FIFA 20 floods the player with content and so many things to do, so many way to play. But there’s nothing really new, which means that even the flaws from the previous game are still here.

Overall, Capcom Fighting Collection is a decent compilation. With its various bonuses, options and new modes, it appears to be an ideal companion for lovers of 2D fighting games. On the other hand, some choices (Cyberbots, Red Earth) can challenge and the Darkstalkers saga represents half of the titles available! A daring bet that will not please everyone, but we must recognize that the Street Fighter trilogy, with the anniversary edition, the Super Gem Fighter and the Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, is worth the detour. Depending on how attached you are to the ten games in this compilation, this one will have a more or less pronounced interest.

F1 24 suffers from the syndrome of many annualized sports licenses. The Codemasters developers took a risky gamble by modifying the gameplay of the previous edition which had, in our opinion, found an interesting balance between simulation and arcade. Accessible to everyone and rich in content, F1 24 is a convincing automotive title, but which does not bring major changes except for driving which will not suit everyone. From there, it will really depend on everyone's interest in this franchise, but the need for renewal is becoming glaring.

Wasteland 3, in the field of tactical in general and tactical RPG in particular, will inevitably suffer the comparison with some titles released since Wasteland 2, which proved that one could remain faithful to the spirit of the C-PRG without necessarily lacking a modern and deep approach. However, the old-school character of Wasteland 3 is sure to delight fans of the genre as the baby of InXile knows its lesson and recites it with some enthusiasm.

Hopefully the development teams are listening to the players, because while it's a highly recommendable game right now, Spellbreak has the potential to become a great one.

Some people will find the price a bit steep, and they probably won't be wrong. Yet, apart from the drastic selection of this compilation, Blizzard Arcade Collection has been the subject of real care.

F1 Manager 2022 was a fairly successful first attempt, and F1 Manager 2023 is following suit despite a tight development time. The software is a reference on the visual rendering of the races, far ahead of Football Manager and other Pro Cycling, with clever ergonomics and accomplished graphics in the preview of the Grands Prix. Effectively helped by the acquisition of all the licenses and a faithful modeling of the pilots, the title from Frontier does not yet reach the gargantuan content and the possibilities of its elders in the genre, but a few years will undoubtedly be enough for it to become the holy grail of sports management games.

Subnautica Below Zero does not seem to want to walk in other steps than that of its big brother. By reducing the map or vehicles, Below Zero is more to be seen as a very good expansion of the original game, more scripted version and a little more hostile than the first episode. If Below Zero undoubtedly does better than the competition when it comes to making a scripted survival game, with a universe as enchanting as it is frightening hand-crafted, it would undoubtedly have gained more from the experience of 'origin to fully conquer the veterans of the franchise, who, despite everything, will take undeniable pleasure to go diving again, just like the newcomers, who will have the chance to discover for the first time this atypical and oh so immersive way of approaching the game of survival.

At the moment, Overwatch 2 cannot be considered a new game in its own right, but is positioned much more as a huge content update. The title in its full version will really see the light of day when the Story mode is released. However, it remains an addictive and very well thought-out shooter with heroes just as interesting and endearing as each other. It knows how to please experienced players, as well as occasional players thanks to a wide variety of mechanics to master. Even if the Battle Pass turns out to be a big gray area, the new features are really attractive and offer great prospects for the community.

Civilization VII is a real success. When you are the old behemoth of a genre that has welcomed new faces in recent years, it is often difficult to adapt, but the developers at Firaxis have perfectly fulfilled their mission by drawing inspiration from the best elements of the competition while keeping what makes the series strong. The separation into distinct ages with different directions and the many ways to adapt our strategy allow for engaging games right to the end, where weariness often took over at the end of the game in previous games. With a top-notch soundtrack and more refined and detailed visuals, Civ 7 will attract all audiences even if the user interface probably deserves some fixes. Although we would have liked a less invasive DLC policy from the start, there is no doubt that you will spend long nights playing “just one last round” and that you will not regret it. Excellent opus!

Without revolutionizing the genre, Wild Hearts offers a direct approach to the game of hunting. The Gardens Between's story certainly does not shine but the game features a brilliant concept and artistic design and delivers a truly enjoyable experience.

Kylotonn tooks its time to cook its WRC 8, and it’s all for the best. Deeper and prettier than any of its predecessors, WRC 8 as a great career mode and looks good. It also plays better, with sharper driving.

Risk of Rain 2 is a real success, so much so that it makes the first episode look like a nice draft.

Mafia has finally regained its splendor and this remake will be a very good entry point for anyone who wants to discover a game that marked its time, with a little indulgence, while fans will appreciate this facelift that never betrays the essence of the original experience, while modernizing it despite its sometimes aging aspects.

As soon as the last gear is unlocked, the end credits take us back from the gaming systems that were only waiting for a final level to shine brightly. We would have liked to be able to test our abilities in one final twisted climb, defending ourselves from an ambush with uncertain outcome or in a final duel at the top like Genishiro Ashina de Sekiro.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! provides the show and offers fans of the "Yakuza" saga an epic feudal epic at will. This remake in no way distorts the original 2014 experience, but modernizes the visuals and gameplay enough to make the adventure memorable a decade later. Ishin! is not perfect, far from it, and has some shortcomings, especially technical. However, the pleasure of playing a “Yakuza” game is there, and that is the main thing.

While the latest titles in the PGA Tour license left us a little hungry, 2K21 being too classic and 2K23 not very ergonomic, PGA Tour 2K25 manages to enchant with its Career mode. The latter is very complete, leaving an exhilarating feeling of progression throughout the season with marketing choices, calendar, equipment and skill points finally completed. The most discerning will say that NBA 2K lacks an open world, but it is clear that there has been progress this year also in online games. The fully customizable gameplay is still as precise in approaches or putts. Enough to live a great experience for any fan of golf or the saga.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is an experience that is both very family-friendly and accessible. Two boxes ticked brilliantly. TT Games undoubtedly offers the ultimate LEGO Star Wars experience for all fans of the series as well as an ideal entry for the youngest into galactic adventures.

Lost in Random enjoys an exquisite universe, between an artistic direction reminiscent of the golden age of stop motion and a particularly rich narration. Add to that combat mechanics cleverly built and well executed despite some redundancies and some under-exploited ideas. But in the end, Zoink offers us a fascinating macabre tale that never runs out of steam over time and is worth browsing.

The game shows too quickly what it has to offer and struggles to infuse the feeling of progression essential in this type of register, due to a slightly unbalanced structure.
