Ninja Gaiden is back, bloodier and more brutal than ever before. With flawless controls and a superb fighting system this is truly a fantastic action game, just like its predecessors. Unfortunately some awkward camera angles punishes the player far too often and the overall design fails to impress. The lack of innovation and some annoying flaws makes this title a lesser game than its predecessors.

Bionic Commando is a fun, although somewhat unfinished, action title where the main attraction being the swinging mechanic the series was made famous for. Not only good for swinging, the bionic arm is also a vital part of the combat gameplay as it allows you to toss enemies and rubble alike with ease. Although the straightforward action setup in the game is an homage to the 20 year old original it fails to really motivate the player. A poor excuse for invisible walls, bleak level design and unimpressive firearms does hurt the overall impression of what could have been a really great game.

Despite being a short puzzle adventure on the easy side this is a perfect example of playful game design that rubs off on the player. If you're in any way in touch with your inner child this is a well crafted and beautifully realized experience you'll love.

In the videogame adaptation of the Ice Age 3 movie you'll get to control several characters from the movie. Most levels have a unique flavor of their own which leads to a varied but also somewhat splintered experience. Everything from Indiana Jones inspired levels to controlling dinosaur spaceship is represented in the game. Though it might be a somewhat uneven experience Ice Age 3 is still the best movie based game for kids thus far.

Underworld is yet another solid title from Crystal Dynamics featuring the adventurous dame Lara Croft. Levels are as grand as they are beautiful and they certainly feed the urge to go o an adventure. The puzzles are well designed, and Miss Croft gets around well thanks to well implemented controls. There are some issues though, the game is a bit on the easy side, something badly balanced by less than stellar camera angles that will put you in a pickle from time to time. Despite this, Underworld is still a fantastic adventure.

The first couple of hours in Eternal Sonata are simply enchanting. Great design, graphics and music together create a truly endearing atmosphere. Battling enemies in the game is great fun as you progress in the game and delve deeper into the battle mechanics. The plot is a bit uneven though and the options for exploration, character development and equipment are meager to say the least. These flaws aside, this is still a great and beautiful adventure.

Ultra Street Fighter IV is the best version of Street Fighter so far. The option to take both of your ultra attacks into combat leads to a deeper and more challenging game. On the other hand it starts to show that Capcom have been making a little to many games in the series by now and for the casual player this update isn’t really a must buy.

As a translation of a peripheral based game to a button based portable game this is without a doubt a great experience. The concept of playing different instruments in sections to clear the tracks actually works really well and the formula in the stationary Rock Band games has been well translated to the portable format. If you're looking for a portable rhythm based music game on the PSP this is definitely a recommended purchase. There are some stains on the canvas though: only 41 tracks, no multiplayer and no interoperability with the PS3.

As an action game it's fantastic, especially the well integrated "Blade Mode" in which the protagonist Raiden can precision cut his foes. The script is kind of lacking though, and environments are often reused. Fantastic, but not perfect.

Singularity is a highly competent shooter crafted by the veterans at Raven Studios. The time manipulating mechanic is a cool addition to the first person shooter formula, but unfortunately it's not realised fully. Impressive presentation, great controls, an interesting storyline and epic bosses are enough to warrant a purchase though.

With the third entry of the Dead Space series, Visceral Games goes in another direction than before. Horror elements makes space for pure action with the introduction of co-op, open landscapes and cover based shooting. As an action game it's pretty good but it's still the worst game in the trilogy.

Monotonous, stupid and downright ugly. But all drawbacks asides, EDF 2012 succeeds in one thing - it's amazingly fun. There's an unmistakable feeling of panic at all time, and players needs to keep moving while thinking strategically. A bit to pricy though.

Metal Slug 7 offers you a fantastic action experience wrapped in two beautifully pixelated dimensions. You'll have to enjoy every minute you can though since the content being offered is meager to say the least. Seven levels in total is all you get, and even though you can challenge yourself with three stages of difficulty there is just way to little content to motivate a full retail price. It's a great game though, so keep an eye on the bargain bin.

Despite three all-new playable characters, the campaign fails to deliver and is far more restricted than expected. Instead it is thanks to a brilliant original concept and the creative users all over the world that make Little Big Planet 3 shine. With more tools and new characters there is no limit to how grand the world of Little Big Planet 3 will evolve.

A good looking Puzzle Bobble clone with upgrades and somewhat uneven pacing of the difficulty level. The in-game currency is strangely expensive, so save it for the later parts of the game.

