The Solus Project aims for old school gameplay, but the result is bland and forgettable. Its story, puzzles and occasional horror elements are clichéd, and survival aspects are both lackluster and easily overcome. Exploration of a new world quickly turns into dull routine. [Sept 2016]

No Man's Sky breaks the record in falling short of the hype – which is an incredible achievement in the category of super ambitious space games. The huge universe is a repetitive, lifeless and meaningless place, no amount of random generated creatures can change that. The most unforgivable fail is making the spaceship such a pain to fly, which makes exploring the vast universe simply a chore. However, at its best the game is epic and many of the issues should be easy to fix, so this might not be the end of the journey after all. [Sept 2016]

Il-2 Cliffs of Dover is full of hidden potential, but due to a disastrous amount of bugs, design decisions and totally unfinished features it remains well hidden. Krater has a lot of good things going for it: an original setting (post-apocalyptic Sweden!), a fresh take on ARPG leveling mechanics, a moody soundtrack… Sadly, the monotonous and boring combat makes playing it a chore. It seems that EA tries desperately to create new content and games for Sims players. You can see the desperation here. Pet Stories doesn’t offer anything new to the previous ones but the horrible “stories” which are so utterly stupid that the player feels ashamed playing them. Everything’s not bad though. Creating and training pet is quite okay and there’s a lot to do as in all Sims games. Still, I wouldn’t pay full price for this new... game. [Aug 2007]

You have to admire Pendulo Studios for surviving 18 years by making adventure gamers, but Yesterday is a truly lackluster example of the genre. The writing is consistently awful and the puzzles are annoying and illogical. [June 2012]

Nerf N-Strike has a great idea, but playing is not so fun. The biggest problem is lack of zombies. Best part of the whole package is the gun itself.

Come on, let the dead rest in peace. This utterly pointless, crappy beat-'em-up, should never have seen the light of day. The game tries to bring Konami's 8-bit games into this millennia, but the result is a complete failure. [Oct 2013]

Not a very good game, although some battles can be quite impressive. Voice acting is simply horrendous, the game is riddled with bugs and has lots of annoying little things that creep up every now and again. [Feb. 05]

A charmingly beautiful little adventure to watch but a horrendously awful game to play. The clumsy combat mechanics, generally unpleasant gameplay and violently unfair difficulty make this one of the most unpleasant gaming experiences of the year. It may look cute, but make no mistake: it's evil. [May 2008]

A pleasant continuation of one of the old city building game franchises. The absence of slavery in virtual Rome reeks of political correctness, though, and the military part still leaves a lot to be desired. [Dec 2006]
