Shift 2 Unleashed is a great racing game, with some nice touches like the helmet cam or the presence of rubber on the tracks. Take an idea you implemented in another game, and extend it to make a new IP. That's the premise behind Captain Toad, but in this case it's taking something so good as the levels of Toad in Mario 3D World, and making a whole game with them. It's funny, smart, so adorable and screams Nintendo in every part of its code. Sure, perhaps the camera needs polish, and maybe it's easy and short, but try to get all the treasures on every level and we'll see if it's still so easy and short. A little gem in the Wii U catalog, certainly not for everybody -at least if they don't like puzzles games, or the platformers without a jump button- and it's one of those titles whose only purpose is to have fun with.

Intelligent Systems takes the risk of not following the path opened by the successful Awakening and Fates, but instead travels to the past to bring back the old mechanics from the obscure 2nd entry in the franchise. This is the last entry of the original Phoenix Wright trilogy. It includes all-new runabouts that are set in the past and present of the ace attorney. The story is very well-driven, and it links every character in the game with each other, leading to a great conclusion. Sure, it's not the best DS game at a technical level, but it offers everything that we want in a Phoenix Wright game: it's fun, big, interesting and charming.