Rivals keeps going in the same direction as Criterion's Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit. Meaning it’s an arcade racer in an open-world setting. Unfortunately the setting isn’t as fun and the police chases are more tedious than exciting. Aside from that Ghosts shows promise for the future of the series.

When Sacred 2 was released for the PC in 2008 it offered us a decent action adventure experience. The console version - although identical in appearance and structure - is somehow a more appealing experience. Even though it's not a top tier game it still offers you a great amount of enjoyable hours making your way through the massive world.

Even though it is a remake of a fifteen year old game, Guardian Heroes still manages to feel fresh. Guardian Heroes suffers from some balancing and control issues, but it proves that great entertainment never grows too old.

The Lego games have always been solid but never more than that. The tradition keeps going with Marvel Super Heroes. It’s charming and entertaining but also kind of monotonous. But if you like Marvel and good co-op you can do much worse than this.

Gran Turismo 6 is a Gran Turismo XL, for better and worse. The core concept with gathering cars is still great fun and at the same time the amount of time you have to put into the game is poorly managed.

The sixth game in the Ace Combat series seems to have Call of Duty as its main influence. It is intense and entertaining, but Assault Horizon has some flawed game mechanics and tries a bit too hard to be cool.

Far Cry 2 manages to lend the open world of typical RPG:s and mend it into a first person shooter. The trouble is that the game's world isn't properly adapted to the openness of the gameplay, leading to lots of tedious stretches of transportation. A somewhat silly AI and extremely tough enemies dampens what is otherwise a really competent shooter.

The story could be a lot stronger but Honest Hearts is a welcome addition to those mainly looking for a nice new area, new weapons, monsters and perks.

Resogun might not be the most amazing game released alongside the Playstation 4, but its intense gameplay still makes it a good one. The levels are few but great in design and fun. It’s not as great as Housemarque's title Super Stardust HD but good enough for a couple of hours of entertainment.

Pokemon is as good as ever, even though this is more of a remake than a new game. At the same time there are several parts that should’ve been upgraded by now, for example the poor story and the badly written dialogues. Still: just like Pokemon X & Y, it’s easy to spend to many hours catching monsters.

With the transition to the portable format, Gran Turismo PSP has managed to bring most of the selling points of it's stationary console siblings. The presentation is great, controls are solid and the content well crafted. But the omission of a true career mode is baffling. Being limited to single races only is a strange shortcoming given the many years that have passed since Gran Turismo PSP was originally announced. Though limited in scope, the actual driving experience is superb and easily one of the best on the PSP.

No advanced training routines but instead small and simple exercises that slowly improves your strength and balance. It contains a couple of new and entertaining mini games and some new features that makes good sense.

Everybody probably doesn’t love grindhouse humour and rail shooters in 2013. But there is no game like Typing of the Dead: Overkill. Together with the upcoming co-op mode it might be a future cult classic.

In many ways Tearaway is a charming, fun and unique platform game. The use of Media Molecules world of paper feels fresh and different but also comes with a fair share of frustration. And not in the way of a challenge. In all a solid platformer worth the money.

Fallout: New Vegas is a competent addition to the franchise, in many ways outshining Fallout 3 and in some falling a bit short. Obsidian have created a great rpg set in a vast world filled to the brim with content and a plot worth seeing through to end. Unfortunately the game is plagued with numerous technical issues which mar the experience. A great game once a patch is released.

When it comes to presentation and overall atmosphere Velvet Assassin does a great job of conveying the sense of being alone behind dark and threatening enemy lines. Unfortunately the gameplay is bogged down by repetitive executions, predictable events and a far too slow pacing. Looking beyond these issues you'll find a qualitative action title well suited for those keen on stealth based gameplay.

A game that is great for most parts, complete with the series signature atmosphere and old school puzzles. Sadly, there's some really lousy game mechanics, and a clear misuse of the Unreal engine. Thumbs up for the introduction of side missions though.

Content wise, this latest entry in the MotoGP franchise doesn't disappoint. The visuals do their job without standing out, and the balance between an arcade and realistic racing game is a good one. That being said, this is not for the hardcore simulator fans. MotoGP 09/10 is an enjoyable and competent racing game that doesn't stand out from the crowd.

With the powerful spirit Gig trapped in your body you must must use him more than he uses you if you want to stand a chance to save the world. This latest RPG from Nippon Ichi demands some invested time and effort from the player, with a complex gameplay that erects an unnecessarily high level of entry. But a solid cast of characters and plenty of units to build your army from makes this a worthwhile title nonetheless.

