Apart from the abrupt epilogue and somewhat daft AI, Shadowrun: Dragonfall is a great expansion to the original game.

A Plague Tale: Innocence makes a commendable effort to mask its somewhat routine gameplay, and in the end, it wins you over with captivating atmosphere, great music, likeable main characters and nice visuals. If you like cinematic games, this stroll through Dark Ages is worth it.

If you felt constrained by the chaos system in Dishonored 1 & 2, you can finally enjoy killing pretty much anyone without repercussions. But even this newfound freedom won’t fix badly written characters, ham-fisted dialogue, weak narrative, and annoying gameplay conventions.

It feels as if Frozenbyte created this colorful, riveting platformer to prove to us and themselves that this series is far from over. The fate of Trine does seem bright, but the developers should really stop reusing their past ideas.

With every new installment, Age of Wonders continues to drift away from the concept of the original game in the series by trying to blend in with the 4X crowd. So far, the result is not that impressive.

Black Myth: Wukong is a mediocre game in a shiny wrapper. Reading descriptions of enemies is much more interesting than fighting them.

Conquest of Paradise is a solid, although somewhat narrowly-focused expansion.

Even though FIFA 16 can easily fool you into thinking that you’re watching live TV, these pretty visuals are not enough to justify this expensive upgrade from FIFA 15. But if you missed last year’s game, you’re in for a treat.

You can easily spend ten hours on Trine 5. Then, unfortunately, you'll forget everything about this game except gorgeous graphics and fun co-op.

The story is short on emotions, the main characters lost their charm, the script is a messy patchwork, but the worst flaw is that the gameplay is repetitive and sluggish.

Gears Tactics proves that there is a place for an awesome turn-based strategy game in the Gears universe. Now, someone needs to develop that game.

Halo Infinite was supposed to become a flagship title for “the most powerful console in the world,” but in reality we got an interlude of a story devoid of epic set pieces, a template for something greater that may or may not arrive in the future, an empty “open world” punctuated with interior design circa early 2000s. If not for the awesome shootouts, Master Chief should have been jettisoned back into space.

Even though I wish that Endless Space 2 had fully controllable battles and smarter AI opponents, this is still an amazing game that you will be exploring for hours.

Tyranny sometimes doesn't feel like a game in its own. I could not shake the feeling that I was playing an extended prologue to some awesome, not yet released RPG. You can play through this story in very different ways, exploring various shades of gray during your travels, but you won't be able to escape the shockingly abrupt ending.

It's easy to rule an entire genre of soccer management sims when your worst enemy is a weak indie title like Retro Football Boss. But now, Sports Interactive faces a rising threat of stagnation, and as the developers continue to go around in circles, the word "refund" will be cropping up more often in the user comments section on Steam.

Every situation in GRID 2 feels the same, and there is a reason. Having collected more than 50 cars in my virtual garage, I can’t point out my favorite ones – they all behave the same way, without any distinctive quirks of ‘character’. And locations that repeat ad nauseum only make this feeling worse.

Fans of Silent Hill and Resident Evil should definitely try The Evil Within 2. Even with all its annoying flaws, the sequel is better than the original game. Slowly but surely, Tango Gameworks is working its way towards a perfect formula for a modern horror game.

"It’s yet another game with huge pixels and a mouthful of a name,” I had thought upon hearing the announcement a few years ago, and I am so glad that I was proven wrong. If not for Wadjet Eye Games, I would have missed this excellent adventure with delightfully crafted suspense and brilliant dialogue.
