The DioField Chronicle is a partially successful Square enix experiment. Excellent hybrid game mechanics, but everything else is a constant repetition of the same missions, without adding anything new.- The Games Machine

Abortion, women's rights and the fight against fascism are just three of the various themes that conduct the player along Wheels of Aurelia, a proud "on the road" adventure that tells about a difficult moment of Italian history. The game is fun, but you must be prepared to live the same dialogues many times to discover all the 16 finals.- The Games Machine

Project Babel: New Tokyo Legacy is basically a big "more of the same", without any noticeable innovation. It's an excellent dungeon crawler if you're a newcomer to the series, or the genre altogether.- The Games Machine

Despite being a jack of all trade (and master of none), Bright Memory: Infinite is still a game both frantic and visually impressive, but it’s also very short. Maybe too short.- The Games Machine

Fallout Shelter is a pretty nice game for mobile devices. The same cannot be said for the PC version, troubled by a complicated installation process, a control scheme too much "mobile-oriented" and the lack of a cross-save feature. But it's free, so it may be worth a try.- The Games Machine

Empire of Sin is a competent hybrid that borrows mechanics from tycoon games, turn-based tactics and RPGs. Unfortunately, the game is plagued by numerous bugs and glitches that risk compromising the experience.- The Games Machine

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is not for those looking for fine technicalities, both in graphics and gameplay. It is a decent pastime for the early hours that hides the potential to create its own fan base, but to allow it to do so, more content is needed and a review of the multiplayer section starting with the integration of effective 6VS6 PVP, to allow the most competitive to challenge each other without bots in the way.- The Games Machine

What a pity! Impact Winter could have been a great survival game, but it's affected by so many issues that it's impossible to reward Mojo Bones' work with more than a generous sixty-five. Anyhow, you should keep an eye on it: the future patches could fix at least the major bugs and transform a caterpillar in a wonderful butterfly.- The Games Machine

Finally someone who doesn't use pixel art for their nostalgia project! Unfortunately though, SolSeraph is too easy for hardcore players and its tower defense sections are sub-par in their genre. Good boss fights might have saved it, but no luck there.- The Games Machine

Booknound Brigade, just like the books from which it draws inspiration, can become an excellent travel companion: a challenging metroidvania with clear mechanics, amusing and intelligent in its many ideas.- The Games Machine

When a new idea arises in a genre where recycling is the new normal, it’s always good news: and this is the case with Gods Will Fall, who reminds us that challenging the gods is quite the gamble. Unfortunately, even if the idea is clever enough to be appreciable even when it causes anger, it does not appear to be supported by an equally valid gameplay. The boss fights with the giant gods are quite entertaining to play, but the tons of repetitive battles against uninteresting enemies that you have to face to get there feel way less intriguing.- The Games Machine

With Renegades, Bungie tries an ambitious crossover, but it ends up making Destiny 2 lose its uniqueness. The inspiration from the Star Wars saga feels forced, with a weak story, unconvincing characters, and a universe that ends up being corrupted by alien elements. The campaign is short, the activities are repetitive, and new features are virtually nonexistent. It's only saved from complete disaster by its solid gameplay and a few flashes of brilliance here and there. Definitely not enough to revitalize a struggling live service suffering from an obvious identity crisis.- The Games Machine

Ghost Blade HD is a pretty good old-style bullet hell (the original version was published on Dreamcast two years ago), albeit a little too derivative and not so original. You'll have probably already played something better in the past, but there are not so many games like this on the PSN, and the 2-player mode is really fun.- The Games Machine

OVERPASS is a technical, adventurous off-road, where the skill lies more in knowing the terrain than in sinking on the accelerator. One of a kind, dirty and fun, albeit with some technical burrs.- The Games Machine

Agents of Mayhem lacks some inventiveness and the level design is often uninspired. It's basic in the gameplay dynamics, but nonetheless can be pretty fun. Don't expect anything too fancy, or rich, content-wise: if you loved Saints Row, this is the perfect filler before the beginning of the new gaming season.- The Games Machine

Warsaw cannot be defined as a mere clone of Darkest Dungeon, because it has its personality and a gameplay with a lot of combinations. Pixelated Milk has created a game that deserves a chance if you like the genre and/or if you want to learn more about what happened during the Uprising.- The Games Machine

The idea is intriguing and it works, but the technical implementation leaves something to be desired and there are balancing problems. However, the question is not whether the game is fun, but for how long it will be with so little content.- The Games Machine

Total War: ROME II – Empire Divided is a mixed bag. There are some new, intriguing mechanics, some ideas borrowed from previous installments, but at the same time the gameplay still suffers from the same problems of the original ROME II, and there are some notable absences such as the Hordes. At the end of the day, it's a missed opportunity.- The Games Machine

Destruction AllStars is, above all, fun and enjoyable mayhem, supported by a very polished technical aspect and an undeniably cool stylistic approach. The choice to launch it as part of the Plus Collection will certainly give it a huge boost in terms of playerbase – certainly more than its 80,99€ launch price would have attracted otherwise – but, as usual, these kinds of games are a matter of endurance. And for how long Destruction AllStars manages to keep its audience engaged remains to be seen.- The Games Machine

Necromunda: Hired Gun is a fast-paced FPS that makes the most of the Warhammer 40K license. The attention to even the smallest detail by the developers and the excellent level design are the setting for a dynamic and frenetic shooter. Unfortunately, just like Streum On Studio’s previous titles, this latest video game by the French team is plagued by a number of technical problems and issues in the AI department.- The Games Machine

Fans of the World of Darkness will certainly find at least the atmosphere, good characters, and an enjoyable plot, thanks in part to the fact that big-budget vampire-themed games don't come flooding in. Fans of the first game for its RPG aspect and replayability will find almost nothing here except pale homages. It's up to you to decide where you stand between these two extremes. As a side note, I feel it's important to note that compared to The Chinese Room's typical output, this game still represents significant ambitions and a first for the English studio. Perhaps the experience gained will one day bear sweeter fruit, without leaving a legacy too burdensome to manage.- The Games Machine
