    Modern Warfare 3 makes you feel that it is planned as a DLC from the get-go. Unfortunately, it is a huge disappointment with its very short campaign and mundane multiplayer mods.

    I remember reviewing Code Vein in 2019. Dark Souls had inspired that game in very wrong ways and in turn it had made me swear off reviewing Soulslikes not made by From Software for the some time. Saying Lords of the Fallen did the same would be unfair but that doesn’t mean I don’t have some harsh words for the developers…

    We praised Larian a lot for Divinity: Original Sin 2, but Baldur's Gate 3 is without a doubt their masterpiece. It's an experience that deserves its name in every sense and trilogizes the Baldur's Gate saga in a spectacular way. If it makes up for its shortcomings with an Enhanced Edition, we can easily call it one of the best games of the 2000s.

    It's a delightful mix. It's really fun to fish peacefully during the day and try to escape the monsters at night to reach the nearest harbor. Unfortunately, the sense of tension wears off quickly and once you figure out the monsters, you can easily escape them all. Still, it's fun to try to catch all the fish species, solve the mystery of the islands and reach different endings.

    There's no doubt that Lightfall is not the best expansion, but it's far from being the worst, thankfully. If I had to formulate it, it's the arithmetic average of Beyond Light and The Witch Queen. We're used to Bungie going back and forth like a Mehter Company, which is exactly why I haven't given up hope for The Final Shape.

    Nioh was Team Ninja’s take on the “Souls-like” genre and was pretty good at doing its own thing with it. Wo Long on the other hand is what you might call a “Sekiro-like” but it doesn’t set itself apart well enough from neither Sekiro, nor Nioh.

    After the linear and immersive nature of the missions, the transition to the open world is a welcome relief. While Atomic Heart takes us to a completely different dystopian USSR, it also made me smile by getting a lot of things right as a game. Sure, it's not a perfect game and it's a bit of a medley, but at the end of the day, it manages to entertain the player.

    Pharaoh: New Era manages to preserve the essence of the game we loved years ago, but it is also notable for its shortcomings such as mini-map and army management. If the studio manages to address these shortcomings as promised, it can be a much better game. Still, that doesn't change the fact that at its core it's one of the best city-building simulations ever made.

    That would be unfair to call SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake a bad game. Compared to the previous games, I think it would be more accurate to call it "soulless" rather than "bad". You're not surprised by this though, because every sailor knows that 4/4 string ostinato in D minor means death.
