Black Ops II on Wii U may amount to the same experience as on other systems, but it remains an impressive game. The aging multiplayer could use more of a twist, but the campaign is top-notch, and even Zombies mode manages a few new things. In the first of what will likely be many appearances on Nintendo's new system, the franchise delivers.

Rabbids Land provides players with a pretty solid party game experience. Its well-designed art and sound style and cohesive board game format make team outings fun. Despite the extreme difficulty, though, I never got to the point of wanting to quit. The game is tough, but fair, and the frequent checkpoints prevent frustration. While it doesn't make much use of Wii U-specific features, Razor's Edge should satisfy if you're in the mood for a challenge.

I want to love Sticker Star. The game looks great, the localization is top-notch, and, when things are moving along, it all feels so right. The sticker economy is well realized and forces you to manage your sticker collection well. But the game's obsession with "things" brings it to a screeching halt all too often. This hurdle is easily sidestepped by bookmarking your preferred walkthrough, but it's a shame the game couldn't simply be less obtuse in its puzzle structure. So, instead of loving Sticker Star, I'm left to simply like it.

One or two interesting ideas show up in ESPN Sports Connection. Sadly, these ideas do not make up for the rest of the game's shortcomings. Between terrible controls, iffy graphics, and lack of any coherency, I cannot recommend this to anyone to play. This is one of the worst Wii U launch titles and should be avoided like a baseball to the face.

And ultimately, that's my biggest problem with this game: Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is just so unmemorable compared to the original. The new stuff is either bland or doesn't work, and the level design is a little worse than in Epic Mickey. It is not a bad game, and is technically solid in most respects, but what could have been an incredible bookend to the Wii library is now a beacon of missed potential.

New Super Mario Bros. U is close to the ideal 2D Mario game hinted at by the debut of New Super Mario Bros. seven years ago. It's a more sincere follow-up to Super Mario World than any previous game, and even if its innovations are muted and on the periphery, this is the evolution the series needed. It's a simple question, really: Do you like 2D Mario? If so, play this game. It is that damn good.

These kinds of games are not for everyone, and some people may not like ZombiU due to its high level of difficulty or clunky combat. Power of Illusion is a game for Disney fans, specifically those with fond memories of playing the Disney games made by Capcom and Sega on Super Nintendo and Genesis. It has ample amounts of fan service and finely tuned platforming, but some of its periphery elements, such as the paint and thinner mechanics, just fall short. In a way, the game is oddly similar to the first Epic Mickey on Wii: a rock-solid concept hampered by a few stifled gameplay ideas.

For a game targeted at kids, Theme Park is pretty easy. The game's overly simple concepts shouldn't present a challenge for players of any age. A six-year-old will breeze through this game; a 12-year-old shouldn't even bother. The game provides a lot to do, but should only occupy those who can stand its repetitiveness. The 3DS has plenty of great kid-appropriate games, but this is not one.

One especially glaring issue is the game's lack of a way to save your progress mid-challenge in the campaign mode-you must complete the entire challenge in one go. It's not especially fun (though my face-off with each legendary critter was a heart-pounding experience), and the clear purpose of the application is to obtain Pokémon and items to transfer to the upcoming sequels. If you plan to own either Black 2 or White 2, this is a necessity, as it will give you a leg up in the game (as well as some exclusive Pokémon). Despite, or maybe because of, these flaws, Devil Band is surprisingly engaging in a rote sort of way. I can't say I ever actually enjoyed myself while playing it, but I didn't hate it, either. It is the least complex tower defense game I've ever played, which I sort of appreciate, but at the same time I find myself wanting a better game. It by no means has made me a tower defense fan, but it hasn't driven me away from the genre, either.

Cat Frenzy stands out among similar DSiWare content as a decent puzzle game. Despite the complexity of the game's mission mode, the quick play mode provides a good amount of fun on its own.

Penguin Patrol is a decent puzzle game with cute graphics and quirky characters. If you're willing to suffer through some of the game's more tedious puzzles, it may be worth picking up to occupy time that might otherwise be spent staring off into space.

For those with an interest in either strategy games or RPGs, but not sold on the other, Conquest is the perfect introduction to both.

You just boot up the game, enjoy it for almost 100 seconds, and move on. You can come back and play later, but there's no need to.

In essence, Funky Barn 3D is a farming simulator in which you just feed animals. What little the game teaches you to do in the beginning is hardly useful by the end. The machinery you purchase takes over for you the further you get into the game, creating a rather shallow experience.

Mad Dog McCree on 3DS might be worth it for folks who want to play the famously awful FMV game and have no other way to do so. But the vast majority of players are better off either ignoring this silly game or tracking it down on a system where light gun games are more fun to play.

Overall, Art of Balance Touch! is a remarkable title, and one that would be hard not to recommend to any 3DS owner. It a polished experience, but also a great title to just pick up and play, and the added Endurance mode does a great job of extending the game's life well after all the worlds have been completed.

If anything is wrong with Battleship, it is that there is nothing remarkable about it. The game is fun and challenging, but bogged down by the very movie that inspired it. It might have also benefited from some sort of multiplayer option, but as it stands, you could buy far worse on the Wii.

I can think of an impressive list of horrible, horrible things I'd rather do than play Chronicles of the Vampires: The Awakening (for example, being mauled by a bear is at least exciting). If you spend money on this game, you deserve what's coming to you.

Despite the creativity in its concept, Snakenoid is absolutely horrible in execution.
