But it's a game that you can return to after a long time and enjoy it just as much as the first time.

Resurgence works better than one might expect, but if you're looking for a full-fledged PC and console experience without the compromises and constant monetization, the mobile version won't quite convince you, but it can still be fun.

The game offers familiar maps, operators, and a pace that can bring exciting matches. Perhaps it's a bit of a shame about the more aggressive monetization, but if you don't want to, you don't have to pay (but you have to grind).

You will also notice your own improvement over time when handling containers and heavy machinery, which will draw you in for more hours of play. Its HD version show that this JRPG aged well and the better graphics enhances visual experience, astonishing atmosphere and great tactics. It is a double return – to FF roots and its own start with perfect Brave & Default moves.

The Book of Aaru entertains with a fair and challenging combat system and doesn’t disappoint with its diverse selection of enemies. It offers rogue-lite spiel for dozens of hours.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is an interesting spin-off fulfilling dream of some players – what would happen if combat system turned real-time? It is more dynamic approach filled with a lot of options, vast Pokédex, but partially limited to one location only. Lumiose City is interesting half-way through but is missing some richness of different regions. But somehow, Z-A could be attractive for new players thanks to different pace and some fresh ideas.

Terminator 2D: No Fate delivers great visuals, sound, and fun gameplay, but its extremely short length undermines the experience. With multiple playthroughs possible in under two hours, the €30 price feels hard to justify, especially given the lack of gameplay variety.

Fort Oasis is a decaying nightmare where reality crumbles and waiting only for you. Come and be pleasantly scared and fight for survival.

Finally, there's the option to sail the seas. Just watch out for pirates! The new naval story is fun, but short, but it adds variety to the original campaign. The naval battles are great. It's a shame, though, that they can't be inserted into a previously played campaign - you have to start a new one.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond delivers the kind of return the series deserved. Retro Studios stays true to the original formula while adding fresh ideas, stronger storytelling, and a smarter world design. It’s not a revolution and some technical limits show through, but in all essentials it excels — it’s tense, clever, atmospheric, and consistently fun. A confident proof that Metroid Prime still has plenty to say.

Age of Imprisonment is the third entry in Hyrule Warriors series and finally manages to cope with the hardware right. Fast-pace combat, great tactic elements, vast maps and interesting ways to discover the past of the world are taking all players beyond. There is some repetition as usual in the Musou genre, but overall package is satisfying and worth a play. For newbies maybe even more as for the series’ veterans.

Kate Walker has undergone a rejuvenation treatment and returns to the beginning of her journey. She is as charming as ever, and the story is still engaging and entertaining.

Black Ops 7 takes the series into 2035 with high-tech gear, drones and fast, explosive combat. Its biggest swing is a co-op focused campaign built around hallucination-driven missions that constantly twist environments and tone. Zombies returns to classic round-based action with multiple modes, while multiplayer keeps the sharp, fast Black Ops feel, now boosted by futuristic abilities and expanded movement. It’s a bolder, less traditional entry that leans heavily into co-op and high-energy action rather than classic grounded storytelling.

The most realistic malfunctions and random events in the series bring the railway world to life. Railway fans will definitely not be disappointed. There are only occasional FPS drops and minor glitches.

Europa Universalis V is another brilliant grand strategy game from Paradox. It is on par with its predecessors and takes the series forward. It is challenging and complex. However, it's best not to rely too heavily on the AI's assistance, as it tends to fail.

The Czech game will win you over with its cartoonish art style and intriguing concepts. However, you will need a partner to enjoy it. Unfortunately, artificial intelligence cannot replace a human player and it is not so fun when you play alone.

The game has a clear goal - like the first part, it wants to bring back an honest horror atmosphere to fans of older survival horrors. And it succeeds in that, although you will also experience frustrating combat and lengthy running around.

Turbo Kid is a fun and content-rich Metroidvania with quirky characters and BMX action. It’s held back by minor pacing and gameplay issues, but still delivers an enjoyable experience.

If you're looking for a complex building strategy that pays close attention to detail, this is an excellent choice. However, be aware that progress is relatively slow and there is no full-fledged campaign.

The Outer Worlds 2 builds on Obsidian's strengths: an authentic, smaller-scale RPG full of possibilities, with satire and moral decisions. Rather than competing with open-world giants in terms of scope, it emphasizes its system, humor, and detail. If you enjoyed the first game or New Vegas, you will get exactly what you would expect from Obsidian here, only in a slightly bigger and prettier package, with a little more depth. It's Obsidian's most extensive RPG in this style yet.

PowerWash Simulator 2, as a sequel to the original, doesn't disappoint, but it doesn't blow you away either. It brings more or less the same thing with new scenes and a few improvements. It's still the original relaxing game without stress and with a lot of work.

Developed solo over four years, Darkenstein 3D is an impressive effort that stands out mainly because it’s completely free. While the game has its share of bugs, glitches, weak AI, and limited originality, it offers a few hours of solid, old-school shooting fun that fans of classic action games will appreciate.

Keeper from Double Fine is a visually stunning and deeply atmospheric journey about companionship and renewal in a ruined world. Its ever-changing puzzles, intuitive design, and heartfelt tone create a unique experience that’s as touching as it is imaginative. Minor camera quirks aside, it stands out as one of the year’s most distinctive games.

Another puzzle-filled adventure from the Slovak studio Blue Brain Games takes us into the world of the inventions and ideas of the brilliant Nikola Tesla. It's just as engaging a collection of puzzles as The House of Da Vinci.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is perhaps the best version of the game possible. Konami tuned the graphics, added nice gameplay and quality-of-life additions. The graphics is stealing the focus and 3D audio is welcome. The best games tend to age very slowly – this is another fine example.

