    Myriad survivors, items, enemies, and bosses return to Risk 2, and many new ones are joining the fight. Brand new survivors like the Artificer and MUL-T debut alongside classic survivors such as the Engineer, Huntress, and -- of course -- the Commando.     Risk of Rain 2 is an amazingly entertaining, atmospheric roguelike with tons of replayability. Although it has some sour spots for solo players, such as its quests, it's definitely worth your time! With over 110 items to theory craft with, it'll have you playing for hours on end, slaying intergalactic foes with a simple strum of an electric ukelele.

    Thankfully, there’s something about the core feel to the gun-play and movement that mostly makes up for things. Everything is snappy, even with the screen chock full of enemies, gunfire and gigantic bosses. Getting a particularly powerful upgrade early on feels like winning the lottery, while teaming up with 3 players online makes the grind far more appetising. It’d have been nice to be able to keep something from each run, and have online loot shared amongst the team, but as it is, Risk of Rain 2 is a great example of the genre.

    If you have a like minded group of friends then this is a good game, but if you are a single player, then only serious masochists need apply.

    Risk of Rain 2 is a 3rd Person Rouge-Like Shooter with overwhelming odds. Risk of Rain 2 brings all of the original concepts from the firstRisk of Rain 2 is a 3rd Person Rouge-Like Shooter with overwhelming odds. Risk of Rain 2 brings all of the original concepts from the first game to a 3d environment. You play as a survivor, and are dropped into an open area to find the Teleporter. Along the way you are faced with ever-growing odds as a difficulty timer ticks away. The longer you take, the harder the game becomes. This mixed with up to 4 person multiplayer makes for a seriously intense game. Battle against the increasing enemies, and scour the areas for artifacts to make yourself more powerful. Each item you acquire gives you a new bonus in an attempt to keep you strong enough for the oncoming storm. Once you find and activate the Teleporter, it will summon a boss wave, and you must survive this to teleport to the next area. Be careful! Once you die that's it, you lose everything you've collected and are tasked with starting over. There are a vast variety of unlockable characters, each with their own unique play style and special powers. Single player is a non-stop battle to stay as powerful as you can as the enemies seem to never stop coming at you. Slightly repetitive, the game never ceases to challenge you on every level, by moving the items and teleporter randomly. Risk of Rain 2 is an incredibly fun game, and even more so with friends. If you love to challenge themselves at every turn then Risk of Rain 2 is a needed addition to your library!… Expand
