Lost in Random enjoys an exquisite universe, between an artistic direction reminiscent of the golden age of stop motion and a particularly rich narration. Add to that combat mechanics cleverly built and well executed despite some redundancies and some under-exploited ideas. But in the end, Zoink offers us a fascinating macabre tale that never runs out of steam over time and is worth browsing.

Lone Echo II is in the right lineage of the first episode and above all enhances a formula that has proven itself. We therefore find a very endearing duo, an ultra-immersive weightless control system, a clever scenario and a classic science-fiction universe, but well developed. However, he can be criticized for relying a little too much on the qualities of the initial game as well as a jagged pace, in particular because of a somewhat sluggish start to the adventure. Still, this is a must-see sequel if you loved the previous game and are eager to uncover Jack and Liv's fate.

Oxenfree 2 is excellent entertainment whose magic lies mainly in its gripping writing, well-constructed characters, and absolutely brilliant sound work, voice acting and music included. If you liked the first part, no doubt you will love its sequel, which retains the same aura overall and only deepens a few aspects of its experience, capable of immersing you in its captivating universe from its first minutes.

Upon its 1.0 release, Arknights Endfield already offers a solid foundation to compete alongside open-world gacha giants like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves. With its sleek industrial aesthetic, dynamic tactical combat, and original factory system, Gryphline's title has a strong enough identity to stand out. However, you'll need some patience to fully appreciate the game's potential due to its technical jargon, numerous tutorials, and sometimes overwhelming menus. Of course, gacha games are ultimately judged in the long run, but at launch, Arknights Endfield offers a high-quality experience with enough content to be worth your time if you're willing to invest in it. The question remains whether Gryphline will succeed in building on this promising start with future updates.

With Jedi Survivor, Respawn-Electronic Arts takes us on a real Star Wars adventure. The atmosphere and the grandiosity of the sets go into light speed, thanks to the use of ray tracing and the power of the PS5 / Xbox Series generation. The open areas are really fun to ride and never veer into easy filling. The staging is top notch from start to finish, delivering both epic and touching scenes. The writing and the scenario even gain in thickness. Finally, we would have just liked the gameplay, certainly more complete, to be the subject of the same trajectory correction... Beyond a fairly classic start to the adventure, Jedi Survivor sticks to the skin - even after 30 hours of gameplay. An excellent action-adventure game and an excellent Star Wars title.

Songs of Conquest is as beautiful and bewitching as it suggests, it's a worthy heir to the old Heroes of Might and Magic. It brings significant and welcome improvements to the old formula and will already know how to keep you busy from its early access. A few rebalancing and some improvements in the interfaces, and it could well become a staple of the genre. [Early Access Score = 75]

The Surge 2 improves on every aspects of the previous game. It’s more nervous, more intense, more varied. It’s consolidating on the very solid base of the first The Surge, and does it well.

Metroid Prime 4 Beyond clearly follows in the footsteps of the original trilogy: a solid, immersive adventure, driven by a strong atmosphere, more interesting combat than expected, and truly memorable bosses. It could be criticized for its somewhat predictable exploration, a very linear structure, and a few underutilized powers, but the gameplay loop remains enjoyable once it gets going. On the Switch 2, the game serves as a true technical showcase, with convincing display modes and a wide range of control options, including a surprisingly successful mouse mode. Without revolutionizing the formula or the genre, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond reminds us why 3D Metroid remains unique and stands out as one of the most important titles in Nintendo's 2025 catalog, if not the most important. That is, provided you accept that it prioritizes mastery over risk-taking.

Laser League is typically the kind of game which is enjoyable for a few minutes, before it reveals its own weakness: repetitivness, mostly due to a lack of depth. Which is sad, because its main idea is really cool.

Atelier Ryza 2 is a frustrating experience as it continues to deconstruct the main principles that have supported the series for more than 10 years. We are witnessing a script written on a corner of the table, an interventionist adventure full of empty dungeons, and uninspired conversations between characters of all kinds. It is the sad impression of a forced march towards naive and insipid general public standards which destroy the charm of yesteryear. However, we take a lot of fun in the fights and with the flawless alchemy system that appears more than ever as the last bulwark before the general collapse.

