The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS5 is still the fantastic adventure that won over thousands of players in the last generation. It's basically one of the best games of all time improved in many points, such as loading, frame rate and graphics. The free upgrade just make things even better. Oxenfree II: Lost Signals not only honors its predecessor, but it also justifies its existence with a very well-developed narrative maturity. If the simple mechanics aren't appealing or even demanding for action fans, surely the well-written branching story can convince non-believers.

Learning from all the mistakes of the last game's disastrous launch, The Last of Us Part II Remastered is another great port from Nixxes and Iron Galaxy Studios and the definitive way to experience Ellie and Abby's quest for revenge.

Persona 3 Reload is an imperfect remake in which, although the lack of content from previous expanded versions is annoying, its new features and the necessary (and very well executed) reformulation of combat make this the best way to play the best narrative that series already had in a package with a great localization to PT-BR.

Vanillaware hits the spot with Unicorn Overlord while reinvigorating an RPG sub-genre that, for a long time, was neglected in the gaming industry. I strongly believe that it is also the best game created by the Japanese developer. Even though there are small imperfections, the game is brilliant and deserving of the highest recommendation.

Octopath Traveler II is an excellent example of how to release a classic JRPG with a modern flair. Its engaging narrative and captivating characters by themselves already deliver a highly valuable title, but it is on the rich simplicity of its combat where it reaches an even higher bar. The small technical issues, excessive random encounters and simplistic character evolution system are the only complaints that can be made about a title that delights at every minute.

With addictive combat, a cohesive story, and greater accessibility for players less keen on the experimental nature of the series' other titles, Octopath Traveler 0 delivers exactly what is expected of it as an entry point to the series. If you have never played the franchise, start here. If you have, prepare to see the formula perfected and a story that will be highly rewarding.

Let's Build a Zoo excels at balancing the already traditional mechanics of management games with huge doses of charisma and fun. However, it is in the genetic manipulation system and in the challenge of caring for its illustrious guests where it proves most brilliant, not by bringing megalomaniacal ideals, but by making what is simple into something enchanting.

Bizarre, unfiltered and mind-blowing. The experience in KARMA: The Dark World is insane, just the way I like it and the way a psychological horror game should be. Although it has some technical issues, it manages to deliver tension without the need for overdoing the famous "jump scares".

I understand that Persona 4 Golden has a special place in the hearts of those who played it and want to revisit the classic, and that it's still a great choice for those who have never played it, but an addition to the story, new Personas or even a more elaborate work with graphics could've brought this still excellent RPG to a new high in 2023.
