Even though AVGNA doesn't add anything new to the platform genre, this game can count on very well crafted gameplay that can and will delight any gamer who doesn't fear real challenges. It is hard, it is not forgiving, but it is also tremendously rewarding. You definitely won't regret buying it if you've grown up during the '80s, just keep in mind it ends, and it ends damn soon. It's up to you to decide if two hours of very good gameplay are worth your 15 bucks.

The music selection, the quantity of unlockable contents and GDR elements are good, but long loading times, the general hard difficulty and button mashing mechanics ruin the work.

Bloodless mixes some of the combat mechanics inspired by Sekiro, with a strong emphasis on dodges, precision movements and countermoves. Not everything works perfectly, the pacing is a bit slow at times and there is a feeling that the whole adventure is a bit too drawn out.

A really good game but some new features or will divide its fanbase. It's better thant the fifth chapter, but will not top the previous installments of the series.

Call of Duty Warfare Infinite comes to the market with a lot of content, but little that is truly innovative. The campaign goes smoothly and lasts six hours, with no major twists. Specialist, perhaps, is the most interesting element of the mode and seems deliberately hidden and not valued properly. Jackal and Zero-G are interesting, but also have little space in the game. As for the multiplayer, there are new classes and the introduction of the crafting and "Mission Teams", of great interest for a greater involvement in the progression of the character, partially fails to evolve the game mechanics and gunplay. Zombies in Spaceland has no real problems but, apart from the madness of the situation and the many easter eggs, it repeats more or less the same concept of the series. In summary, a solid product that doesn't dare, but perhaps it should. Because the contents are so many and not bad, but the fun is sometimes hard to come by.

Dead Trigger 2 is the new game developed by Madfinger. The game, that is free, has a good graphic and the controls and the gameplay are very simple. The story is too short and an internet connection is necessary to play with Dead Trigger 2.

Pearl Abyss built a vast world and then filled it with everything, as if emptiness were an enemy to be defeated through sheer volume of content. The result is a game that almost never gets boring, but that only rarely moves you in the deep, lasting way that the titles it borrows from manage to do.

Immediate and funny, Costume Quest is a funny arcade game, one you should really try on Halloween night.

Sniper Elite 4 is a good TPS, that has the guilty to not improve a lot from the previous chapter: sniping is good but the mechanics are always the same; on the other hand, the map and the exploration are quite good.

Fabledom is an ideal city builder for those seeking a cozy gameplay experience. However, it doesn't take any significant risks in its gameplay and may be overshadowed by the numerous high-quality city builders currently saturating the market.

On one hand Turtle Rock Studios has managed to optimize the game with good results, and the visual impact of the CryEngine does not disappoint. In contrast there is still room for an upgrade (it seems imminent) that solves at least two or three nasty bugs and, once again, playing Evolve without any friends could not make much sense.

MotoGP 21 is a little step ahead for the series, but the advent of the next-gen consoles doesn’t mean a revolution for the Milestone racing franchise.

Tranformers: War for Cybertron is a great first episode of a new saga. The game is quite enjoyable, even if it lacks some big moment. It also has a nice multiplayer mode, surprisingly complete and well built.

Bloober Team has hit the mark once again, proving how the experience accumulated over years and years of horror productions is leading to titles of ever-increasing quality. Cronos: The New Dawn started out as a new IP with everything to prove, and it managed to win us over thanks to a captivating setting supported by an intense atmosphere, perfectly functioning survival horror mechanics, and excellent level design. We’re convinced that for many fans of the genre, Cronos could become a name to watch in the future, but for now, enjoy this excellent beginning.

Ys Origin is a good throwback to a time when action RPG were much simpler than they are today, but also a reminder that simple gameplay can be enjoyable and fun even ten or more hours later. The only downsides are a short length and a lack of variety, but this is nonetheless recommended to Adol Christin fans.

While Gothic sails away to other developers, Piranha Bytes turns the tide with this return to the origins of true RPG. Deep, polished, compelling, Risen is an RPG for RPG true lovers. Some small glitches and a general lack of accessibility make it step down a little bit on the score, but it's still THE game to have if you love RPGs.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is a fuller gaming experience compared to its previous game. However, for better or worse, it's still almost identical to its predecessor.

Zeboyd has done better, especially in the lenght department. But this is still a fun and ridiculously underpriced homage to the jrpg genre.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War on Switch adds nothing new, but it is - like four years ago - the same wonderful game.