Undoubtedly the best opus of the license released to date. In addition to the already gargantuan lifespan, further improved in solo and multiplayer thanks to a My NBA mode boosted by the choice of 4 eras, the return of the Jordan Challenge, the co-op mode in My Team and the Career Theater, the gameplay in will delight some. The former crazy dribblers are now limited online and must think collectively, the shooting timing is more demanding, but much fairer and a lot of new animations come to shake up the regulars. Graphically impeccable, taking in immersion with old-school skins for period matches, the title enters the Hall of Fame. Only gray areas, the usual desire (or even need) to take out the credit card to get more VC and advance your player, a matchmaking that is still quite unbalanced and some crashes on certain career quests. Even MJ can have flaws.

The result is a rather confused adventure, where the player is easily lost between two puzzles. The whole thing is not helped by a script and an uninteresting universe. However, some good game design ideas, like the possibility of entering inside certain mechanisms, hit the mark. And the diversity of the puzzles is to be welcomed. A Dark Matter is thus a pleasant title despite its flaws. But far from being a must in VR.

With its endearing characters and effective humor, Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the pleasant surprises of the end of the year, which is obviously aimed at a very large audience. Behind this careful writing, we feel a deep love on the part of the developers of Eidos Montreal for its marginalized space. And if the adventure is not as epic as we hoped, the journey is nonetheless pleasant with its moments of complicity and the many choices offered which reinforce the player's involvement. A truly attractive journey, in particular thanks to an efficient and fluid combat system which nevertheless shows its limits at the end of the game and against the bosses. Finally, it is more on its visual part that the title can divide. If we find on the one hand original environments and neat character models, we also note the presence of less convincing facial animations in places and sometimes less fine landscapes. It is nonetheless a gripping adventure alongside the galaxy's greatest magnificent losers that has plenty to please MCU fans.

Outriders Wordslayer is definitely the expansion that fans of Square Enix's Looter-Shooter have been waiting for. Without ever revolutionizing either the game or the genre, this DLC is extremely generous in content and offers enough new features to encourage players to return to the planet Enoch. People Can Fly refines its title in its own way and spices up a desired nervous and gratifying adventure.

Although it is a nice homage to the first adventures of the hedgehog, Sonic Origins could have deserved a better finish. Overall, this compilation is correct, but the options offered are not enough to make up for certain shortcomings. Despite a really successful dressing with its cartoons and colorful interface, SEGA's game constantly oscillates between good and bad. We're having a good time, but for Sonic's 30th anniversary, we were right to expect more games and surprises. Especially at a price of forty euros.

The result is an addictive experience thanks to its simple, but effective concept based on increasing power and replayability. If we would have liked a little more variety in the level objectives, the challenge overcome manages to make us forget this pitfall. In short, an ideal reason to relaunch Splatoon 3.

While it splits its gameplay in two with competitive online and the possibility of realistic (slower and animated) offline, the ex-FIFA won't calm players' frustrations. The reasons are the rivers of scorelines and scenarios still too much in favor of attacking dribblers, ordeals for defenders or AI goalkeepers. Among the satisfactions, we will still note the accomplished Manager Career mode with Live careers to prolong the fun, even if the lack of inspiration and renewal in the cinematics or licenses will weigh on the regulars. With the potential future competition from FIFA for the World Cup or Take-Two on the football game scene, not to mention a Football Manager 26 that promises to be Dantesque, EA FC will have to reinvent itself or go further to regain momentum in the years to come.

We immediately like Nobody Wants to Die for its controlled and simply sublime cyberpunk film noir atmosphere. We come back for the fabulous choices of staging, the animated universe and the gargantuan settings in which we could get lost for hours. The game nevertheless suffers from a handful of flaws in its narrative, its frustrating gray areas and the absence of a journal in which we could have kept track of convoluted affairs. The walking sim remains pleasant to navigate as a whole but its few mechanics are also regrettably too interventionist.
