Total War: Attila reveals itself as a worthy successor to the Total War series with many improvements and interesting new mechanics. It can be said that we have finally found the game that Rome II should have been. It's a pity that we had to wait till this new implementation to see the wishes of the fans satisfied. At least we have gained a new and exciting Era for the series such as the fall of the Roman Empire and the arrival of the Huns. Now, it's time for Europe to tremble.

Snow instead of sand, mountains instead of beach, but the same concept of a dark paradise, Far Cry 4 takes us on a journey through an exotic land in civil war. We choose who are our allies and who our enemies in a game with the same mechanics and gameplay as Far Cry 3, only expanded and polished in a bigger environment and with a vast array of side quests. Add a great multiplayer cooperative and competitive and one of those charismatic villains, and you have a new journey to paradise that fans of FPS, sandbox and the Far Cry series should embark on.

Red Matter 2 is a technical wonder. Vertical Robot have raised, with this second part, a bar that they had already established with their previous game. The Assassin's Creed franchise returns after a year of absence with a new game set in Ancient Egypt. Origins is a new beginning for the series, and comes along with several major changes in gameplay design. Ubisoft's Egypt is not only beautiful and dangerous, but also a mysterious living world. The new RPG system, the redesigned combat system, and the missions are the pillars of Assassin's Creed Origins. It is more an evolution of the formula than a revolution. Of course it´s not a perfect game, specially because the battle system doesn´t work so well with many enemies. Also, the AI should be improve in the future.

Treyarch archieves with Black Ops the best single player campaign in a recent Call of Duty; spectacular, memorable, well driven and with a very solid script, and wraps it with some other extras that denote special care to the solo-player. This is probably the best game in the “Project DIVA” series to date. With 224 songs and more than 300 modules available in the game it seems more than enough to provide with hours attached to the gamepad playing this game from the classic series fan to the newbie ones or anyone who wants to play a great “rhythm game” completing the different songs at higher levels or trying the different survival courses.

Cocoon comes as a breath of fresh air to an industry saturated with experiences cut from the same pattern. And he does it brilliantly, following the guidelines set by the previous works of a creative duo who seem to know no limits when it comes to proposing and suggesting. Cocoon represents all this and more, an interactive experience that captivates and surprises through a simple button and a lot of good ideas executed brilliantly. A must stop for those who like proposals that break the rules and contain much more inside than one would expect from a simple exploration and puzzle title.
