Trap Team is just barely a decent supplement to the home console version, but it's certainly not strong enough to stand alone.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I feel like this game honestly is an amazing game. I really don’t see why it doesn’t get any love toward it. Trap team is my favorite skylanders game on the console, and the 3DS version is pretty ok for a port of the console game. I feel like people need to understand that when you play this game that you are N O T getting the same game as on the Xbox, Wii, etc. but that should be expected considering you’re taking something that should be on an Xbox and putting it into a tiny 3DS. You still get to trap villains, you still get to go to a few carried worlds and levels, and the hub world, in my opinion, is cooler than the academy on the console version. While it may not be as expansive, nothing in this game is expansive, but that is what I like about it. It’s short, simple, sweet, yet fun. It has a nice replay value as you can go back and try to get all the stars on all the levels and such. Also, the BIGGEST thing for me is this one teeny-tiny detail: you DON’T fight Kaos! You fight the Dream Sheep And it is amazing! Again, this is my opinion, but he is cooler than Kaos in every way and a funnier villain to face off against. Yes, this game doesn’t have giant robot-fighting sections like the original and you aren’t defeating a giant drill like in giants, and you aren’t catching 30-40+ villains and instead only catching 13, but still, it is a great game! Just, please, give it a chance. I will possibly still pick the console version over this, sure, but the 3DS version does its job delivering the same game experience on a portable console. Expand

I've had a hard time putting the game down XD Expand