Pit the angel returns in a game that features complex rpg-elements, great music, smart use of the 3D functions and splendid gameplay. But the controls are literally painful, even with the Circle Pad Pro.

Slaying monsters has seldom been this addictive and rewarding, expecially if you play with friends. But the story is boring, the auction house ruins the balance and the variation within each class is too limited.

Just like the sibling franchises of NHL and FIFA there are constant strides made forward in EA:s golfing series Tiger Woods PGA Tour. Putting has been improved, the realtime weather does improve the overall realism and there are more things to do online. Unfortunately there are still too many things in here that are downright bad for us too really enjoy the experience to it's fullest. If you're not that much into online play you'll do fine with last years edition, otherwise this is a great game for golf fans everywhere.

At first MotoGP 14 on Playstation 4 doesn’t look like a noteworthy improvement over MotoGP 13 on Playstation 3. But after a while the improved graphics and physics are very notable and enhance the experience, even though there is still room for improvement. A great start for the series on the new generation.

Infinity Blade II plays a lot like a modern version of Punch Out, but with HD graphics and in a fantasy setting. The combat mechanics are fun and there is a bit of customization that will keep you occupied for some time, but Infinity Blade II is still extremely linear and repetitive.

If you didn't like the earlier Mario Kart games, then Mario Kart 7 most likely won't convert you. But for fans it's one of the best in the series especially while playing with friends.

Point and click-adventures aren't exactly released in abundant numbers these days, but Sam & Mac: Season One is one such release that manages to breathe life into the genre and add a healthy dose of humour into the mix at the same time. The sence of humour, the voice acting and and the script are all fantastic and the only annoying factor is that the puzzles can become a bit illogical at times. This might turn some people away from the experience, but have no doubt that this is a great and fun adventure.

This is a title that does a whole lot right but never really manages to stand out from the crowd. The controls feel right, there are plenty of race types and vehicles and the online mode does it's job well enough. If you're a fan of moto cross you'll definitely find plenty to like here.

A well-made shoot'em up that's a bit too short for the price tag.

Manipulate everyday objects, like skateboards, balls or pipes to achieve your goals. It looks great and is quite fun, but don't expect a hit of such magnitude as Rovios more known series.

Advanced Warfare is one of the most interesting games in the series so far, mostly thanks to a futuristic theme and Titanfall-inspired mechanics. Unfortunately the game feels a bit unpolished when it comes to online battles and because of that it never reaches its full potential.

With Soviet Assault we're treated to an exiting and realistically detailed experience of war set in the year of 1989. As with the original game the presentation is as attractive as it is detailed and realistic. The expansion adds an intense war campaign and a truckload of red flags. The increased intensity is unfortunately hampered by an equally increased complexity of gameplay, but overall this is a great experience for all fans of strategy and warfare.

You know what you'll get with Lego games. It's a great family game with lots of humor and content, but at the same time it's more or less the same as its predecessor, complete with the same (minor) flaws. It's about time for TT Games to at least fix those flaws.

A rhythm game with fantastic music from the Final Fantasy games. Though some game modes are pretty pointless and it's a bit too easy for veterans.

Spec Ops: The Line stands out in a few ways. Most notably are the sandstorms, the beautiful environments and a story inspired by Apocalypse Now. Sadly, other aspects of the game might not stand out as much.

This is a strategy game of the more intricate kind, which for you means heavy on the tactics and less in the way of action. Coupled with the fact that the game lacks a proper tutorial you'll be left in the dark about the game's mechanic's, leading to a unnecessary and annoying trial and error approach to learning the game's ins and outs. If you're a die hard strategy nut and willing to invest some time in mastering the game there is much to enjoy here.

A remake of a classic game, in which the controlls are so sluggish that only nostalgia can appreciate it.

Humoristic role playing in a post apocalyptic Sweden. An enthralling world, but sadly the game feels unfinished in several aspects.

Think Mario Kart meets Crimson Skies. In Mysims Sky Heroes you will find yourself competing in races as well as shooting other enemies in dog fights. It's a fun concept, but after a while it gets boring because of the lack of variation.

Return to Arkham City, taking the role of both the caped crusader and his protege Robin. This DLC is a little bit to short, and the amount of hand holding from the developers is tremendous. Fun, but not really worth the price.

