PES 2014 is a new era in Konami's franchise. Fox Engine offers new options, more realistic visuals and better mechanics, but not polished at all. This is the first step to return to the top of the genre.

Dragon Quest Heroes is a great action game and is more solid than other Musou games. Great RPG additions, good visuals and lots of content to unlock, it's probably the best spin off in the Dragon Quest saga.

Rock Band's comeback is a very solid musical videogame that rescues everything we liked in the past like the legendary multiplayer and adds satisfying new features like the solos and avatar customization.

Madden 25 is better game than its predecessor, with some improvements in offensive abilities and owner mode in Franchise career. However, it's more a Madden 14 than 25th series tribute.

Helldivers 2 is a fantastic coop game that takes the third person shooter to another level, besides some problems within matchmaking system.

If F1 25 stands out in anything, it is in terms of content, where the return of Braking Point adds the deepest career mode in the series, with a commendable level of depth in terms of management and control that ensures dozens of hours throughout the season.

Skunkape Games offers us a great remaster of the second season of Telltale´s Sam & Max, which looks better than ever and is still a great point and click adventure game.

Under Night In-Birth is a good fighting game. Not better than Persona 4 Arena or BlazBlue saga, but has some unique and original mechanics that pro players are gonna love.

Wonderfully inventive and with a charm that's all its own, Olija delights and surprises at every turn. The very personal creation of Thomas Ollson this is a game that every videogame lover should save an afternoon to fully experience. Lovely.

Chivalry 2 becomes one of the most surprising multiplayer games of last months, with a solid combat and fantastic setting. Only some lack of content -modes, maps- ward the game off a higher point, but Torn Banner is expected to solve this.

The "Showdown Tour" is long enough to have hours of fun and it can be played on three different modes: "Destruction", "Style" and "Race". Multiplayer mode played online is essential to have a good experience with that game.

Penny´s Big Breakaway is a surprisingly solid jump into the 3D realm by the creators of Sonic Mania, brimming with color and energy and sporting a surprisingly good soundtrack.

Guardians of Middle-Earth is a good attempt to bring MOBA game mechanics to the console. It has tactical depth, it's balanced and is a great cooperative experience.

Ghostrunner is a fresh and frantic action game set in a striking cyberpunk universe. A videogame that offers a demanding gameplay experience that will force us to master each of the cyborg's abilities to advance in a somewhat generic script.

Fun, original and well executed. A powerful rift for the ages.

ArenaNet surprises with an annual expansion that is much more interesting than the previous one. Its story is captivating, it has improved features and an amazing audiovisual quality.

An interesting tactical RPG that brings us the origins from this series' story and completes it with a variety of characters with high charisma in a mix of visual novel sequences and fighting scenarios.

There may be less revenue from micropayments this year, but player opinions will improve, as it remains at the top of the sports genre in terms of both technical and gameplay. We hope this truly marks a turning point in the policy surrounding the game, and we can enjoy increasingly better and more player-friendly releases.

It still lacks features to add variety and depth, but Elite Dangerous is a great foundation for a really good space simulator and the core ideas, interface and control are fantastic as they are. It will be exciting to see its evolution.

Being the third and final installment on the "Mysterious" trilogy, this game offers a title which takes the best from the recent games and mix it with some features from the "Arland" trilogy, making a game which improves in graphic, playability and content.

Stasis is a classic point and click adventure game with high terror doses that there will be charmed with the fans of the graphical adventures.

Romeo is a Dead Man is Suda51's most introspective work to date: a narratively rich, stylish action game with strong authorial identity, solid combat and clear niche appeal.

Pandaria is a very nice expansion for WoW, adding a ton of a content, an outstanding new territory and some clever touches to enhance the experience of the classic MMO. However, even with the excellent craft of Blizzard, it can't avoid some of the old routines, making everything a bit predictable.

Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster has improved graphics, some new stuff, new modes and still is a great classic Resident Evil game 13 years later.

A joy for players looking for something interesting and original. The clever puzzle design and the great mechanic of changing dimensions makes this a really good experiencie, only a bit flawed by some details that are bearable anyway.

Expeditions: Rome is an ambitious turn-based strategy game that unites adventure, role-playing, strategy and tactical combat in a single title. It stands out for a pampered recreation of the culture of the time and despite its markedly strategic vocation, it has a consistent story that will hook the user and motivate him to progress in the game. The tactical combat, thanks to its movement system and the infinite possibilities of personalization of the units, are the best that has been seen. He just flounders on the strategic map where, waiting for the legion to have something to do, the protagonist wanders aimlessly looking for a random event to happen.

EA SPORTS FC 26 improves the gameplay feeling and reduce the pace impact during matches, but at the same time there's almost no new relevant content in other aspects.

Cyber Sleuth is the best Digimon game in years, and most importantly: is not just for the fans of the franchise. If you are a JRPG enthusiast and need something to play until the release of Persona 5, or you just want something similar to the Pokémon series on a Sony system, this is a game that you have to get.

One of the best individual episodes from Telltale. While it can be discussed that it has taken way too much time from Episode 1, it´s also hard to argue that it has been time well-spent. Tales from the Borderlands seems to keep an excellent pace with an interesting story and great characters.