BlazBlue Continuum Shift 2 is only an upgrade of the first game for PSP. Unfortunately there is no online mode, and the graphics seem to be worse.

Toukiden 2 is both a solid hunting game and a vast open world, and even if it cannot match the ones from the AAA games seen recently (from Horizon to Breath of the Wild), it has more than enough juice to keep fan busy for at least a couple of weeks. If you liked the previous titles, you'll find much more of the same here and a couple of new twists that add to the gameplay.

Despite being the worst version of the game, halfway between the last and the current gen, Darksiders Warmastered Edition on Wii U instills a little more life in the dying Nintendo console, offering a strong action adventure at a bargain price.

We expect much more than what has been done so far.

Foretales is a game that perfectly succeeds in creating a story of infinite possibilities. A cross between a fantasy board game and a good book set in the Middle Ages.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is a nice addition to the series: the brand goes back to the origins, with an excellent tracklist strongly focused on rock and metal. If you're a fan of the genre, this is definetly a must buy.

Obviously, if the gachas and the character and equipment obtaining system in the other Hoyoverse titles don't appeal to you, then it certainly won't be Zenless Zone Zero that will change your mind - but, beyond that, this new title is certainly a more than valid action RPG that underlines the great awareness achieved by Hoyoverse, which only moves when it is sure of hitting the mark.

A grimdark take on King Arthur's saga that is a pleasant surprise for tactical RPG lovers.

Remothered is a brilliant game, with an old school gameplay and a mysterious and engaging narrative background. An Italian success, one of the best indie games of the genre in recent years.

Warhammer: Dawn of War III is a new starting point, with many new features in the gameplay, but not everyone will appreciate the changes made by Relic. Surely, no one will love the spare content.

Mixing a strong horror atmosphere and a solid “slo-mo” gameplay, F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin shines for the extension of the new levels. Its linearity isn’t necessarily a drawback (at least not for “old style” FPS fans), but it could still spoil the fun for next gen gamers, used to much more “open” games. Despite all of this, Monolith’s baby delivers a solid experience, and every FPS fan should at least give it a good try.

This time the simulation is about an entire kingdom, and one that's "filled with content". Gameplay is sometimes too easy and streamlined, but the fans can't miss it this time around.

Solar Ash is a solid second effort from the talented people at Heart Machine Games, with an intoxicating sense of freedom, good boss fights and a gorgeous soundtrack. It's less polished and less deep than its predecessor, but it's worth your time and money.

If it had had some more varied mechanics and a deeper puzzle design, Hue could have been a really peculiar game. Unfortunately, as it is, it's just an easy canonical puzzle-platformer game, barely supported by an interesting concept and a gorgeous minimalist art style.

Immortals Fenyx Rising has clear sources of 'inspiration' but also has a generally well crafted puzzle component that allows it to self itself apart from previous Ubisoft open world games.

A Jrpg with a great combat system that could be a true gem in the genre, but falls short in the story department and is weakened by the impressive amount of backtracking during the campaign.

If you love Metal Gear saga and don’t own UnMetal, then you’re missing one of the greatest tribute experiences that genre has to offer.

It may be an interesting starting title for newcomers, but the fans of the saga won't find much innovation in it.

While Square's effort to bring to modern console its old goodies is commendable, SaGa Frontier Remastered is just an average RPG with a few highs and just as many lows.

Invincible VS is a fighting game that works in the short term, thanks to an accessible system and a strong identity inherited from the series, but that struggles to find a true direction in the medium term. The simplification of gameplay, a negligible story mode and an inconsistent technical execution limit a project that could have aimed for much more. It remains an enjoyable title in the first few hours, but one that risks losing its appeal quickly, especially in an already crowded competitive landscape.

The Switch version of The World ends with you is a nice one, albeit not perfect: the price is too high and we're still wondering why the Pro Controller is not supported in TV mode. Still, what we have here is one of the best JRPG of the DS era, which is a lot to say by itself.

Improving on the original in many ways, De Blob 2 is a funny and colourful platform experience.

As Dusk Falls is undoubtedly a better written game than all the others created by Quantic Dream. with beautiful and complex characters and a compelling and mature story.

In less than four hours, this game by Level-5 completes its magic, drawing a line that starts from the wonder of childhood, goes through the disillusionment of adults and culminates with the inevitable impacts against reality. Japanese developers still know how to propose these themes in an alternative and, above all, enjoyable way.
