The original Fear Effect is an intriguing and stylish game. The new release for PC and modern consoles is neither a remake nor a remaster. I think this release will appeal only to those who are nostalgic for games from the PS1 era.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is a solid remaster of an excellent tactical RPG. While the game was previously exclusive to the PSP in Europe, anyone can now enjoy it on modern platforms.

Trails in the Sky: First Chapter is a worthy remake of a niche JRPG. Fans of the genre shouldn’t miss it.

There aren't any major graphical improvements that would justify the $30 price tag. But Outlaws is a fantastic shooter, and I highly recommend giving it a try in any form.

The main drawback of Ninja Gaiden 4 is its repetitive level design. It’s a real shame, because the game can be vibrant and stylish, and you could watch the ninja’s dance of death forever.

The Outer Worlds 2 has little in common with Obsidian’s best RPGs. It’s not exactly a bad game, but you certainly won’t miss it if you skip it.

If you're really craving a new global RTS and you're a big fan of the Victoria series, you can give Europa Universalis V a try right now. But it's better to wait: it won't reach its full potential for at least a few years.

Limited Run Games generally releases the laziest new editions of classic games compared to Aspyr or Nightdive, but this time it’s even worse than usual.

I enjoy playing Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition much more than modern Obsidian games like Avowed. That's because Neverwinter Nights 2 offers exciting stories, interesting companions, and a rich role-playing system.

The main mistake of RuneQuest: Warlords is that it missed the chance to fix the flaws of Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector. The game didn't surprise me, although overall it turned out to be decent. For fans of RuneQuest, it's a real treat.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 doesn't look like the product of development hell at all. Despite the tight deadlines, The Chinese Room has created a decent game. Unfortunately, under such circumstances, it was simply impossible to replicate the scale of the first VTMB.

Gears of War: Reloaded looks good. The remaster is definitely worth playing through once — out of curiosity. It's just a shame that various bugs can spoil the fun.

Turok Remastered for PS5 and Xbox Series is undoubtedly the best version of this artifact from 1997. Still, Nightdive Studios could have worked more carefully on the graphics, for example.

Venus Vacation PRISM - DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme is the most meaningless project in the history of Dead or Alive. The script is boring, the soundtrack is boring, and the world is dead: the resort gives the impression of a ghost island.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is certainly not quite the “resurrection” we would have liked to see. It's a trial balloon for Bethesda. But it still turned out pretty well.

In 25 years, System Shock 2 has hardly aged, and thanks to Nightdive's efforts, it has become much more convenient to play on modern systems.

Commandos: Origins does not have an exciting storyline, does not offer any interesting situations, and does not haunt the imagination with unprecedented tactical possibilities. The game simply wasn't ready for release — you can see this at every turn.

Elden Ring Nightreign is an interesting attempt to build a “session-based” game in the Elden Ring universe. But some things just don't work together.

Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition is intended only for fans and newcomers. The former will buy it anyway, while the latter would be better off starting with this version. Others are unlikely to find anything interesting in the new edition.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a beautiful and sometimes thrilling movie and an outdated game. It is a boring retelling of the original that has nothing to offer the player, except for modern graphics and modern controls.
