It also has an amazing gameplay that takes the SRPG premise and make it a whole new thing, more complex, deep and unique. Disgaea was one of the best PS2 games -- It later became a PSP must have, and now, it's happening the same on the DS version: if you like the genre, don't doubt it.

Kirby: Planet Robobot is a solid, fun and clever 2D platform game. Mechs are a great addition and has good extra modes. However, it's too easy.

Wreckfest is a great successor to the Destruction Derby legacy. A game with personality and fun, with the best recreation of damages and accidents, and with excellent physics.

Resident Evil HD Remaster has new modern control, is more intuitive, and has all the good gameplay mechanics that we saw on the original remake. Looks great in HD, but there's nothing news in terms of content.

The Division is a great mix of TPS, Action RPG and MMO features. Intense campaign, full of content and great endgame and Dark Zone. Has some problems with repetitive side-quests and enemy AI, but is a solid experience, better in co-op mode.

InFamous is a superheroes' different history. Cole handles the options and power that the electricity has given him, and with them he can do the good or get squarely into the dark side. With a few excellent controls, many power unlockables and the freedom complete to move and to use them for Empire City, this game is the "sleeper" PS3 game of this year. At least it has demonstrated a quality and an amusement within reach of few games.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues the great efforts from the 2019 installment by improving every aspect without taking too many risks.

Living the life of an android is what David Cage and Quantic Dream offer us in their new game. Detroit Become Human is an emotional experience from beginning to end, a journey with three humanoid robots in a playable story-oriented narrative experience in the tradition of Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. Yes, maybe the gameplay is different, it's not the usual fare, but the depth and consequences of our reactions make the gameplay feel organic in every action, reaction and decision we make, not just a 'you chose well/you chose poorly' thing. Visually a spectacle, the best thing in Detroit: Become Human is not what we play, but what we feel.

Pokémon Legends Arceus is a must for fans of the franchise, a success in its reinterpretation of the gameplay formula, which introduces action in the capture and mobility without giving up the turns in combat. The loop is addictive and fun: it works wonders. Game Freak has nailed in practically everything mechanically, with huge, well-designed, hostile, vertical, open environments full of secrets to be solved. We have a long journey ahead of us. Its technical section, however, subtracts in the result despite its artistic preciosity. Fortunately, the series has found the way, one that can coexist with the classic and that should be fed back from now on. This title is a celebration after an era of ups and downs. Pokémon is more alive than ever: this work marks a new and exciting beginning on which to build, polish and improve. We are to be congratulated. Turning point.

Dark Hero Days offers exactly what we could expect form a production with Nippon Ichi's seal - plenty of fun, unlimited hours in front of the PSP and an outstanding storyline that makes us laugh and smile from time to time. With a few new additions, Disgaea 2's back at its best.

Splatoon 2 is arguably the best entry in a multiplayer game from Nintendo. The game does everything better than the original Splatoon, although at first glance it could seem the same. Salmon Run and Hero Mode are just honey in the overall; it is excellent in its conception.

Not much novelty for a game that was already brilliant. Wii U has a complete and nearly perfect version, very tactile and easy to enjoy, also in multiplayer.

The Forgotten City looks like the result of crossing Skyrim, Outer Wilds and Deadly Premonition. Fascinating. One of the stories of the year. The Skyrim mod that transformed into a swan.

The Evil Within 2 improves on its predecessor, with great TPS combat, solid stealth mechanics and better crafting and exploring zones. And, more importantly, the game answers all the questions from first game.

This superb remake of the 1993 JRPG cult classic is also an outstanding game in its own right. The numerous player decisions and their narrative impact ensure that players willing to invest the time and effort needed will be rewarded with one of the best titles the genre has to offer.

Unforeseen Incidents does not stand out because of the originality of its plot, but its narrative is compelling. Players will connect with its characters and atmosphere while solving some clever puzzles.

You can't think of a better Assassin's Creed II finale and the plot of the last chapter of Ubisoft series leaves us wanting more, but new features are presented with a dropper and they definitely aren't a significant advance towards next game. Multiplayer mode is the big winner with Revelations, and it continues its expansion. One thought: it will have far greater importance in the future. A must for every fan of Assassin's Creed.

Final Fantasy IV's latest collection is very much what the name says - a compilation of every chapter seen so far, including the original storyline and also The After Years. There's a cheap Interlude that last for three of four hours and a couple artworks that just make it. It's the 'definitive' collection, and thus the better choise to pick for those willing to enjoy the real JRPG essence.

Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero is a fantastic tribute to the saga and to Akira Toriyama.

Bayonetta 1+2 is one of the best hack and slash compilation in terms of gameplay and looks fantastic in handheld mode. However, it isn't polished in dock mode with only 720p and excessive jaggies.

More of the same stuff, but this time slightly improved. This particular way of understanding the strategy under Mario's eyes is quite entertaining, but's lacking some new features. A worth-buying game for fans of the genre.

A classic Dungeon Crawler with the two best rosters in Persona Franchise. Challenging dungeons, great dialogues and deep combat system.

A triumph of the interactive narrative, good proof that with good writers and a solid direction, letting the player make decisions can make a good story better. An intense game with more decisions and more consequences.

Deep Rock Galactic has everything a co-op shooter should offer. The combat is thrilling, the exploration is deep, and the game itself is infinite. Pure fun if you play it with up to four friends and such great entertainment if you play it solo. You can't go wrong with this indie.

Football Manager 2016 has many improvements, adds new interesting modes, has deeper statistics, and is full of content. However, still some classic issues remain in terms of visuals and sound.

This Yoshi's port is remarkable in each of every part of the game. The level design continues to be superb, and the handheld environment feels as pure as the original. Probably the best Yoshi's adventure ever seen in a handheld.

Fantastic and groundbreaking combat linked to a rich character building makes Reckoning a really enjoyable experience. There is a lot of content in Amalur and a remarkable passion for detail but the way it´s designed sometimes makes this hard to notice. However, it´s a highly recommendable experience, especially for ARPG fans looking only for loot and combat.

Dark Souls: Remastered proves the original Dark Souls to be a pretty solid experience even seven years later. This remaster of FromSoftware's 2011 title includes few but necessary enhancements, like 4K support and, at last, solid 60 FPS gameplay.

The King is back in this new rendition of the classic PC game. 3D Realms brings Duke Nuken 3D to Xbox 360 with new gameplay elements that make the adventure more interesting and also an extremely funny multiplayer that reminds us of classics like Unreal Tournament or Counter Strike. It’s been around for 12 years, but this is still a must have for just 800 Microsoft Points.

Disgaea 7 is the return to the series in style, being by far the most accessible game in the series through its different options while retaining the characteristic identity that has popularised the franchise, both through gameplay mechanics and the development of the plot. At last, SHIFT is the change we were expecting in the NFS franchise, after so many years of tuning. Now we take part in the professional racing world, and we can drive with the best in-car view we have ever seen in a videogame. In essence it's just a Harvest Moon clone, but made with such care that all the virtues of the original are all here. Stardew Valley is a beautiful game with great gameplay, made with love and full of charming characters to meet and interact with.

When you do strip away the deep religious overtones, what you have is one of the best action adventure platformers this year, with pacing that is often reminiscent of 8- and 16-bit side scrollers.

A unique and almost essential title, which will test our skills and will force us to make brutal decisions in order to survive.
