There are plenty of good ideas in this shooter. None of them are new. And none of them are implemented as thrilling as they could have been. All that´s left is a decent shooter with a not-so-bad AI, nice but partly overdone graphics and a non-existent story. There are moments of fun, though. You just have to find them.

Lost Planet 3 features the stormy and disastrous environments of the cold world E.D.N. III, known from the very first part of the series. The game is introduced as a prequel to the entire Lost Planet series and delivers a mix of both first and third-person action. Unfortunately Lost Planet 3 fails to fulfill the high expectations, mainly because of repetitive and even boring mission design. So the standard shooter action leaves us bugged out, although we had some fun riding the heroes’ utility rig, a mech-like mining vehicle, which also can be used to protect yourself from hostile Akrid.

A weird mixture of WW1-shooter, zombies, demons and mechanical monsters. Though the bossfights are exciting, the leveldesign and the endless waves of dumb standard-enemies are boring. Graphics and sound are just average quality.

An interesting story premise does not make up for the ridiculous puzzle design and some technical glitches. There are many better adventure games out there - you should avoid this one.

Poor controls, short and few levels: the game is over as fast as Sonic runs. It has its moments, but considering the positive prerequisites, the technical shortcomings make the game a mess.

Only die-hard fans of the Gothic franchise will be able to overlook the games terrible technical shortcomings. Forsaken Gods hits rock bottom of what was once a great roleplaying series.

Finally a game with a large publisher behind it that deliberately resists the mass market! Unfortunately Murdered has not become the game that it could have been.

An uninspired coop-shooter, developed with a reduced cryengine 3. It’s ok for playing some matches with friends, but the game is missing longtime motivation. Unfortunately it is implemented in the very uncomfortable designed gaming-platform, named Gforce. At least, the game is free2play and offers some kind of entertainment.

Extinction is a frustrating and repetitive game, that doesn’t reach its full potential. The idea is a good one, just not executed in the right way, with the focus on the wrong parts.

While both combat and puzzles in Bard's Tale 4 offer quite a bit of fun, it's hard to overlook the stale story, lifeless levels or technical shortcomings. The inventory and save system feel like they came straight out of an alpha version.

Sea of Thieves runs great on PC, but the lack of HDR support is a shame for a game like this and there are only a few options to tweak the experience if you don't have a high end configuration.

Neither bad nor great, Ancient Space offers mostly solid, sufficient space strategy on a small scale. Gameplay gets a little monotonous after a while and the story is never interesting enough to keep us hooked. On the plus side, mission design is pleasantly varied and the visuals are fine, too.

Fairly straight-forward first person shooter set during WW2 with average cryengine graphics and boring story. Although Enemy Front lacks highlights or memorable levels, some of the more open areas invite the player to experiment with the optional stealth /sniper gameplay. Unfortunately, this aforementioned game mechanic also has its flaws.

Deformers could be a great game. It has cute graphics, a clear gameplay and a lot to offer. But the problem is: there’s nobody to play against, because there are no players online.

Operation Flashpoint turns out to be a quite acceptable first person shooter, that requires a lot of tactics. Unfortunately the game shows the same problems as its predecessor Dragon Rising: bad AI and boring repetitive missions.

That the most striking "innovation" in the second part of the indie game at the end is the multitude of bugs I've encountered is just annoying.

Not all aspects in Flinthook fit together seamlessly. Above all, it’s a game for lenient genre-fans.

The primitive combat system and monotonous level design are reason enough to dislike this mediocre action game. And yet, there is more: The character design is disputable, to say the least, and the cut-scenes fail to support the almost non-existent storyline. Unless you are crazy for non-stop action in a solid presentation, this game is one you should avoid.

It's clearly unfinished. But if you can look past the performance issues, weak AI and abundance of bugs, there is a nice Dungeon Keeper experience to be had. War for the Overworld does not add anything new to the formula, it does not even copy it to its full extent (take the useless walls, for example), but it is fun nonetheless. With further patching and some rebalancing, this could actually turn out as a great game one day.

If you’re unsure whether to go for Dirt Rally or Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo, choose the former. Loeb Rally may come with a huge amount of content, but suffers from other severe flaws: from a technical standpoint, Loeb Rally is pretty much outdated and at no point during our time with the game, driving was ever really enjoyable. Every car feels weirdly stiff to control and gives the player little to no feedback. So if you have the choice, stick with Dirt Rally. Everything Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo has going for it, Dirt 3 already did a better job at.

There are two sides to That Dragon, Cancer. There is the tragedy of small Joel Green, who was killed by one of the most insidious sicknesses on the planet. I feel for him and his parents. But then there is also the game that was born from this tragedy. And it is simply and quite literally too much of a pain to play.

Deadfall Adventures is an appealing approach of merging a first-person-shooter with puzzle-elements plus a well-told B-Movie. Sadly, it tries to run with the hare and hunt with the hound, thus succeeds in neither task.

Fans beware: This is not a Sacred game, no matter how many threes they put on the box. There is no loot, no in-depth RPG elements and no open world to explore. Above all, the game is bursting with insufferable humor and exhausting voice acting. If you manage to ignore all that, there is a good chance you might enjoy the simple combat, co-op mode and decent graphics. Even though the whole thing turns stale pretty quickly.

If you always wanted to experience boring council meetings first hand, Urban Empire got you covered. The political machinations of this so-called city ruler are presented way too dry to elicit any other response than eye-rolling. While the part about building a city and researching new technologies is way more fun, there simply isn’t enough feedback for players to penetrate the game’s intricacies. With only a few, small maps to build on and no mod support, Urban Empire makes a poor case for itself.

We Are Football is an attempt to reproduce the success of old classics like the old EA Football Manager. The Emphasis here is on “attempt”, because the game fails miserably. Missing licenses, a broken transfer market and a lack of explanations are just some of the things that went wrong. Only a few things make the game playable at all: It is very beginner-friendly and has 40 Leagues from 22 Countries. Moreover, missing Clubs can be added via a very detailed Editor. We Are Football can produce some fun, but only if you lower your standards.

All in all, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has sadly been a frustrating experience for me. World design and presentation, with John William's classic score and the beautiful graphics, are top notch, but the gameplay and quest design got redundant only after few hours.
