After many hours playing as detective Miles Edgeworth in the Ace Attorney collection, I am left with a bittersweet feeling. While it’s exciting to play as Edgeworth again, the original Ace Attorney formula seems to have been diluted to fit this character, who does not share the same role as the more well-known lawyers in the series. Despite not being a story about Phoenix Wright or Apollo Justice, the plot has interesting twists and mysteries to solve, although the pacing sometimes feels slow.

We’ve enjoyed playing this game for hours. It takes the formula from the original game and does something that feels fresh, improving mechanics that were once a bit tedious and adding new ones. Turning the game into a roguelike was a great decision, it makes each playthrough feel unique, as you get different items and the characters have varied personalities and relationships with one another. It’s a worthy sequel to the original Darkest Dungeon, though it’s somewhat marred by the first few hours of gameplay.

The First Berserker: Khazan proves that Neople Studios has perfectly grasped the essence of the Soulslike genre, delivering an experience that honors FromSoftware’s legacy while introducing fresh, dynamic mechanics. With deep, customizable combat, an immersive narrative, and flawless technical execution, the game stands out in a market oversaturated with imitations. Its balance between challenge and accessibility—paired with its dark anime aesthetic and memorable soundtrack—makes it a must-play for genre fans. While it’s too early to discuss awards, The First Berserker: Khazan is shaping up to be one of the year’s most solid and thrilling action titles.

Far Cry 6 is a great representative of the formula that Ubisoft has been refining. The modifications introduced, such as the elimination of the skill tree, have suited the game quite well. The story in this installment, the villain, the allies, every element that contributes to the narrative are something remarkable. Plus the setting looks exceptionally good. However, it's still not a next-gen experience. The main flaw the game has is in the AI of the enemies which makes them often easy to defeat.

Dragon Quest is one of my favorite series, and although I enjoyed the Dragon Quest III remake for its details and changes that make the adventure easier to understand, I wouldn’t recommend it to new players. This remake stays so faithful to the original material that it feels like a game lost in time. Despite continuing to play the HD-2D trilogy as a fan, I believe that even Dragon Quest IX for the Nintendo DS surpasses this remake in content and gameplay. Star Wars: Squadrons is a love letter to fans of Star Wars for many different reasons. From its history and the recreation and behavior of the ships, to the soundtrack and the spectacular staging. In addition, it is a very good game of ships, accessible, but demanding, and comes at a reduced price with a more than solvent playable variety.

EA Sports FC 24 has turned out to be a real revolution compared to what we have seen in the FIFA franchise. It is true that Electronic Arts makes use of the base that has worked so well in previous installments, but it enhances it with new features such as Hypermotion, PlayStyles and other improvements that give it more packaging. In addition, it incorporates some new features in all its modes, with women's soccer as the main protagonist, which make the game the most complete we have seen to date of the beautiful game.

One Piece Odyssey is a great game that has points that penalize excessively and end up taking their toll. With a story that at first seems very interesting but that deflates as the 30 hours or so that it lasts progresses and a mission system that becomes heavy, it remains in a I want and I can't in many sections. With a battle system that could give much more of itself, a narrative that becomes repetitive, and very faithful but tiresome animations, One Piece Odyssey loses the opportunity to be an epic game and remains just a good game.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a great first attempt of Gearbox Software on making spin-offs about the Borderlands franchise. With marvellous gameplay, an excellent cast of characters and an original fantasy world, it's many flaws makes the experience less original.

MotoGP 24 arrives as a new step from a constant evolution of a license that could need a revolution. A new experience that feels familiar, that adopted a new rules to apply and it has been adjusted to improve the racing experience for each player. A good career mode, thanks to the adaptive AI, could be enough to enjoy it as always. But, we cannot deny, that maybe it has been another lost chance to be a new generation racing game.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a game that recovers the classic style of the saga, but without bringing much novelty or depth. It is an entertaining installment, but it does not surprise or challenge the player. Some fans may enjoy its setting and gameplay, but others may prefer the RPG branch that started with AC Origins. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a good game, but not a great game.
