A hit and miss adventure that tries to pay homage to Tim Schaffer's undying classics from the 90s. It does feel like old school, and sometimes, it's even funny, but never reaches that level of brilliance.- Riot Pixels

If the developers were a bit more creative with the concept, they could have turned the game into a great puzzle in a sandbox-style environment with terraforming and freedom of exploration. Alas, Waking Mars as it is now has neither decent puzzles nor sandbox gameplay, although if you're itching to play a god-sim, this one will do nicely.- Riot Pixels

The game’s illusion of freedom is a bit disappointing. There are no paths surrounded by invisible walls as we have come to expect from other ‘endless runners’, and the first thing you do is try to take a peek at the edge of this world. But, in reality, there are only three ways: forward, just to the left, and just to the right.- Riot Pixels

That 'early access' feeling is still present in what is billed as a finished product. In fact, it is even stronger than before, with the unruly camera, horrible interface, slow-thinking AI, long loading times, and the help system presented in plain text format. And the promised career mode is even more bare-bones than in Qvadriga and Armored Core: Formula Front.- Riot Pixels

Judgment is a prequel that no one asked for. The story campaign is worth a go if you play it in co-op with friends and take declassified missions – although it adds nothing to the story of Sera. The new multiplayer modes are okay, but overall all these ‘changes’ are just a game of musical chairs.- Riot Pixels

Despite a somewhat muddled ending, this single player campaign is one of the best in recent years.- Riot Pixels

If you’re not an avid fan of shoot-‘em-ups, you’d hardly look twice at this plain-looking game and its scanty arsenal of weapons.- Riot Pixels

The official description of Road 96 promises “thousands of roads across the authoritarian nation of Petria.” One might think that this is a truly non-linear game with a highly replayable campaign, but in reality you’ll get one full playthrough, with maybe a smidge more. Still, this playthrough, despite some flaws in logic and overall simplicity of the game, will bring you joy and a dozen awesome songs for your playlist.- Riot Pixels

Res Publica is a less significant expansion than Wealth of Nations, but it is cheaper, too. Pick it up if you plan to play as Poland or The Netherlands.- Riot Pixels

Everspace looks charming, but after 2-3 hours even these beautiful space vistas and intense dogfights will tire you out. Problem is, the whole game is just it: you kill AI enemies and collect their loot.- Riot Pixels

At first, State of Decay feels like an exciting introduction into a bleak world of zombie apocalypse, but tedious missions, dated graphics and boring characters quickly ruin all the fun.- Riot Pixels

You can't look at Sid Meier's Civilization VII without tears. I doubt that large-scale DLCs will fix the situation - this building needs to be demolished together with the foundation.- Riot Pixels

Rise and Fall brings a lot of changes to Civilization 6, both massive and barely noticeable, but, surprisingly, none of them alter the familiar gameplay flow. The Ages, loyalty, and governors are half-baked and barely scratch the surface of their true potential, while still dimwitted AI feels even more feeble-minded because of the new features.- Riot Pixels

This is a full-fledged, honest to God remake. Some changes to the story will upset hardcore fans, but I think this approach is absolutely justified. Even though this remake is not as amazing as new versions of Resident Evil 2 and Final Fantasy 7, it’s still a worthy update.- Riot Pixels

MechWarrior 5: Clans feels more arcade than MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. For example, the AI of opponents is primitive. But more or less serious games about giant walking robots are rare these days, so I played MW 5: Clans in one breath.- Riot Pixels

For a game that is almost devoid of gameplay by concept, a boring story is a like a death sentence. Three hours of Clementine’s misadventures boil down to ‘Well, try not to die, okay?”- Riot Pixels

Othercide is low-key but stylish, smart, exciting, even though it doesn't have the budget and technologies of Gears Tactics. It does fall into the same gameplay cracks sometimes, yet, unlike GT, it always keeps you engaged and invested in the fate of your team.- Riot Pixels

For the second year in the row, Activision, like a crafty snake oil peddler, pushes ‘a next-gen Call of Duty’ by replacing developers, locations and characters. Goodbye, German cyber-shepherd, orbital kinetic missiles and a crazy Venezuelan dictator. Hello, exoskeletons, holograms and a corporate megalomaniac played by Kevin Spacey. But the glitzy CG cinematics and sweet PR songs hide the stale 10-year old gameplay formula.- Riot Pixels