A dystopian, Orwellian future mixed with a third person shooter, Action RPG, some strategy and deep options of customization gives PS Vita one of those titles the machine should receive more often. Freedom Wars is, like Soul Sacrifice for example, a title which has it flaws, but what really matters is the sum of its parts. It's long, funny, oriented to single-player and multiplayer. And it takes us and turns us into post-apocalyptic world prisoners, fighting for our freedom in a mixture between Judge Dredd, THX 1138 and an anime story. A great choice to give some AAA ration to our Vitas indeed.

Telltale Games bring to us another crazy adventure. It's one of the best Telltale games to date with a strong story, a lot of fun and an epic end that the players will be charmed with.

Deus Ex GO represents the next step in Square Enix Montreal puzzler series with well-balanced elements from the previous games. Lots of challenges to get through thanks to Adam Jensen augmented skills.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit has aged wonderfully. Ten years have not been enough for this work to begin to show some seams, because both in the playable side and in the design structure of its challenges it is still intact. The remastering work is minimal, only technical, and we miss a greater effort to improve some textures, the fluidity of the images or the models, which do not stand out excessively. Luckily, on the playable level it is still excellent in almost all its sections, the Autolog is a sensational idea and there are always reasons to return: wasted content. Hot Pursuit is back in 2020 to remind us just how good it is.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 brings more magic, more fantasy, more puzzles… but… Is it better tan its predecessor? Not really, but it´s not worse, either. If you enjoyed the first game get ready for another rollercoaster of fun.

Although the story is interesting, it fails because the missions are designed for infiltration, but the game lacks enough mechanics in that regard. Something similar happens with vehicle racing, that the controls are very simple and were not conceived for a modality of this ready. What is very good is the shooting range, an addition that allows you to test the weapons before using them with the enemy through small missions. In short, with its mistakes, this is the best way to enjoy the experience that Death Stranding proposes.

Mortal Kombat is a good port and a great option for PS Vita if you don't have the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 version. The NetherRealm game is the same as last year, but full of content: extra Tower Challenges and all the DLC characters available.

Volition takes what had worked on Saint's Row and adds some of the best things that have popularized games like Overwatch. For example, twelve characters that represent the variety the secondary missions don't have, and a story mode that isn't the most important in a game that just wants to entertain you.. and it absolutely does.

Kaze and the Wild Masks will provide you with a very good adventure with original mechanics and a design impeccable visuals.

Laika: Aged Through Blood is a very original and satisfying metroidvania once you master the motorcycle, the true protagonist of a post-apocalyptic adventure of violence and revenge. A 2D game with a very stylish artistic direction and a soundtrack that you won't want to stop listening to.

Back 4 Blood is a great co-op driven by the roots of the genre and beyond.

An interesting title which has its strengths in the curious mix of hack and slash combat with farming features, besides a charming cast of characters.

InXile's successor to Planescape Torment doesn't manage to live up to the storytelling of its predecessor, lacking distinct major characters, memorable moments, and well-developed themes, but it compensates for its failings on the main storyline by providing plenty of memorable and distinct little stories in a fascinating world, with quests that offer multiple solutions that rarely rely on combat.

In The Oracle, what appears to be a new episode in the cat and mouse game chasing a murderer becomes something different and refreshing. Do not be fooled by the who is the murderer? Promo: There is so much more to reveal through this third episode.

Shadow of the Ninja Reborn is a game crafted by Japanese artisans who really love their job. A very good memory of what gaming was all about 30 years ago, which also happens to play as smoothly as it looks.

World of Final Fantasy is a gorgeous celebration for the series 30th anniversary, a colorful and joyful JRPG with monster capture elements, a lot of cameos from old heroes and a beautiful score. It has some flaws, but the package is strong enough to be recommended to everyone that loves this series or the genre in general.

Funny, varied, stylish, with gameplay that make use of its elements in a clever way to never feel repetitive trough out the main Campaign mode, Kirby's Triple Deluxe is that, a triple success in its rhythm, visuals and soundtrack.

Freedom and exploration in a bike game? Wow. Lonely Mountains: Downhill is more than just a pretty game. It's an experience and it can be as relaxing or challenging as you want. We wish there would be a new saga here.

Atomic Heart is a game with identity and some brilliant elements, but its flaws prevent it from offering a solid structure. It could have been so much better.

A really strong beginning with some really memorable narrative moments and intense dialogues. Especially catered for fans of the series.

LEGO The Lord of the Rings is the perfect mixture of the famous Peter Jackson saga and the humor of LEGO. You have to play it if you like the world of this saga.

Take a very good old school 2D platform and make an overhaul in the parts where it needs. The result? An even better game, that's Zack Zero in this PC version, whose gameplay and graphics feel and look better with the new improvements. One of the best indie platformers of 2012, this made in Spain Zack Zero is still too short, but a game all 2D platformer lovers should not miss on Steam.

