The first Darksiders still remains a game developed with competence and most of all concrete passion for gaming; its limits are consequences of both hurry and inexperience. All its flaws were reasonable on old-gen, but the flowing of years has grown them bigger, and this is a thing we cannot neglect by reviewing it today. But we must also honestly say that a very little effort is enough to overcome all these flaws and live War’s quest with the intensity it deserves.

Season: A Letter to the Future is a unique narrative experience, which reminds us how precious every single moment of life is as we face a season on the verge of its end. You will be captured by the atmosphere of the game and it will be difficult to detach yourself until the epilogue; at the same time, however, it is a journey to be played at a slow pace, enjoying the landscape views and the memories left by the characters who have inhabited this world, without the rush to get to the end credits. Kind of how one should live, after all.

Screamer is the electric jolt that the pure arcade genre desperately needed: a racing game like this (and potentially of this quality) hasn’t been seen for a very, very long time, far too long. The only doubt concerns its long-term staying power: it will be the strength of the community and the variety of post-launch content that determine whether this title can stand strong beyond the excitement of its first week.

It's a set of foundations, pretty solid and full of potential in truth, on which Bungie in the coming months could build wonders. Mario Tennis Fever hits its main goal by putting the pure arcade tennis experience front and center. Fast-paced, fun, and built on several smart ideas, above all is extremely solid in its core mechanics. Gundam Breaker 4 is likely a dream come true for any fan of the franchise. The ability to customize your Gunpla down to the smallest detail makes this game ideal for long-time collectors of models from the series who can’t wait to experiment with the endless parts available. However, the game is not without its flaws, which are hard to overlook, even for die-hard fans. For instance, while the combat is enjoyable due to the variety of builds you can create, it feels underdeveloped in several areas. Additionally, most missions follow a similar structure, leading to a sense of repetition early on. The story is nothing remarkable, though younger players might find it appealing. On the other hand, the multiplayer component could be a significant plus if you’re able to find a well-coordinated team to play with.

It is useless to get around it: we all feared that Dead Island 2 was vaporware at first, and then that it would arrive on the shelves not quite in shape, after a long, complicated development that did not bode well. And instead, for once, we are here to tell you about a happy ending: even without rewriting new pages in the history of first-person action RPGs, Dambuster Studios' zombie game turns out to be hilarious, long-lived, with only a handful of mechanics to internalize and lots of fun for those who will. The strengths are represented by the accuracy of the FLESH system, which changes the approach to certain clashes, by the iconicity of many of the locations visited, by the good level of challenge and even by a cooperative that proved to be solid during our tests . On the other hand, neither the feeling of firearms nor the technical sector limited by cross-gen development have fully convinced us, but the final balance remains largely positive.
