Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris is a mediocre game, ambitious but incapable of realizing its vision, plagued by an inadequate and lazy realization. Only for the most dedicated fans of Sword Art Online.- The Games Machine

Developing a Battle Royale in pace with the times starting from the gameplay of Pac-Man, released in 1980, without disrupting its nature, must have been very difficult indeed. PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle Chomp Champs partially succeeds, offering a very interesting formula in the first few game sessions, which gradually reveals all the limits, with no additional modes to keep the momentum going. In a couple of hours you get to see all that the video game has to offer, after that it is only a matter of time before the fun begins to fade. If you are looking for fast-paced and colorful competitive multiplayer, however, it might be for you.- The Games Machine

Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions is like a 90’s game: good for short sessions of play, with only few modes, a cheating AI and a lot of pressing the same button over and over. Despite all that, it manages to be entertaining for a few hours, but you’ll soon get bored of fighting the same boxer but with a different skin. The strange, over the top narrative Arcade is enjoyable, but with just one more mode (Versus), there’s no way to get to the twelve round without getting tired of its basic mechanics.- The Games Machine

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a gaming experience at its most mediocre, packed with all the worst practices that the videogame industry can offer and completely decimated by an embarrassing level of polish. This looter shooter seems to want to squander its large budget, failing to develop its premise in a way that is at least remotely meaningful.- The Games Machine

Track design, off-road arcade driving and nice scenarios make V-Rally 4 a game worth trying; unfortunately, asphalt races, career and Buggy/Rally Cross are much less enjoyable.- The Games Machine

Space Hulk: Deathwing is one of the best action monuments ever developed around Warhammer 40K, and yet the unstable framerate, the uncertainties of the AI and the poor structuring of the co-op drag the game a little bit lower than it deserved.- The Games Machine

Simply put, Shroud of the Avatar is a wreck. It tries to be a single player experience and a MMORPG at the same time, and fails on both counts. Everything is out of time: the combat system is boring, the progression of the avatar is repetitive, and the the graphics would have been OK fifteen years ago.- The Games Machine

Wanted: Dead has a very entertaining combat system based mainly on the use of white weapons, full of ultra-violence, blood, dismemberments, combos and particularly devastating final techniques, but it limps in everything else: the AI of our team and the enemies is not efficient, the minigames are sometimes a pretext to unlock some collectible, other times an interruption between one mission and another, and the story, however interesting to follow, continuously breaks the action. The final question is: is a triumph of blades enough to justify the purchase? Definitely yes, if you loved the slasher films of the early 2000s, otherwise you might find the offer a bit scarce.- The Games Machine

The real problem with 1-2-Switch is the steep price: 50 bucks is a lot of money for a bunch of cute minigames (half of which are meh). There are some occasions when 1-2-Switch shows the great potential of the new Nintendo console, but it's not enough to justify the buy.- The Games Machine

Reynatis offers an interesting story and bloody fights with a dual system between defense and attack that is really engaging, especially in the boss fights with gigantic monsters. Unfortunately, exploring Tokyo and the parallel world Another is not as engaging, since apart from rare situations it turns out to be little more than a walking simulator. Technically it is not excellent, with models and textures that recall what we saw on PS3, but at least there are no slowdowns or dropped frames. If you are looking for a story full of charismatic characters, it could be for you.- The Games Machine

Sonic Forces has an intriguing concept and shows some high production values, but at the end of the day this translates in some shallow and rambling ideas, and a main character that fails to create any empathy with the player. It's not a bad game per se, but an anonymous one.- The Games Machine

A series of interesting boss fights clashes with the general treatment of the Chinese indie game, lowering the quality to the point of not doing it justice. Nevertheless the challenge offered brings with it great intuitions.- The Games Machine

When it comes to art direction ad writing, The Way of Life is full of interesting and intriguing elements. The same is not true for gameplay, with a lot of repetitive mechanics and routines that ruin the flow of the game and sometimes break the attention of the player. Nonetheless, a bold first effort.- The Games Machine

An aesthetically fine action roguelite that does not offer any particular gameplay cues but allows itself to be enjoyed. It lacks a bit of optimization that materializes in a few too many stumbles both at the technical level and in usability.- The Games Machine

The House of the Dead Remake is a game rooted on nostalgia and zombies, but fails to bring an entertaining experience on Nintendo Switch due to the many issues with its control scheme. A pity, since the juicy arcade gameplay and extras would have deserved all of your love.- The Games Machine

A classic beat ‘em up lacking any particular flare of originality, but enjoyable to play and quite rich in content. The combat system is simple but sufficiently articulated to make the fights varied and appropriately challenging. What is missing for now is an online co-op mode, promised in future updates by the development team, and some intervention is urgently needed to correct a few technical issues.- The Games Machine

A gothic and bloody old-style TPS with massive explosions and BIG guns. It doesn't have the charisma of Devil May Cry or Bayonetta, and its gameplay is partially flawed by some annoying issues... but you won't regret the time you'll spend with it.- The Games Machine

Technically it's not the best game around, but keep in mind that Earthlock is an independent production, and as such it must be treated. If you're looking for a light and not too demanding experience, with an intriguing battle system, fun to play from the beginning to the end, Earthlock is the right choice.- The Games Machine

Chornobyl Liquidators offers a poignant and intimate story, presenting a real playful structure. It entertains and engages for the entire five hours it takes to get to the end credits, also reinforced by brilliant writing and memorable dialogues capable of transporting you to another brutal reality. It could move those who, impressed by the television series, have left their hearts in the story of the most tragic nuclear power plant in the world.- The Games Machine

With its poor graphics and a lower amount of content than the previous chapter, Farming Simulator 23 raises more than one perplexity. Once you find the right rhythm, you will see some interesting ideas, but the impression is that, with a little more foresight, a more enjoyable simulation could be ob-tained without compromising its "pure and hard" soul.- The Games Machine