Mafia II isn't really what it should have been after the brilliant Mafia. It's just another wannabe action sand box games, but with a good story.

Sherlock Holmes himself becomes the suspect in a murder investigation. Some moments, the crime scene investigations for example, are really fun, but for the most part it's a pretty bland game with a low budget feeling.

The big blockbuster feature of Fracture is the ability to alter the terrain, creating new ways to traverse levels and approach combat. At least that's what Lucasarts aimed for, but the truth is that the result is merely the same old formula we're used to coupled with a new tool that doesn't really change things for the better. Add to this a horrendously stupid AI, a lackluster online mode and an extremely linear story and what you end up with is a title that's decent at best.

WRC is a mediocre game which combines good driving in the more realistic direction with terrible presentation and a basic but well-functioning online mode. Despite some good points, it is a half-hearted production that falls short of competing with far better titles that are available for half the price tag.

It's fun to dance, but overall this game feels a bit cheap and a bit too simple for its own good.

The Shoot is a stylish rail shooter that both entertain and annoy. The actual shooting works fine, but some other movements are not always recorded as they should. Moreover, it's unnecessarily difficult to unlock the few courses that are available - especially for younger players. Thanks to the nice setting and an intelligent scoring system, The Shoot is still a good choice for fans of the genre.

With a new tower defence mode and a pretty entertaining appearance by the snowmen Valley of the Yetis manage to bring something new into the Far Cry series. Sadly the world is a bit dull, and the story is poorly written.

Poor driving mechanics and flawed level design makes this title a bad choice for those who are interested in good kart games. But the high amount of customization options makes it an excellent choice for creative people.

Wii Sports Resort is a mixed bag when it comes to value for money. If you already own a number of Wiimotes this will give you a really entertaining experience with friends and family. Most of the new minigames are really entertaining and the revamped ones have been greatly improved. The Wii Motion Plus does improve the overall feeling a lot, but since it remedies past shortcomings that's more of a necessity than a strength. As a whole this is definitely not entertaining enough to warrant multiple purchases to get the Wii Motion Plus but if you already own the controls you'll find a lot to like here.

A unique card battle game with some good ideas, but it lacks the collection part and the design is awful.

Too many factors feel randomized and the animations looks great but takes too long to finish up. Still, an easy-going game that might be the starting point of a nice franchise comeback.

What should be a bonus game mode has been made into a full price game. Although it's fun at times it's really short and lacks content.

It's a bit expensive and we have seen it all before but it does give a stereotypical amusement for a while.

Rome II is somewhat of a disappointment. The great battles the series is known for are still here, but they are far too easy to master. The series AI has always been a problem and that still remains. Instead it’s the game outside of the battles that draws you in with the politics and diplomacy of the Roman empire.

As a horror dungeon crawler, the biggest problem is the lack of horror. Some RPG elements are really good, but the game is very monotonous.

The HD Edition of Heroes of Might & Magic III introduces some graphical improvements but lacks the modernized user interface introduced to the original game through mods. It is still as enjoyable and time-consuming as ever but for those not opting for the Ios version the Complete Edition has the better content value.

The combination of fighting and music can seem strange at first, but it actually works pretty well. Unfortunately both the fighting system and the music selection isn’t good enough. Still it is a decent game for those who want to try something new.

When Secret Agent Clank shows it's best sides, it really shines. There is a good portion of humour to be found here and a lot of what makes the Ratchet & Clank-games great is also present here. Unfortunately, Clank isn't capable of maintaining the same level of quality all the way through. It's a competent adventure, but Clank misses his trusty partner in crime.

A bit disappointing start aside, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright becomes a pretty descent game after a couple of hours, even if the gameplay is full of missing potential. Instead of a interesting mash-up it's safety first, with well known mechanics and very few surprises.

With the game based upon the movie bearing the same name we're hard pressed to actually connect the dots in the plot, the reason for this being that the plot is laid out so poorly it's virtually impossible to grasp. Instead of great narration the storytelling is based upon you being sent from area to area to destroy robots, which is actually surprisingly fun. Even though this is by no means a great game it will appeal to the younger audience looking for an action title with big robots in it.

It's hard to tell if this is mostly a game or a tech demo. As a game it doesn't have much to offer, but it showcases the Vitas controls in a great way.

Quantity before quality, with over 70 playable characters. Even though there's a massive amount of fan service, the game still feels as a step backwards compared with its predecessors.

