    Paparazzi ultimately feels like a small, refined part of a larger game. It is fun, but in the same way that a throwaway local multiplayer mode in a larger single-player adventure is entertaining.     Even with the occasional bout of frustration, Blek is mostly a marvel in how it’s designed. The organic way that it unfolds is amazing. While the Wii U version might not be the ideal way to experience it, Blek is still something worth looking at, even if it’s just as a curiosity.

    For newcomers, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is the ideal starting place, with more accessible combat than ever, a vastly improved single-player experience, and some endlessly gentle tutorials. For veterans, the game’s less difficult introduction may prove less enjoyable at the outset, but some extremely fresh evolutionary steps ensure that those feelings are fleeting at best.

    Overall, Pier Solar is just an average JRPG at best. Perhaps some of its novelty was lost due to it being a downloadable title rather than an actual, physical Sega Genesis cartridge. It’s really hard to recommend unless you’re absolutely starved for an RPG on the Wii U.

    But the core gameplay—puzzle-solving with clones—is distinctly enjoyable. In a way, it reminded me of the Clank puzzles in Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, but on a 2D plane. If that kind of puzzle-solving is up your ally, I’d give The Swapper a try.

    I didn’t have any problem with the gameplay overall, but in the end, it’s constant requirement to grind became tiresome, and the mundane and repetitive levels exemplified that. If you can muster through that, Castle Conqueror EX does have an addictive quality to it, but only if you know what you’re in for going in.

    All-in-all Rock Zombie has many of the trappings of a great game. The core mechanics work, and all of Rock Zombie’s failings are the sort of things that could be fixed in future updates. For now this may not be the arcade experience you’re looking for but with a little work, it could be a welcome addition to anyone’s Wii U home screen.
