ChromaGun 2 is a little overstuffed at times, but the central puzzle mechanic is good fun and mostly results in well-thought-out puzzles.- Movies Games and Tech

Despite being a basic port of a title that lays smack-bang in the middle of a gargantuan series, Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero manages to be both approachable and thrilling, resulting in a classic 2D JRPG that shows up some of the latter 3D entries in both story and design, and has me excited to play the Trails series again.- Movies Games and Tech

A brilliant dissection of the emotional baggage that comes with time travel. Old Skies showcases excellent writing and a handful of clever gameplay moments, even if it leans on time loops a bit much.- Movies Games and Tech

King Arthur: Knight's Tale is an interesting hybrid title that has some unusual elements. However, the bland level design and repetitive overworld hold it back. Had these layers been improved, this would have held my attention throughout. As it is, I recommend it as I know others will forgive these shortcomings.- Movies Games and Tech

HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed is a fun and colourful nostalgia-infused shooter. This can be enjoyed alone or with others competitively and cooperatively. Moreover, it has plenty of action to keep you busy. However, I fear that the online servers may become unbalanced and toxic.- Movies Games and Tech

Thanks to a solid turn-based combat system and an extremely convincing set of characters and an enthralling story, Expeditions: Rome manages to be a great RPG but a not so great strategy game.- Movies Games and Tech

Despite its shortcomings, Atelier Yumia still offers a fun and engaging experience, especially for fans of the series and alchemy mechanics. The story, UI, and animations are definite highlights, and the synthesis system remains a strong point. I will recommend this to anyone that wants to chill, gather, craft and switch off for a while. However, the poor world design, redundant mechanics, and unbalanced progression prevent it from reaching the heights of its predecessors.- Movies Games and Tech

Wildfrost is a fantastic deck-builder with rogue-like mechanics. What's more, it has a melancholy story, incredible graphics, and stunning audio. On top of this, it is challenging, addictive, and grim. However, the tough action will put some of you off. Yet, I urge you to break through the learning curve as you battle to save humanity from the Wildfrost.- Movies Games and Tech

In summary, Super Alloy Ranger is a short, yet passionate love letter to the Mega Man series. The gameplay, remaining simplistic in its approach, is unbelievably engaging and accessible. Although the narrative direction is mostly forgettable and lacklustre, the visual and audio departments more than make up for it through their superb presentation. I can easily recommend Super Alloy Ranger to retro 2D platforming fans, especially those who enjoyed Mega Man X, or the Metal Slug series.- Movies Games and Tech

It would have been nice if there were some special features, artwork from Steve Purcell or some of the original comics, but as the saying goes, you should never look a gift horse in the mouth, because this effervescent and evergreen title is an ageless wine with a comically-large gun, and one can only hope that this leads to not only the remastering of the entire trilogy of games on consoles, but also something new. Sam and Max are back, baby.- Movies Games and Tech

Rhythm Sprout is a fun but tough rhythmical title that’ll push you to your limits. This short demo gives you an insight into what to expect upon full release. I can’t wait to take on the final product even if I risk losing my cool and my sanity- Movies Games and Tech

Deadlink is a relentless arena-based FPS with rogue-lite elements. You must jump, dive, and shoot your way to victory. However, death is guaranteed, and failure is all but assured. Yet, this matters not as you become stronger, faster, and wiser with each passing playthrough.- Movies Games and Tech

While Terraformers has its faults like the unclear tutorials that don’t explain the mechanics of the game very well, it is overall still a very fun game. This is thanks to the fantastic presentation, the many unlockable options and difficulty options leading to a very replayable game, and the challenging yet enjoyable gameplay. I strongly recommend giving this game a go. While it has a slow start, I encourage you to push through its grueling start to find a fantastic game with a lot of depth and an emotional soundtrack.- Movies Games and Tech

A chaotic explosion of broken glass and laser beams. Slayers X's guns feel great to use and it has a chaotic 90/00s feel to it. A few of the genre's persistent issues are stuck to its shoe but, on the whole, it's good fun to play.- Movies Games and Tech

Aliens: Dark Descent is a great strategy title with oodles of potential. However, game-breaking bugs and annoying sound bites hold it back. Yet, if the problems can be ironed out, you'll enjoy a tough and deep trip in to the Aliens world.- Movies Games and Tech

PJ Masks Power Heroes: Mighty Alliance is a safe and fun family-friendly title. If you love the franchise, then you'll adore the OTT and zany action. Moreover,it is perfect for younger gamers and it is easy to understand and straightforward to play. However, it is this simplicity that will drive parents mad.- Movies Games and Tech

As I start playing the game, its engaging experience brings surprise to me. Do not be fooled by its casual-like appearance as it does requires some thinking to do. It’s wrong to think planting down the tiles without concerning the consequences will fills in all the gap. In my humble opinion, it’s not just about fill in the gap. It’s about trying my best in evolving the terrains into populated lands and working my best to counter the cataclysms with my technology. In overall, I recommend to give this game a try if players want to try a beginner level city building simulator genre.- Movies Games and Tech

If your heart flipped at designing elegant pipe systems in Opus Magnum, or debugging logic in SpaceChem, Kaizen: A Factory Story hits similar notes, punctuated by it’s narrative beats, period authenticity, and spotlighted cultural insight. It’s thoughtful, polished, and refreshing in its blend of story and systems. If you’re curious, the built-in demo offers a solid taste of the game’s blend of puzzle rigor and historical charm. If you enjoy methodical puzzle games, value story and context as much as gears and belts, and like the idea of returning to perfect your creations, Kaizen delivers a rich, rewarding, and unexpectedly emotional factory-building experience.- Movies Games and Tech

While I went in with low expectations, Achilles Survivor was able to clear them with minimal effort. Dark Point Games have proven themselves in my eyes, and created a solid experience worth the attention of genre fans. Despite minor balancing flaws, it’s a more than serviceable time-waster, one that I plan to sink many more hours into.- Movies Games and Tech

Birdigo no doubt succeeded in being an enjoyable and addictive experience, on top of that it had some unique power-ups and it was a very calm and peaceful game. However, its difficulty and luck dependent system ruined the gameplay massively. It's no doubt one of the best word games I've ever played but at the same time the hardest and most annoying one too.- Movies Games and Tech

I often bemoan barebone re-releases as quick cash-ins from publishers trying to revitalize their IP with minimal effort, and while Persona 4 Arena Ultimax does fit that criteria (as the DLC and Japanese audio were already technically available), in all honesty, it was already an excellent 2D fighting package that didn’t need improving. And with rollback netcode on the horizon to give the game more of a modern relevancy, there’s never been a better opportunity to jump in.- Movies Games and Tech

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a solid 2D action roguelite. It excels in its movement mechanics making for great platforming sections combined with satisfying combat. Much of what I have said that I didn’t feel too strongly about the game were smaller aspects such as the medallions and the limited dialogue variety. Regardless of these small gripes, I would say this a great roguelite to pick up and sink some time into.- Movies Games and Tech

The Ruined King is varied enough that it kept me entertained throughout the majority of my playthrough, but combat fatigue eventually left me feeling a little exhausted by the end of it. While the story is fairly simplistic, the charming characters, mixed with the sublime art style, made it a fun jaunt overall. If you are a fan of League of Legends and turn-based RPGs, then this is the game for you. Otherwise, I’d recommend waiting until this goes on sale before picking it up for yourself.- Movies Games and Tech

The Gap is a brave and mostly effective stab at a deep, emotional story. The non-linear way the story is told is an effective use of the medium but its otherwise uninspired gameplay and short length do drag it down a touch.- Movies Games and Tech