State of Decay could be the ultimate zombie experience and in some ways it actually is. Unfortunately a ton of of technical issues and game-breaking bugs hampers the experience a great deal. It is a shame that the developer did not even try to fix the shortcomings that the Xbox 360 version suffered from.

This is the first game to support Nintendo's new add-on Wii Motion Plus and the additional precision does benefit the game a whole lot. Without the add-on the controls are somewhat flimsy and imprecise, but with Motion Plus added in the mix the controls really feel natural and precise. Unfortunately there are still a whole lot of motions that aren't registered correctly, and the presentation isn't somewhat shoddy. Grand Slam Tennis is proof that Motion Plus does improve precision but it can't save a mediocre game.

Solve puzzles in a bizarre colorful environment, using different characters with different abilities. But the puzzles are too easy and too illogical for this game to be much more than mediocre.

A point and click adventure with a nice art style and good voice acting. Though it's a bit too slow and many puzzles are illogical and far-fetched.

The Kinect controls actually work quite fine, but there's just not enough content here for the price and it gets repetitive too soon.

This is an odd combination of point and click gameplay with RPG-style battles. Even though the story and the dialogue is fun and true to the series, the developers have gone overboard with the amount of reading that has to be done to progress in the game, which ultimately makes the overall experience a bit tedious.

Among the Sleep sets up a very interesting premise; the player controls a two year old toddler stuck in a nightmarish world. An interesting idea that start off great, but since the game isn’t very scary nor challenging it gets a bit dull after a while. It might still worth a playthrough, especially if you want horror without gore or violence.

Baja: Edge of Control does have some things going for it. Great handling, great courses and tight racing brings a lot to the table. Unfortunately it lacks the edge it needs to stand out from it's competitors. The attitude is pale, the career mode is way to shallow and somewhere down the road it gets lost in the dust from it's competitors.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris possesses admirable intentions. The characters exhibit a rare diversity and the game encourages collaboration, for up to four players. Unfortunately Crystal Dynamics does not trust their players and serves us a game without significant difficulty.

A strange brew of the Disney universe mixed with Final Fantasy characters in a platform adventure with a lot of fighting and some RPG elements. Unfortunately, it is unnecessarily complicated and wants to be smarter than it really is. The game gets better after a couple of hours, but it's basically only a must buy for the series' biggest fans.

Takes you back in time and let you command a trading company under the 17th century. Trading, diplomacy and war are all natural ingredients of this RTS game. A good alternative if you’re looking for a trading simulation with a historical perspective.

Fantasy Life tries to bite of more than it can manage to chew. After a positive start and a fun setting where ordinary jobs is as important as a warrior and mage the game gets repetitive and dull. Fantasy Life is to slow and shallow to be an epic adventure in the style of Final Fantasy, yet to rush in tempo to achieve the same state of mindfulness as Animal Crossing. In the end it's a pleasant but forgettable experience.

Resident Evil takes another step towards the action genre, and by doing so loses even more of the atmosphere from the beginning of the series. It's an ok action game, but the lack of focus is the real problem. Probably not for fans of the first games.

Movie tie in games have had a long track record of really poor experiences, but this has begun to change recently and the Monsters vs. Aliens game is a pleasant example of this improvement. This experience is both fun an varied, and this very fact make the somewhat patchy presentation very unfortunate since it can make progression difficult at times. Despite this we can recommend this game to young and older gamers alike.

It looks unique and it has got some great ideas. It's just too short and not polished enough.

The Wii U version of Steamworld Dig is the same game that we have seen on pretty much every other console. It offers the same addictive gameplay, has charming graphics and is just long enough. At the same time it’s a little bit shallow and can be pretty repetitive after a while.

The Vita's touch control is not optimal for throwing darts and Top Darts feels more like a smartphone app.

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is an uninspired sequel that does not do much to change the stagnant Lego formula. The title instead takes a step backwards compared to the recent Lego games. The adventure still entertains thanks to the humor and charm, but TT Games really have to start innovate the formula now.

Grand Slam Tennis 2 is built on a solid foundation but there's nothing special about it. There are better tennis games out there.

NHL 15 is a promising but lacking premiere on the new consoles. Basic mechanics work great and the new physics engine improves the shooting and skating quite a bit. Unfortunately there isn’t much more to do than shoot and skate since most of the in-depth content is missing. What isn’t missing though is odd bugs and lousy defensive play. NHL 15 is still a good game, but it should have been better.

Escape plan looks really good with its black and white art style. The touch controls are too imprecise though and that leads to too much trial and error.
