolve and improve over time, or if Bandai Namco will put an end to its service before the game formula is refined and enriched as it needs to be.

    Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance is a double-edged sword. The setting and the characters are sure to appeal to an R. A. Salvatore fan, and there are hints of a fun, entertaining game here and there. But they are often overshadowed by the many issues, such as extremely poor enemy AI and questionable design choices.

    In a different year, Airplane Mode would be a nothing more than a nice joke, a strange experiment forgotten in a couple of days. In this strange 2020, AMC’s first game is instead a sort of relief from the lockdown we are living in. If you miss being stuck in an uncomfortable chair, bored to death for hours, this is the game for you.

    Eternal Crusade is a funny multiplayer TPS, with a lot of factions, classes and weapons. Unfortunately, the game has been released too soon and has too many issues currently. Unless you're avid fans of Warhammer, you should wait for a price cut and more than a couple of updates.

    Putting aside its many technical issues, Fallout 76 offers an empty world in which, paradoxically, there are many things to do, but everything appears to be an end in itself. There is something good in this game, but it’s crippled by a bland world design and a non-existent plot. This is a game that may be able to entertain, but boredom is always dangerously around the corner.

    Silver Chains is an intriguing game set in a good old mansion haunted by ghosts and evil spirits. Its eerie atmosphere will keep you on the edge of your seat as you unravel the mysteries of this ancestral home and the madness that devoured it. Unfortunately, the experience is also marred by a framerate that frequently dips below 30 fps and bugs that will force you to load an earlier save state.

    Carmageddon: Max Damage tries really hard to bring back the memories of the weird, yet successful Stainless Games series. Unfortunately, it reaches the goal: the gameplay is almost identical to the original (with very few fresh ideas), the AI is as bad as before, and the technical quality is definitely subpar. A mediocre game that will probably please the fans of Max Damage, and just them.

    Frozenbyte tries to deliver a stealth game with some unique gameplay dynamics, but it falls tremendously short: the AI is awful, the controls are inaccurate and awkward. The main gameplay feature, i.e. the idea of the time moving only when the player moves, simply doesn't work. A real missed opportunity.

    We wish we'd loved Double Dragon IV a little bit more. It can be chaotic and frustrating, with some obvious problems (no online play! How is that even possible?) and a pretty limited arsenal. But it has the true, genuine Double Dragon's DNA, and that's all that matters to a real fan. It won't cost you but a few bucks, and that's also nice.

    If you're willing to forgive a certain amount of roughness and a basic combat system, 1348 Ex Voto will take you on a pleasant journey through medieval Tuscany lasting five or six hours, depending on your patience with exploration. I'm not a keen observer, so I missed a lot of upgrades, but I still enjoyed the game.

    Pixel Piracy is a pirate-themed roguelike, pretty basic in its gameplay dynamics and with a good leveling system. The control system is a little bit messy, and so is the interface. Not as deep or replayable as Faster Than Light, though.

    A multi-discipline sports title starring the Looney Tunes is a good idea... in theory. Unfortunately with only nine characters, four disciplines and two modes Wacky World of Sports translates it into a game poor in both content and depth

    Extinction is a rather unpretentious blend of Shadow of the Colossus, Assassin’s Creed and God of War. There's some parkour action, some humans to rescue and many giant monsters to decapitate. The main quest is pretty thin, gameplay and story wise, and you'll end up enjoying the various and challenging secondary objectives of every mission much more.

    Despite a quite brilliant look, the 27 minigames designed by Shiver Entertainment are meaningful and fun only for a couple of nights with friends. Unfortunately, they soon become a clumsy attempt to recycle well know mechanics in very superficial way.

    Eisenhorn: XENOS tells the beautiful and engaging story of the Inquisitor, as told in the Dan Abnett's novels, and that's about it. Everything else is mediocre and boring, including the level design and the combat system, flawed by the fact that it's been designed for mobile platforms.