Just like if someone had tried to mix the future after the pulse in James Cameron's Dark Angel with the ghettos and refugee camps of a war conflict, the visuals, the atmosphere and the misery surround us every second in this game, a great old-school graphic adventure made in Spain by four people. Good puzzles, curious OST and a great story make Dead Synchronicity one of those games that fans of the genre should try.

Flinthook is another great Roguelite game. Frantic, challenging and solid level design.

Yo-kai Watch has improved almost everything from its predecessor, despite being very conservative in its mechanics and gameplay. However, the new additions and quantity of content turns out to be a more solid and better game.

In spite of its high price and short duration, it is a narrative experience more than recommended for all the lovers of the genre and those who enjoyed the previous title from Fullbright: Gone Home.

A good expansion with some transformative features and plenty of good ideas (even if some of them don't land exactly on their feet). Not a revolution but a placid evolution of a great base game.

Although this ps5 release fails to include a great deal of additional content from R-Type Final 2, it shines so beautifully and plays so nicely that it's a perfect match for any shmup fan. A very solid game from a saga pretty much unexpected to be alive in 2023.

Rainbow Six Extraction is a co-op with identity. It perfectly captures the tactical gameplay of Siege in a non-competitive environment.

A better approach from Beamdog, giving us an improved version of Icewind Dale focused on polish more than novelties. Perfectly executed and with the neat additions of classes and kits to give a great game more depth.

Among Ashes is an unexpected and pleasant surprise within survival horror genre. A game capable of breaking the wall between the player and the narrative from the other side of TV.

Marvel Snap has every ingredient to create a winner recipe for mobile: inmediacy, generosity with its rewards, respect for the player's time... We only doubt about the depth of its gameplay, being the long term one obstacle to overcome.

The best atmosphere since the days of Underground and Carbon. We love his visual and sound excesses and all the new ideas (the structure of the story mode, its surprising difficulty and its renewed and slow progression system). Control continues without convincing us (just Heat 2.0), but this is the way. Unbound gives us hope in the NFS saga.

Rocket League is a great arcade experience. Simple and addictive, with good gameplay mechanics and frantic matches.

Yomawari Midnight Shadows follows its predecessor in major aspects but is getting better in others like the graphic style and the game's story. The playability keeps on the same level with minor improvements but is interesting to play. Graphically it has a notable upgrade and the atmosphere maintains a good level from the first game, especially in monster design and sound.

A sandbox game with a fascinating world that is worth of exploring, with a fantastic narrative inherited from Fallen London and lots of nice touches. However, it can be really slow, requires patience and backtracking. Not a game for everyone, but worth playing for anyone looking for something different.

Harder and even more enjoyable, nice selection of themes, great presentation and fun mechanics makes Project Diva a great ride.

The first title of this two games saga manages to create a perfect environment for its sequel with a slow but interesting story along with an original but simple combat systems.

Again, Skylanders is interesting for kids, a big and great beat'em up adventure this time full of minigames and challenges. The 16 SWAP Force figures let to switch the bodies and form new characters. This is a wonderful idea for the varied gameplay.

Atelier Lulua shows itself as an interesting title which through its story, characters and game mechanics hold the players interest until the end.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition improves graphics, now 1080p, and it adds all DLCs. If you like sandbox games, go ahead and get ready to fight with martial arts and perfect shots, also enjoy driving in wonderful Hong Kong.

A brilliant modern retro game, bringing back Contra´s legacy with grace and skill. Although it adheres to the well-known formula maybe too much, this game is a must for any retro-oriented gamer out there no matter the challenge required.

A technically correct game, with many hours of fun for less than 15 €, but it fails to achieve the balance in combat, which is essential in this genre.

Neon Inferno is the perfect Contra - Gallery Shooter mashup. A brilliantly crafted arcade experience made to be replayed, as were the titles of yesteryear.

An installment that improves on its predecessor in practically every way: the new types of combat and the return of chain wrestling increase the possibilities in the ring, while outside of it we will enjoy the hours we want thanks to the expansion and expected changes in the already known modes, including a great Showcase.

Aeterna Noctis blends indie platforming with the universe of a huge metroidivania. A game following the footsteps of Hollow Knight and Celeste, shining gorgeusly on the visual front.

Dead or Alive 5 is more spectacular, balanced, has more fluid gameplay, and good in-game modes. Some laggy matches and too-hard CPU AI prevent it from being a great fighting game.

The BlazBlue saga returns to the spotlight with Central Fiction. This game offers us the resolution to the story arc that began in the first game of the series. In playable terms is the most polished, although its graphic section shows obvious signs of wear.

There is no doubt Modern Warfare 3 is a great FPS on top of its particular and extremely succesful formula. But when it comes to the PC version, it becomes painfully obvious that this engine has gone as far as it could go in the technical and visual department, especially against the new competition.

Sonic Frontiers breaks the curse within the 3D franchise with a great designed open world adventure. It's not perfect, but is easy to fall in love with it. A legend like Sonic deserved a game like this.

It´s a poor man's Far Cry 3 without the stunning vistas and cut mechanics, but it´s also a fun homage to the 80s and Action Hero movies, all while delivering a nice and straightforward shooter.
