The Night of the Rabbit is an adventure that creates a wonderful magic world around it’s held Jeremia Haselnuss and brings nice characters to virtual life. But as wonderful as Daedalic Entertainment built the fantasy world with lots of details around the little boy Jeremias who wants to become a magician, they present the dialogues in a boring way and they sometimes even confuse story itself. The game also lacks hints for the puzzles which often only allow the one solution that even is the most digressive. The player doesn’t get sufficient feedback while trying to solve the puzzles, whatever there are from hints or out of dialogues with other characters. Because of this the game sometimes gets really frustrating and forces you into trial and error. Players expecting a game with the usual quality of Daedalic adventures such as the Deponia-series will be disappointed.

Praise to Bigmoon for the courage to take on this difficult to implement racing game genre. The small studio has also mastered the big task properly, especially the challenging navigation is authentically conveyed to the player. However, Dakar 18 weakens in one decisive discipline: driving physics. In times of a Dirt Rally 2.0, which will appear next February, racing fans expect more from a game with a simulation claim. Also the missing vehicle tuning as well as the spartan damage model should be offensive to simulation fans. But if you don't let this spoil the fun, you'll get an off-road game of a different kind, which also creates a Dakar atmosphere thanks to the pretty graphics and the authentic navigation system.

Surprisingly, the new, controversial real-time-combat isn't the expected game breaker for Back in Action. Its much too aggressive, oftentimes stupid AI is. Add to that a bulky interface and cumbersome inventory and soon the liberation of Arulco becomes more of a chore than an enjoyable trip, motivating level-ups and non-linear gameplay notwithstanding.

The second DLC brings a few amusing quests to the otherwise more serious story of Kingdom Come and fits perfectly to the character of Sir Hans Capon. Sadly the questline is way too short and the usual player will complete it in less than three hours. For the price of the DLC we would have expected a little bit more. Even though the dice tournament is really fun and a welcome variety.

A smart blend of features that successfully captures the tension and style of the incredible TV show. I don't think I've ever had a game in the test that was so difficult to judge. It doesn't grip properly, but Fallout 76 makes me feel very contradictory. On the one hand, I really enjoy the game world, the exploration and all the stories told here. But I'm also someone who can get involved with this indirect way of telling stories. I can understand that for many this doesn't work without NPCs and dialogues. But I enjoy reading the different diary entries and listening to the holobands. On the other hand, the poor technical condition of the game really annoys me a lot. The poor performance despite average graphics quality is hard to understand. You can and must expect more from a modern game in 2018.

Lost Planet 3 features the stormy and disastrous environments of the cold world E.D.N. III, known from the very first part of the series. The game is introduced as a prequel to the entire Lost Planet series and delivers a mix of both first and third-person action. Unfortunately Lost Planet 3 fails to fulfill the high expectations, mainly because of repetitive and even boring mission design. So the standard shooter action leaves us bugged out, although we had some fun riding the heroes’ utility rig, a mech-like mining vehicle, which also can be used to protect yourself from hostile Akrid.

Loeb Rally may come with a huge amount of content, but suffers from other severe flaws: from a technical standpoint, Loeb Rally is pretty much outdated and at no point during our time with the game, driving was ever really enjoyable. Accordingly, I approached Sonic Origins with hope. Sega would have had the chance to interest younger players and offer old fans a little added value. But they missed it cleanly. For new players, 40 euros for four old games will be too much. At the same time, the collection offers almost nothing new for fans. Sure, the scans of the old manuals and developer sketches are nice, but they are nothing more than some fluff on top. The versions of the games still play fantastically, but they are only warmed up and nothing here is original from the Mega Drive. They normally work good on PC, but there are player reports on steam of a few technical issues. This is simply unworthy of these classics of gaming history.

Sonic is the hero of my childhood! I grew up with 2D platformers and my Mega Drive with games is now well protected in a glass cabinet in the living room. Accordingly, I approached Sonic Origins with hope. Sega would have had the chance to interest younger players and offer old fans a little added value. But they missed it cleanly. For me, Chernobylite has one problem above all: it wants too much at once. Shooting, crafting, developing skills, managing the base and team - because of all the Gampelay features, the makers have somehow lost track of everything. In the end, the genre mix seems a bit half-cooked. It's a shame.

Too many elementary mistakes were simply made here: the mission design is too monotonous, the story is poorly told, the technology an impertinence. To make matters worse, the makers neglected the endgame. Thus, the former RPG specialists here have finally lost the trust of many fans.

While the core-gameplay of Override 2 delivers on simple yet fun mech fights, the game loses steam quite quickly. Missing depth and cosmetics as well as almost no online player base: a mech-war without participants is pointless at best.