LEGO Voyagers offers a short but charming co-op adventure with heartfelt, wordless storytelling. Puzzles are mostly linear, and camera or control issues can frustrate, but the emotional experience lingers.

This is the third time we have visited a world that could be described as cute, magical and romantic. It's not. It's a nightmare. But it's also very attractive and cooperative.

Destiny: Rising is better than you might expect, often making you forget it’s a free-to-play gacha game. The story, though separate from the main canon, feels authentic, and the action is both fun and engaging. There’s plenty of content, but much of it is locked behind slow progression, with major parts only accessible later, and the campaign reuses the same areas too often. You’ll enjoy what you’re doing, even if the places you do it in become repetitive.

Above all, Death on the Nile is an excellent detective story. The gameplay is immersive, the puzzles are interesting and the characters are distinctive. Technically, it's satisfactory and, since each chapter takes at least an hour, it's not a game you can complete in a weekend.

Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 remain timeless showcases of inventive gameplay and stellar design. This collection updates them with higher resolution and small tweaks, though it misses a deeper visual overhaul and still has minor camera issues. Despite that, it’s an essential package for both newcomers and longtime fans.

Times change, and with them games and their styling, and Silent Hill changes too – you'll either accept its transformation or reject it. But it still manages to be (un)pleasantly scary.

EA Sports FC 26 makes clear improvements, with better gameplay, expanded Career modes, and changes to FUT, but lingering glitches, limited authentic settings, and neglected modes keep it from being the full package fans want.

After more than 300 years a ghost returns, but now, manifested as a vengeful spirit. Atzu takes upon the role of onryō to finally avenge her family, as she has sworn 16 years ago. Her homeland of Ezo is vibrant, expansive, full of surprises and wants to be explored. So, while acquiring a set of Katanas, Ōdachi, Yari, Kusarigama and other tools, she slowly climbs up the ladder of names that make up the Yōtei Six. And naturally, the cloth with all their names just keeps getting bloodier and bloodier.

Dying Light: The Beast is a smaller but enjoyable addition to the series, with the return of Kyle Crane and the new mountain setting of Castor Woods. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but it's a very good amalgamation of everything we've seen in previous Dying Light games.

A massive, unique, and addictive collection with some grind and backtracking, but still worth returning to.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it successfully blends its best elements into a worthy tribute to both the series and the genre itself. At its core, it still feels like Shinobi, yet the new developers add their own touch, delivering solid action with good length, replayability, and challenge. While cluttered fights, uneven checkpoints, and a weak story hold it back, it’s still a worthy tribute to the series.

A fantastic arcade shooter with an adorable clay-modelled design. More than two decades after its original release, the remastered game has lost none of its charm. In fact, it is in great shape.

There's a reason why Hollow Knight: Silksong is such a highly anticipated and hyped title. And rightly so. While the game is enjoyable, the difficulty level may be too high for some players, and the map can sometimes feel chaotic.

Auto Shooter, set in the proven Dwarven Universe, already offers a complete package, with hordes of creatures and rare resources to discover underground. However, the difficulty level is high, and the repetition of biomes and missions unnecessarily and artificially extends the game's scope.

If the main adventure with your favorite action archaeologist wasn't enough for you, spend a few more hours with him and uncover one more unsolved mystery. It's a pleasant time spent, but the DLC doesn't bring anything that we didn't already see in the original game.

Cronos: The New Dawn is a retrofuturistic horror-action game featuring tense survival combat, atmospheric world design and rewarding upgrades. Its slow-paced storytelling and eerie soundscape build tension to deliver a gripping 15-hour experience. However, scarce ammo, frequent deaths and tough bosses can make it feel punishing.A demanding but memorable journey for fans of atmospheric survival horror.

Brave warriors raised by Slovak developers and with the support of the Norse gods set out among monsters and gigantic Jotuns. If you are a fan of auto battler games, Jotunnslayer might entertain you. Although somewhere above it stands Achilles: Survivor, which has somewhat richer content, extra gameplay elements and half the price tag.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land on Switch 2 features many audiovisual enhancements to original content and brings along interesting extra mode with smooth integration. The Switch 2 version is superior to base game and is the definitive edition with plenty of ideas and level design showcases.

The renewed legend is once again trying to win the hearts of players - both older and younger. It still manages to entertain and stands solidly alongside current shooters. But it doesn't bring any surprises. It will be appreciated mainly by console players.

Close to its 2-year anniversary, the murderous puppet returns with an ever-so-brilliant DLC that not only rivals the design of the original game, but in many aspects surpasses what was puppeteered before. This expansion shines with mechanical brilliance, is drenched in even more oil and blood, and most important of all, shows the amazing snow tech that was developed! Apart from many new bosses, great level design, memorable locations, curious storylines, and a ton of quality-of-life improvements, we are simply getting more of what made Lies of P amazing.

There are shortcomings. Some date back as far as 30 years. Nevertheless, I believe this is a collection that should not be missing from the library of any fan of the genre. Many people got it for free from the library anyway. Two once-popular fantasy action games have been revived in a modernised version with a huge amount of content, lots of improvements, and new features that make them even better games.

Building brighter tomorrows in a ruined world is back, and while it doesn't bring anything new or surprising, it's still fun.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is built on respect — respect for the legacy of the series and respect in how it modernizes a nearly 40-year-old concept. While it might seem like just another pixel-art action platformer at first glance, this is a well-crafted game that delivers a great experience for both longtime fans and newcomers alike. There are minor design flaws, but the engaging and fun gameplay easily overshadows them.

Mafia: The Old Country continues in the story-driven style of Mafia 1 and 2, but serves as a prequel set in early 1900s Sicily. It follows the rise of Enzo within a local crime family, with a focus on narrative, grounded combat, and atmospheric world-building.
